1Research progresses on Cherenkov and transit-time high-power microwave sources at NUDT显示文摘Research progresses on Cherenkov and transit-time high-power microwave(HPM)sources in National University of Defense Technology(NUDT)of China are presented.The research issues are focused on the following aspects.The pulse-shortening phenomenon in O-type Cerenkov HPM devices is suppressed.The compact coaxial relativistic backward-wave oscillators(RBWOs)at low bands are developed.The power efficiency in M-Type HPM tubes without guiding magnetic field increased.The power capacities and power efficiencies in the triaxial klystron amplifier(TKA)and relativistic transit-time oscillator(TTO)at higher frequencies increased.In experiments,some exciting results were obtained.The X-band source generated 2 GW microwave power with a pulse duration of 110 ns in 30 Hz repetition mode.Both L-and P-band compact RBWOs generated over 2 GW microwave power with a power efficiency of over 30%.There is approximately a 75% decline of the volume compared with that of conventional RBWO under the same power capacity conditions.A 1.755 GHz MILO produced 3.1 GW microwave power with power efficiency of 10.4%.A 9.37 GHz TKA produced the 240 MW microwave power with the gain of 34 dB.A 14.3 GHz TTO produced 1 GW microwave power with power efficiency of 20%.Jiande Zhang Xingjun Ge Jun Zhang Juntao He Yuwei Fan Zhiqiang Li Zhenxing Jin Liang Gao Junpu Ling Zumin Qi 2016Matter and Radiation at Extremes2016,1,3:7
2Microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of linear friction welded S31042 heat-resistant steel显示文摘S31042 heat-resistant steel was joined by linear friction welding(LFW) in this study. The microstructure and the mechanical properties of the LFWed joint were investigated by optical microscopy, scanning electronic microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, hardness test and tensile test. A defect-free joint was achieved by using LFW under reasonable welding parameters. The dynamic recrystallization of austenitic grains and the dispersed precipitation of NbCrN particles resulting from the high stress and high temperature in welding, would lead to a improvement of mechanical property of the welded joint.With increasing the distance from the weld zone to the parent metal, the austenitic grain size gradually increases from ~1μm to ~150μm, and the microhardness decreases from 301 HV to 225 HV. 4Microstructure-dependent oxidation behavior of Ni-Al single-crystal alloys显示文摘The effect of theγ+γtwo-phase structure on the oxidation behaviors of Ni-Al single-crystal alloys at 650℃was investigated by scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,atomic force microscopy,X-ray diffraction and Auger electron spectroscopy.In the initial oxidation stage,the oxidation behavior is primarily determined by the growth pattern of oxides in theγchannel.The outward convex NiO was formed in unprotected wideγchannels.And Ni-Al spinel oxide provides a great number of short-circuit paths,accelerating the inward diffusion of oxygen and outward diffusion of Ni.In the late stage of oxidation,the elongated internal oxide in the largeγphase contributes to the diffusion of oxygen along the oxide/metal interface.Consequently,the Ni-Al single-crystal alloy with wideγchannels and largeγprecipitates exhibited poor oxidation performance.Jianlu Pei Yefan Li Chong Li Zumin Wang Yongchang Liu Huijun Li 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,52,17:4
5Ultra-fine W-Y_(2)O_(3)composite powders prepared by an improved chemical co-precipitation method and its interface structure after spark plasma sintering显示文摘Y_(2)O_(3)-doped tungsten(W-Y_(2)O_(3))composite powders prepared by a traditional chemical co-precipitation method possess obvious bimodal distribution in size,which would deteriorate their sintering properties.The bimodal distribution can be effectively eliminated by an improved chemical co-precipitation method,in which the cationic surfactant cetyltrimethyl-ammonium bromide(CTAB)was innovatively employed.The reduced powders with excellent uniformity have an average grain size of only~31.5 nm.It is noteworthy that Y_(2)O_(3)particles would fuse and grow with the growth of W grains during subsequent spark plasma sintering(SPS)process,which was rarely reported in relevant literature before.On top of that,phase interfaces of sintered W-Y_(2)O_(3)alloys were systematically analyzed.Compared to the intracrystalline oxygen content,the oxygen content at W/Y_(2)O_(3)phase boundaries is relatively higher.It can be found that the(110)crystal planes of W form coherent,semi-coherent,and non-coherent interfaces with different crystal planes of Y_(2)O_(3).The weak interfacial bonding strength between W and Y_(2)O_(3)phases results from relatively more oxygen impurities as well as more semi-coherent/non-coherent interfaces at phase boundaries compared with the inner W grains.Weiqiang Hu Qingshuang Ma Zongqing Ma Yuan Huang Zumin Wang Yongchang Liu 2019Tungsten2019,1,3:3
6Oxidation of amorphous alloys显示文摘Owing to their unique short-or medium-range ordered microstructures and excellent mechanical, physical, and chemical properties, amorphous alloys have attracted significant interest in recent years. For the application of amorphous alloys, clarifying their oxidation processes and mechanisms is necessary since many of the surface-related properties of amorphous alloys largely depend on the surface oxide layer.The aim of this paper is to review the recent research on the thermal oxidation behaviors of amorphous alloys under pure oxygen or air condition. The contents are divided into three categories according to the number of components the research considers, i.e., the oxidation of binary, ternary, and multi-component(>3) amorphous alloys. Each section discusses the thermal stability of the amorphous matrix, oxidation kinetics, and the oxide layer and amorphous substrate, which are strongly affected by internal factors(i.e., alloy elements and microstructure) and external factors(i.e., oxidation temperature, duration, and oxygen partial pressure, etc.). The general features of the oxidation of amorphous alloys – from simple binary to complex multi-component amorphous alloys – will be summarized. 7Cobalt hollow nanospheres: controlled synthesis, modification and highly catalytic performance for hydrolysis of ammonia borane显示文摘Size tunable cobalt hollow nanospheres with high catalytic activity for the ammonia borane(AB) hydrolysis have been synthesized by using the solvothermal method. The complexation between Co2+and ethylenediamine is observed to be critical for the formation of the cobalt hollow nanospherical structure.The morphology of the cobalt hollow nanospheres can be regulated by adjusting the original ethylenediamine/ethanol volume ratio, reaction time and temperature. Impressively, the magnetic property study reveals that the coercivity of the as-synthesized cobalt hollow nanospheres is much enhanced compared with that of bulk cobalt materials. Meanwhile, Co/Pt bimetal hollow nanospheres(Co Pt HS) and graphene-cobalt hollow composite nanospheres(Co HS-r GO) have also been explored. In comparison with the cobalt hollow nanospheres, both the Co Pt HS and Co HS-r GO show higher catalytic activities and better repeatability for the catalytic hydrogen generation from AB hydrolysis. 8Microstructure evolution and interface structure of Al-40 wt% Si composites produced by high-energy ball milling显示文摘High silicon content Al-Si composites with a composition of Al-40 wt% Si were fabricated via a highenergy ball milling method. The microstructure evolution of Al-40 wt% Si milled powders and sintered composites has been thoroughly studied by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, energydispersive spectrometry and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The mechanism of ball milling Al-40 wt% Si powders has been disclosed in detail: fracture mechanism dominating in the early stages, followed by the agglomeration mechanism, finally reaching the balance between the fragments and the agglomerates. It has been found that the average particle sizes of mixed Al-Si powders can be refined to the nanoscale, and the crystallite sizes of Al and Si have been reduced to 10nm and 62nm upon milling for 2h–50h, respectively. The finally formed Al-Si interfaces after ball milling for 50h are wellcohesive. A dense and homogenous Al-40 wt% Si composite have been achieved by solid-state sintering at550?C. 9Towards a Service-Oriented Architecture for a Mobile Assistive System with Real-time Environmental Sensing显示文摘With the growing aging population, age-related diseases have increased considerably over the years.In response to these, Ambient Assistive Living(AAL) systems are being developed and are continually evolving to enrich and support independent living. While most researchers investigate robust Activity Recognition(AR)techniques, this paper focuses on some of the architectural challenges of the AAL systems. This work proposes a system architecture that fuses varying software design patterns and integrates readily available hardware devices to create Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs) for real-time applications. The system architecture brings together the Service-Oriented Architecture(SOA), semantic web technologies, and other methods to address some of the shortcomings of the preceding system implementations using off-the-shelf and open source components. In order to validate the proposed architecture, a prototype is developed and tested positively to recognize basic user activities in real time. 10Stable confinement of Fe/Fe_(3)C in Fe,N-codoped carbon nanotube towards robust zinc-air batteries显示文摘Catalytic oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)have garnered great attention as the key character in metal-air batteries.Herein,we developed a superior nonprecious bifunctional oxygen electrocatalyst,fabricated through spatial confinement of Fe/Fe_(3)C nanocrystals in pyridinic N and Fe-Nx rich carbon nanotubes(Fe/Fe_(3)C-N-CNTs).During ORR,the resultant electrocatalyst exhibits positive onset pote ntial of 1.0 V(vs.RHE),large half-wave potentials of 0.88 V(vs.RHE),which is more positive than Pt/C(0.98 V and 0.83 V,respectively).Remarkably,Fe/Fe_(3)C-N-CNTs exhibits outstanding durability and great methanol tolerance,exceeding Pt/C and most reported nonprecious metal-based oxygen reduction electrocatalysts.Moreover,Fe/Fe_(3)C-N-CNTs show a markedly low potential at j=10 mA/cm^(2),small Tafel slopes and extremely high stability for OER.Impressively,the Fe/Fe_(3)C-N-CNTs-based Zn-air batteries demonstrate high power density of 183 mW/cm^(2)and robust charge/discharge stability.It is revealed that the spatial confinement effect can impede the aggregation and corrosion of Fe/Fe_(3)C nanocrystals.Meanwhile,Fe/Fe_(3)C and Fe-Nx play synergistic effect on boosting the ORR/OER activity,which provides an important guideline for construction of inexpensive nonprecious metal-carbon hybrid nanomaterials.Lingbo Zong Xin Chen Shuming Dou Kaicai Fan Zumin Wang Wenjun Zhang Yunmei Du Jie Xu Xiaofei Jia Qi Zhang Xia Li Yida Deng Yanan Chen Lei Wang 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,3:2
11Nutritional determinants of anemia among adults in Eastern China显示文摘Historically,Eastern China has the highest prevalence of anemia among adults in China. It is commonly believed that iron deficiency is the main cause of anemia in China. Iron fortified soysauce is used to prevent anemia. Findings from Jiangsu Nutrition Study suggest that diet is related to anemia in this region. However,iron deficiency is not the main cause. 12circStrn3 is involved in bone cancer pain regulation in a rat model显示文摘Bone cancer pain(BCP)is a common chronic pain that is caused by a primary or metastatic bone tumor,More detailed molecular mechanisms of BCP are warranted.In this study,we established a BCP rat model.The von Frey hair test,body weight,and hematoxylin and eosin staining were employed.We screened differentilly expressed circRNAs(DECs)between the BCP group and sham group.The results revealed that 850 DECs were significantly up-regulated and 644 DECs were significantly down-regulated in the BCP group.Furthermore,we identified 1177 diffrentially expressed genes(DEGs)significantly up-regulated and 565 DEGs significantly down-regulated in the BCP group.Gene Ontology annotation of all 1742 DEGs revealed that biological regulation of metabolic processes,cellular processes,and binding were the top enriched terrms.For Kyoto Ency-clopedia of Genes and Genomes analysis,phagosome,HTLV-I infection,proteoglycans in cancer,and herpes simplex infection were significantly enriched in this study.In addition,we identified four selected circRNAs,chr6:72418120|72430205.chr20:756105717573740,chr18:69943105|69944476,and chr5:167516581|167558250,by quantitative real time PCR.chr6:72418120|72430205(circStrn3)was selected for further study based on expression level and the circRNA--miRNA--mRNA network table.Western blot analysis suggested that knockdown of circStrn3 could effectively induce Walker 256 cell apoptosis.In summary,our study provided a more in-depth understanding of the molecular mechanisms of BCP.Yiwen Zhang Xiaoxia Zhang Zumin Xing Shuyi Tang Hanwen Chen Zhongqi Zhang Jiyuan Li Yalan Li 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,5:2

14Supermodulus effect by grain-boundary wetting in nanostructured multilayers显示文摘The effect of thermal treatments on mechanical properties was systematically investigated in Ni/Mo multilayers with a constant modulation period(160 nm)prepared by magnetron sputtering deposition.A supermodulus effect was found in the annealed multilayers as compared to the as-deposited state.A large tensile stress development was observed in the multilayers.The evolution of grain-boundary(GB)wetting was observed at the interfaces of the multilayers,which results in an enhanced modulus based on the mechanism of GB-wetting-induced interfacial stress/strain.The GB wetting phenomenon was further supported by a thermodynamic calculation.The results not only bring clear evidence of the important role of interfacial structures in governing the elastic behavior of metallic multilayers,but also allow designing the multilayers with special properties through atomic diffusion and wetting at the interfaces based on the thermodynamic calculation.Jing Wang Lu Han Xiaohu Li Dongguang Liu Laima Luo Yuan Huang Yongchang Liu Zumin Wang 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,6:1
