2Enhancing rice grain production by manipulating the naturally evolved cis-regulatory element-containing inverted repeat sequence of OsREM20显示文摘Grain number per panicle(GNP)is an important agronomic trait that contributes to rice grain yield.Despite its importance in rice breeding,the molecular mechanism underlying GNP regulation remains largely unknown.In this study,we identified a previously unrecognized regulatory gene that controls GNP in rice,Oryza sativa REPRODUCTIVE MERISTEM 20(OsREM20),which encodes a B3 domain transcription factor.Through genetic analysis and transgenic validation we found that genetic variation in the CArG box-containing inverted repeat(IR)sequence of the OsREM20 promoter alters its expression level and contributes to GNP variation among rice varieties.Furthermore,we revealed that the IR sequence regulates OsREM20 expression by affecting the direct binding of OsMADS34 to the CArG box within the IR sequence.Interestingly,the divergent pOsREM20IR and pOsREM20ΔIR alleles were found to originate from different Oryza rufipogon accessions,and were independently inherited into the japonica and indica subspecies,respectively,during domestication.Importantly,we demonstrated that IR sequence variations in the OsREM20 promoter can be utilized for germplasm improvement through either genome editing or traditional breeding.Taken together,our study characterizes novel genetic variations responsible for GNP diversity in rice,reveals the underlying molecular mechanism in the regulation of agronomically important gene expression,and provides a promising strategy for improving rice production by manipulating the cis-regulatory element-containing IR sequence.Xiaowei Wu Yan Liang Hengbin Gao Jiyao Wang Yan Zhao Lekai Hua Yundong Yuan Ahong Wang Xiaohui Zhang Jiafan Liu Jie Zhou Xiangbing Meng Dahan Zhang Shaoyang Lin Xuehui Huang Bin Han Jiayang Li Yonghong Wang 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,6:3
3The R&D status of DTL for CSNS显示文摘The China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) is a spallation neutron research facility being built at Dongguan in Guangdong Province. The 324 MHz Alvarez-type Drift Tube Linac will be used to accelerate the H- ion beam from 3 to 80.0 MeV with peak current 15 mA. The R&D of a prototype structure at the low energy section of DTL is taking place at IHEP. The first unit tank ~2.8 m in length and 28 drift tubes containing electromagnetic quadrupoles are developed. The SAKAE coils are applied in the fabrication of the electromagnetic quadrupoles. This paper introduces the R&D status of the tank and 28 drift tubes. 4Diagnostic Accuracy of the Apparent Diffusion Coefficient for Microvascular Invasion in Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Meta-analysis显示文摘Background and Aims:Microvascular invasion(MVI)is a major risk factor for the early recurrence of hepatocel-lular carcinoma(HCC)and it seriously worsens the prog-nosis.Accurate preoperative evaluation of the presence of MVI could greatly benefit the treatment management and prognosis prediction of HCC patients.The study aim was to evaluate the diagnostic performance of the apparent dif-fusion coefficient(ADC),a quantitative parameter for the preoperative diagnosis MVI in HCC patients.Methods:Original articles about diffusion-weighted imaging(DWI)and/or intravoxel incoherent motion(IVIM)conducted on a 3.0 or 1.5 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)system indexed through January 17,2021were collected from MED-LINE/PubMed,Web of Science,EMBASE,and the Cochrane Library.Methodological quality was evaluated using Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies 2(QUADAS-2).The pooled sensitivity,specificity,and summary area un-der the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUROC)were calculated,and meta-regression analysis was per-formed using a bivariate random effects model through a meta-analysis.Results:Nine original articles with a total of 988 HCCs were included.Most studies had low bias risk and minimal applicability concerns.The pooled sensitivity,specificity and AUROC of the ADC value were 73%,70%,and 0.78,respectively.The time interval between the index test and the reference standard was identified as a pos-sible source of heterogeneity by subgroup meta-regression analysis.Conclusions:Meta-analysis showed that the ADC value had moderate accuracy for predicting MVI in HCC.The time interval accounted for the heterogeneity.Yuhui Deng Jisheng Li Hui Xu Ahong Ren Zhenchang Wang Dawei Yang Zhenghan Yang 2022Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,4:2

9Mechanical design of a low β superconducting elliptical cavity for CSNS-II显示文摘Background A lowβsuperconducting elliptical cavity was designed for the China Spallation Neutron Source phase II project(CSNS-II).Methods The method to improve the mechanical stability of the lowβsuperconducting elliptical cavity was introduced,and the corresponding mechanical design was given.The software COMSOL Multiphysics and ANSYS APDL were used to calculate the static Lorentz force detuning factor k_(L)(LFD)and the helium pressure sensitivity factor k_(p)(DFDP)of the bare cavity,which were−4.71 Hz(MV/m)^(−2) and−21.1 Hz/mbar,respectively.The double-ring stiffeners reinforcement scheme was adopted.Results The radii of the double-ring stiffeners were 70 and 135 mm,respectively.The structure design of the helium vessel of the cavity was given.The following is the mechanical parameters of the reinforced cavity,the tuning sensitivity is 199.8 kHz/mm,longitudinal stiffness is 4.76kN/mm,k_(L) and k_(p) were−1.39 Hz(MV/m)^(−2) and 4.67 Hz/mbar,respectively,which met the operating requirements.The tuning sensitivity and stiffness of the reinforced cavity with different wall thicknesses were optimized,and the final wall thickness was selected as 4 mm.Conclusion The mechanical design of CSNS-II 648 MHz five-cell lowβsuperconducting elliptical cavity was introduced systematically in the paper.The LFD,DFDP,and the maximum surface stress of the cavity were reduced by optimizing the cavity wall thickness and the position of the double-ring stiffeners.The reinforced cavity met operational requirements.Peihua Qu Huachang Liu Yun Wang Bo Li Xiaolei Wu Ahong Li Mengxu Fan Qiang Chen Jun Peng 2021Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2021,5,3:0
10RF design of a compact 648 MHz single spoke cavity at CSNS显示文摘Purpose In order to increase CSNS beam power from 100 to 500 kW,the linac injection energy needs to be increased from 80 to 300 MeV.The combined layout of superconducting spoke cavities and lliptical cavities will be adopted to accelerate H-beam to 300 MeV.In this paper,a compact single spoke cavity withφ50-mm beam aperture was proposed,with the RF performance of the spoke cavity optimized to E_(p)/E_(acc).<5,E_(p)/E_(acc)<9,as well as the good multipacting behavior.Methods CST Microwave Studio was used to optimize the RF performance(E_(peak)/E_(acc),B_(peak)/E_(acc) R/Q)with cavity geometry parameters.After electromagnetic design was finished,multipacting behavior was studied with CST Particle Studio module,and cavity shape modification was made to get a reasonablevalue.Results The simulation got optimum results of E_(peak)/E_(acc)=4.97 and B_(peak)/E_((acc)=8.42 mT/(MV/m),and themax is 1.52at E_(acc)=7.74 MV/m.Conclusion A 648 MHzβ=0.4 single spoke cavity with beam apertureФ50 mm was proposed in the paper.This compact cavity may be a very promising option for CSNS linac upgrading.In addition to the optimization of the RF parameters,the multipacting behavior of the cavity is also studied,and cavity shape is optimized to reducevalue.Yun Wang Huachang Liu Jianping Dai Peng Sha Ziwei Deng Bo Li Mengxu Fan Ahong Li Peihua Qu Xiaolei Wu Qiang Chen 2019Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2019,3,3:0
11Genome-Wide Dissection of Quan 9311A Breeding Process and Application Advantages显示文摘Germplasm resource innovation is a crucial factor for cultivar development,particularly within the context of hybrid rice breeding based on the three-line system.Quan 9311A,a cytoplasmic male sterile(CMS)line,has been successfully cultivated using rice restoration materials and extensively employed as a female parent in hybrid breeding program in China.This line was developed by crossing the CMS line Zhong 9A with a two-line restorer line 93-11,with the intention of eliminating the restoring ability of 93-11 while retaining the sterility gene WA352c from Zhong 9A.Quan 9311A effectively amalgamates the most favorable agronomic traits from both parental lines.In this study,the relationship between phenotypic characteristics and the known functional genes of Quan 9311A were analyzed using the rice genome navigation technology based on whole-genome sequencing.The findings revealed that Quan 9311A harbors multiple superior alleles from both 93-11 and Zhong 9A,providing exceptional agronomic traits that are unavailable in earlier CMS lines.Despite the removal of the fertility restorer gene Rf3 from 93-11,numerous chromosomal segments from 93-11 persist in the Quan 9311A genome.Furthermore,the hybrid rice Quanyousimiao(QYSM)and the restorer line Wushansimiao(WSSM)were used as examples to illustrate the important role of Quan 9311A as the female parent in heterosis.It was found that QYSM carries a great number of superior alleles,which accounts for its high grain yield and wide adaptability.These insights not only advanced the utilization of hybrid rice pairing groups but also provided guidance for future breeding endeavors.The study introduced innovative concepts to further integrate genomics with traditional breeding techniques.Ultimately,Quan 9311A signified a significant milestone in rice breeding technology,opening up novel avenues for hybrid rice development.LI Qianlong FENG Qi WANG Heqin KANG Yunhai ZHANG Conghe DU Ming ZHANG Yunhu WANG Hui CHEN Jinjie HAN Bin FANG Yu WANG Ahong 2023Rice science2023,30,6:0
