3Crustal structure of the northwestern sub-basin, South China Sea: Results from a wide-angle seismic experiment显示文摘The crustal structure of the northwestern sub-basin area of the South China Sea was modeled by inverting a wide-angle seismic survey line across the entire region and on both sides of its bounding continental margins. The survey line extended over 484 km. A total of 14 Ocean Bottom Seismometers (OBS) were deployed at intervals of 30 km to record air-gun array sources with a combined volume of 5160 in 3 . The crustal velocity structure of the northwestern sub-basin area was acquired through the integration of multi-channel seismic data. OBS data were processed and modeled initially using ray tracing inversion techniques. Results indicate that crustal thickness under the continental slope decreases from 21 to 11 km, crustal thickness of the northwestern sub-basin is 7.7 km, and the depth to the Moho ascends from 21 km under the upper continental slope to 11 km under the middle basin. The crust of the northwestern sub-basin is similar to that of the eastern sub-basin in its oceanic crustal structure. This structure has a thicker layer 1 (sedimentary layer) and a thinner layer 2. These characteristics are especially clear in the eastern sub-basin, which differs somewhat from typical oceanic crust. The tectonic geometry and velocity structure of the northwestern sub-basin and its margins comprise a symmetrical conjugate and indicate a pure shear mode with regard to the continental margin rifting mechanism. We did not find clear seismic signals from high velocity layers under the lower crust of the continental margin in the northern part of the northwestern sub-basin, which provides new evidence for the idea that the western part of the northern continental margin of the South China Sea constitutes nonvolcanic crust. 4The HuangZaoSi Maize Genome Provides Insights into Genomic Variation and Improvement History of Maize显示文摘Maize is a globally important crop that was a classic model plant for genetic studies. Here, we report a 2.2 Gb draft genome sequence of an elite maize line, HuangZaoSi (HZS). Hybrids bred from HZS-improved lines (HILs) are planted in more than 60% of maize fields in China. Proteome clustering of six completed sequeneed maize genomes show that 638 proteins fall into 264 HZS-specific gene families with the majority of contributions from tandem duplication events. Resequencing and comparative analysis of 40 HZSrelated lines reveals the breeding history of HILs. More than 60% of identified selective sweeps were clustered in identity.by.descent conserved regions, and yield-related genes/QTLs were enriched in HZS characteristic selected regions. Furthermore, we dem on strated that HZS-specific family genes were not uniformly distributed in the genome but enriched in improvement/function.related genomic regions. 5Investigating the dynamic mechanical behaviors of polyurea through experimentation and modeling显示文摘Polyurea is widely employed as a protective coating in many fields because of its superior ability to improve the anti-blast and anti-impact capability of structures.In this study,the mechanical properties of polyurea XS-350 were investigated via systematic experimentation over a wide range of strain rates(0.001-7000 s^-1)by using an MTS,Instron VHS,and split-Hopkinson bars.The stress-strain behavior of polyurea was obtained for various strain rates,and the effects of strain rate on the primary mechanical properties were analyzed.Additionally,a modified rate-dependent constitutive model is proposed based on the nine-parameter Mooney-Rivlin model.The results show that the stress-strain curves can be divided into three distinct regions:the linear-elastic stage,the highly elastic stage,and an approximate linear region terminating in fracture.The mechanical properties of the polyurea material were found to be highly dependent on the strain rate.Furthermore,a comparison between model predictions and the experimental stress-strain curves demonstrated that the proposed model can characterize the mechanical properties of polyurea over a wide range of strain rates.Hao Wang Ximin Deng Haijun Wu Aiguo Pi Jinzhu Li Fenglei Huang 2019Defence Technology(防务技术)2019,15,6:13

11Petrogenetic contrastive studies on the Mesozoic early stage ore-bearing and late stage ore-barren granites from the southern Anhui Province显示文摘Yanshanian magmatisms are intensive in the southern Anhui Province and can be divided into early(152–137 Ma)and late(136–122 Ma) stages. A Yanshanian granitic zone was found to crop out along Qingshan to Changgai areas in the Tunxi district in Field investigation which has a genetic link with molybdenum multiple metal mineralization. To be a representative syenitic granite in the southern Anhui Province, the Huangshan pluton has not been found so far to have any genetic link with mineralization. Zircon LA-ICP-MS dating indicate that the four granitic bodies from the Qingshan-Changgai zone have concurrent formed ages from 140±4 to 141±2 Ma, belonging to the Yanshanian early stage magmatism. However, the Huangshan granite is dated to be 129±2 Ma, belonging to the Yanshanian late stage magmatism. The Qingshan-Changgai granites show high SiO2 and K2 O contents, low P2O5 contents and middle Al2O3 contents and are high-K calc-alkaline series metaluminum I-type granite. These rocks are characterized by enrichments in the large ion lithophile elements and light rare earth elements(REE), depletions in the high field-strength elements, and middle degree negative anomalies of Eu, geochemical features of arc or continent crustal derived magma affinities. These rocks have 87Sr/86Sr(t) ratios from 0.7120 to 0.7125, εNd(t) values from.7.24 to.4.38 and zircon εHf(t) values of.4.4 to 6.7, similar to that of the coeval ore-bearing granodiorites in the southern Anhui Province. Integrated geochemical studies indicate that the Yanshanian ore-bearing granodiorites were formed by partial melting of the Meso-Neoproterozoic accreted thickened low crust. Meanwhile, the Qingshan-Changgai granites were formed through a AFC process of plagioclase+amphibole+Shangxi Group of magmas that formed the ore-bearing granodiorites. The Huangshan granites are characterized by high SiO2 and K2 O contents, moderate Al2O3 contents, seagull shape REE distributed pattern and distinct Eu negative abnormities. Comparing with the Qingshan-Changgai granites, the Huangshan granites show more Ba, Sr, P,and Ti negative abnormities with no Nb and Ta depletions and are high-K calc-alkaline series metaluminum A-type granite. εHf(t)values of the Huangshan granites are from.6.6 to.1.2, similar to that of the early stage ore-bearing granodiorites, indicating that they were also formed by anatexis of the Meso-Neoproterozoic accreted crust, but their magma sources might be residual granulitic crust which ever underwent Yanshanian early stage I-type intermediate-acid magma extraction. Comparing studies on the two stages granites indicate that the early stage granites derived from a relative thickened low crust under a lower temperature condition. Their magma sources were Meso-Neoproterozoic accreted crust which enriched in ore-forming materials and further became more enriched through processes of magma AFC evolution. However, the late stage A-type granites originated from relative shallow crust under a higher temperature condition. Their magma source was depleted in ore-forming materials due to the early stage magma extraction and thus had weak ore-forming capacity. 12Cenozoic tectono-sedimentary characteristics and extension model of the Northwest Sub-basin,South China Sea显示文摘Based on the interpretations of three seismic profiles and one wide-angle seismic profile across the Northwest Sub-basin,South China Sea.stratigraphic sequences,deformation characteristics and an extension model for this sub-basin have been worked out.Three tectonic-stratigraphic units are determined.Detailed analyses of extension show that the event occurred mainly during the Paleogene and resulted in the formation of half-grabens or grabens distributed symmetrically around the spreading center.Sediments are characterized by chaotic and discontinuous reflectors,indicating clastic sediments. Farther to the southwest,the sub-basin features mainly continental rifting instead of sea-floor spreading. The rifting would have been controlled by the shape of the massif and developed just along the northern edge of the Zhongsha-Xisha Block,rather than joined the Xisha Trough.After 25 Ma.a southward ridge jump triggered the opening of the Southwest Sub-basin.The NW-directed stress caused by the sea-floor spreading of the Northwest Sub-basin may have prevented the continuous opening of the sub-basin.After that the Northwest Sub-basin experienced thermal cooling and exhibited broad subsidence.The deep crustal structure shown by the velocity model from a wide-angle seismic profile is also symmetrical around the spreading center,which indicates that the Northwest Sub-basin might have opened in a pure shear model.Weiwei Ding Mingbi Li Lihong Zhao Aiguo Ruan Zhenli Wu 2011Geoscience Frontiers2011,2,4:9
13Passive seismic experiment and ScS wave splitting in the southwestern subbasin of South China Sea显示文摘The seismic experiment of 3D array of OBS in the southwestern sub-basin of the South China Sea(SCS) is briefly introduced in this paper.The data analysis of broadband OBS shows that totally 93 earthquakes with magnitude of Ms 6.0-6.9 and 10 earthquakes with magnitude above Ms 7.0 were recorded in high quality during this experiment,especially the catastrophic earthquake Ms 9.0 occurred in the east sea area of Japan on March 11,2011.The anisotropy parameters inversion of ScS wave of four events above Ms 7.0 indicates that the fast direction of shear wave is N58°E parallel to the ceased spreading ridge of the southwestern sub-basin of SCS(the slow direction is S35°E perpendicular to the spreading ridge),which means the spreading ridge is under compressing stress at present and the cessation of seafloor spreading is related to such stress field as well.RUAN AiGuo LI JiaBiao LEE ChaoShing QIU XueLin PAN ShaoJun 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,25:9
14Human bronchial epithelial cell injuries induced by fine particulate matter from sandstorm and non-sandstorm periods:Association with particle constituents显示文摘Epidemiological studies have demonstrated the exacerbation of respiratory diseases following sandstorm-derived particulate matter(PM) exposure.The presence of anthropogenic and biological agents on the sandstorm PM and the escalation of PM < 2.5 μm(PM2.5)pollution in China have led to serious concerns regarding the health effects of PM2.5during Asian sandstorms.We investigated how changes in PM2.5composition,as the weather transitioned towards a sandstorm,affected human airway epithelial cells.Six PM2.5samples covering two sandstorm events and their respective background and transition periods were collected in Baotou,an industrial city near the Gobi Desert in China.PM samples from all three periods had mild cytotoxicity in human bronchial epithelial cell line BEAS-2B,which was positively correlated with the contents of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and several metals.All PM samples potently increased the release of interleukin-6(IL-6) and interleukin-8(IL-8).Endotoxin in all samples contributed significantly to the IL-6 response,with only a minor effect on IL-8.Cr was positively correlated with both IL-6 and IL-8 release,while Si was only associated with the increase of IL-6.Our study suggests that local agricultural and industrial surroundings in addition to the sandstorm play important roles in the respiratory effects of sandstorm-derived PM.Bin Wang Ning Li Furong Deng Nicholas Buglak George Park Shu Su Aiguo Ren Guofeng Shen Shu Tao Xinbiao Guo 2016Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,9:9
15Temperature pattern dynamics in shocked porous materials显示文摘The physical fields in porous materials under strong shock wave reaction are very complicated. We simulate such systems using the grain contact material point method. The complex temperature fields in the material are treated with the morphological characterization. To compare the structures and evolution of characteristic regimes under various temperature thresholds, we introduce two concepts, structure similarity and process similarity. It is found that the temperature pattern dynamics may show high similarity under various conditions. Within the same material, the structures and evolution of high-temperature regimes may show high similarity if the shock strength and temperature threshold are chosen appropriately. For process similarity in materials with high porosity, the required temperature threshold increases parabolically with the impact velocity. When the porosity becomes lower, the increasing rate becomes higher. 16Constructing a high-density linkage map for Gossypium hirsutum × Gossypium barbadense and identifying QTLs for lint percentage显示文摘To introgress the good fiber quality and yield from Gossypium barbadense into a commercial Upland cotton variety, a high-density simple sequence repeat(SSR) genetic linkage map was developed from a BC1F1 population of Gossypium hirsutum×Gossypium barbadense. The map comprised 2,292 loci and covered 5115.16 centi Morgan(c M) of the cotton AD genome, with an average marker interval of 2.23 c M. Of the marker order for 1,577 common loci on this new map, 90.36% agrees well with the marker order on the D genome sequence genetic map. Compared with five published high-density SSR genetic maps, 53.14% of marker loci were newly discovered in this map. Twenty-six quantitative trait loci(QTLs) for lint percentage(LP) were identified on nine chromosomes. Nine stable or common QTLs could be used for marker-assisted selection. Fifty percent of the QTLs were from G. barbadense and increased LP by 1.07%–2.41%. 17The morphotectonics and its evolutionary dynamics of the central Southwest Indian Ridge (49° to 51°E)显示文摘The morphotectonic features and their evolution of the central Southwest Indian Ridge(SWIR)are discussed on the base of the high-resolution full-coverage bathymetric data on the ridge between 49°–51°E.A comparative analysis of the topographic features of the axial and flank area indicates that the axial topography is alternated by the ridge and trough with en echelon pattern and evolved under a spatial-temporal migration especially in 49°–50.17°E.It is probably due to the undulation at the top of the mantle asthenosphere,which is propagating with the mantle flow.From 50.17°to 50.7°E,is a topographical high terrain with a crust much thicker than the global average of the oceanic crust thickness.Its origin should be independent of the spreading mechanism of ultra-slow spreading ridges.The large numbers of volcanoes in this area indicate robust magmatic activity and may be related to the Crozet hot spot according to RMBA(residual mantle Bouguer anomaly).The different geomorphological feature between the north and south flanks of the ridge indicates an asymmetric spreading,and leading to the development of the OCC(oceanic core complex).The tectonic activity of the south frank is stronger than the north and is favorable to develop the OCC.The first found active hydrothermal vent in the SWIR at 37°47′S,49°39′E is thought to be associated with the detachment fault related to the OCC.LIANG Yuyang LI Jiabiao LI Shoujun RUAN Aiguo NI Jianyu YU Zhiteng ZHU Lei 2013Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,12:7
18Secular trends in incidence of lung cancer by histological type in Beijing, China, 2000-2016显示文摘Objective: The objective of this study was to characterize secular trends in the sex-specific, age-standardized incidence of lung cancer by histological type in Beijing, China, from 2000 to 2016 based on data from a populationbased cancer registry.Methods: Data on the incidence of cancer from 2000 to 2016 were obtained from the Beijing Cancer Registry.We examined trends in the sex-specific, age-standardized incidence of lung cancer by histological type using a Joinpoint regression model.Results: A total of 117,409 cases of lung cancer were diagnosed from 2000 to 2016. Overall, 73,062(62.23%)patients were males. The most common histological type among both sexes was adenocarcinoma; however, the proportion of adenocarcinoma differed significantly between males and females(45.36% vs. 77.14%, respectively,P<0.0001). The age-standardized incidence of total lung cancer increased from 2000 to 2010 with an annual percent change(APC) of 2.2% [95% confidence interval(95% CI), 1.5% to 2.9%] and stabilized thereafter. Among males, the incidence of total lung cancer peaked in 2008 and then decreased slightly, with an APC of-1.1%(95%CI,-2.1% to-0.1%). Among females, the incidence increased continuously during the study period, with an APC of 1.4%(95% CI, 0.9% to 1.9%). The incidence of squamous cell carcinoma decreased significantly in recent years among both sexes, with APCs of-2.6%(95% CI,-4.5% to-0.6%) from 2007 to 2016 for males and-5.4%(95%CI,-7.2% to-3.6%) from 2004 to 2016 for females. In contrast, the incidence of adenocarcinoma increased continuously throughout the study period, by APCs of 4.0%(95% CI, 2.6% to 5.4%) for males and 6.2%(95% CI,4.8% to 7.6%) for females. The incidence of small cell carcinoma peaked in 2007 and stabilized thereafter among males, whereas it peaked in 2012 and then decreased with an APC of-14.7%(95% CI,-25.3% to-2.6%) among females. The incidence of large cell carcinoma and other specified malignant neoplasm did not change much,whereas the incidence of unspecified type decreased among both sexes during the study period.Conclusions: Although the incidence of squamous cell carcinoma decreased significantly among both sexes in recent years in Beijing, China, adenocarcinoma increased continuously throughout the study period among both sexes. Knowledge of differences in trends is useful for surveillance and control of lung cancer. 19Speciation of iron in atmospheric particulate matter by EXAFS显示文摘The study on elemental speciation in atmospheric particulate matter (PM) is important for understanding the formation and origin of pollution and evaluating their toxicity. In this paper,the speci- ation of iron in atmospheric PM was investigated with extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) spectra based on synchrotron radiation. The chemi- cal components of PM can be calculated by regres- sion analysis of EXAFS spectra. This is a non-destructive method. In order to have knowledge of the influence of chemical components on EXAFS spectra,we prepared a series of mixed reference samples,and proved the precision of method is good. The PM samples with different particle sizes and from different sampling sites were collected in Shanghai,China. The chemical components of the samples were calculated by regression analysis of EXAFS spectra. The results show that the iron in all PM samples mainly consist of Fe2O3,Fe3O4 and Fe2(SO4)3,but their proportions are different in dif- ferent samples. The changes of components among PM samples were observed preliminarily. The con- centrations of iron in the samples were determined by proton-induced X-ray emission (PIXE) technique.
