2Spatio-temporal Change and Carrying Capacity Evaluation of Human Coastal Utilization in Liaodong Bay,China from 1993 to 2015显示文摘In China, promoting the development of coastal areas has been included in a series of national strategic development plans.At the same time, many marine environmental problems have been associated with the rapid development of coastal sea use. In order to quantify the impact of human activities on the coast, the characteristics of coastlines and near-shore sea use of Liaodong Bay, Northeast China, were first classified using multi-source, remotely sensed imagery using automatic or semi-automatic extraction methods for five periods between 1993 and 2015. Sea use dynamics and coastline dynamics resulting from human activates were analyzed. Results showed a significant trend of continuous growth in sea use and a progressive increase in the total length of artificial coastline, but a noticeable loss of natural coastline during the five periods. Reclaimed land and enclosed areas were the main types of sea use. Most coastal human activities were distributed in the northern part of the bay. In recent years, rapid industrialization and urbanization in China's coastal areas have promoted large-scale land reclamation. Accordingly, the observed coastline changes during each period had a close relationship with coastal development and sea area utilization. Based on marine functional zoning(MFZ), the sea use carrying capacity was evaluated by means of indexes to describe human exploitation of the marine and coastal environments in the bay. This showed that the intensity of coastal utilization in Liaodong Bay has increased year-on-year. 3A modified multi-reference second order perturbation theory显示文摘A new scheme with extended model space is proposed to improve the calculation of multi-reference second order perturbation theory (MRPT2). The new scheme preserves the concise code structure of the original program, and avoids intruder states in constructions of the potential energy surface, which is confirmed by a series of comparable calculations. 4Potential energy surfaces for low-lying electronic states of SO_2显示文摘The potential energy surfaces for the nine low-lying electronic states of SO2 have been constructed by using the multi-reference second order perturbation theory (MRPT2) with the basis set cc-pVTZ. The optimized geometries and the adiabatic excitation energies of these states are in good agreement with experiments and previous calculations. 6Evaluation of Port Prosperity Based on High Spatial Resolution Satellite Remote Sensing Images显示文摘More and more ports appeared along China’s coastline, which destroyed natural coastline and coastal landscape. Some of them are inefficiency operations. It is important to evaluate operational efficiency of ports to reveal their position in regional competitive environment. In this study, high spatial resolution satellite remote sensing images were used to monitor ship number and plane area. The port-use prosperity index(PUI) was subsequently proposed to quantitatively describe port-use business and reveal port-use efficiency. The PUI was applied to six ports around the Bohai Sea, China. The number, scale, and plane of ships docked in these ports were easily monitored by the high spatial resolution satellite remote sensing images, and the PUI was calculated using a ship’s total plane area and length of docked coastline. The PUI is an objective and practical index for evaluating port-use efficiency. It can be used to compare differences in port use and indicate temporal port-use dynamics. The PUI values of Jingtang and Tianjin Ports were the highest(17.75 and 14.14, respectively), whereas that of Yantai Port was the lowest(8.31). The PUI values of the remaining ports were 9.0–10.70. A linear relationship existed between port throughput and PUI in the studied ports. 8Effects of preparation conditions of Au/FeO_x /Al_2O_3 catalysts prepared by a modified two-step method on the stability for CO oxidation显示文摘Composite oxide FeO x /Al 2 O 3 -supported gold catalysts were prepared by a modified two-step method. The effects of preparation conditions on the initial catalytic activity and long-time stability were studied for CO oxidation. XRD, XPS and in situ FTIR were employed to investigate the state of FeO x and the species on the catalyst surface. The results showed that Au/FeO x /Al 2 O 3 catalysts prepared by this method exhibited high activity and high stability in a wide pH value range. Calcination pretreatment was proved to be beneficial to improving the activity and stability. The beneficial effects of FeO x acting as a structural promoter could be ascribed to the ability to supply active oxygen species. 12Development of a vivo rabbit ligated intestinal Loop Model for HCMV infection显示文摘Background: Human Cytomegalovirus(HCMV) infections can be found throughout the body, especially in epithelial tissue. Animal model was established by inoculation of HCMV(strain AD-169) or coinoculation with Hepatitis E virus(HEV) into the ligated sacculus rotundus and vermiform appendix in living rabbits. The specimens were collected from animals sacrificed 1 and a half hours after infection.Results: The virus was found to be capable of reproducing in these specimens through RT-PCR and Western-blot.Severe inflammation damage was found in HCMV-infected tissue. The viral protein could be detected in high amounts in the mucosal epithelium and lamina propria by immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescense.Moreover, there are strong positive signals in lymphocytes, macrophages, and lymphoid follicles. Quantitative statistics indicate that lymphocytes among epithlium cells increased significantly in viral infection groups.Conclusions: The results showed that HCMV or HEV + HCMV can efficiently infect in rabbits by vivo ligated intestine loop inoculation. The present study successfully developed an infective model in vivo rabbit ligated intestinal Loop for HCMV pathogenesis study. 13Biomass dynamics of Quercus aliena var.acutesrata Community on Mountain Xiaolong in Gansu Province,China显示文摘The dynamics of tree layer biomass was studied by combining 35 sample plots of field census with biomass model estimation in a natural Quercus aliena var.acutesrata community on Mountain Xiaolong in Gansu Province,China.The tree layer biomass of Quercus aliena var.acutesrata community was 183660 kg/ha,in which the slow growth group accounted for 64.89%of the total biomass.The fast-medium growth group accounted for 33.40%and the coniferous group accounted for 1.38%.The organs biomass was found to be in the following order:trunk>root>branch>leaf.The total biomass accumulated with the development of the community.The total biomass and the biomass of the organs were highest in the mature community and became stable as the community developed.The relative growth rate of organs was in the following order:trunk>branch>root>leaf.The biomass ratio of the slow growth group trees tended to increase and the fast-medium group trees tended to decrease as the community developed,which was reveresed in the decline development stage.The biomass of the coniferous group was very small throughout the development process.Suo Anning Ju Tianzhen Zhang Junhua Ge Jianping 2006Frontiers in Biology2006,1,2:0
14Circulating Lipoproteins Mediate the Association Between Cardiovascular Risk Factors and Cognitive Decline:A Community‑Based Cohort Study显示文摘Cardiovascular health metrics are now widely recognized as modifable risk factors for cognitive decline and dementia.Metabolic perturbations might play roles in the linkage of cardiovascular diseases and dementia.Circulating metabolites profling by metabolomics may improve understanding of the potential mechanism by which cardiovascular risk factors contribute to cognitive decline.In a prospective community-based cohort in China(n=725),312 serum metabolic phenotypes were quantifed,and cardiovascular health score was calculated including smoking,exercise,sleep,diet,body mass index,blood pressure,and blood glucose.Cognitive function assessments were conducted in baseline and follow-up visits to identify longitudinal cognitive decline.A better cardiovascular health was signifcantly associated with lower risk of concentration decline and orientation decline(hazard ratio(HR):0.84–0.90;p<0.05).Apolipoprotein-A1,high-density lipoprotein(HDL)cholesterol,cholesterol ester,and phospholipid concentrations were signifcantly associated with a lower risk of longitudinal memory and orientation decline(p<0.05 and adjusted-p<0.20).Mediation analysis suggested that the negative association between health status and the risk of orientation decline was partly mediated by cholesterol ester and total lipids in HDL-2 and-3(proportion of mediation:7.68–8.21%,both p<0.05).Cardiovascular risk factors were associated with greater risks of cognitive decline,which were found to be mediated by circulating lipoproteins,particularly the medium-size HDL components.These fndings underscore the potential of utilizing lipoproteins as targets for early stage dementia screening and intervention.Jialin Li Qingxia Huang Yingzhe Wang Mei Cui Kelin Xu Chen Suo Zhenqiu Liu Yanpeng An Li Jin Huiru Tang Xingdong Chen Yanfeng Jiang 2024Phenomics2024,4,1:0
15Study on Au/Al_2O_3 catalysts for low-temperature CO oxidation in situ FT-IR显示文摘Au/Al2O3 catalyst was prepared by a modified anion impregnation method and investigated with respect to its initial activity and stability for low-temperature CO oxidation.The activity changes of the catalyst were examined after separate treatment in CO+O2 or CO2 +O2 .Furthermore,in situ FT-IR studies were performed to investigate the species on the surface when CO or CO+O2 or CO2 +O2 was selected separately as adsorption gas.The results showed that Au/Al2O3 catalyst exhibited very high initial activity,but the catalytic activity was found to decrease gradually during CO oxidation with time on stream.And also,the activity of the catalyst declined after treatment in CO+O2 or CO2 +O2 .The formation and accumulation of carbonate-like species during CO oxidation or treatment in CO+O2 or CO2 +O2 might be mainly responsible for the activity decrease,which was reversible.Xuhua Zou Shixue Qi Jinguang Xu Zhanghuai Suo Lidun An Feng Li 2010Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2010,19,3:0
16Incubation strategies of the Black-necked Crane(Grus nigricollis) in relation to ambient temperature and time of day显示文摘Background: The behavior of cranes reflects many of their survival strategies, but little has been known of the incubation strategies of cranes, in which both parents share incubation duties, in response to cold temperatures in alpine environments. The lack of information may restrict the effective conservation of the threatened Black-necked Crane(Grus nigricollis), a biparental bird nesting in high elevation wetlands.Methods: We directly observed and used infrared video cameras from 2014 to 2015 to study the incubation behavior and quantitatively measured the frequency and details of egg turning behavior in the Black-necked Crane at the Yanchiwan National Nature Reserve in western Gansu Province, China.Results: At lower ambient temperatures in the morning, crane parents spent more time on the nest with less recess frequency and prolonged on-bout duration, while at higher temperatures around noon, the parents had more frequent recesses from incubation and shorter periods between nest exchanges. They adjusted the amount of time incubating by varying the recess frequency and the length of on-bout duration. Mean nest attendance and egg turning frequency of females were significantly higher than those of the males. The nest attendance and on-bout duration of females showed a significantly negative relationship with those of males. The two parents responded differently to the change of temperature. Females spent more time on the nest at lower morning temperatures, while males increased their time on the nest at higher temperatures after noon. Higher incubation recess frequency and egg turning frequency were observed at noon, probably because parents spent more time foraging, taking advantage of the lower egg cooling rate.Conclusion: Both Black-necked Crane parents in the alpine environment adjusted their behavior in response to the thermal requirements of eggs and the weather conditions experienced. 19Suitability evaluation on marine ranching in Guangdong,South China显示文摘The ecological suitability of marine resources and environmental conditions for marine ranching in Guangdong,South China was evaluated.Niche theory was used to establish an ecological suitability evaluation model for marine ranching site selection,and suitability evaluation of marine ranching was conducted in.Results show that the ecological suitability index of marine ranching site selection was greater than 64.0 in 20 sites,including offshore Shantou Bay,offshore Zhanjiang Port,and Longdou Bay etc.,which are the priority areas for marine ranching.In other 13 sites,the ecological suitability index ranged between 8.0 and 32.0,including Houjiang Bay,Haimen Bay,and Jieshi Bay etc.,indicating the suitability for marine ranching.However,the ecological suitability index was 0 in Shantou Bay,Zhujiang(Pearl)River estuary,Huangmao Sea,Guanghai Bay,Zhanjiang Port,Qiongzhou Strait,and Anpu Port.These sites are thus unsuitable for marine ranching.This study provides a theoretical basis for site selection and planning of marine ranching in Guangdong Province.Anning SUO Weiguo ZHOU Dewen DING 2023Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,2:0
