3FABP4 secreted by M1-polarized macrophages promotes synovitis and angiogenesis to exacerbate rheumatoid arthritis显示文摘Increasing evidence shows that adipokines play a vital role in the development of rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Fatty acid-binding protein 4(FABP4),a novel adipokine that regulates inflammation and angiogenesis,has been extensively studied in a variety of organs and diseases.However,the effect of FABP4 on RA remains unclear.Here,we found that FABP4 expression was upregulated in synovial M1-polarized macrophages in RA.The increase in FABP4 promoted synovitis,angiogenesis,and cartilage degradation to exacerbate RA progression in vivo and in vitro,whereas BMS309403(a FABP4 inhibitor)and anagliptin(dipeptidyl peptidase 4 inhibitor)inhibited FABP4 expression in serum and synovial M1-polarized macrophages in mice to alleviate RA progression.Further studies showed that constitutive activation of mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1(mTORC1)by TSC1 deletion specifically in the myeloid lineage regulated FABP4 expression in macrophages to exacerbate RA progression in mice.In contrast,inhibition of mTORC1 by ras homolog enriched in brain(Rheb1)disruption specifically in the myeloid lineage reduced FABP4 expression in macrophages to attenuate RA development in mice.Our findings established an essential role of FABP4 that is secreted by M1-polarized macrophages in synovitis,angiogenesis,and cartilage degradation in RA.BMS309403 and anagliptin inhibited FABP4 expression in synovial M1-polarized macrophages to alleviate RA development.Hence,FABP4 may represent a potential target for RA therapy.Dong Guo Chuangxin Lin Yuheng Lu Hong Guan Weizhong Qi Hongbo Zhang Yan Shao Chun Zeng Rongkai Zhang Haiyan Zhang Xiaochun Bai Daozhang Cai 2022Bone Research2022,10,4:5
4Some observables as an indication of atomic nuclear shape phase transition显示文摘Using interacting boson model, shape phase transitions from U(5) to O(6) and from U(5) to SU(3) are studied in the space of two control parameters. Some simple shape phase diagrams in terms of the order parameter and one of the control parameters are presented. Spectra and E2 transition rates are used to construct observables. 5Evaluate the security margins of SHA-512, SHA-256and DHA-256 against the boomerang attack显示文摘For an n-bit random permutation, there are three types of boomerang distinguishers, denoted as Type I, II and III, with generic complexities 2~n, 2^(n/3) and 2^(n/2) respectively. In this paper, we try to evaluate the security margins of three hash functions namely SHA-512, SHA-256 and DHA-256 against the boomerang attack.Firstly, we give a boomerang attack on 48-step SHA-512 with a practical complexity of 2^(51). The correctness of this attack is verified by providing a Type III boomerang quartet. Then, we extend the existing differential characteristics of the three hash functions to more rounds. We deduce the sufficient conditions and give thorough evaluations to the security margins as follows: Type I boomerang method can attack 54-step SHA-512, 51-step SHA-256 and 46-step DHA-256 with complexities 2^(480), 2^(218) and 2^(236) respectively. Type II boomerang method can attack 51-step SHA-512, 49-step SHA-256 and 43-step DHA-256 with complexities 2^(158.50), 2^(72.91) and 2^(74.50) respectively. 6The metabolic role of LncZBTB39-1:2 in the trophoblast mobility of preeclampsia显示文摘Preeclampsia is characterized by new onset of hypertension and proteinuria after 20 weeks’gestation and is a leading cause of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality.The pathogenesis of preeclampsia is often associated with aberrant trophoblast function that leads to shallow placental implantation.However,the exact underlying mechanisms remain unclear.Placental LncZBTB39-1:2 expression level was investigated in 20 healthy placentae and 20 placentae with preeclampsia using qRT-PCR,and the metabolic profile of trophoblasts overexpressing LncZBTB39-1:2 in vitro was analysed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GCeMS).In this study,we found that the expression of LncZBTB39-1:2 was significantly higher in preeclamptic placentae than in healthy placentae.Our metabolomics results have shown that tricarboxylic acid cycle intermediates and metabolites related to carbohydrate metabolism were decreased with the overexpression of LncZBTB39-1:2 in HTR8/SVneo cells.These findings were validated by detecting a lower level of intracellular ATP in HTR8/Vneo cells.Furthermore,the migration of HTR8/SVneo cells was compromised when cells were transfected with a plasmid encompassing LncZBTB39-1:2 overexpression.From these results,we conclude that abnormal levels of LncZBTB39-1:2 expression might lead to aberrant conditions in HTR-8/SVneo trophoblast cells.Aberrant conditions might be associated with dysregulated trophoblast migration and subsequent failure of uterine spiral artery remodelling,a pathogenesis recognised as a contributing factor in the aetiology of preeclampsia.Yamin Liu Ting-Li Han Xiaofang Luo Yuxiang Bai Xuehai Chen Wei Peng Xi Xiong Philip N.Baker Chao Tong Hongbo Qi 2018Genes & Diseases2018,5,3:3
7Delineating spatiotemporal and hierarchical development of human fetal innate lymphoid cells显示文摘Whereas the critical roles of innate lymphoid cells(ILCs)in adult are increasingly appreciated,their developmental hierarchy in early human fetus remains largely elusive.In this study,we sorted human hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells,lymphoid progenitors,putative ILC progenitor/precursors and mature ILCs in the fetal hematopoietic,lymphoid and non-lymphoid tissues,from 8 to 12 post-conception weeks,for single-cell RNA-sequencing,followed by computational analysis and functional validation at bulk and single-cell levels.We delineated the early phase of ILC lineage commitment from hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells,which mainly occurred in fetal liver and intestine.We further unveiled interleukin-3 receptor as a surface marker for the lymphoid progenitors in fetal liver with T,B,ILC and myeloid potentials,while IL-3RA–lymphoid progenitors were predominantly B-lineage committed.Notably,we determined the heterogeneity and tissue distribution of each ILC subpopulation,revealing the proliferating characteristics shared by the precursors of each ILC subtype.Additionally,a novel unconventional ILC2 subpopulation(CRTH2–CCR9+ILC2)was identified in fetal thymus.Taken together,our study illuminates the precise cellular and molecular features underlying the stepwise formation of human fetal ILC hierarchy with remarkable spatiotemporal heterogeneity.Chen Liu Yandong Gong Han Zhang Hua Yang Yang Zeng Zhilei Bian Qian Xin Zhijie Bai Man Zhang Jian He Jing Yan Jie Zhou Zongcheng Li Yanli Ni Aiqing Wen Yu Lan Hongbo Hu Bing Liu 2021Cell Research2021,31,10:2

10Nucleation and growth mechanisms of γ〞 phase with single-unit-cell height in Mg-RE-Zn(Ag) series alloys: a first-principles study显示文摘The highly thermal stability precipitates strengthen creep resistance for alloys,which require precipitates to resist coarsen at elevated temperature.In the Mg-RE-Zn(Ag)series alloys,the key strengthening phase-γ'phase,remains its single-unit-cell height throughout aging process.The origin of such extremely thermal stability ofγ'phase is still unclear.By using the first-principles calculations,it is found that the formation ofγ'phase introduces compressive strain to its surroundingα-Mg lattice and simultaneously alter charge distribution ofα-Mg lattice near theα-Mg/γ'hetero-interface.These two variations overα-Mg lattice lead to lower vacancy formation energies and migration energy barriers for solute atoms near theα-Mg/γ'hetero-interface in comparison with that of bulk condition.Consequently,the variations facilitate rapid diffusion of solute atoms near theγ'phase and promote nucleation rate of otherγ'plates around it.On the basis of ledge-thickening model,the origin of nucleation/growth ofγ'phase with single-unit-cell height was explained.Thermodynamically and kinetically,the solute atoms are not apt to migrate into the nearest basal plane adjacent to theγ'phase.Moreover,the lower aging temperature(~200℃)and almost completely coherentα-Mg/γ'hetero-interface lead to the ledges are extremely hard to nucleate on the hetero-interface.Therefore,γ'plates maintain single-unit-cell height throughout aging process.Junyuan Bai Hongbo Xie Xueyong Pang Guo Yuan Lei Wang Yuping Ren Gaowu Qin 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,20:1

12Anomalous crystal structure of γ' phase in the Mg-RE-Zn(Ag) series alloys:Causality clarified by ab initio study显示文摘The crystal structure of the single-unit-cell thickness γ ' phase,as a key strengthening phase in Mg-REZn(Ag) series alloys,has been extensively studied,and several structural models have been proposed in the past two decades.However,these reported models,and even the lattice constants at the same proposed structure,are scattered severely,which has led to considerable confusion and not available for further mechanical property simulation and prediction of Mg alloys containing this phase.In this study,by using first-principles calculations,the crystal structure of y' phase is clarified,resolving the discrepancies among different experiments,and its intrinsic mechanical properties have also been studied for the first time.It is verified that the γ ' phase contains quasi-five atomic layers,instead of the previously reported tri-layer,and surprisingly,its crystal structure has many variants,which would change with the alloy composition.Besides,with the help of the simulated selected area electron diffraction(SAED) patterns,it is found that the atoms in the central layer remain partially ordered distribution,and this ordered extent primarily depends on the atomic ratio of RE:Zn(Ag) and the solute content in an alloy.That is,the ordered extent increases with decreasing the atomic ratio of RE:Zn(Ag) and/or increasing solute content of alloy,and vice versa.Ag and Zn dissolved in the γ' phase would produce almost opposed mechanical anisotropy for the γ ' phase under the identical crystal structure,and the addition of Ag shows more efficient on increasing the shear modulus of γ' phase.Junyuan Bai Xueyong Pang Xiangying Meng Hongbo Xie Hucheng Pan Yuping Ren Min Jiang Gaowu Qin 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,36,1:1

16Mixed symmetry states and isospin excitation in N = Z nucleus ^(52)Fe显示文摘The interacting boson model with isospin (IBM-3) was applied to study the band structure and electromagnetic transition properties of the low-lying states in the even-even N = Z nucleus 52Fe. The isospin excitation states with T = 0, 1 and 2 were identified, and compared with the available data. The study shows that the 2+3 state is the lowest mixed symmetry state in 52Fe. The excitation energy of the second 0+2 state with T = 0 in nucleus 52Fe was identified. 17Silicon nitride-based Kerr frequency combs and applications in metrology显示文摘Kerr frequency combs have been attracting significant interest due to their rich physics and broad applications in metrology,microwave photonics,and telecommunications.In this review,we first introduce the fundamental physics,master equations,simulation methods,and dynamic process of Kerr frequency combs.We then analyze the most promising material platform for realizing Kerr frequency combs—silicon nitride on insulator(SNOI)in comparison with other material platforms.Moreover,we discuss the fabrication methods,process optimization as well as tuning and measurement schemes of SNOI-based Kerr frequency combs.Furthermore,we highlight several emerging applications of Kerr frequency combs in metrology,including spectroscopy,ranging,and timing.Finally,we summarize this review and envision the future development of chip-scale Kerr frequency combs from the viewpoint of theory,material platforms,and tuning methods.Zhaoyang Sun Yang Li Benfeng Bai Zhendong Zhu Hongbo Sun 2022Advanced Photonics2022,4,6:1
