Hundred-Joule-level,nanosecond-pulse Nd:glass laser system with high spatiotemporal beam quality显示文摘A 100-J-level Nd:glass laser system in nanosecond-scale pulse width has been constructed to perform as a standard source of high-fluence-laser science experiments. The laser system, operating with typical pulse durations of 3–5 ns and beam diameter 60 mm, employs a sequence of successive rod amplifiers to achieve 100-J-level energy at 1053 nm at3 ns. The frequency conversion can provide energy of 50-J level at 351 nm. In addition to the high stability of the energy output, the most valuable of the laser system is the high spatiotemporal beam quality of the output, which contains the uniform square pulse waveform, the uniform flat-top spatial fluence distribution and the uniform flat-top wavefront. | Sensen Li Yulei Wang Zhiwei Lu Lei Ding Yi Chen Pengyuan Du Dexin Ba Zhenxing Zheng Xin Wang Hang Yuan Chengyu Zhu Weiming He Dianyang Lin Yongkang Dong Dengwang Zhou Zhenxu Bai Zhaohong Liu Can Cui | 2016 | High Power Laser Science and Engineering2016,4,1: | 3
A survey of HIV infection and related high-risk factors among men who have sex with men in Suzhou,Jiangsu,China显示文摘A cross-sectional study using the snowball sampling method was conducted in May 2008 to investigate human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection status and related high risk factors among men who have sex with men (MSM) in Suzhou city of Jiangsu province. The researchers carried out a face-to-face questionnaire interview among MSM, and collected their blood samples to test for HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Among the 280 respondents, 91.1% had homosexual acts in the past 6 months and 87.5% had multiple homosexual partners; 46.4% had heterosexual sex in the past 6 months and 33.1% had multiple heterosexual partners. The rate of continued condom use was 44.3% in homosexual sex in the past 6 months, while the rate in heterosexual sex was 33.9%. Laboratory test results showed that the prevalences of HIV and syphilis were 7.1% (20/280) and 15.0% (42/280), respectively, but no HCV-positive person was found. In the multivariate logistic regression model, subjects with a monthly income of more than RMB $ 1,000 (OR=4.83,95% CI=1.44-16.22), subjects who often went to bars for sexual partners (OR=2.25, 95%CI=1.21-4.20), and subjects who had more than one sexual partner in the past 6 months (OR=0.49, 95%CI=0.25-0.97) and had sex with fixed sexual partners in the past 6 months (OR=0.42, 95%CI=0.25-0.75) were significantly associated with the rate of continued condom use in homosexual sex in the past 6 months. Unprotected sex and multiple sexual partners were more common among MSM in Suzhou city; furthermore, the prevalences of HIV infection and syphilis were relatively high. HIV preventive measures should be designed to address these risk factors and control the spread of HIV among MSM. | Hongling Bai Xiping Huan Weiming Tang Xin Chen Hongjing Yan Xiaoyan Liu Haitao Yang Zhihang Peng Xiuping Zhao Rongbin Yu Hao Yu Feng Chen | 2011 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2011,25,1: | 2

Laboratory and pilot scale studies on fast pyrolysis of corn stover显示文摘In order to design a hot ceramic ball heated down-flow tuber reactor for the pyrolysis liquefaction of agricultural residues, the devolatilization characteristics of pulverized corn stover were studied in a Laminar Entrained Flow Furnace(LEFF)with the temperature range of 800-950 K.The flow characteristics of corn stover particles and ceramic balls in a vertical square tube were measured and analyzed by the techniques of particle image velocimetry(PIV).The devolatilization experiments were carried out in an isothermal manner and the maximum of volatile matter of pulverized corn stover particles was 72.68%with the residence time of 189 ms at 950 K.Parameters of the first order Arrhenius equation for describing the pulverized corn stover flash pyrolysis were determined. In the PIV experiments, the corn stover particle axial velocity were measured at different cross-sections of the tube for different conditions. For the tuber connected with a suction pump, the maximum velocity was about 0.79 m/s,determined by the flow rate of the suction pump. Finally,a hot ceramic ball heated down-flow tuber reactor was constructed for pilot demonstration. The capacity of the reactor was 110.5 kg/h of corn stover powder and the yield of bio-oil was 41.6%of the feed stock. | Yi Weiming Bai Xueyuan Li Zhihe Wang Lihong Wang Nana Yang Yanqiang | 2008 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2008,1,1: | 1

Provenance of Sediments Filling a Paleo-Channel that Formed on the Western Yellow Sea Continental Shelf During the Last Glacial Period显示文摘Several buried paleo-channels are located on the continental shelf of the western Yellow Sea. Research on the paleochannels is significant for both theoretical studies and practical applications. In this paper, we analyse and discuss the mineralogy of sediments in a core(SYS-0803) recovered from a buried paleo-channel on the continental shelf of the western Yellow Sea. The aim is to determine the provenance of sediments that fill the paleo-channel. The heavy mineral assemblage of sediments in the core consists of schistose minerals, common hornblende, epidote, and ilmenite. The light mineral assemblage consists of plagioclase, quartz, lithic fragments, and K-feldspar. Analysis of the compositional maturity of the sand fraction revealed a quartz/feldspar ratio of < 1. A relatively high percentage of smectite is recorded throughout the entire paleo-channel fill, with the greatest percentage in the middle to lower parts. The detrital mineral assemblage and clay mineral content indicate that the paleo-channel sediments were sourced mainly from the Huanghe River during the last glacial period. | KONG Xianghuai ZHANG Junqiang BAI Weiming LIU Jian | 2018 | Journal of Ocean University of China2018,17,6: | 1

Hydrogen production by steam reforming of acetic acid and bio-oil using Ni/γ-Al2O3 catalysts显示文摘Hydrogen production from steam reforming of bio-oil and acetic acid using Ni/γ-Al2O3 catalyst was studied in a laboratory-scale fixed bed reactor. This study selected different Ni loadings(16.8%and 30.5%)in Ni/γ-Al2O3 catalysts and reaction temperatures(500°C,600°C and 700°C)as variables to optimize the hydrogen yield and selectivity of gases formed.Experiments were carried out in an isothermal manner. The catalysts were prepared on wet impregnation of aγ-Al2O3 which supported with two different Ni loadings. The principal gases generated were H2,CO,CO2 and CH4.The results from steam reforming of acetic acid showed that the yield and selectivity of hydrogen using the catalyst with 30.5%Ni were significantly higher than that with 16.8%Ni.The results showed that the most favorable temperature for hydrogen production was 600°C,and the steam reforming of bio-oil using Ni/γ-Al2O3 catalyst with 30.5%Ni showed that the yields and selectivity of H2 and CO2 increased with the temperature increasing while CH4 and CO selectivity decreased. These results showed that the most favorable temperature for hydrogen production from bio-oil using 30.5%Ni/γ-Al2O3 was 600°C,at which hydrogen yield was at its maximum of 65%. | Li Yanmei Fu Peng Yi Weiming Bai Xueyuan | 2015 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,6: | 1

Gain-Scheduling H_∞ Autopilot Design for Tactical Missiles with Variable-Swept Wings显示文摘A new approach to gain-scheduling of H∞controllers is proposed for a cruise missile with variableswept wings( VSW) in bank-to-turn( BTT) mode. A nonlinear dynamic model is established and anticipant performance criterions are given at first. For the selected operating points, feedback robust controllers of threechannels are designed independently to restrain cross-channel couple disturbances and aerodynamic perturbations. Then, the sweepback and Ma number are selected to schedule controller gains iteratively to ensure all closed-loop poles locating inside the desired region. The proposed method here attempts to extend the performance of initial design obtained for a single arbitrary point to the whole linearized domain while maintaining the expected stability over the entire range of sweepback and full flight envelope. Some time-domain analysis procedures based on the proposed method are carried out and assessed, while the performance of tracking and robustness to aerodynamic perturbations in different situations are contrasted by some nonlinear simulations. Finally, the numerical simulations demonstrate that the proposed autopilot design method has better tracking performance and is robust, effective and feasible. | Hongyang Bai Ruisheng Sun Weiming Li Xiulai Wang | 2015 | Journal of Harbin Institute of Technology(New Series)2015,22,1: | 0
Pyrolysis of Rice Husk in a Fluidized Bed Reactor:Evaluate the Characteristics of Fractional Bio-Oil and Particulate Emission of Carbonaceous Aerosol(CA)显示文摘Bio-oil production via pyrolysis is one of promising technologies for renewable energy production from bio-wastes.However,the complicated biooil is still a challenge for high-valued application and during biomass pyrolysis, the emission of non-cleaned aerosol, the potential emission, namely carbonaceous aerosol(CA)increased the difficulty of the commercial promotion. In this study,Rice husk pyrolysis was performed in a semi-continuous fluidized bed reactor coupled with fractional condensers. The effects of pyrolysis and condensation temperature on the properties of bio-oil and emission of CAwere investigated systemically. Results indicated that the in-situ separation of vapors was accomplished via condensers of different temperatures(85℃and−10℃).The bio-oil with different physiochemical properties were obtained in the high content of phenols and lower acids of BO1 and high content of acids and better liquidity. The size distribution of CA was found primarily classified as sub-micrometer grade particles, which have a diameter of less than 1.1μm.In particular,CA existed in three representative forms:bead, granular aggregate, and liquidoid. The results of light absorption of total organic carbon(TOC)and non-volatile organic carbon(NVOC)indicated that the absorption per mass increased in the single temperature with the decrement of wavelength and it improved as the pyrolysis temperature increased at the specified wavelength. The absorption per mass was to maximum value(3.7 m^(2)/g)at 360 nm wavelength and 600℃.TOC demonstrated a strong light absorption and a wide spectral range dependence(AAE:5.08-10.05)which enhanced the light absorption in the ultra-violet and low-visible regions. | Ning Li Weiming Yi Zhihe Li Lihong Wang Yongjun Li Xueyuan Bai Mei Jiang | 2020 | Journal of Renewable Materials2020,8,3: | 0
Dependence of Plastic Stability on 3D Interface Layer in Nanolaminated Materials显示文摘The nanolaminated materials generally exhibit poor plasticity due to the fast onset of shear instability.Engineering interface structure is an eff ective approach for enhancing plasticity via postponing or suppressing the shear instability. Here,we introduce 4 nm thick CuNb 3D amorphous interface layers and Nb 3D crystalline interface layers in Cu nanolaminated materials, respectively. In situ micro-pillar compression tests show that samples with crystalline interface layers exhibit shear instability, while the samples with amorphous interface layers display uniform deformation.Since the plastic deformation of the singlecrystal crystalline interface layer is anisotropic, except for well-aligned slip systems, dislocations on other slip systems have a poor ability to transmit the 3D crystalline interface layer, leading to localized dislocations pileups and shear instability. In contrast, the amorphous interface layer which is plastically isotropic accommodates dislocations from arbitrary slip systems of the matrix, which can alleviate the stress concentrations at the interface, and thus suppresses the shear instability. | Shuimiao Jiang Lichen Bai Qi An Zhe Yan Weiming Li Kaisheng Ming Shijian Zheng | 2022 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2022,35,11: | 0
