2Nitrogen Deposition and Its Spatial Pattern in Main Forest Ecosystems along North-South Transect of Eastern China显示文摘A continuous three-year observation(from May 2008 to April 2011)was conducted to characterize the spatial variation of dissolved inorganic nitrogen(DIN)deposition at eight main forest ecosystems along the north-south transect of eastern China(NSTEC).The results show that both throughfall DIN deposition and bulk DIN deposition increase from north to south along the NSTEC.Throughfall DIN deposition varies greatly from 2.7 kg N/(ha·yr)to 33.0 kg N/(ha·yr),with an average of 10.6 kg N/(ha·yr),and bulk DIN deposition ranges from 4.1 kg N/(ha·yr)to 25.4 kg N/(ha·yr),with an average of 9.8 kg N/(ha·yr).NH4+-N is the dominant form of DIN deposition at most sampling sites.Additionally,the spatial variation of DIN deposition is controlled mainly by precipitation.Moreover,in the northern part of the NSTEC,bulk DIN deposition is 17%higher than throughfall DIN deposition,whereas the trend is opposite in the southern part of the NSTEC.The results demonstrate that DIN deposition would likely threaten the forest ecosystems along the NSTEC,compared with the critical loads(CL)of N deposition,and DIN deposition in this region is mostly controlled by agricultural activities rather than industrial activities or transportation.ZHAN Xiaoyun YU Guirui HE Nianpeng FANG Huajun JIA Bingrui ZHOU Mei WANG Chuankuan ZHANG Junhui ZHAO Guangdong WANG Silong LIU Yunfen YAN Junhua 2014Chinese Geographical Science2014,24,2:10

4On the Response of Subduction in the South Pacific to an Intensification of Westerlies and Heat Flux in an Eddy Permitting Ocean Model显示文摘Based on an eddy permitting ocean general circulation model, the response of water masses to two distinct climate scenarios in the South Pacific is assessed in this paper. Under annually repeating atmospheric forcing that is characterized by different westerlies and associated heat flux, the response of Subantarctic Mode Water(SAMW) and Antarctic Intermediate Water(AAIW) is quantitatively estimated. Both SAMW and AAIW are found to be warmer, saltier and denser under intensified westerlies and increased heat loss. The increase in the subduction volume of SAMW and AAIW is about 19.8 Sv(1 Sv =10~6m^3s^(-1)). The lateral induction term plays a dominant role in the changes in the subduction volume due to the deepening of the mixed layer depth(MLD). Furthermore, analysis of the buoyancy budget is used to quantitatively diagnose the reason for the changes in the MLD. 5Single-cell transcriptomic landscape of human blood cells显示文摘High throughput single-cell RNA-seq has been successfully implemented to dissect the cellular and molecular features underlying hematopoiesis.However,an elaborate and comprehensive transcriptome reference of the whole blood system is lacking.Here,we profiled the transcriptomes of 7551 human blood cells representing 32 immunophenotypic cell types,including hematopoietic stem cells,progenitors and mature blood cells derived from 21 healthy donors.With high sequencing depth and coverage,we constructed a single-cell transcriptional atlas of blood cells(ABC) on the basis of both protein-coding genes and long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs),and showed a high consistence between them.Notably,putative lncRNAs and transcription factors regulating hematopoietic cell differentiation were identified.While common transcription factor regulatory networks were activated in neutrophils and monocytes,lymphoid cells dramatically changed their regulatory networks during differentiation.Furthermore,we showed a subset of nucleated erythrocytes actively expressing immune signals,suggesting the existence of erythroid precursors with immune functions.Finally,a web portal offering transcriptome browsing and blood cell type prediction has been established.Thus,our work provides a transcriptional map of human blood cells at single-cell resolution,thereby offering a comprehensive reference for the exploration of physiological and pathological hematopoiesis.Xiaowei Xie Mengyao Liu Yawen Zhang Bingrui Wang Caiying Zhu Chenchen Wang Qing Li Yingying Huo Jiaojiao Guo Changlu Xu Linping Hu Aiming Pang Shihui Ma Una Wang Wenbin Cao Shulian Chen Qiuling Li Sudong Zhang Xueying Zhao Wen Zhou Hongbo Luo Guoguang Zheng Erlie Jiang Sizhou Feng Lixiang Chen Lihong Shi Hui Cheng Sha Hao Ping Zhu Tao Cheng 2021National Science Review2021,8,3:3
6Catalytic degradation of lomefloxacin by photo-assisted persulfate activation on natural hematite:Performance and mechanism显示文摘The natural hematite(α-Fe_(2)O_(3)) is stable and abundant on the earth,as well as with strange electronic band structure and good visible light absorption properties.However,the composition and catalytic performance of natural hematite should be explored.In this study,the photo-assisted hematite nanoparticles activated persulfate(H-NPs/PS/vis)system was constructed.As detected,H-NPs had an irregular agglomerate structure with abundant internal pore and were mainly composed of Fe_(2)O_(3),SiO_(2) and TiO_(2).The system was applied to removing various antibiotic(i.e.,lomefloxacin,ciprofloxacin and enrofloxacin with initial concentration of 10 mg/L),achieving high degradation performance of 82.0%,81.2%and 82.2%after120,330 and 240 min,respectively.Moreover,H-NPs had excellent reusability with low metal leaching(Ti leaching percentage lower than 0.01%,Fe dissolution percentage was 0.48%)and stable structure.At last,a possible reaction mechanism of H-NPs/PS/vis system was proposed that lomefloxacin(LOM)was efficiently removed via the synergistic process of components contained in H-NPs with PS and light,involving the generation of·O_(2)^(-),·OH and SO_(4)^(·-).Above all,this paper provided a novel application scheme of natural hematite through in-depth and comprehensive experimental exploration.Ruonan Guo Ying Chen Bingrui Liu Ying Han Jianfeng Gou Xiuwen Cheng 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,8:1

8CoFe_(2)O_(4)nanoparticles anchored on waste eggshell for catalytic oxidation of florfenicol via activating peroxymonosulfate显示文摘Eggshell-loaded CoFe_(2)O_(4) catalyst was synthesized via a convenient hydrothermal method during our work,then the surface morphology and elemental composition of the composites were systematically investigated.Performance of CoFe_(2)O_(4)/eggshell-activated peroxymonosulfate(PMS)system was evaluated by selecting florfenicol(FF)as the model pollutant,and effects of operating parameters and water matrices on the FF removal efficiency in this system were investigated.In addition,main radicals involved in FF degradation were identified by EPR tests and radical quenching experiments,and possible mechanism was proposed.The reduction of toxicity during FF degradation was confirmed,and in combination with HP-LC tests,it was found that dehalogenation and defluorination were effectively carried out during FF degradation.In addition,the prepared CoFe_(2)O_(4)polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)membrane effectively improved the stability of the material and reduced the precipitation of metals.Yingjie Gao Ying Han Bingrui Liu Jianfeng Gou Dan Feng Xiuwen Cheng 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,8:1
9Observation of Arctic surface currents using data from a surface drifting buoy显示文摘During the 10th Chinese Arctic scientific expedition carried out in the summer of 2019,the surface current in the high-latitude areas of the Arctic Ocean was observed using a self-developed surface drifting buoy,which was initially deployed in the Chukchi Sea.The buoy traversed the Chukchi Sea,Chukchi Abyssal Plain,Mendeleev Ridge,Makarov Basin,and Canada Basin over a period of 632 d.After returning to the Mendeleev Ridge,it continued to drift toward the pole.Overall,the track of the buoy reflected the characteristics of the transpolar drift and Chukchi Slope Current,as well as the inertial flow,cross-ridge surface flow,and even the surface disorganized flow for some time intervals.The results showed that:(1)the transpolar drift mainly occurs in the Chukchi Abyssal Plain,Mendeleev Ridge,and western Canada Basin to the east of the ridge where sea ice concentration is high,and the average northward flow velocity in the region between 79.41°N and 86.32°N was 5.1 cm/s;(2)the average surface velocity of the Chukchi Slope Current was 13.5 cm/s,and while this current moves westward along the continental slope,it also extends northwestward across the continental slope and flows to the deep sea;and(3)when sea ice concentration was less than 50%,the inertial flow was more significant(the maximum observed inertial flow was 26 cm/s,and the radius of the inertia circle was 3.6 km).Hongxia Chen Lina Lin Long Fan Wangxiao Yang Yinke Dou Bingrui Li Yan He Bin Kong Guangyu Zuo Na Liu 2024Acta Oceanologica Sinica2024,43,1:0
10Loganin regulates glycolipid metabolism by influencing intestinal microbiota and AMPK signaling in obese mice显示文摘Objective: We aimed to observe the effects of loganin(Log) on serum glycolipid levels and probe the mechanisms focusing on intestinal flora and AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK) signaling in obese mice.Methods: A high-fat diet was given for 12 consecutive weeks to generate the obesity model in institute of cancer research(ICR) mice. Body weight was measured weekly and fasting blood glucose(FBG) was determined every 2 weeks. Both the oral glucose tolerance test and the intraperitoneal insulin tolerance test were performed. The serum levels of total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride, high-density lipoproteincholesterol, low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C), and free fatty acids(FFA) were measured. The expression of key proteins in the AMPK signaling pathway in skeletal muscle tissue was detected by immunoblotting, and gut microbiota were characterized using 16S rDNA sequencing.Results: Log significantly decreased the body weight and the FBG in obese mice(P <.05), and it could restore FBG to normal levels. The total cholesterol, LDL-C, and FFA levels were significantly reduced by Log compared with the obese controls(TC: P =.0020;LDL-C: P =.0233;FFA: P =.0127), and the glucose tolerance of animals was significantly improved(P =.0477). The western blot results showed that Log could upregulate the protein expression of Adenosine 5‘-monophosphate(AMP)-activated protein kinase(AMPKa), Sirtuin 1(SIRT1), and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma coactivator-1 alpha(PGC1a) in skeletal muscle tissue of obese mice. 16S rDNA sequencing indicated that Log reduced the diversity of the gut flora in feces and altered the floral composition of obese mice.Conclusions: Log was effective in reducing body weight and improving glucolipid metabolism in obese mice, probably through activating AMPK signaling and regulating intestinal microbial diversity.Bingrui Xu Zimengwei Ye Tian Tian Ruyuan Zhu Chenyue Liu Xin Fang Dongwei Zhang Min Fu Sihua Gao Dandan Zhao 2022Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2022,9,3:0
