1An integrated method to calculate the spatial distribution of overburden strata failure in longwall mines by coupling GIS and FLAC^(3D)显示文摘The spatial distribution of overburden strata failure is of significant importance to affect the safety of underground mining. Because the traditional methods cannot be applied in all coal mines due to geological conditions or mining structures, a method of coupling FLAC3D with GIS was presented to calculate the spatial distribution of overburden strata failure in longwall coal mines. After building the spatio-temporal database from the calculation results of FLAC3D, the height of the mining-induced fractured zone in the overburden strata can be calculated by using the given height function. The results of case study show that the height of the fractured zone reached the maximum value at the face advance equal to about the panel width. 2Impacts of mixed litter decomposition from Robinia pseudoacacia and other tree species on C loss and nutrient release in the Loess Plateau of China显示文摘The productivity of Robinia pseudoacacia(R.p.) pure forest usually declines at the late growth stage,and reforming it into mixed forests could be a promising way to resolve this problem. When choosing a suitable tree species that can be mixed with R.p., the interspecific relationship is an important issue. Therefore, we gathered the autumn litter fall from R.p. and 10 other species from the Loess Plateau of China were mixed in dual species litterbags(R.p.+each other species) and buried them in soil for a 345 days lab decay incubation. We measured the litter mass loss and nutrient contents to determine whether the nutrient release was affected by mixed species litter decomposition. The impacts of mixed litter decomposition on macro-elements release were more obvious than on micro-elements. The litters with similar substrate quality might show variable impacts on nutrients release in mixed decomposition. The C loss and release of nutrient was improved by descending order when R.p. litter was mixed with Hippophae rhamnoides, Ulmus pumila, Populus simonii, Larix principis-rupprechtii and Quercus liaotungensis(Q.l.). 3Three Dimensional Laser Point Cloud Slicing Method for Calculating Irregular Volume显示文摘Volume parameter is the basic content of a spatial body object morphology analysis.However,the challenge lies in the volume calculation of irregular objects.The point cloud slicing method proposed in this study effectively works in calculating the volume of the point cloud of the spatial object obtained through three-dimensional laser scanning(3DLS).In this method,a uniformly spaced sequent slicing process is first conducted in a specific direction on the point cloud of the spatial object obtained through 3DLS.A series of discrete point cloud slices corresponding to the point cloud bodies are then obtained.Subsequently,the outline boundary polygon of the point cloud slicing is searched one by one in accordance with the slicing sequence and areas of the polygon.The point cloud slice is also calculated.Finally,the individual point cloud section volume is calculated through the slicing areas and the adjacent slicing gap.Thus,the total volume of the scanned spatial object can be calculated by summing up the individual volumes.According to the results and analysis of the calculated examples,the slice-based volume-calculating method for the point cloud of irregular objects obtained through 3DLS is correct,concise in process,reliable in results,efficient in calculation methods,and controllable on accuracy.This method comes as a good solution to the volume calculation of irregular objects.Bin LI Xiaofa ZHAO Yong CHEN Junbo WEI Lu WANG Bochao MA 2019Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2019,2,4:5
4Physical-biogeochemical interactions and potential effects on phytoplankton and Ulva prolifera in the coastal waters off Qingdao(Yellow Sea, China)显示文摘In recent years, the spectacular massive green tide of Ulva prolifera has become a recurrent phenomenon appearing every summer in the coastal waters off Qingdao(Yellow Sea, China), attracting the attention of scientists and local government. Based on multidisciplinary data collected during summer and winter, this study focuses on the hydrological characteristics and regional biogeochemical processes in coastal waters off Qingdao.The results show that the boundary of the Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass(YSCWM) can reach the Qingdao coastal region in summer and is locally raised to the upper layers to form coastal upwelling beyond tidal mixing and favorable wind. The regional summer upwelling off the Qingdao coast effectively enriches the nutrient concentrations in the upper water column and thus promotes growth of phytoplankton but reduces the dissolved oxygen(DO) concentration and pH value in the bottom. The regional summer upwelling off Qingdao coast may facilitate the growth and regional blooming of the U. prolifera that migrate to this region with the southerly wind.Additionally, the effects of the front on the aggregation of U. prolifera may be significant. In winter, the Yellow Sea Warm Current(YSWC) extends and spreads along the offshore region off the Subei Shoal towards the Qingdao coastal sea. This tongue-shaped warm water meets the cold coastal water off Qingdao, which leads to the formation of a physical front. As a consequence, remarkable fronts of nutrient and chlorophyll a(Chl a) also form between the shoreward warm water and the cold coastal water. 5Effect of petroleum on decomposition of shrub–grass litters in soil in Northern Shaanxi of China显示文摘The impacts of petroleum contamination on the litter decomposition of shrub–grass land would directly influence nutrient cycling, and the stability and function of ecosystem. Ten common shrub and grass species from Yujiaping oil deposits were studied. Litters from these species were placed into litterbags and buried in petroleum-contaminated soil with 3levels of contamination(slight, moderate and serious pollution with petroleum concentrations of 15, 30 and 45 g/kg, respectively). A decomposition experiment was then conducted in the lab to investigate the impacts of petroleum contamination on litter decomposition rates. Slight pollution did not inhibit the decomposition of any litters and significantly promoted the litter decomposition of Hippophae rhamnoides, Caragana korshinskii, Amorpha fruticosa, Ziziphus jujuba var. spinosa, Periploca sepium, Medicago sativa and Bothriochloa ischaemum. Moderate pollution significantly inhibited litter decomposition of M. sativa,Coronilla varia, Artemisia vestita and Trrifolium repens and significantly promoted the litter decomposition of C. korshinskii, Z. jujuba var. spinosa and P. sepium. Serious pollution significantly inhibited the litter decomposition of H. rhamnoides, A. fruticosa, B. ischaemum and A. vestita and significantly promoted the litter decomposition of Z. jujuba var. spinosa, P.sepium and M. sativa. In addition, the impacts of petroleum contamination did not exhibit a uniform increase or decrease as petroleum concentration increased. 6Extraction Technology of Total Flavonoids from Pueraria lobata (Willd.) Ohwi and Content Determination of Pueraria lobata (Willd.) Ohwi at Different Altitudes显示文摘[Objectives]To optimize the extraction technology of total flavonoids from Pueraria lobata( Willd.) Ohwi. [Methods]The ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry was used to determine the content of total flavonoids in Pueraria lobata( Willd.) Ohwi. With the puerarin as index,the reflux extraction and single factor test were employed to investigate the effects of temperature,time,ethanol concentration and solid-liquid ratio on the content of total flavonoids in Pueraria lobata( Willd.) Ohwi,respectively. Under the optimal extraction technology,the content of total flavonoids in Pueraria lobata( Willd.) Ohwi at different altitudes was determined.[Results] The optimum extraction process was as follows: 70%ethanol; solid-liquid ratio of 1∶ 30; 1 h reflux extraction. Under these conditions,the extraction rate of flavonoids in Pueraria lobata( Willd.) Ohwi was 11. 48%,the total flavonoids content of different kudzu parts was in the order of roots > stems > leaves,and the total flavonoids content of the sample at about an altitude of 1000 m was significantly higher than at the altitudes of 1400 m and 1700 m.[Conclusions]It was suggested that the Pueraria lobata( Willd.) Ohwi should not be cultivated as medicinal plant in too high mountains,and the stems and leaves of Pueraria lobata( Willd.) 7Well-defined coordination environment breaks the bottleneck of organic synthesis:Single-atom palladium catalyzed hydrosilylation of internal alkynes显示文摘Single-atom site(SAS)catalysts have attracted considerable attention due to their excellent performance.However,most of the current research models of SAS catalysts are based on inorganic catalysts,where“metal and coordination atom interaction”cannot simulate the fine-tuning effect of organic ligands on metal catalytic centers in homogeneous catalysts.Therefore,certain chemical transformations in homogeneous catalysis cannot be perfectly replicated.Here,we used porous organic ligand polymers as the carrier,which effectively changes the charge regulation of nanoparticles and monoatomic metal catalysts.Drawing lessons from traditional homogeneous metal/ligand catalysis,we introduced various functional groups into the ligand polymers to adjust the electronic properties,and successfully realized the hydrosilylation of internal alkynes with high catalytic performance.The selectivity and catalytic efficiency under the Pd@POL-1 catalyst system were improved compared with previous studies.The internal alkynes with various structures can complete this reaction,and the ratio of E/Zcan reach up to 100:1.Shicheng Ren Bochao Ye Siying Li Liping Pang Yingming Pan Haitao Tang 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:2
8Photonic engineering of superbroadband near-infrared emission in nanoglass composites containing hybrid metal and dielectric nanocrystals显示文摘Photonic media containing hybrid noble metal-dielectric nanocrystals(NCs)represent a wonderland of nanophotonics,with a myriad of uncharted optical functions yet to be explored.Capitalizing on the unique phase separation and spontaneous formation of Au-metal NCs in a gallosilicate glass,we fabricated Ni^2+-doped transparent nanoglass composites(GCs)containing Au-metal/γ-Ga2O3-dielectric NCs.Compared with GCs free of Au-metal NCs,the super broadband near-infrared emission of Ni^2+with a full width at half-maximum over280 nm is enhanced twice in the Au-metal/γ-Ga2O3 dual-phase GCs.A comparison is given as to the spontaneous emission(SPE)properties of Ni^2+in the dual-phase GCs when pumped resonantly and off-resonantly with the localized surface plasmon resonance band of the Au-metal NCs.The important role of the Au-metal NCs in the SPE enhancement is revealed by theoretical simulation based on the finite-element method.Combining the photonic engineering effect of hybrid Au-metal/γ-Ga2O3 NCs and the sensitization effect of Yb^3+on Ni^2+,a record-high enhancement factor of over 10 of the Ni^2+NIR emission is achieved,and optical gain is demonstrated in the GCs at the fiber communication wavelength.ZHIGANG GAO HAIBO ZHU BOCHAO SUN YINGKE JI XIAOSONG LU HAO TIAN JING REN SHU GUO JIANZHONG ZHANG JUN YANG XIANGENG MENG KATSUHISA TANAKA 2020Photonics Research2020,8,5:2
9Motor neuron replacement therapy for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis显示文摘Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a motor neuron degenerative disease that is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease in the United States,Charcot’s disease in France,and motor neuron disease in the UK.The loss of motor neurons causes muscle wasting,paralysis,and eventually death,which is commonly related to respiratory failure,within 3-5 years after onset of the disease.Although there are a limited number of drugs approved for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,they have had little success at treating the associated symptoms,and they cannot reverse the course of motor neuron degeneration.Thus,there is still a lack of effective treatment for this debilitating neurodegenerative disorder.Stem cell therapy for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a very attractive strategy for both basic and clinical researchers,particularly as transplanted stem cells and stem cell-derived neural progenitor/precursor cells can protect endogenous motor neurons and directly replace the lost or dying motor neurons.Stem cell therapies may also be able to re-establish the motor control of voluntary muscles.Here,we review the recent progress in the use of neural stem cells and neural progenitor cells for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.We focus on MN progenitor cells derived from fetal central nervous system tissue,embryonic stem cells,and induced pluripotent stem cells.In our recent studies,we found that transplanted human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived motor neuron progenitors survive well,differentiate into motor neurons,and extend axons into the host white matter,not only in the rostrocaudal direction,but also along motor axon tracts towards the ventral roots in the immunodeficient rat spinal cord.Furthermore,the significant motor axonal extension after neural progenitor cell transplantation in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis models demonstrates that motor neuron replacement therapy could be a promising therapeutic strategy for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,particularly as a variety of stem cell derivatives,including induced pluripotent stem cells,are being considered for clinical trials for various diseases.Bochao Liu Mo Li Lingyan Zhang Zhiguo Chen Paul Lu 2022Neural Regeneration Research2022,17,8:2
10Optimization of Ultrasonic-enzymatic Extraction of Total Flavonoids from Cardamine tangutorum O.E.Schulz by Response Surface Methodology and Content Determination显示文摘[Objectives]This study aimed to optimize the extraction process of total flavonoids in Cardamine tangutorum O.E.Schulz.[Methods]On the basis of single-factor experiments,the ultrasonic-enzymatic extraction process of total flavonoids in C.tangutorum O.E.Schulz was optimized by Box-Behnken design from aspects of ethanol volume fraction,extraction time,extraction temperature and enzyme addition,with yield of total flavonoids as the evaluation index.[Results]The optimal extraction process of total flavonoids in C.tangutorum O.E.Schulz was as follows:ethanol volume fraction of 70%,ultrasonic extraction time of 43 min,ultrasonic extraction temperature of 37℃and cellulose addition of 0.07 mg.Under the optimal conditions,the yield of total flavonoids from C.tangutorum O.E.Schulz reached 75.90 mg/g.[Conclusions]The optimized extraction process was reasonable and feasible,and it could provide a reference for the extraction of total flavonoids in C.tangutorum O.E.Schulz.This study provided a foundation for the quality control of food/medicinal materials and the development and research of big health products of C.tangutorum O.E.Schulz.Xiaoxia CAI Bochao LI Xuexue LI Hongna SU Wenbing LI Yuan LIU 2020Medicinal Plant2020,11,6:2

14Efficacy of Bushen Culuan decoction(补肾促卵方)on ovarian follicle and follicular granulosa cells in mice with premature ovarian insufficiency induced by tripterygium wilfordii polyglycoside显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the protective efficacy of Bushen Culuan decoction补肾促卵方,BCD)on ovarian follicle and follicular granulosa cells in mice with premature ovarian insufficiency(POI)induced by tripterygium wilfordii polyglycoside,and to study the potential mechanism underlying the action.METHODS:Eighty female Balb/c mice were randomly divided into 4 groups(n=20 each):blank group,model group,Bushen Culuan decoction intervening group(BCD group)and estradiol valerate intervening group(EV group).In the first 14 model establishing d,mice in model group,BCD group and EV group were under Tripterygium wilfordii polyglycoside(TWP)gavage to establish POI models.In the 14-day therapeutic stage,mice in BCD group were taken BCD 18.35 mg·kg^(-1)·d^(-1),mice in EV group were taken EV solution 0.15 mg·kg^(-1)·d^(-1),while mice in blank group and model group were taken normal saline.When the mice accomplished therapy,whole blood was collected for serum hormone including follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),luteal hormone(LH),estradiol(E2),antimullerian hormone(AMH)levels and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),bone morphogenetic protein-7(BMP-7)measurement.Ovarian tissues were harvested for morphologic observation,follicle counting,ovarian follicular graulosa cell apoptosis test and testing BMP-7 and caspase-3 expressions.RESULTS:The body weights of the mice kept growing stably in the process expect in TWP intervening stage.Compared with model group,BCD group had significantly higher ovarian index,serum E_(2),AMH,VEGF,BMP-7 levels and significantly lower FSH level(P<0.05).Meanwhile the VEGF level in BCD group was higher than in EV group(P<0.05).Compared with model group,the histopathological damage and GCs apoptosis were mitigated;developing follicle counting,BMP-7 expression were up-regulated,and caspase-3 expression was downregulated in BCD groups(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:BCD treatment could attenuate pathological process in POI ovaries,suppress GC apoptosis,probably through promoting BMP-7 expression and following inhibiting caspase-3 activation.MA Kun YUAN Yuan CHEN Yanxia YUAN Bochao WANG Kaili TIAN Caidie LI Jiani 2022Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2022,42,1:1
