4An imine-linked covalent organic framework as the host material for sulfur loading in lithium–sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium–sulfur(Li–S) batteries have high theoretical specific capacity, providing new opportunities for the next generation of secondary battery. Covalent organic framework(COF) as a new porous crystalline material has been used as the host material in Li–S battery to improve the cell's cycling stability. In this paper, an imine-linked TAPB-PDA-COF was applied as the host material for sulfur loading(60%) in Li–S battery. The TAPB-PDA-COF has a beehive-like morphology with high thermal stability(up to 500 ℃).In the electrochemical experiment, the performance of the composite cathode with acetylene black(AB) and super-P(S-P) as the conductive additives was studied individually. The initial discharge capacity under 0.2 A/g current density was 991 mAh/g and 1357 mAh/g for TAPB-PDA-COF/S@A-B and TAPB-PDACOF/S@S-P, respectively. The better result of S-P based cathode than A-B could be due to the better conductivity of the S-P, as proved by the EIS results. When further increased the current density to 2 A/g,the S-P based composite cathode can still deliver a comparable initial discharge capacity of 630 and 274 mAh/g capacity remained after 940 cycles. 5Dendrite‐free lithium and sodium metal anodes with deep plating/stripping properties for lithium and sodium batteries显示文摘Although lithium(Li)and sodium(Na)metals can be selected as the promising anode materials for next‐generation rechargeable batteries of high energy density,their practical applications are greatly restricted by the uncontrollable dendrite growth.Herein,a platinum(Pt)–copper(Cu)alloycoated Cu foam(Pt–Cu foam)is prepared and then used as the substrate for Li and Na metal anodes.Owing to the ultrarough morphology with a threedimensional porous structure and the quite large surface area as well as lithiophilicity and sodiophilicity,both Li and Na dendrite growths are significantly suppressed on the substrate.Moreover,during Li plating,the lithiated Pt atoms can dissolve into Li phase,leaving a lot of microsized holes on the substrate.During Na plating,although the sodiated Pt atoms cannot dissolve into Na phase,the sodiation of Pt atoms elevates many microsized blocks above the current collector.Either the holes or the voids on the surface of Pt–Cu foam what can be extra place for deposited alkali metal,what effectively relaxes the internal stress caused by the volume exchange during Li and Na plating/stripping.Therefore,the symmetric batteries of Li@Pt–Cu foam and Na@Pt–Cu foam have both achieved long‐term cycling stability even at ultrahigh areal capacity at 20 mAh cm−2.Jianyi Wang Qi Kang Jingchao Yuan Qianru Fu Chunhua Chen Zibo Zhai Yang Liu Wei Yan Aijun Li Jiujun Zhang 2021Carbon Energy2021,3,1:6
6Sensitivity of green and blue-green algae to methyl tert-butyl ether显示文摘The toxicity of methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) to Chlorella ellipsoidea and Aphanizomenon flos-aquae was tested and assessed for a 15-d incubation with concentrations of MTBE from high (2.00×104 mg/L) to low (2 mg/L). The results showed that the toxicity was low when the concentration of MTBE was in the range 1.00×104-2.00×104 mg/L (the greatest inhibition of growth-rate was 70%-71%, occurred during the day 1-5). Low concentrations (2-500 mg/L) stimulated algal growth up to the greatest effect of 85%-200% when the concentration of MTBE was 50-100 mg/L during day 3-5. The toxicity of MTBE (72-120 h EC50) was 6.65×103-9.58×103 mg/L for C. ellipsoidea and that is 1.14×104-2.00×104 mg/L for A. floc-aquae. 7Effect of loading on the Ni_2P/Al_2O_3 catalysts for the hydrotreating reactions显示文摘The 80%Ni2P/Al2O3 catalysts were prepared by the phosphidation of corresponding 80%Ni/Al2O3 with triphenylphosphine in liquid phase and compared with the 60%Ni2P/Al2O3 for hydrotreating reactions. Both the60%Ni2P/Al2O3 and 80%Ni2P/Al2O3 in comparison exhibited the small and uniform Ni2 P particles(6.3 and8.4 nm,respectively),high CO uptakes(305 and 345 μmol/g,respectively) and thus high activities for the hydrotreating reactions. After the hydrotreating reactions,the small and uniform Ni2 P particles were remained,although the CO uptakes on the used 60%Ni2P/Al2O3 and 80%Ni2P/Al2O3 were greatly decreased(to 68 and95 μmol/g,respectively) due to the incorporation of S into the Ni2 P surfaces. The 80%Ni2P/Al2O3 was found to be significantly more active than the 60%Ni2P/Al2O3 due to that the 80%Ni2P/Al2O3 possessed more,and more active Ni2 P sites than the 60%Ni2P/Al2O3,probably due to the less S incorporated in the 80%Ni2P/Al2O3 than in the 60%Ni2P/Al2O3 during the hydrotreating reactions.Junen Wang Shaozhong Li Jun Xu Hui Chen Jiangyu Yuan Jianyi Shen 2015Journal of Energy Chemistry2015,24,4:4
8Identifying human body states by using a flexible integrated sensor显示文摘Flexible sensors are required to be lightweight,compatible with the skin,sufficiently sensitive,and easily integrated to extract various kinds of body vital signs during continuous healthcare monitoring in daily life.For this,a simple and low-cost flexible temperature and force sensor that uses only two carbon fiber beams as the sensing layer is reported in this work.This simple,flexible sensor can not only monitor skin temperature changes in real time but can also extract most pulse waves,including venous waves,from most parts of the human body.A pulse diagnostic glove containing three such flexible sensors was designed to simulate pulse diagnostic methods used in traditional Chinese medicine.Wearable equipment was also designed in which four flexible sensors were fixed onto different body parts(neck,chest,armpit,and fingertip)to simultaneously monitor body temperature,carotid pulse,fingertip artery pulse,and respiratory rate.Four important physiological indicators—body temperature(BT),blood pressure(BP),heart rate(HR),and respiratory rate(RR)—were extracted by the wearable equipment and analyzed to identify exercise,excited,tired,angry,and frightened body states.Ying Jin Guoning Chen Kete Lao Songhui Li Yong Lu Yufeng Gan Zhundong Li Jiajia Hu Jingcheng Huang Jinxiu Wen Honggui Deng Min Yang Zhiming Chen Xiaoyan Hu Baowen Liang Jianyi Luo 2020npj Flexible Electronics2020,4,1:2
9Preparation of Fe_2P/Al_2O_3 and FeP/Al_2O_3 catalysts for the hydrotreating reactions显示文摘A 60%Fe/Al_2O_3 catalyst was prepared by the co-precipitation method.It was reduced by H_2 to produce metallic Fe,which was then sulfided by CS_2 to Fe_(0.96) S and Fe_3S_4 or phosphided by triphenylphosphine(PPh3) in liquid phases to Fe2 P and Fe P.It was found that the iron sulfides(Fe0.96 S and Fe_3S_4) exhibited the low activity for the hydrodesulfurization(HDS) reactions.The HDS activity was also low on the Fe(metal)/Al_2O_3 and Fe_2 P/Al_2O_3 catalysts since they were converted into Fe0.96 S and Fe_3S_4 during the HDS reactions.In contrast,the FeP/Al_2O_3 was found to be stable and active for the HDS reactions.In particular,Fe P/Al_2O_3 possessed significantly smaller Fe P particles than Fe P/C,leading to the significant higher HDS activity of FeP/Al_2O_3 than Fe P/C.Yamei Yuan Jiayou Zhang Hui Chen Qiumei Hou Jianyi Shen 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,2:2
10Review of surface transient charge measurement on solid insulating materials via the Pockels technique显示文摘Surface charges accumulated on solid insulating materials in electrical apparatuses and electronic devices could distort the initial electric field and severely damage the insulation performance.Accurate transient surface charge measurement is critical to determine the mechanisms of charge transport and flashover occurrence,and estimate surface insulation strength under high voltage.The measurement technique based on the Pockels electro-optic effect is considered as the only approach for 2-D dynamic charge distribution behaviour so far,and it has good capability to avoid original electric field distortion caused by conven-tional methods featured by metal probes.This paper reviews recent progress of the non-invasive dynamic surface charge measurement systems on the Pockels technique.We focus especially on typical systems with transmitting and reflecting configurations and the frequently used fast inversion algorithms.It can be inferred that higher spatial-temporal resolution,higher signal-to-noise ratio,and better compatibility for both transparent and opaque materials are the future development trends,which greatly depend on multiple technological breakthroughs at impact-resistant electro-optic crystals,advanced high-speed photography and high-performance inversion algorithms.In addition,the recent studies on transient behaviour of surface discharge,together with the present limitation and future prospects are discussed.It is expected that more ideas will be inspired in transient surface charge measurement by the Pockels technique and other relevant electro-optic methods.Bo Zhang Jianyi Xue Xingyu Chen Sile Chen Haibao Mu Yang Xu Guanjun Zhang 2021High Voltage2021,6,4:2

13Thermally enhanced responsivity in an all-silicon optical power monitor based on defect-mediated absorption显示文摘We demonstrate a high responsivity all-silicon in-line optical power monitor by using the thermal effect to enhance the quantum efficiency of defect-mediated absorption at 1550 nm.The doping compensation technique is utilized to increase the density of lattice defects responsible for the sub-bandgap absorption and suppress the detrimental free carrier absorption.The 200-μm-long device presents a propagation loss as low as 2.9 d B/cm.Its responsivity is enhanced from 12.1 m A/W to 112 m A/W at-9 V bias by heating the optical absorption region.With this device,we build an optical power monitoring system that operates in the sampling mode.The minimal detectable optical power of the system is below-22.8 d Bm,while the average power consumption is less than1 m W at a sampling frequency of 10 Hz.Advantages of this scheme in terms of high responsivity,low insertion loss,and low power consumption lend itself to implement the feedback control of advanced large-scale silicon photonic integrated circuits.QIKAI HUANG HUI YU QIANG ZHANG YAN LI WEIWEI CHEN YUEHAI WANG JIANYI YANG 2021Photonics Research2021,9,11:1

15Molecular catalysis for the steam reforming of ethanol显示文摘In this paper,the application of molecular catalysis for steam reforming of ethanol(SRE)is reviewed.Eight metals(Ni,Co,Cu,Pt,Rh,Pd,Ir and Ru)have shown high catalytic activity for SRE.Among them Ni and Rh are very promising because of high d character in the metal bond and low metal-oxygen bonding(vs.metal-carbon).They can effectively promote C–C bond cleavage in the rate-determining process during SRE.However,Rh is weak in water-gas-shift so that CH4 and CO become the main by-products at low reaction temperatures,while Ni catalysts suffer from rapid deactivation due to coking and sintering.Two low-temperature CO-free catalysts have been developed in our lab,namely Rh-Fe/Ca-Al2O3 and carbonyl-derived Rh-Co/Ce O2,in which the presence of iron oxide or Co can promote water-gas-shift reaction and significantly improve the SRE performance.On the other hand,adding 3 wt%Ca O to Ni/Al2O3 can greatly improve the catalyst stability because the Ca modification not only increases Ni concentration on the Ni/Ca-Al2O3 surface and 3d valence electron density,but also facilitates the water adsorption and coke gasification via water-gas-shift.The availability of abundant surface OH groups helps the formation and conversion of adsorbed formate intermediate.Hence,ethanol reaction on Ca-Al2O3-supported Ni,Pt,Pd and Rh catalysts are found to follow the formate-intermediated pathway,a new reaction pathway alternative to the traditional acetate-intermediated pathway.Jianyi Lin Luwei Chen Catherine Kai Shin Choong Ziyi Zhong Lin Huang 2015Science China Chemistry2015,58,1:1

20Polybenzimidazole functionalized electrolyte with Li-wetting and self-fluorination functionalities for practical Li metal batteries显示文摘Rough Li plating,low ionic conductivity,and low thermal stability of conventional electrolytes post-primary challenges for achieving reliable high-capacity rechargeable lithium batteries,for which lithiummetal is frequently proposed as themost promising anode material.Conventional low-polarity commercial polypropylene/polyethylene separators fail to support the application of high-energy-density Li anodes due to their rigid physicochemical properties and the high reactivity of Li metal,leading to fatal dendrite formation and vigorous exothermic reaction with electrolytes.Herein,we develop a Li-wetting,flame-retardant binary polymer electrolyte by functionalizing poly(vinylidene fluoride)(PVDF)separators with nonflammable polybenzimidazole(PBI)to build safe room-temperature solid-state electrolyte membranes.A dendrite-free LiFePO4 cell with the solid polymer electrolyte(SPE)delivers a discharge capacity of 127 mAh g^(-1) at 25℃ with a capacity retention of 87.5%after 500 cycles at 0.5℃(0.15 mA cm^(-2)).Phase-field simulations and density functional theory calculations demonstrate that the negatively charged benzimidazole chains of PBI own superior affinity to lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide(LiTFSI),and shares overlapping electron density with Li anode,giving rise to accelerated Li^(+)conduction at room temperature and uniform Li electrodeposition at the electrolyte/Li metal interface.The SPE is also flame-retardant since heat-resistant polytetrafluoroethylene and a dense,heat-blocking graphitized carbon layer are formed in intense heat throughdehydrogenation/fluorination of PVDF under the catalysis of Lewis base imidazole rings and the decomposition of benzimidazole rings in PBI.No such fire-resistant mechanism is ever reported in conventional electrolytes.Dongjiang Chen Yuanpeng Liu Chuan Xia Yupei Han Qingwei Sun Xuchang Wang Wei Chen Xian Jian Weiqiang Lv Jianyi Ma Weidong He 2022InfoMat2022,4,5:1
