1New electrochemical energy storage systems based on metallic lithium anode the research status,problems and challenges of lithium-sulfur,lithium-oxygen and all solid state batteries显示文摘Li-ion batteries have played a key role in the portable electronics and electrification of transport in modern society. Nevertheless,the limited highest energy density of Li-ion batteries is not sufficient for the long-term needs of society. Since lithium is the lightest metal among all metallic elements and possesses the lowest redox potential of.3.04 V vs. standard hydrogen electrode, it delivers the highest theoretical specific capacity of 3860 mA h g^(-1) and a high working voltage of full batteries which causes a great interest in electrochemical energy storage systems. Lithium-sulfur, lithium-oxygen and corresponding all solid state batteries based on metal lithium anode have received widely attention owing to their high energy densities. However, the problems in the cathode,electrolyte and anode of these three systems restrict their practical application. 4Deformation mode-determined misorientation and microstructural characteristics in rolled pure Zr sheet显示文摘In this work, commercially pure Zr sheets were subjected to β air cooling and then rolled to different reductions(10% and 50%)at room temperature. Microstructures of both the β-air-cooled and the rolled specimens were well characterized by electron channelling contrast imaging and electron backscatter diffraction techniques, with special attentions paid to their misorientation characteristics. Results show that the β-air-cooled specimen owns a Widmanst?tten structure featured by lamellar grains with typical phase transformation misorientations. The 10% rolling allows prismatic slip and tensile twinning({11-21}<11-2-6> and{10-12}<10-11>) to be activated profusely, which produce new low-angle(~3°–5°) and high-angle(~35° and ~85°) misorientation peaks, respectively. After increasing the rolling reduction to 50%, twinning is suppressed and dislocation slip becomes the dominant deformation mode, with the lamellar grains highly elongated and aligned towards the rolling direction.Meanwhile, only one strong low-angle misorientation peak related to the prismatic slip is presented in the 50%-rolled specimen,with all other peaks disappeared. Analyses on local misorientations reveal that hardly any residual strains exist in the β-air-cooled specimen, which should be related to their sufficient relaxation during slow cooling. 7Enhancing the mechanical properties and cytocompatibility of magnesium potassium phosphate cement by incorporating oxygen-carboxymethyl chitosan显示文摘Incorporating bioactive substances into synthetic bioceramic scaffolds is challenging.In this work,oxygen-carboxymethyl chitosan(0-CMC),a natural biopolymer that is nontoxic,biodegradable and biocompatible,was introduced into magnesium potassium phosphate cement(K-struvite)to enhance its mechanical properties and cytocompatibility.This study aimed to develop 0-CMC/magnesium potassium phosphate composite bone cement(OMPC),thereby combining the opti-mum bioactivity of O-CMC with the extraordinary self setting properties and mechanical intensity of the K-struvite.Our results indicated that O-CMC incorporation increased the compressive strength and setting time of K-struvite and decreased its porosity and pH value.Furthermore,OMPC scaffolds remarkably improved the proliferation,adhesion and osteogenesis related differ-entiation of MC3T3-E1 cells.Therefore,O-CMC introduced suitable physicochemical properties to K-struvite and enhanced its cytocompatibility for use in bone regeneration.Changtian Gong Shuo Fang Kezhou Xia Jingteng Chen Liangyu Guo Weichun Guo 2021Regenerative Biomaterials2021,8,1:2
8Chromatin accessibility and translational Iandscapes of tea plants under chilling stress显示文摘Plants have evolved regulatory mechanisms at multiple levels to regulate gene expression in order to improve their cold adaptability.However,limited information is available regarding the stress response at the chromatin and translational levels.Here,we characterize the chromatin accessibility,transcriptional,and translational landscapes of tea plants in vivo under chilling stress for the first time.Chilling stress signi ficantly affected both the transcription and translation levels as well as the translation efficiency of tea plants.A total of 3010 genes that underwent rapid and independent translation under chilling stress were observed,and they were signi ficantly enriched in the photosynthesis-antenna protein and phenylpropanoid biosynthesis pathways.A set of genes that were signi ficantly responsive to cold at the transcription and translation levels,including four(+)-neomenthol dehydrogenases(MNDs)and two(E)-nerolidol synthases(NESs)arranged in tandem on the chromosomes,were also found.We detected potential upstream open reading frames(uORFs)on 3082 genes and found that tea plants may inhibit the overall expression of genes by enhancing the translation of uORFs under chilling stress.In addition,we identi fied distal transposase hypersensitive sites(THSs)and proximal THSs and constructed a transcriptional regulatory network for tea plants under chilling stress.We also identi fied 13 high-con fidence transcription factors(TFs)that may play a crucial role in cold regulation.These results provide valuable information regarding the potential transcriptional regulatory network in plants and help to clarify how plants exhibit flexible responses to chilling stress.Pengjie Wang Shan Jin Xuejin Chen Liangyu Wu Yucheng Zheng Chuan Yue Yongchun Guo Xingtan Zhang Jiangfan Yang Naixing Ye 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:2
9Estimates of genomic inbreeding and identification of candidate regions that differ between Chinese indigenous sheep breeds显示文摘Background:A run of homozygosity(ROH)is a consecutive tract of homozygous genotypes in an individual that indicates it has inherited the same ancestral haplotype from both parents.Genomic inbreeding can be quantified based on ROH.Genomic regions enriched with ROH may be indicative of selection sweeps and are known as ROH islands.We carried out ROH analyses in five Chinese indigenous sheep breeds;Altay sheep(n=50 individuals),Large-tailed Han sheep(n=50),Hulun Buir sheep(n=150),Short-tailed grassland sheep(n=150),and Tibetan sheep(n=50),using genotypes from an Ovine Infinium HD SNP BeadChip.Results:A total of 18,288 ROH were identified.The average number of ROH per individual across the five sheep breeds ranged from 39(Hulun Buir sheep)to 78(Large-tailed Han sheep)and the average length of ROH ranged from 0.929 Mb(Hulun Buir sheep)to 2.544 Mb(Large-tailed Han sheep).The effective population size(Ne)of Altay sheep,Large-tailed Han sheep,Hulun Buir sheep,Short-tailed grassland sheep and Tibetan sheep were estimated to be 81,78,253,238 and 70 five generations ago.The highest ROH-based inbreeding estimate(FROH)was 0.0808 in Large-tailed Han sheep,whereas the lowest F_(ROH)was 0.0148 in Hulun Buir sheep.Furthermore,the highest proportion of long ROH fragments(>5 Mb)was observed in the Large-tailed Han sheep breed which indicated recent inbreeding.In total,49 ROH islands(the top 0.1% of the SNPs most commonly observed in ROH)were identified in the five sheep breeds.Three ROH islands were common to all the five sheep breeds,and were located on OAR2:12.2-12.3 Mb,OAR12:78.4-79.1 Mb and OAR13:53.0-53.6 Mb.Three breed-specific ROH islands were observed in Altay sheep(OAR15:3.4-3.8 Mb),Large-tailed Han sheep(ORA17:53.5-53.8 Mb)and Tibetan sheep(ORA5:19.8-20.2 Mb).Collectively,the ROH islands harbored 78 unique genes,including 19 genes that have been documented as having associations with tail types,adaptation,growth,body size,reproduction or immune response.Conclusion:Different ROH patterns were observed in five Chinese indigenous sheep breeds,which reflected their different population histories.Large-tailed Han sheep had the highest genomic inbreeding coefficients and the highest proportion of long ROH fragments indicating recent inbreeding.Candidate genes in ROH islands could be used to illustrate the genetic characteristics of these five sheep breeds.Our findings contribute to the understanding of genetic diversity and population demography,and help design and implement breeding and conservation strategies for Chinese sheep.Jiaxin Liu Liangyu Shi Yang Li Liang Chen Dorian Garrick Lixian Wang Fuping Zhao 2022Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2022,13,1:1

14Genome mining reveals the biosynthetic potential of the marinederived strain Streptomyces marokkonensis M10显示文摘Marine streptomycetes are rich sources of natural products with novel structures and interesting biological activities,and genome mining of marine streptomycetes facilitates rapid discovery of their useful products.In this study,a marine-derived Streptomyces sp.M10 was revealed to share a 99.02%16S rDNA sequence identity with that of Streptomyces marokkonensis Ap1T,and was thus named S.marokkonensis M10.To further evaluate its biosynthetic potential,the 7,207,169 bps of S.marokkonensis M10 genome was sequenced.Genomic sequence analysis for potential secondary metaboliteassociated gene clusters led to the identification of at least three polyketide synthases(PKSs),six non-ribosomal peptide synthases(NRPSs),one hybrid NRPS-PKS,two lantibiotic and five terpene biosynthetic gene clusters.One type I PKS gene cluster was revealed to share high nucleotide similarity with the candicidin/FR008 gene cluster,indicating the capacity of this microorganism to produce polyene macrolides.This assumption was further verified by isolation of two polyene family compounds PF1 and PF2,which have the characteristic UV adsorption at 269,278,290 nm(PF1)and 363,386 and 408 nm(PF2),respectively.S.marokkonensis M10 is therefore a new source of polyene metabolites.Further studies on S.marokkonensis M10 will provide more insights into natural product biosynthesis potential of related streptomycetes.This is also the first report to describe the genome sequence of S.marokkonensis-related strain.Liangyu Chen Ying-Mi Lai Yu-Liang Yang Xinqing Zhao 2016Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2016,1,1:0
15The Characteristics of Soil Nutrients in Terracing Land under Different Land Use Patterns in Three Gorges Reservoir Area显示文摘In this study,taking the typical terracing land in Wushan County of Chongqing Municipality for example,we study the distribution of soil nutrients in the terracing land under different land use patterns in Three Gorges Reservoir Area. We conduct field survey and sampling on three different land use patterns( cash crop land,food crop land and abandoned land),and do the indoor experimental analysis of soil nutrient indicators. The results indicate that there is significant or very significant impact on soil nutrients under different land use patterns. The content of soil organic matter declines in sequence from abandoned land,food crop land to cash crop land; the content of soil N declines in sequence from cash crop land,abandoned land to food crop land; the content of soil P declines in sequence from cash crop land,food crop land to abandoned land; the content of soil K declines in sequence from abandoned land,cash crop land to food crop land. 16Characteristics and source apportionment of ambient volatile organic compounds and ozone generation sensitivity in urban Jiaozuo,China显示文摘In recent years,many cities have taken measures to reduce volatile organic compounds(VOCs),an important precursor of ozone(O_(3)),to alleviate O_(3) pollution in China.116 VOC species were measured by online and offline methods in the urban area of Jiaozuo from May to October in 2021 to analyze the compositional characteristics.VOC sources were analyzed by a positive matrix factorization(PMF)model,and the sensitivity of ozone generation was determined by ozone isopleth plotting research(OZIPR)simulation.The results showed that the average volume concentration of total VOCs was 30.54 ppbv and showed a bimodal feature due to the rush-hour traffic in the morning and at nightfall.The most dominant VOC groups were oxygenated VOCs(OVOCs,29.3%)and alkanes(26.7%),and the most abundant VOC species were acetone and acetylene.However,based on the maximum incremental reactivity(MIR)method,the major VOC groups in terms of ozone formation potential(OFP)contribution were OVOCs(68.09μg/m^(3),31.5%),aromatics(62.90μg/m^(3),29.1%)and alkene/alkynes(54.90μg/m^(3),25.4%).This indicates that the control of OVOCs,aromatics and alkene/alkynes should take priority.Five sources of VOCs were quantified by PMF,including fixed sources of fossil fuel combustion(27.8%),industrial processes(25.9%),vehicle exhaust(19.7%),natural and secondary formation(13.9%)and solvent usage(12.7%).The empirical kinetic modeling approach(EKMA)curve obtained by OZIPR on O_(3) exceedance days indicated that the O_(3) sensitivity varied in different months.The results provide theoretical support for O_(3) pollution prevention and control in Jiaozuo.Pengzhao Li Chun Chen Dan Liu Jie Lian Wei Li Chuanyi Fan Liangyu Yan Yue Gao Miao Wang Hang Liu Xiaole Pan Jing Mao 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,4:0
17Precursor engineering enables high-performance all-inorganic CsPbIBr_(2) perovskite solar cells with a record efficiency approaching 13%显示文摘All-inorganic CsPbIBr_(2) perovskite has attracted widespread attention in photovoltaic and other optoelectronic devices because of its superior thermal stability.However,the deposition of high-quality solutionprocessed CsPbIBr_(2) perovskite films with large thicknesses remains challenging.Here,we develop a triple-component precursor(TCP) by employing lead bromide,lead iodide,and cesium bromide,to replace the most commonly used double-component precursor(DCP) consisting of lead bromide and cesium iodide.Remarkably,the TCP system significantly increases the solution concentration to 1.3 M,leading to a larger film thickness(~390 nm) and enhanced light absorption.The resultant CsPbIBr_(2) films were evaluated in planar n-i-p structured solar cells,which exhibit a considerably higher optimal photocurrent density of 11.50 mA cm^(-2) in comparison to that of DCP-based devices(10.69 mA cm^(-2)).By adopting an organic surface passivator,the maximum device efficiency using TCP is further boosted to a record efficiency of 12.8% for CsPbIBr_(2) perovskite solar cells.Qingyan Chang Yidan An Huaiman Cao Yuzhen Pan Liangyu Zhao Yulong Chen Yi We Sai-Wing Tsang Hin-Lap Yip Licheng Sun Ze Yu 2024Journal of Energy Chemistry2024,90,3:0
18Comprehensive and deep profiling of the plasma proteome with protein corona on zeolite NaY显示文摘Proteomic characterization of plasma is critical for the development of novel pharmacodynamic biomarkers.However,the vast dynamic range renders the profiling of proteomes extremely challenging.Here,we synthesized zeolite NaY and developed a simple and rapid method to achieve comprehensive and deep profiling of the plasma proteome using the plasma protein corona formed on zeolite NaY.Specifically,zeolite NaY and plasma were co-incubated to form plasma protein corona on zeolite NaY(NaY-PPC),followed by conventional protein identification using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry.NaY was able to significantly enhance the detection of low-abundance plasma proteins,minimizing the“masking”effect caused by high-abundance proteins.The relative abundance of middleand low-abundance proteins increased substantially from 2.54%to 54.41%,and the top 20 highabundance proteins decreased from 83.63%to 25.77%.Notably,our method can quantify approximately 4000 plasma proteins with sensitivity up to pg/mL,compared to only about 600 proteins identified from untreated plasma samples.A pilot study based on plasma samples from 30 lung adenocarcinoma patients and 15 healthy subjects demonstrated that our method could successfully distinguish between healthy and disease states.In summary,this work provides an advantageous tool for the exploration of plasma proteomics and its translational applications.Congcong Ma Yanwei Li Jie Li Lei Song Liangyu Chen Na Zhao Xueping Li Ning Chen Lixia Long Jin Zhao Xin Hou Li Ren Xubo Yuan 2023Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2023,13,5:0
