| 7 | Experimental Investigation on Hydrophobic Behavior of Carbon Spheres Coated Surface Made from Microplastics显示文摘In this paper,a simple method to plate a hydrophobic coating on the inner surface of a small-scaled tube was proposed,where the coating consisted of carbon microspheres.Three common plastics polystyrene,polycarbonate and polyethylene were used as the feedstocks to be processed in supercritical water in a quartz tubular reactor.After reaction,the contact angle of droplet on the inner surface of the quartz tube was turned out to be over 100°,significantly larger than that of the blank tube 54°.When processing polystyrene in the 750℃ supercritical water for 10 min,the largest contact angle was obtained,up to 145°.Besides,in this sample,the size of carbon spheres was smallest,about 2.09μm diameter on average.When comparing among different types of plastics under the same condition,the contact angle of surface made from PC took the dominant position over that of PS and PE,124°,100°and 90°,respectively.In the sample made from PC,carbon spheres adhered into a mountainlike shape,producing a binary geometric structure.Furthermore,this research could be helpful in the discussion of plastic waste management and carbon spheres fabrication with low cost. | Peng Liu Bin Bai Cui Wang Yunan Chen Zhiwei Ge Wenwen Wei Hui Jin | 2021 | Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,12: | 0 |

| 10 | Trimetallic FeCoNi disulfide nanosheets for CO_(2)-emission-free methanol conversion显示文摘The electrocatalytic methanol conversion is of importance in direct methanol fuel cell,biomass reform-ing,and hydrogen generation.To achieve a“carbon-neutral”target,CO_(2)byproducts derived from biofuels should be mitigated.In contrast to the complete oxidation of methanol to CO_(2),the selective oxidation of methanol to formate is a CO_(2)-emission-free route without the generation of toxic CO intermediates.Herein,we present a highly active catalyst based on transition-metal disulfide nanosheet arrays sup-ported on Ni foam for methanol conversion.Through composition screening,we find that the FeCoNi disulfide nanosheet exhibits a highly efficient and selective methanol-to-formate conversion.The surface reconstruction of this catalyst allows us to produce 0.66 mmol cm^(−2)h^(−1)of formate at low potential(1.40 V)with high faradaic efficiency of>98%.This work offers a substantial composition tuning strat-egy to construct noble-metal-free active multi-metal sites for CO_(2)-emission-free conversion of methanol to value-added formate. | Yunan Yi Junshan Li Chunhua Cui | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,2: | 0 |
