1Dark current mechanism of unpassivated mid wavelength type II InAs/GaSb superlattice infrared photodetector显示文摘We investigate the dark current mechanism for an unpassivated mid wavelength(MW) type II InAs/GaSb superlattice infrared photodetector by doing the variablearea diode tests. The bulk resistance-area product and the resistivity due to the surface current are determined to be17.72 X cm2 and 704.23 X cm at 77 K, respectively. It is found that for all the mesa sizes used, the dark current is dominated or predominated by the surface component, and with scaling back the mesa size, the surface current increases while the bulk component decreases. The activation energy is determined to be 145 meV for the temperature range around 140–280 K, while it is 6 meV when temperature is below 100 K. 5PAS domain of the deduced Org35 protein mediates the interaction with NifA显示文摘NifA in Azospirillum brasilense plays a key role in regulating the synthesis of nitrogenase in response to ammonia and oxygen available. Recently, our laboratory has identified four clones, whose gene prodcuts interact with NifA, from A. brasilense Sp7 genomic libraries by using the yeast two-hybrid sys- tem with NifA as bait. We are interested in clone S35, one of the four clones, because it contains a PAS-domain coding region. The entire open reading frame (ORF) for the PAS domain-containing protein was isolated and designated as org35 here. org35 gene is 2211-bp long and encodes a protein of 736 aa with a predicted molecular weight of about 78.4 kD. The predicted amino acid sequence of org35 has similarity to some two-component sensor kinase/response regulator hybrids of bacteria. Struc- tural analyses showed that Org35 comprises at least three discrete conserved domains: the N-terminal PAS, the central histidine protein kinase (HPK) and the C-terminal response regulator (RR). The PAS domain of the deduced Org35 protein was found to interact directly with NifA, but the central HPK and the C-terminal RR domains of Org35 were not. 8Single-cell transcriptomic profiling reveals the tumor heterogeneity of small-cell lung cancer显示文摘Small-cell lung cancer(SCLC)is the most aggressive and lethal subtype of lung cancer,for which,better understandings of its biology are urgently needed.Single-cell sequencing technologies provide an opportunity to profile individual cells within the tumor microenvironment(TME)and investigate their roles in tumorigenic processes.Here,we performed high-precision single-cell transcriptomic analysis of~5000 individual cells from primary tumors(PTs)and matched normal adjacent tissues(NATs)from 11 SCLC patients,including one patient with both PT and relapsed tumor(RT).The comparison revealed an immunosuppressive landscape of human SCLC.Malignant cells in SCLC tumors exhibited diverse states mainly related to the cell cycle,immune,and hypoxic properties.Our data also revealed the intratumor heterogeneity(ITH)of key transcription factors(TFs)in SCLC and related gene expression patterns and functions.The non-neuroendocrine(non-NE)tumors were correlated with increased inflammatory gene signatures and immune cell infiltrates in SCLC,which contributed to better responses to immune checkpoint inhibitors.These findings indicate a significant heterogeneity of human SCLC,and intensive crosstalk between cancer cells and the TME at single-cell resolution,and thus,set the stage for a better understanding of the biology of SCLC as well as for developing new therapeutics for SCLC.Yanhua Tian Qingqing Li Zhenlin Yang Shu Zhang Jiachen Xu Zhijie Wang Hua Bai Jianchun Duan Bo Zheng Wen Li Yueli Cui Xin Wang Rui Wan Kailun Fei Jia Zhong Shugeng Gao Jie He Carl MGay Jianjun Zhang Jie Wang Fuchou Tang 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,11:1

10Shigellosis seasonality and transmission characteristics in different areas of China: A modelling study显示文摘Objective:In China,the burden of shigellosis is unevenly distributed,notably across various ages and geographical areas.Shigellosis temporal trends appear to be seasonal.We should clarify seasonal warnings and regional transmission patterns.Method:This study adopted a Logistic model to assess the seasonality and a dynamics model to compare the transmission in different areas.The next-generation matrix was used to calculate the effective reproduction number(Reff)to quantify the transmissibility.Results:In China,the rate of shigellosis fell from 35.12 cases per 100,000 people in 2005 to 7.85 cases per 100,000 people in 2017,peaking in June and August.After simulation by the Logistic model,the‘peak time’is mainly concentrated from mid-June to mid-July.China's‘early warning time’is primarily focused on from April to May.We predict the‘peak time’of shigellosis is the 6.30th month and the‘early warning time’is 3.87th month in 2021.According to the dynamics model results,the water/food transfer pathway has been mostly blocked off.The transmissibility of different regions varies greatly,such as the mean Reff of Longde County(3.76)is higher than Xiamen City(3.15),higher than Chuxiong City(2.52),and higher than Yichang City(1.70).Conclusion:The‘early warning time’for shigellosis in China is from April to May every year,and it may continue to advance in the future,such as the early warning time in 2021 is in mid-March.Furthermore,we should focus on preventing and controlling the personto-person route of shigellosis and stratified deploy prevention and control measures according to the regional transmission.Zeyu Zhao Meng Yang Jinlong Lv Qingqing Hu Qiuping Chen Zhao Lei Mingzhai Wang Hao Zhang Xiongjie Zhai Benhua Zhao Yanhua Su Yong Chen Xu-Sheng Zhang Jing-An Cui Roger Frutos Tianmu Chen 2022Infectious Disease Modelling2022,7,2:1
11Electrochemical performance of NiCl_(2) with Br-free molten salt electrolyte in high power thermal batteries显示文摘NiCl_(2) with high theoretical voltage and thermal decomposition temperature attracts much attention as cathode material for thermal batteries with the requirement of high power density, high energy density and long work time. Unfortunately, the practical utilization of thermal batteries with NiCl_(2) cathode is limited by their poor electrochemical performance under large current, even with the conventional Li F-Li Cl-Li Br all-lithium molten salt electrolyte which proposes ultrahigh lithium ion conductivity. In this work, an unexpected ionic exchange reaction between NiCl_(2) and Li Br in Li F-Li Cl-Li Br was found, which would be the main reason for the poor electrochemical behavior of thermal batteries with NiCl_(2) cathode and Li F-Li Cl-Li Br molten salt. On this basis, Li F-Li Cl-Li_(2)SO_(4), another all-lithium molten salt free of Li Br, was investigated as the new electrolyte for NiCl_(2) cathode. 14Outer delocalized electron aggregation of bromide bridged core–shell CuBr@C for hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘Modulation of the surface electron distribution is a challenging problem that determines the adsorption ability of catalytic process.Here,we address this challenge by bridging the inner and outer layers of the core–shell structure through the bridge Br atom.Carbon shell wrapped copper bromide nanorods(CuBr@C)are constructed for the first time by chemical vapour deposition with hexabromobenzene(HBB).HBB pyrolysis provides both bridge Br atom and C shells.The C shell protects the stability of the internal halide structure,while the bridge Br atom triggers the rearrangement of the surface electrons and exhibits excellent electrocatalytic activity.Impressively,the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)activity of CuBr@C is significantly better than that of commercial N-doped carbon nanotubes,surpassing commercial Pt/C at over 200 mA·cm^(−2).Density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that bridge Br atoms inspire aggregation of delocalized electrons on C-shell surfaces,leading to optimization of hydrogen adsorption energy.Tianyi Xu Ruoyu Li Lei Zhang Dongxu Jiao Yilong Dong Ming Gong Dantong Zhang Jinchang Fan Dewen Wang Yanhua Liu Xiao Zhao Wei Zhang Weitao Zheng Xiaoqiang Cui 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0
