1Microwave Absorption and Shielding Property of Composites with FeSiAl and Carbonous Materials as Filler显示文摘Silicone rubber composites filled with FeSiAl alloys and multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNT)/graphite have been prepared for the first time by a coating process.The complex permittivity and permeability of the composites were measured with a vector network analyzer in a 1-4 GHz frequency range,and the DC electric conductivity was measured by a standard four-point contact method.These parameters were then used to calculate the reflection loss(RL) and shielding effectiveness(SE) of the composites.The results showed that the added MWCNT increased the permittivity and permeability of composites in the L-band,while the added graphite increased only the permittivity.The variation lies in the interactions between two carbonous absorbents.Addition of 1 wt% MWCNT enhanced the RL in the L-band(minimum 5.7 dB at 1 mm,7.3 dB at 1.5 mm),while the addition of graphite did not.Addition of MWCNT as well as graphite reinforced the shielding property of the composites(maximum SE 13.3 dB at 1 mm,18.3 dB at 1.5 mm) owing to the increase of conductivity.The addition of these carbonous materials could hold the promise of enforcing the absorption and shielding property of the absorbers.Wenqiang Zhang Yonggang Xu Liming Yuan Jun Cai Deyuan Zhang 2012Journal of Materials Science & Technology2012,28,10:8
2Effects of Multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes on the Electromagnetic Absorbing Characteristics of Composites Filled with Carbonyl Iron Particles显示文摘The electromagnetic(EM) wave absorbing property of silicone rubber filled with carbonyl iron particles(CIPs) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs) was examined.Absorbents including MWCNTs and spherical/flaky CIPs were added to silicone rubber using a two-roll mixer.The complex permittivity and complex permeability were measured over the frequency range of 1-18 GHz.The two EM parameters were verified and the uniform dispersion of MWCNTs and CIPs was confirmed by comparing the measured reflection loss(RL) with the calculated one.As the MWCNT weight percent increased,the RL of the spherical CIPs/silicone rubber composites changed insignificantly.It was attributed to the random distribution of spherical CIPs and less content of MWCNTs.On the contrary,for composites filled with flaky CIPs the absorption bandwidth increased at thickness 0.5 mm(RL value lower than-5 dB in 8-18 GHz) and the absorption ratio increased at lower frequency(minimum-35 dB at 3.5 GHz).This effect was attributed to the oriented distribution of flaky CIPs caused by interactions between the two absorbents.Therefore,mixing MWCNTs and flaky CIPs could achieve wider-band and higher-absorption ratio absorbing materials.Yonggang Xu Deyuan Zhang Jun Cai Liming Yuan Wenqiang Zhang 2012Journal of Materials Science & Technology2012,28,1:7

4Determining the fluorescent components in drilling fluid by using NMR method显示文摘Fluorescent additives can reduce drilling operation risks, especially during high angle deviated well drilling and when managing stuck pipe problems. However, they can affect oil discovery and there is a need to reduce the level of fluorescents or change the drilling fluids to prevent loss of drilling velocity and efficiency. In this paper, based on the analysis of drilling fluids by NMR with high sensitivity, solid and liquid additives have been analyzed under conditions with different fluorescent levels and temperatures. The results show that all of the solid additives have no NMR signal, and therefore cannot affect oil discovery during drilling. For the liquid additives with different oil products, the characterizations can be quantified and evaluated through a T2 cumulated spectrum, oil peak(T2g), and oil content of the drilling fluids. 5Global Stability for a Heroin Model with Age-Dependent Susceptibility显示文摘This paper considers global asymptotic properties for an age-structured model of heroin use based on the principles of mathematical epidemiology where the incidence rate depends on the age of susceptible individuals. The basic reproduction number of the heroin spread is obtained. It completely determines the stability of equilibria. 6Myofiber necroptosis promotes muscle stem cell proliferation via releasing Tenascin-C during regeneration显示文摘Necroptosis,a form of programmed cell death,is characterized by the loss of membrane integrity and release of intracellular contents,the execution of which depends on the membrane-disrupting activity of the Mixed Lineage Kinase Domain-Like protein(MLKL)upon its phosphorylation.Here we found myofibers committed MLKL-dependent necroptosis after muscle injury.Either pharmacological inhibition of the necroptosis upstream kinase Receptor Interacting Protein Kinases 1(RIPK1)or genetic ablation of MLKL expression in myofibers led to significant muscle regeneration defects.By releasing factors into the muscle stem cell(MuSC)microenvironment,necroptotic myofibers facilitated muscle regeneration.Tenascin-C(TNC),released by necroptotic myofibers,was found to be critical for MuSC proliferation.The temporary expression of TNC in myofibers is tightly controlled by necroptosis;the extracellular release of TNC depends on necroptotic membrane rupture.TNC directly activated EGF receptor(EGFR)signaling pathway in MuSCs through its N-terminus assembly domain together with the EGF-like domain.These findings indicate that necroptosis plays a key role in promoting MuSC proliferation to facilitate muscle regeneration.Shen'ao Zhou Wei Zhang Gaihong Cai Yingzhe Ding Caixia Wei Sheng Li Yu Yang Jie Qin Dan Liu Hao Zhang Xiexiang Shao Jianhua Wang Hongye Wang Wenjun Yang Huating Wang She Chen Ping Hu Liming Sun 2020Cell Research2020,30,12:4
7Effect of W addition on phase transformation and microstructure of powder metallurgic Ti-22Al-25Nb alloys during quenching and furnace cooling显示文摘Powder metallurgic Ti2 AlNb alloys with W addition are sintered at 900, 1000, 1070 °C,and 1150 °C(i.e., in the O + B2, a_2+ B2 + O, a_2+ B2, and single B2 phase regions, respectively)for 12 h, followed by water quenching and furnace cooling. Comparisons of phase and microstructure between quenched and furnace-cooled W-modified alloys are carried out to illustrate the phase transformation and microstructure evolution during the cooling process. Furthermore, a comparison is also made between W-modified and W-free alloys, to reveal the function of the W alloying.W addition accelerates the solutions of a_2 and O phases during the high-temperature holding, and a Widmannsta¨tten B2 + O structure, which contributes to the properties, is induced by furnace cooling from all the phase regions. The Widmannsta¨tten structure includes a B2 matrix, primary O, and secondary O precipitates. However, W alloying refines the Widmannsta¨tten structure only when the alloys are solution-treated and then cooled from the single B2 phase. 9Efficient zonal diagnosis with maximum satisfiability显示文摘Model-based diagnosis(MBD) has been widely acknowledged as an effective diagnosis paradigm.However, for large scale circuits, it is difficult to find all cardinality-minimal diagnoses within a reasonable time. This paper proposes a novel method that takes a significant step in this direction. The idea is to divide a circuit into zones and compute the cardinality-minimal diagnoses by finding subset-minimal diagnoses with cardinality-minimal via a maximum satisfiability(MaxSAT) solver on an abstracted circuit that is composed of these zones instead of all components. We also propose a new propagate-extend method for extending the seed-TLDs to obtain all cardinality-minimal diagnoses efficiently. We implement our method with a state-of-the-art core-guided MaxSAT solver, and present evidence that it significantly improves the diagnosis efficiency on ISCAS-85 circuits. 17Virus-inspired surface-nanoengineered antimicrobial liposome:A potential system to simultaneously achieve high activity and selectivity显示文摘Enveloped viruses such as SARS-CoV-2 frequently have a highly infectious nature and are considered effective natural delivery systems exhibiting high efficiency and specificity.Since simultaneously enhancing the activity and selectivity of lipopeptides is a seemingly unsolvable problem for conventional chemistry and pharmaceutical approaches,we present a biomimetic strategy to construct lipopeptide-based mimics of viral architectures and infections to enhance their antimicrobial efficacy while avoiding side effects.Herein,a surface-nanoengineered antimicrobial liposome(SNAL)is developed with the morphological features of enveloped viruses,including a moderate size range,lipid-based membrane structure,and highly lipopeptide-enriched bilayer surface.The SNAL possesses virus-like infection to bacterial cells,which can mediate high-efficiency and high-selectivity bacteria binding,rapidly attack and invade bacteria via plasma membrane fusion pathway,and induce a local“burst”release of lipopeptide to produce irreversible damage of cell membrane.Remarkably,viral mimics are effective against multiple pathogens with low minimum inhibitory concentrations(1.6-6.3μg mL1),high bactericidal efficiency of>99%within 2 h,>10-fold enhanced selectivity over free lipopeptide,99.8%reduction in skin MRSA load after a single treatment,and negligible toxicity.This bioinspired design has significant potential to enhance the therapeutic efficacy of lipopeptides and may create new opportunities for designing next-generation antimicrobials.Yin Shi Xiaoqian Feng Liming Lin Jing Wang Jiaying Chi Biyuan Wu Guilin Zhou Feiyuan Yu Qian Xu Daojun Liu Guilan Quan Chao Lu Xin Pan Jianfeng Cai Chuanbin Wu 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,10:1
