| 7 | Recent advances in chemical durability and mechanical stability of superhydrophobic materials: Multi-strategy design and strengthening显示文摘Inspired by the lotus leaf effect, non-wetting artificial superhydrophobic surfaces demonstrate an enormous potential in numerous fields. However, limited by poor stability and durability, superhydrophobic surfaces are rarely available for practical applications. In this review, based on the wettability mechanisms and failure modes of superhydrophobic surfaces, it is proposed that the construction of highly stable superhydrophobic materials can be approached from four aspects, including structural design, chemical bonding, interfacial-strengthening of hydrophobic materials and substrates, and self-healing. We introduced in detail the design ideas, strengthening approaches, and characterization tools of highly stable superhydrophobic materials from the perspective of multi-strategy design and strengthening, and provided corresponding insights. Eventually, the development, current status, and prospects of highly stable and multifunctional superhydrophobic materials were also presented in detail. | 8 | Effects of edpetiline from Fritillaria on inflammation and oxidative stress induced by LPS stimulation in RAW264.7 macrophages显示文摘The dry bulbs of Fritillaria cirrhosa species can help resolve phlegm,soothe cough,clear heat,and moisten the lung,and the main active components responsible for these effect are its alkaloids.However,it is unclear whether or how edpetiline in Fritillaria can inhibit the excessive inflammatory response and oxidative stress.In this research,we aimed to examine this aspect using lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages as an inflammatory model.The quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and western blot analysis results showed that edpetiline significantly inhibited the content and mRNA expression levels of proinflammatory cytokines(TNF-αand IL-6)in LPS-induced RAW264.7 cells,significantly increased the mRNA expression of IL-4(anti-inflammatory cytokine),and markedly downregulated the inflammatory mediators inductible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS)and cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2)mRNA and protein expression levels.The oxidative stress induced by LPS was also inhibited by edpetiline,as the level of intracellular reactive oxygen species decreased notably.Edpetiline may exert anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects through inhibiting the phosphorylation of IκB and the nuclear transcription of nuclear transcription factor-κB p65 and decreasing the phosphorylation of p38 and ERK in the mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathway,without activating the JNK/mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathway.These findings suggest that edpetiline may be a potential therapeutic agent for the prevention or treatment of inflammation-and oxidative stress-related pathophysiological processes and diseases. | Hongli Zhang Xiaoqing Xu Zhenhua Liu Dongxiao Sun-Waterhouse Jinmei Wang Changyang Ma Geoffrey I.N.Waterhouse Wenyi Kang | 2021 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,2: | 2 |
| 9 | A Retrospective Study of Treatment Efficacy of 65 Children with Ametroic Amblyopia显示文摘Purpose: To investigate relationship between treatment efficacy and the severity of ametropic amblyopia, the type of anisometropia and patient age. Methods:A total of 65 children with ametropic amblyopia undergoing clinical treatment in the ophthalmology department of Shaoguan Hygienic Hospital of Women and Children between June 2005 and November 2011 were enrolled in this study. The treatment efficacy for those subjects with different severities of ametropic amblyopia, types of anisometropia and ages was recorded. Results: The near-recovery/recovery rate, improvement rate and ineffectiveness rate were 70.8%, 16.9% and 12.3%, respectively. The recovery rates in mild-, moderate- and severe amblyopia groups were 97.1%, 61.1% and 8.3% respectively (P<0.05)..The recovery rate for patients with hyperopic-, astigmatic- and myopic anisometropia were 75.8%, 78.3% and 33.3% respectively. The recovery rates did not differ between hyperopic- and astigmatic- anisometropia children(P>0.05), whereas a statistically significant difference was noted between myopic children compared with their hyperopic and myopic-anisometropia counterparts (all P<0.05). The recovery rate for patients aged 3 to 6 years was 86.8% and 48.1% for those aged between 7 and 10 years (P<0.05). Conclusion: The treatment efficacy in ametropic amblyopia is associated with the severity of amblyopia, type of anisometropia and patient's age. Older patients with more severe amblyopia had poorer treatment efficacy. | 17 | Structural Topology and Dynamic Response Analysis of an Electric Torque Vectoring Drive-Axle for Electric Vehicles显示文摘In-wheel motor-drive electric vehicles have the advantage of independently controllable wheel torque and the disadvantages of unsprung mass rise and power restriction.To address the disadvantages,a centralized layout electric torque vectoring drive-axle system(E-TVDS)with dual motors is proposed,which can realize arbitrary distribution of driving torque between the left and right wheels.First,the speed and torque distribution principle of E-TVDS based on velocity diagram are analyzed,and a virtual prototype of the whole vehicle with basic gear ratio relation model of the E-TVDS is built for simulation to verify the theoretical results and the basic effect of E-TVDS on the steering performance of the vehicle.Second,the charac-teristics of 36 types of the novel E-TVDS topology structure are compared and analyzed,and the optimal structure scheme is selected.Third,the accurate multiple degrees of freedom dynamic model for the optimal structure is established by using the bond graph method,and its dynamic response characteristics are analyzed.The results show that the vehicle equipped with the proposed E-TVDS can distribute the driving torque with the almost identical amount but opposite sign between the left and right wheels in any direction,and varying amount according to different chassis dynamics control requirements,and the torque response performance is great with little delay and overshoot.The function and dynamic response of the proposed E-TVDS show that it has potential application value for various performance improvements of electric vehicles. | Junnian Wang Shoulin Gao Yue Qiang Meng Xu Changyang Guan Zidong Zhou | 2022 | Automotive Innovation2022,5,2: | 1 |
