| 1 | Resveratrol compares with melatonin in improving in vitro porcine oocyte maturation under heat stress显示文摘Background: Resveratrol, an important phyto-antioxidant commonly found in grapes, mulberry, and other plants,has a variety of functions including anti-aging, anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory activities. In the current study, we investigated the beneficial effects of resveratrol on in vitro porcine oocyte maturation under heat stress(HS). The effect of resveratrol, melatonin and their combination on alleviating HS was compared according to the maturation rate of oocytes and the development competence of embryos after parthenogenetic activation(PA).Results: Supplementation with resveratrol(2.0 μmol/L) not only improved the nuclear maturation but also raised the blastocyst rate of porcine embryos' PA from oocytes that underwent HS by increasing their glutathione(GSH)level, reducing reactive oxygen species(ROS) and up-regulating the expression of Sirtuin 1(SIRT1). It was also found that melatonin(10^(-7)mol/L) and the combination of resveratrol(2.0 μmol/L) plus melatonin(10^(-7)mol/L) exhibited more potent effects than resveratrol alone regarding their protective activities on oocyte maturation under HS.Conclusions: This study compared the efficiencies of resveratrol, melatonin and their combination for protecting porcine oocytes from heat stress. | 2 | The Oxidation State of Sulfur Detected in Na_2O-CaO-SiO_2 Float Glass by X-ray Absorption Near Edge Structure Spectra显示文摘The oxidation state of sulfur is detected in Na2O-CaO-SiO2 float glass by synchrotron radiation X-ray absorption near edge structure (XANES) spectra at the sulfur K edge. The measured spectra show the only presence of S6+ in the Na2O-CaO-SiO2 float glass and the oxidation state of sulfur do not change with the increase of glass depth. It is also found that, after the melt has gone through the molten tin bath, the S6+ is the dominant species, but S2- is also present on both surfaces. | 6 | Influence of TiCl_4 treatment on performance of dye-sensitized solar cell assembled with nano-TiO_2 coating deposited by vacuum cold spraying显示文摘Titanium tetrachloride (TiCl4) treatment was employed to TiO2 coating deposited on fluoride-doped tin oxide (FTO) conducting glass and indium oxide doped tin oxide (ITO) conducting glass, respectively. The nano-crystalline TiO2 coating was deposited using a composite powder composed of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and 25 nm TiO2 particles by vacuum cold spraying (VCS) process. A commercial N-719 dye was used to adsorb on the surface of TiO2 coating to prepare TiO2 electrode, which was applied to assemble dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC). The cell performance was measured under simulated solar light at an intensity of 100 mW·cm-2. Results show that with an FTO substrate the DSC composed of a VCS TiO2 electrode untreated by TiCl4 gives a short-circuit current density of 13.1 mA·cm-2 and an open circuit voltage of 0.60 V corresponding to an overall conversion efficiency of 4.4%. It is found that after TiCl4 treatment to the VCS TiO2 electrode with an FTO substrate, the short circuit current density of the cell increases by 31%, the open-circuit voltage increases by 60 mV and a higher conversion yield of 6.5% was obtained. | 7 | Influence of Deposition Temperature on the Splat Bonding and Mechanical Properties of Plasma-Sprayed Tungsten Coatings显示文摘The mechanical properties of thermally sprayed metallic coatings are limited by the bonding between splats.In this study,tungsten coatings were deposited at different deposition temperatures by controlling the substrate temperature through shrouded plasma spraying.The dependence of the splat bonding and mechanical properties of W coatings on deposition temperature was investigated.The results showed that the apparent porosity of the coatings decreased from 3.2%to 0.3%with the increase of the deposition temperature.The Young's modulus of W coating was significantly increased from 128 to 307 GPa as the deposition temperature increased from room temperature to 800°C.The microhardness of the coatings was less influenced by the deposition temperature.It was found that splat bonding across lamellae was formed when the deposition temperature was higher than 600°C compared to the obvious lamellae interface in the coatings deposited at temperatures lower than 600°C.The results evidently revealed that the mechanical properties of plasma-sprayed W coatings could be controlled through the splat bonding by altering deposition temperature. | Yang Guanjun Kang Xiaohu Li Chengxin Li Changjiu | 2012 | 稀有金属材料与工程2012,41,S1: | 3 |

| 11 | Expression of IL-6 and TNF-α in benign prostatic hyperplasia combined with histological inflammation显示文摘Objective:To detect the expression of TNF-αand IL-6 in simple benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)and BPH combined with prostatitis,and to evaluate the effect of inflammation of the development and progression of BPH.Methods:Specimens of 90 patients with BPH underwent transurethral resection of prostate(TURP)were obtained.All speci-mens were divided histologically by HE staining into group of 35 cases of simple BPH(A group)and group of 55 cases of BPH combined with prostatitis(B group).Proteins levels of TNF-αand IL-6 were examined by immunohistochemistry.All patients’clinical indicators including PSA,prostate volume,age,urinary flow rate were recorded,and all patients were diagnosed as BPH by pathology.Results:All patients of B group were found combined with chronic prostatitis.The constituent ratio was 61%.Patients’prostate volume and PSA of B group were significant higher than A group(p<.05),but there were no significant differences in urine flow rate and patients’age(p>.05).As compared with A group,the expression of TNF-αand IL-6 significantly increased in B group(p<.05).The results of analysis were as follows:there existed a moderate correlation between prostate volume and patients’age(r=0.430,p<.001);there existed a moderate correlation between prostate volume and the degree of inflammation(r=0.610 and r=0.609,p<.01);there existed a moderate correlation between PSA and the degree of inflammation(r=0.572 and r=0.487,p<.01);there was not significant correlation between PSA and patients’age(r=0.065,p>.1);controlling influence of the age factor by partial correlation analysis,there was still a significant correlation between the prostate volume and level of inflammation.Conclusions:Most BPH patients are combined with prostatitis especially chronic inflammation.TNF-αand IL-6 are two-pro-inflammation cytokines,which obtain high expression in the prostate tissue combined with histological inflammation.Patients’prostate volume and PSA of BPH combined with prostatitis are significantly higher than those of simple BPH.However,there are no significant differences in urine flow rate and patients’age.These two cytokines may play an important part in promoting BPH and secretion of PSA. | Lei Wang Zhizhong Liu Lei Yang Haitao Zhao Changjiu Yue Jianxin Li Lizhong Han | 2016 | Discussion of Clinical Cases2016,3,1: | 1 |
