| 1 | Laparoscopic Partial Nephrectomy With Segmental Renal Artery Clamping:Technique and Clinical Outcomes显示文摘Background:Warm ischemic injury is one of the most important factors affecting renal function in partial nephrectomy(PN).The technique of segmental renal artery clamping emerges as an alternative to conventional renal artery clamping for renal hilar control.Objective:To evaluate the feasibility and efficiency of laparoscopic PN(LPN) with segmental renal artery clamping in comparison with the conventional technique.Design,setting,and participants:A total of 75 patients underwent LPN from June 2007 to November 2009.All patients had T1a or T1b tumor in one kidney and a normal contralateral kidney.Thirty-seven patients underwent surgeries with main renal artery clamping,and 38 underwent surgeries with segmental artery clamping.Intervention:All procedures were performed by the same laparoscopic surgeon.Measurements:Blood loss,operation time,warm ischemia(WI) time,and complications affected renal function before and after operation were recorded.Results and limitations:All LPNs were completed without conversion to open surgery or nephrectomy.The novel technique slightly increased WI time(p < 0.001) and intraoperative blood loss(p = 0.006),while it provided better postoperative affected renal function(p < 0.001) compared with the conventional technique.The total complication rate was 12%.Among the 38 cases where segmental renal artery clamping was performed,7 had to convert to the conventional method.Tumor size and location influenced the number of clamped segmental arteries.Long-term postoperative renal function is still awaited.Conclusions:LPN with segmental artery clamping is safe and feasible in clinical practice.It minimizes the intraoperative WI injury and improves early postoperative affected renal function compared with main renal artery clamping.(C) 2010 European Association of Urology.Published by Elsevier B.V.All rights reserved. | Shao,P.F. | 14 | Can Digital Village Construction Help Upgrade Rural Household Consumption?An Empirical Examination Based on China’s Rural Household Survey Data显示文摘Digital village construction opens a new vista for fulfilling consumption capabilities and optimizing consumption patterns in rural areas.For this research,we used the microdata on rural households from the 2019 China Household Finance Survey(CHFS)to conduct an empirical examination of the impact of digital village construction on the upgrading of rural household consumption and its possible influence mechanisms in the endogenous switching regression(ESR)model.Our research findings can be summarized in three points.First,digital village construction has significantly contributed positive contributions to the improvements and upgrading of rural household consumption.Second,digital village construction can help upgrade rural household consumption by increasing their participation in online shopping and expanding online shopping channels.Third,digital village construction means different things to rural households at different levels of risk exposure,with its facilitation to consumption upgrades in proportion to income risks facing rural households.Our research findings,which came from an extensive,in-depth exploration of the factors influencing rural household consumption,are of practical significance and policy value to the stimulating and fulfilling of consumption potentials among rural households. | Shao Peiyu Liu Hui Wang Yang Liu Changjun | 2023 | Contemporary Social Sciences2023，8，4： | 0 |
| 15 | The bacterial RNA ligase RtcB accelerates the repair process of fragmented rRNA upon releasing the antibiotic stress显示文摘RtcB, a highly conserved RNA ligase, is found in all three domains of life, and demonstrated to be an essential tRNA splicing component in archaea and metazoans. However, the biological functions of RtcB in bacteria, where there is no splicing, remains to be clarified. We first performed bioinformatics analysis which revealed highly conserved structures and presumably conserved functions of RtcB in bacteria. However, its orthologs only occur in ~0.5% of bacterial species across diverse phyla with significant signals of frequent horizontal transfer, highlighting its non-essential role in bacteria. Next, by constructing an rtcBknockout strain, we find that the removal of antibiotic stress induces a significant impact on rtcB expression in wild-type strain,and furthermore the depletion of RtcB(?RtcB strain) delays the recovery process. Our transcriptomic analysis, comprising the3′-end labeling of RNAs, highlights a significant increase in unmapped reads and cleaved rRNAs in the ?RtcB strain, particularly during recovery. Our observations suggest that the conserved RNA ligase RtcB, repairs damaged r RNAs following stress,which potentially saves energy and accelerates recovery of its host.
