2Near-infrared chemiluminescent carbon nanogels for oncology imaging and therapy显示文摘Carbon nanogels(CNGs)with dual ability of reactive oxygen species(ROS)imaging and photodynamic therapy have been designed with selfassembled chemiluminescent carbonized polymer dots(CPDs).With efficient deep-red/near-infrared chemiluminescence(CL)emission and distinctive photodynamic capacity,the H2O2-driven chemiluminescent CNGs are further designed by assembling the polymeric conjugate and CL donors,enabling an in vitro and in vivo ROS bioimaging capability in animal inflammation models and a high-performance therapy for xenograft tumors.Mechanistically,ROS generated in inflammatory sites or tumor microenvironment can trigger the chemically initiated electron exchange luminescence in the chemical reaction of peroxalate and H2O2,enabling in vivo CL imaging.Meanwhile,part of the excited-state electrons will transfer to the ambient H2O or dissolved oxygen and in turn lead to the type I and type II photochemical ROS production of hydroxyl radicals or singlet oxygen,endowing the apoptosis of tumor cells and thus enabling cancer therapy.These results open up a new avenue for the design of multifunctional nanomaterials for bioimaging and antienoplastic agents.Chenglong Shen Tianci Jiang Qing Lou Wenbo Zhao Chaofan Lv Guangsong Zheng Hangrui Liu Pengfei Li Lingling Dai Kaikai Liu Jinhao Zang Feng Wang Lin Dong Songnan Qu Zhe Cheng Chongxin Shan 2022SmartMat2022,3,2:1
3A review of high-intensity focused ultrasound as a novel and non-invasive interventional radiology technique显示文摘High-intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU) is a non-invasive interventional radiology technology, which has been generally accepted in clinical practice for the treatment of benign and malignant tumors. HIFU can cause targeted tissue coagulative necrosis and protein denaturation by thermal or non-thermal effects, guided by diagnostic ultrasound or magnetic resonance imaging, without destruction of the normal adjacent tissue, under sedation or general anesthesia. HIFU has become an important alternative to standard treatments of solid tumors, including surgery, radiation, and medications. 5Nanoagent-based theranostic strategies against human coronaviruses显示文摘The emergence of human coronaviruses(HCoVs),especially the current pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),engender severe threats to public health globally.Despite the outstanding breakthrough of new vaccines and therapeutic medicines in the past years,HCoVs still undergo unpredictable mutations,thus demanding more effective diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.Benefitting from the unique physicochemical properties and multiple nano-bio interactions,nanomaterials hold promising potential to fight against various HCoVs,either by providing sensitive and economic nanosensors for rapid viral detection,or by developing translatable nanovaccines and broad-spectrum nanomedicines for HCoV treatment.Herein,we systemically summarized the recent applications of nanoagents in diagnostics and therapeutics for HCoV-induced diseases,as well as their limitations and perspectives against HCoV variants.We believe this review will promote the design of innovative theranostic nanoagents for the current and future HCoV-caused pandemics.Tao Feng Chaofan Nie Pandi Peng Hui Lu Tengjiao Wang Peng Li Wei Huang 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:0
