| 1 | A multi-institutional retrospective study of hyperthermic plus intravesical chemotherapy versus intravesical chemotherapy treatment alone in intermediate and high risk nonmuscle-invasive bladder cancer显示文摘Objective:To compare the efficacy and safety of hyperthermic intravesical chemotherapy(HIVEC)and intravesical chemotherapy(IVEC)in patients with intermediate and high risk nonmuscle-invasive bladder cancer(NMIBC)after transurethral resection.Methods:We included 560 patients diagnosed with primary or recurrent NMIBC between April 2009 and December 2015 at 1 of 6 tertiary centers.We matched 364 intermediate or high risk cases and divided them into 2 groups:the HIVEC+IVEC group[chemohyperthermia(CHT)composed of 3 consecutive sessions followed by intravesical instillation without hyperthermia]and the IVEC group(intravesical instillation without hyperthermia).The data were recorded in the database.The primary endpoint was 2-year recurrence-free survival(RFS)in all NMIBC patients(n=364),whereas the secondary endpoints were the assessment of radical cystectomy(RC)and 5-year overall survival(OS).Results:There was a significant difference in the 2-year RFS between the two groups in all patients(n=364;HIVEC+IVEC:82.42%vs.IVEC:74.18%,P=0.038).Compared with the IVEC group,the HIVEC+IVEC group had a lower incidence of RC(P=0.0274).However,the 5-year OS was the same between the 2 groups(P=0.1434).Adverse events(AEs)occurred in 32.7%of all patients,but none of the events was serious(grades 3–4).No difference in the incidence or severity of AEs between each treatment modality was observed.Conclusions:This retrospective study showed that HIVEC+IVEC had a higher 2-year RFS and a lower incidence of RC than IVEC therapy in intermediate and high risk NMIBC patients.Both treatments were well-tolerated in a similar manner. | Qiang Ruan Degang Ding Bin Wang Chaohong He Xuequn Ren Zhenhua Feng Zhigang Pang Jin Wang Xiangliang Zhang Hongsheng Tang Jiahong Wang Qingjun He Ziying Lei Quanxing Liao Jiali Luo Shuzhong Cui | 2021 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,1: | 4 |
| 2 | Analysis of Aroma Volatile Compounds in Fuji Apple Using SPME with Different Fiber Coatings显示文摘The aroma volatile compounds in Fuji apple were isolated by solid-phase microextraction( SPME),and detected by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry( GC-MS). The results showed that the optimal retention time of the heating up of capillary columns was 5 min. Of the seven fibers used in this work,DVB/CAR/PDMS was found to be the most suitable to extract the aroma volatile compounds in Fuji apple. A total number of 43 volatile compounds were identified according to their retention time on capillary columns and their mass spectra,including eleven esters,ten alcohols,ten aldehydes,seven alkenes,two anhydrides,one ketone,one phenol and one ether. | 3 | Trace Amounts of Triple-Functional Additives Enable Reversible Aqueous Zinc-Ion Batteries from a Comprehensive Perspective显示文摘Although their cost-effectiveness and intrinsic safety,aqueous zinc-ion batteries suffer from notorious side reactions including hydrogen evolution reaction,Zn corrosion and passivation,and Zn dendrite formation on the anode.Despite numerous strategies to alleviate these side reactions have been demonstrated,they can only provide limited performance improvement from a single aspect.Herein,a triple-functional additive with trace amounts,ammonium hydroxide,was demonstrated to comprehensively protect zinc anodes.The results show that the shift of electrolyte pH from 4.1 to 5.2 lowers the HER potential and encourages the in situ formation of a uniform ZHS-based solid electrolyte interphase on Zn anodes.Moreover,cationic NH^(4+)can preferentially adsorb on the Zn anode surface to shield the“tip effect”and homogenize the electric field.Benefitting from this comprehensive protection,dendrite-free Zn deposition and highly reversible Zn plating/stripping behaviors were realized.Besides,improved electrochemical performances can also be achieved in Zn//MnO_(2)full cells by taking the advantages of this triple-functional additive.This work provides a new strategy for stabilizing Zn anodes from a comprehensive perspective. | Ruwei Chen Wei Zhang Quanbo Huang Chaohong Guan Wei Zong Yuhang Dai Zijuan Du Zhenyu Zhang Jianwei Li Fei Guo Xuan Gao Haobo Dong Jiexin Zhu Xiaohui Wang Guanjie He | 2023 | Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,6: | 2 |
| 4 | VqMYB154 promotes polygene expression and enhances resistance to pathogens in Chinese wild grapevine显示文摘Resveratrol plays a crucial phytoalexin role in the grapevine and is beneficial to human health.However,the molecular mechanism of resveratrol accumulation in the enhancement of disease resistance is unclear.Here,we report that the transcription factor VqMYB154 from Vitis quinquangularis accession Danfeng-2 is strongly expressed under artificial inoculation with Uncinula necator and regulates resveratrol accumulation.Unlike its homolog,VqMYB154 has a pathogen-induced promoter and responds to stimulation by U.necator,Pseudomonas syringae,and other treatments.Yeast one-hybrid and GUS activity assays confirmed that VqMYB154 can activate the stilbene synthase genes VqSTS9,VqSTS32,and VqSTS42 by directly binding to their promoters.Overexpression of VqMYB154 in grape leaves resulted in activation of the stilbene pathway,upregulation of STS genes,and accumulation of stilbenoids.In addition,heterologous overexpression of VqMYB154 in Arabidopsis activated resistance-related genes and resulted in greater programmed cell death and accumulation of reactive oxygen species,which led to resistance against P.syringae.These results suggest that the transcription factor VqMYB154 from V.quinquangularis accession Danfeng-2 participates in the regulatory mechanism that improves the biosynthesis and accumulation of stilbenes and enhances resistance to disease in grapevine. | Changyue Jiang Dan Wang Jie Zhang Yan Xu Chaohong Zhang Jianxia Zhang Xiping Wang Yuejin Wang | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 2 |

| 7 | Preparation, Structure and Performances of Cross-Linked Regenerated Cellulose Fibers显示文摘Cross-linked regenerated cellulose fibers(CRCFs) were prepared by wet spinning firstly and then treated by high temperature curing. Cellulose dissolved in ionic liquid together with wrinkle proofing agent and cross-linking agent was employed as spinning solution. The properties and structure of CRCFs were investigated. Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis show that CRCFs were prepared successfully and the crystal form of the fibers remained the same before and after cross-linking. | 11 | Unraveling the morphological evolution mechanism of solid sulfur species in lithium-sulfur batteries with operando light microscopy显示文摘Solid-liquid phase conversion between various sulfur species in lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries is a fundamental reaction of the sulfur cathode.Disclosing the morphological evolution of solid sulfur species upon cycling is of great significance to achieving high energy densities.However,an in-depth investigation of the internal reaction is still lacking.In this work,the evolution process of solid sulfur species on carbon substrates is systematically studied by using an operando light microscope combined with in situ electrochemical impedance spectra technology.The observation of phenomena such as bulk solid sulfur species can form and dissolve independently of the conductive substrates and the transformation of supercooled liquid sulfur to crystalline sulfur.Based on the phenomena mentioned above,a possible mechanism was proposed in which the dissolution reaction of solid sulfur species is a spatially free reaction that involves isotropic physical dissolution,diffusion of molecules,and finally the electrochemical reaction.Correspondingly,the formation of solid sulfur species tends to be a form of crystallization in a saturated solution rather than electrodeposition,as is commonly believed.Our findings offer new insights into the reaction of sulfur cathodes and provide new opportunities to design advanced sulfur cathodes for Li-S batteries. | Jingqiang Zheng Chaohong Guan Huangxu Li Yangyang Xie Junxian Hu Kai Zhang Bo Hong Yanqing Lai Jie Li Zhian Zhang | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,10: | 1 |

| 19 | Spatial variability and driving factors of soil multifunctionality in drylands of China显示文摘Drylands are highly vulnerable to climate change and human activities.The drylands of China account for approximately 10.8%of global drylands,and China is the country most severely affected by aridity in Asia.Therefore,studying the spatial variation characteristics in soil multifunctionality(SMF)and investigating the driving factors are critical for elucidating and managing the functions of dryland ecosystems in China.Based on the environmental factors(mean annual precipitation(MAP),mean annual temperature(MAT),solar radiation(Srad),soil acidity(pH),enhanced vegetation index(EVI),and cation exchange capacity(CEC))and aridity from the“dataset of soil properties for land surface modeling over China”,we used non-linear regression,ordinary least square(OLS)regression,structural equation model(SEM),and other analytical methods to investigate the relationships of SMF with environmental factors across different aridity levels in China.SMF in different dryland regions varied significantly and showed a patchy distribution,with SMF index values ranging from–1.21 to 2.42.Regions with SMF index values from–0.20 to 0.51 accounting for 63.0%of dryland area in China.OLS regression results revealed that environmental factors like MAP,MAT,Srad,pH,EVI,and CEC were significantly related to SMF(P<0.05).MAP and MAT were correlated to SMF at the whole aridity level(P<0.05).SEM results showed that the driving factors of SMF differed depending on the aridity level.Soil pH was the strongest driving factor of SMF when the aridity was less than 0.80(P<0.001).Both soil CEC and EVI had a positive effect on SMF when aridity was greater than 0.80(P<0.01),with soil CEC being the strongest driving factor.The importance ranking revealed that the relative importance contribution of soil pH to SMF was greatest when aridity was less than 0.80(66.9%).When aridity was set to greater than 0.80,the relative importance contributions of CEC and EVI to SMF increased(45.1%and 31.9%,respectively).Our findings indicated that SMF had high spatial heterogeneity in drylands of China.The aridity threshold controlled the impact of environmental factors on SMF. | ZHANG Shihang CHEN Yusen LU Yongxing GUO Hao GUO Xing LIU Chaohong ZHOU Xiaobing ZHANG Yuanming | 2022 | Regional Sustainability2022,3,3: | 0 |
| 20 | Analysis of the ecological environment around 10000 a BP in Zhaitang area,Beijing:A case study of the Donghulin Site显示文摘The transition from Paleolithic to Neolithic around 10000 a BP was a significant event in human history. We have analyzed the paleoenvironment in the Zhaitang area (Beijing) based on samples from an early Neolithic site at Donghulin. This site is considered to demonstrate the Paleolithic-Neolithic transition in this area. The site yielded burials with several human skeletons, known as 'Donghulin man'. We conducted a geomorphological and quaternary geological investigation in the Donghulin area, and also analyzed sediments and pollen, enabling us to discuss the living environment of the local people. Donghulin man lived mainly from 11100-9600 cal a BP; a period of warming following the Younger Dryas. The climate was good, the land was covered by dry temperate grassland, and later, wet temperate meadow steppe. 'Donghulin man' usually inhabited the floodplain; this was flat, warm, and wet, with abundant plants and animals for a favorable living environment.
