1Wettability and Bonding between Ni and Ti(C,N)with Multiple Carbide Additions显示文摘The wettability and bonding in Ni/Ti(C, N) systems with multiple carbide additions were studied by sessile drop technique and vacuum brazing technique, respectively. The phase characterizations of substrates and fracture surfaces were conducted by XRD. The microstructures at metal/ceramic interfaces and fracture surfaces were observed via SEM in back scattered mode and second electron mode, respectively. Furthermore, an X-ray energy-dispersive spectrometer (EDS) attached to SEM was used to study the elements diffusion in interfacial regions. The results reveal that diffusion and dissolution mechanism controlled reactive wetting takes place in the system in high temperature wetting. Results also show that the contact angles decrease with multiple carbide additions, and the effect of multiple carbide additions is stronger than that of single additions. The contact angle reaches the lowest value in the lowest TiC content case. The enhancement of the wettability is due to alloying procedure during high temperature wetting when metallic atoms diffuse into Ni phase, which decreases the interfacial energy of Ni/Ti(C, N) systems. 2Preparation and Mechanical Properties of-SiC Nanoparticle Reinforced Aluminum Matrix Composite by a Multi-step Powder Metallurgy Process显示文摘β-SiC nanoparticle reinforced Al matrix(nano-SiCp/Al) composite was prepared by a multi- step powder metallurgy strategy including presureless sintering, hot compacting process and hot extrusion. The microstructures of the as-prepared composites were observed by scanning electronic microscopy(SEM), and the mechanical properties were characterized by tensile strength measurement and Brinell hardness test. The experimental results revealed that the tensile strength of the composite with the addition of 5wt%-SiC nanoprticles could be increased to 215 MPa, increasing by 110% compared with pure Al matrix. Comparative experiments reflected that the-SiC nanoprticles showed significant reinforcement effect than traditional-SiC micro-sized particles. 3β-Elemene-loaded polymeric micelles intensify anti-carcinoma efficacy and alleviate side effects显示文摘β-Elemene is a volatile oil used for the treatment of cancer,but poor solubility,low bioavailability,and various adverse reactions limit its application.For amelio rating risks of the venous toxicity ofβ-elemene,intravenously injectable micelle ofβ-elemene was prepared using the thin-film hydration method.The results pointed out the micelles were uniformly spherical with about 20.96±0.1966 nm in average diameter and exhibited high entrapment efficiency(99.02%±0.88%).As revealed by drug release studies in vitro,β-elemene micelles had sustained drug release.Compared with freeβ-elemene,the micelles increased the drug cellular uptake and enhanced the anti-tumor effect in vitro through retarding cell cycle and inducing apoptosis.Meanwhile,the elevated se rum stability o fβ-elemene micelles implied less drug leakage and reduced toxicity.The wound healing and tube formation assay in vitro demonstrated the anti-metastasis and anti-angiogenesis effects ofβ-elemene micelles.Moreover,the pharmacokinetics study showed the AUC and T1/2 ofβ-elemene in micelle group were 1.79 and 1.62 times of that in free fi-elemene group,suggesting the circulation time ofβ-elemene in the blood had been prolonged.In addition,β-elemene micelles showed a favorable antitumor response compared with theβ-elemene solution on C26 colon cance r-bearing mice model.Local irritation study investigated in rabbits indicated that theβ-elemene micelles strikingly mitigated the irritation to the injection sites compared with freeβ-elemene.These results proved that the micelle could be a good candidate as an auspicious drug delivery system ofβ-elemene for the prospective clinical treatment of carcinoma.Qiaoqiao Hu Lan Bai Zejiang Zhu Zhengying Su Peng Bai Minghai Tang Caixia Dou Junfeng Yan Rongsheng Tong Wuyu Zhang Lijuan Chen Lulu Cai 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,3:2
4In-situ emb e dding zeolitic imidazolate framework derived Co–N–C bifunctional catalysts in carbon nanotube networks for flexible Zn–air batteries显示文摘Recently, the development of high-performance bifunctional oxygen catalysts integrated with flexible conductive scaffolds f or rechargeable metal-air batteries has attracted considerable interest, driving by fastgrowing wearable electronics. Herein, we report a flexible bifunctional oxygen catalyst thin film consisting of Co–N–C bifunctional catalysts embedding in carbon nanotube(CNT) networks. The catalyst is readily prepared by pyrolysis of cobalt-based zeolitic imidazolate frameworks(ZIF-67) that are in-situ synthesized in CNT networks. Such catalyst film demonstrates very high catalytic activities for oxygen reduction(onset potential: 0.91 V, and half-wave potential: 0.87 V vs. RHE) and oxygen evolution(10 m Acm^-2 at 1.58 V) reactions, high methanol tolerance property, and long-term stability(97% current retention). Moreover, our integrated catalyst film shows very good structure flexibility and robustness. Based on the obtained film air electrodes, flexible Zn–air batteries demonstrate low charging and discharging overpotentials(0.82 V at 1 m A cm^-1) and excellent structure stability in the bending tests. 7Manufacturable pattern collage along a boundary显示文摘Recent years have shown rapid development of digital fabrication techniques, making manufacturing individual models reachable for ordinary users. Thus,tools for designing customized objects in a user-friendly way are in high demand. In this paper, we tackle the problem of generating a collage of patterns along a given boundary, aimed at digital fabrication. We represent the packing space by a pipe-like closed shape along the boundary and use ellipses as packing elements for computing an initial layout of the patterns. Then we search for the best matching pattern for each ellipse and construct the initial pattern collage in an automatic manner. To facilitate editing the collage, we provide interactive operations which allow the user to adjust the layout at the coarse level. The patterns are fine-tuned based on a spring–mass system after each interaction step. After this interactive process, the collage result is further optimized to enforce connectivity. Finally, we perform structural analysis on the collage and enhance its stability, so that the result can be fabricated. 10R11 peptides can promote the molecular imaging of spherical nucleic acids for bladder cancer margin identification显示文摘One of the critical problems in bladder cancer(BC)management is the local recurrence of disease.However,achieving the accurate delineation of tumor margins intraoperatively remains extremely difficult due to the lack of effective tumor margin recognition technology.Herein,survivin molecular beacon(MB)and R11 peptide-linked spherical nucleic acids(SNAs)were synthesized as nanoprobes(AuNP-MB@R11)for sensitive detection of BC margins.Physicochemical properties proved that R11 peptides and survivin MB were successfully loaded onto the surface of SNAs.AuNP-MB@R11 had good stability against nuclease activity and high sensitivity and specificity to detect survivin single strand DNA(ssDNA)in vitro.According to cytology,R11 peptides could increase the BC targeting ability and membrane penetrability of SNAs.Notably,R11 peptides significantly promoted the disintegration of lysosomes and the release of SNAs to enhance fluorescence imaging quality.Further RNA sequencing proved that some genes and pathways related to endocytosis and lysosomes were significantly regulated,such as AGPAT5,GPD1L,and GRB2.In orthotopic BC models and a clinical sample from a patient with BC,AuNP-MB@R11 showed a more legible cancerous fluorescence margin and offered remarkably improved detection compared to those achieved by SNAs.R11 peptide-linked SNAs present promising potential to identify BC margin,which may help to improve the R0 resection rate in surgery and improve patients’quality of life.Minghai Ma Pu Zhang Xiao Liang Daxiang Cui Qiuya Shao Haibao Zhang Mengzhao Zhang Tao Yang Lu Wang Nan Zhang Minxuan Jing Lu Zhang Weichao Dan Rundong Song Xi Liu Jiatao Hao Yuhang Chen Lijiang Gu Lei Wang Jinhai Fan 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:1

18HDAC I/IIb selective inhibitor Purinostat Mesylate combined with GLS1 inhibition effectively eliminates CML stem cells显示文摘Purinostat Mesylate(PM)is a novel highly selective and active HDAC I/IIb inhibitor,and the injectable formulation of PM(PMF)based on the compound prescription containing cyclodextrin completely can overcome PM’s poor solubility and improves its stability and pharmacokinetic properties.Here,we showed that PM effectively repressed the survival of Ph+leukemia cells and CD34+leukemia cells from CML patients in vitro.In vivo studies demonstrated that PMF significantly prevented BCR-ABL(T315I)induced CML progression by restraining leukemia stem cells(LSCs),which are insensitive to chemotherapy and responsible for CML relapse.Mechanism studies revealed that targeting HDAC I/IIb repressed several important factors for LSCs survival including c-Myc,β-Catenin,E2f,Ezh2,Alox5,and mTOR,as well as interrupted some critical biologic processes.Additionally,PMF increased glutamate metabolism in LSCs by increasing GLS1.The combination of PMF and glutaminase inhibitor BPTES synergistically eradicated LSCs by altering multiple key proteins and signaling pathways which are critical for LSC survival and self-renewal.Overall,our findings represent a new therapeutic strategy for eliminating LSCs by targeting HDAC I/IIb and glutaminolysis,which potentially provides a guidance for PMF clinical trials in the future for TKI resistance CML patients.Qiang Qiu Linyu yang Yunyu Feng Zejiang Zhu Ning Li Li Zheng Yuanyuan Sun Cong Pan Huandi Qiu Xue Cui Wei He Fang Wang Yuyao Yi Minghai Tang Zhuang Yang Yunfan Yang Zhihui Li Lijuan Chen Yiguo Hu 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,3:1
19Melphalan-loaded methoxy poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(D,L-lactide)copolymer nanomicelles in the treatment of multiple myeloma显示文摘Multiple myeloma(MM)is the second most common hematological tumor characterized by the proliferation of monoclonal plasma cells.Melphalan(MEL)is commonly used in the treatment of MM and is especially essential for patients undergoing autologous stem cell transplantation(ASCT).Although many drugs for MM have been developed in recent years,chemotherapy followed by ASCT remains the optimal option.Melphalan,the backbone of the conditioning regimen,brings severe toxicities at a high dose.Nanodrug delivery systems enable drugs to be highly effective and have low toxicity.In this study,methoxy poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(D,L-lactide)copolymer(MPEG-PDLLA)was chosen to encapsulate melphalan,and the characteristics,effectiveness,and safety of MEL/MPEG-PDLLA in vitro and in vivo were investigated.MEL/MPEG-PDLLA showed slow release and was easily engulfed by MM cells despite a result of the antitumor assay comparable to that of free melphalan in vitro.The in vivo results showed that MEL/MPEG-PDLLA could significantly alleviate tumor burden and prolong survival time without increasing the toxicity to vital organs.In addition,MEL/MPEG-PDLLA could significantly reduce the damage to the intestinal mucosa caused by melphalan.In conclusion,MEL/MPEG-PDLLA shows improved antitumor activity and has the potential to alleviate pains of MM patients undergoing ASCT.Yingying Chen Qiang Zeng Bingyang Chu Zhigang Liu Xue Wei Mengran Chen Peipei Yang Minghai Tang Ting Niu Yongqian Jia Ying Qu Zhiyong Qian 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,9:0
20Fabrication of Ce-ReS_(2)by Molten Salt for Electrochemical Hydrogen Evolution显示文摘Renewable and economical generation of hydrogen via electrochemical methods shows great potential in addressing the energy crisis.In this study,an emerging molten salt method was adopted for the synthesis of a cerium-modifi ed rhenium disulfi de nanosheet for electrical hydrogen evolution reactions.The prepared 1%Ce-doped rhenium disulfi de(ReS_(2))sample showed promoted hydrogen evolution performance in both acid and alkaline electrolytes compared to bare ReS_(2).Generating of abundant defects in ReS_(2)exposed more reaction active sites.Moreover,adding cerium accelerated the hydrogen evolution dynamics.Hopefully,this work will off er new insight into developing ReS_(2)-based electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reactions.Ran Chen Minghai Ma Yi Luo Liping Qian Shunli Wan Shengyou Xu Xinsong She 2022Transactions of Tianjin University2022,28,6:0
