| 2 | The Effects of Cholecystojejunostomy and Biliary Drainage on Biliary Motor显示文摘Summary: Simulating physiological neuronal and hormonal conditions during digestive and interdigestive periods, the study identified the changes of the motility of biliary system including bile duct and sphincter of Oddi (SO) before and after cholecystojejunostomy. Thirty-five rabbits were divided into five groups randomly. The experimental groups received the venous injection of CCK 10 ng/kg, erythromycin 10 mg/kg, atropine 3 μg/kg and L-NAME 10 mg/kg respectively. Each rabbit underwent manometry through introducing a three-lumen catheter via the papilla retrogradely, using the low-compliance papillary infusion system. Then the gallbladder and the upper segment of the jejunum was anastomosed and the manometric procedures repeated after one week. SO basal pressure was increased, contraction amplitude decreased, contraction time shortened after cholecystojejunostomy. L-NAME, CCK and erythromycin could all excite SO. L-NAME could increase basal pressure and contraction amplitude, CCK increase basal pressure contraction amplitude and frequency, and erythromycin increase contraction amplitude, respectively. But comparing with that before cholecystojejunostomy, the increasing extent was decreased. The tensional and spontaneous contractions of the SO were under the control of the neural and hormonal mechanism. The anastomosis of gallbladder and jejunum and the drainage of bile made the tensional contraction stronger, but the spontaneous contraction weakened after the operation due to the decreases of the sensitivity of SO to hormonal factors. | 6 | Promotional effect of silica on the combustion of nano-sized aluminum powder in carbon dioxide显示文摘This paper presents how the combustion performance of nano-sized aluminum(nAl)powder in carbon dioxide are affected by silica. The ignition and combustion performance of nAl powder with silica addition were studied by a high-temperature tube furnace. An s-type thermocouple and a high-speed motion acquisition instrument were performed to evaluate the ignition temperature, maximum combustion temperature, maximum change of rate of temperature, and combustion propagation speed. The combustion efficiency and combustion products were measured and analyzed by a gas-volumetric method and an X-ray diffraction. The results show that silica added into nAl powder can enhance its maximum combustion temperature and maximum change of rate of temperature, while its ignition temperature increases slightly. The nAl powders with addition of 6.00 wt.% and 12.00 wt.% silica present high combustion propagation speeds, especially for the latter, it has high combustion efficiency. | 9 | Potential indicators predict progress after surgical resection of gastrointestinal stromal tumors显示文摘In order to find out the potential indicators predicting prognosis of malignant gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs)after surgical resection,we collected clinical records of 80 patients with malignant GISTs.Tumor location,size,mitotic index,necrosis were compared with the prognosis of malignant GISTs by Kaplan-Meier method and log-rank test.After a median follow-up of 844 days(52–2145),we found that as National Institutes of Health suggested,tumors with intermediate risk had more favorable prognosis than that with high risk.Their 3-year survival rate were 65.3% and 41.3%,respectively(P<0.001).Moreover,tumor size and mitotic index were associated with free survival.The 3-year survival rate for patients with tumor size≤10 cm and>10 cm were 62.3% and 41.8%,respectively(P=0.002),Tumors with mitotic index≤5/50 HPF had a higher 3-year survival rate than tumors with mitotic index>5/50 HPF(67.1% versus 40.7%,P=0.005).The presence of necrosis was directly related to the malignant behavior.The 3-year survival rate for presence and absence necrosis were 50.8% and 64.8%(P=0.008).From the present study,we can conclude that besides tumors size and mitotic index,tumor location and necrosis also influence on the long-term survival of patient with malignant GISTs after surgical resection. | Qinggang Hu Shanglong Liu Jianwei Jiang Chen Zhang Xiaowei Liu Qichang Zheng | 2012 | Frontiers of Medicine2012,6,3: | 1 |
