| 1 | Epidemiology of urolithiasis in Asia显示文摘In Asia,about 1%-19.1% of the population suffer fromurolithiasis.However,due to variations in socio-economic status and geographic locations,the prevalence and incidence have changed in different countries or regions over the years.The research for risk factors of urinary tract stones is of predominant importance.In this review,we find the prevalence of urolithiasis is 5%-19.1% in West Asia,Southeast Asia,South Asia,aswellas somedevelopedcountries(SouthKorea and Japan),whereas,it is only 1%e8%inmost part of East Asia and North Asia.The recurrence rate ranges from 21% to 53% after 3e5 years.Calciumoxalate(75%-90%)is themost frequent component of calculi,followed by uric acid(5%-20%),calciumphosphate(6%-13%),struvite(2%-15%),apatite(1%)and cystine(0.5%-1%).The incidence of urolithiasis reaches its peak in population agedover 30 years.Males aremore likely to suffer fromurinary calculi.Because of different dietary habits or genetic background,differences of prevalence among races or nationalities also exist.Geneticmutation of specific locus may contribute to the formation of different kinds of calculi.Dietary habits(westernized dietary habits and less fluid intake),as well as climatic factors(hot temperature andmany hours of exposure to sunshine)play a crucial role in the development of stones.Other diseases,especially metabolic syndrome,may also contribute to urinary tract stones. | Yu Liu Yuntian Chen Banghua Liao Deyi Luo Kunjie Wang Hong Li Guohua Zeng | 2018 | Asian Journal of Urology2018,5,4: | 24 |

| 3 | Comparative transcriptome analysis uncovers the regulatory functions of long noncoding RNAs in fruit development and color changes of Fragaria pentaphylla显示文摘To investigate the molecular mechanism underlying fruit development and color change,comparative transcriptome analysis was employed to generate transcriptome profiles of two typical wild varieties of Fragaria pentaphylla at three fruit developmental stages(green fruit stage,turning stage,and ripe fruit stage).We identified 25,699 long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)derived from 25,107 loci in the F.pentaphylla fruit transcriptome,which showed distinct stage-and genotype-specific expression patterns.Time course analysis detected a large number of differentially expressed protein-coding genes and lncRNAs associated with fruit development and ripening in both of the F.pentaphylla varieties.The target genes downregulated in the late stages were enriched in terms of photosynthesis and cell wall organization or biogenesis,suggesting that lncRNAs may act as negative regulators to suppress photosynthesis and cell wall organization or biogenesis during fruit development and ripening of F.pentaphylla.Pairwise comparisons of two varieties at three developmental stages identified 365 differentially expressed lncRNAs in total.Functional annotation of target genes suggested that lncRNAs in F.pentaphylla may play roles in fruit color formation by regulating the expression of structural genes or regulatory factors.Construction of the regulatory network further revealed that the low expression of Fra a and CHS may be the main cause of colorless fruit in F.pentaphylla. | Lijun Bai Qing Chen Leiyu Jiang Yuanxiu Lin Yuntian Ye Peng Liu Xiaorong Wang Haoru Tang | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 5 |

| 5 | Effect of texture on deformation behavior of heterogeneous Mg-13Gd alloy with strength-ductility synergy显示文摘Heterostructure metals as a new class of materials can effectively break the traditional strength–ductility trade-off dilemma. In this study, the extruded sheet with the small extrusion ratio(ER) of 3.9(ER3.9)presented a heterogeneous lamella structure(HLS) and texture, where the fine dynamical recrystallized(DRXed) grains formed a random texture and coarse un-DRXed grains exhibited a strong basal texture.The ER3.9 sample presented an excellent combination of strength and ductility. The texture strengthening in coarse grains and hetero-deformation induced(HDI) strengthening contributed to the enhanced strength of the ER3.9 sample besides grain refinement. The improving ductility mainly stems from the weakened texture in fine grains. Interestingly, in coarse grains, the strong basal texture, the occurrence of cross slip, low stacking fault energy(SFE), and dislocation pinned by precipitates weaken the HDI hardening effect. While the traditional dislocation hardening mainly generated by fine grains dominates overall strain hardening. Meanwhile, the activation of non-basal slips, especially pyramidal slip,and the generation of cross slips in fine grains benefit for coordinating plastic deformation. The ability for coordinate plastic deformation in fine grains is higher than that of coarse grains, which was confirmed by the digital image correlation technology. | 6 | Hidden-symmetry-enforced nexus points of nodal lines in layer-stacked dielectric photonic crystals显示文摘It was recently demonstrated that the connectivities of bands emerging from zero frequency in dielectric photonic crystals are distinct from their electronic counterparts with the same space groups.We discover that in an AB-layerstacked photonic crystal composed of anisotropic dielectrics,the unique photonic band connectivity leads to a new kind of symmetry-enforced triply degenerate points at the nexuses of two nodal rings and a Kramers-like nodal line.The emergence and intersection of the line nodes are guaranteed by a generalized 1/4-period screw rotation symmetry of Maxwell’s equations.The bands with a constant kz and iso-frequency surfaces near a nexus point both disperse as a spin-1 Dirac-like cone,giving rise to exotic transport features of light at the nexus point.We show that spin-1 conical diffraction occurs at the nexus point,which can be used to manipulate the charges of optical vortices.Our work reveals that Maxwell’s equations can have hidden symmetries induced by the fractional periodicity of the material tensor components and hence paves the way to finding novel topological nodal structures unique to photonic systems. | Zhongfei Xiong Ruo-Yang Zhang Rui Yu C.T.Chan Yuntian Chen | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1: | 3 |

| 13 | Synthetic well logs generation via Recurrent Neural Networks显示文摘To supplement missing logging information without increasing economic cost, a machine learning method to generate synthetic well logs from the existing log data was presented, and the experimental verification and application effect analysis were carried out. Since the traditional Fully Connected Neural Network(FCNN) is incapable of preserving spatial dependency, the Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM) network, which is a kind of Recurrent Neural Network(RNN), was utilized to establish a method for log reconstruction. By this method, synthetic logs can be generated from series of input log data with consideration of variation trend and context information with depth. Besides, a cascaded LSTM was proposed by combining the standard LSTM with a cascade system.
