1Anisotropic coding metamaterials and their powerful manipulation of differently polarized terahertz waves显示文摘Metamaterials based on effective media can be used to produce a number of unusual physical properties(for example,negative refraction and invisibility cloaking)because they can be tailored with effective medium parameters that do not occur in nature.Recently,the use of coding metamaterials has been suggested for the control of electromagnetic waves through the design of coding sequences using digital elements‘0’and‘1,'which possess opposite phase responses.Here we propose the concept of an anisotropic coding metamaterial in which the coding behaviors in different directions are dependent on the polarization status of the electromagnetic waves.We experimentally demonstrate an ultrathin and flexible polarization-controlled anisotropic coding metasurface that functions in the terahertz regime using specially designed coding elements.By encoding the elements with elaborately designed coding sequences(both 1-bit and 2-bit sequences),the x-and y-polarized waves can be anomalously reflected or independently diffused in three dimensions.The simulated far-field scattering patterns and near-field distributions are presented to illustrate the dual-functional performance of the encoded metasurface,and the results are consistent with the measured results.We further demonstrate the ability of the anisotropic coding metasurfaces to generate a beam splitter and realize simultaneous anomalous reflections and polarization conversions,thus providing powerful control of differently polarized electromagnetic waves.The proposed method enables versatile beam behaviors under orthogonal polarizations using a single metasurface and has the potential for use in the development of interesting terahertz devices.Shuo Liu Tie Jun Cui Quan Xu Di Bao Liangliang Du Xiang Wan Wen Xuan Tang Chunmei Ouyang Xiao Yang Zhou Hao Yuan Hui Feng Ma Wei Xiang Jiang Jiaguang Han Weili Zhang Qiang Cheng 2016Light(Science & Applications)2016,5,1:36
2Corrosion Behavior of Mg-Zn-Y Alloy with Long-period Stacking Ordered Structures显示文摘Mg-Zn-Y alloys with long-period stacking ordered structures were prepared by an ingot casting method. The corrosion performance of Mg-Zn-Y alloys was studied by combining gas-collecting test, immersion test and electrochemical measurements in order to determine the corrosion rate and mechanism of the alloys. The results showed that the volume fraction of Mg(12)YZn phase increased and the shape of the Mg(12)YZn phase changed from discontinuous to continuous net-like with increasing Zn and Y content. The corrosion rate of the alloys greatly depended on the distribution and volume fraction of the Mg(12)YZn phase. Corrosion products appeared at the junction of Mg phase and Mg(12)YZn phase, indicating that the Mg(12)YZn phase accelerated galvanic corrosion of Mg matrix. 3MiR-30a Positively Regulates the Inflammatory Response of Microglia in Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis显示文摘Multiple sclerosis(MS) is a classical inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system(CNS). Microglia are the main resident immune cells in the CNS and are closely associated with the pathogenesis of MS.In the present study, we found that mi R-30 a was highly expressed in jellyfish-like microglia in chronic active lesions of MS patients, as well as in the microglia of mice with experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE) at the chronic phase. In vitro, the conditioned supernatant of mouse microglia overexpressing miR-30 a promoted the apoptosis of oligodendrocyte precursor cells(OPCs), and inhibited OPC differentiation. In vivo, overexpressing miR-30 a in transplanted microglia exacerbated the progression of EAE.Overexpression and knock-down experiments in primary cultured mouse microglia showed that mi R-30 a increased the expression of IL-1 b and i NOS, which are pro-inflammatory, while inhibiting the expression of Ym-1 and CD206.Mechanistically, mi R-30 a inhibited the expression of Ppargc1 b, which is the co-activator of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma, resulting in pro-inflammatory effects. 6Microstructure and corrosion behavior of Mg-Zn-Y-Al alloys with long-period stacking ordered structures显示文摘Mg97−xZn1Y2Alx alloys with long-period stacking ordered(LPSO)structures were prepared by conventional casting method.The optical microscopy(OM),X-ray diffraction(XRD)and the scanning electron microscope(SEM)equipped with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS)were used to analyze the microstructure of the alloys with different compositions.Immersion test and electrochemical measurement were used to evaluate the corrosion behavior of the alloys at room temperature,and the corrosive medium is 3.5%NaCl aqueous solution.The results showed that,with the increasing aluminum(Al)addition,exceptα-Mg and LPSO phases,new phases also emerged on the grain boundaries.At the same time,the zigzag part of LPSO phases disappeared,and the boundaries between LPSO phases andα-Mg became smooth.Furthermore,the addition of Al to Mg-Zn-Y alloys could hinder the activity of cathodic hydrogen evolution reaction and improve the uniformity and compactness of the protective surface film,thus,enhanced the corrosion resistance of Mg-Zn-Y alloys.Dan Wang Jinshan Zhang Jidong Xu Zilong Zhao Weili Cheng Chunxiang Xu 2014Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2014,2,1:6
7Hot deformation behavior and workability characteristic of a fine-grained Mg–8Sn–2Zn–2Al alloy with processing map显示文摘The hot deformation behavior of a fine-grained Mg–8 Sn–2 Zn–2 Al(TZA822, in wt%) alloy was investigated in the temperature range of 150–350°C and the strain rate of 0.01–10 s^-1 employing thermomechanical simulator. In most of the cases, the material showed typical dynamic recrystallization(DRX) features i.e., a signal peak value followed by a gradual decrease or to reach a steady state. The work hardening rate was found to increase with decreasing temperature and increasing strain rate, while strain rates had great effects on work hardening behavior. Meanwhile, the constitutive analysis indicated that cross-slip of dislocations was likely to be the dominant deformation mechanism. In addition, the processing map at the strain of 0.1–0.7 showed two stability domains with high power dissipation efficiencies and the optimum hot working parameters for the studied alloy was determined to be 350°C/0.01 s^-1 and 350°C/10 s^-1, at which continuous DRX(CDRX) and discontinuous DRX(DDRX) as main softening mechanism. 9Shikimic Acid Promotes Oligodendrocyte Precursor Cell Differentiation and Accelerates Remyelination in Mice显示文摘The obstacle to successful remyelination in demyelinating diseases, such as multiple sclerosis, mainly lies in the inability of oligodendrocyte precursor cells(OPCs) to differentiate, since OPCs and oligodendrocytelineage cells that are unable to fully differentiate are found in the areas of demyelination. Thus, promoting the differentiation of OPCs is vital for the treatment of demyelinating diseases. Shikimic acid(SA) is mainly derived from star anise, and is reported to have antiinfluenza, anti-oxidation, and anti-tumor effects. In the present study, we found that SA significantly promoted the differentiation of cultured rat OPCs without affecting their proliferation and apoptosis. In mice, SA exerted therapeutic effects on experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE), such as alleviating clinical EAE scores, inhibiting inflammation, and reducing demyelination in the CNS. SA also promoted the differentiation of OPCs as well as their remyelination after lysolecithin-induced demyelination.Furthermore, we showed that the promotion effect of SA on OPC differentiation was associated with the up-regulation of phosphorylated m TOR. 10Cryo-self-assembled silk fibroin sponge as a biodegradable platform for enzyme-responsive delivery of exosomes显示文摘Although advances in protein assembly preparation have provided a new platform for drug delivery during tissue engineering,achieving long-term controlled exosome delivery remains a significant challenge.Diffusion-dominated exosome release using protein hydrogels results in burst release of exosomes.Here,a fibroin-based cryo-sponge was developed to provide controlled exosome release.Fibroin chains can self-assemble into silk I structures under ice-cold conditions when annealed above the glass transition temperature.Exosome release is enzyme-responsive,with rates primarily determined by enzymatic degradation of the scaffolds.In vivo experiments have demonstrated that exosomes remain in undigested sponge material for two months,superior to their retention in fibrin glue,a commonly used biomaterial in clinical practice.Fibroin cryo-sponges were implanted subcutaneously in nude mice.The exosome-containing sponge group exhibited better neovascularization and tissue ingrowth effects,demonstrating the efficacy of this exosome-encapsulating strategy by realizing sustained release and maintaining exosome bioactivity.These silk fibroin cryo-sponges containing exosomes provide a new platform for future studies of exosome therapy.Muyang Sun Qi Li Huilei Yu Jin Cheng Nier Wu Weili Shi Fengyuan Zhao Zhenxing Shao Qingyang Meng Haifeng Chen Xiaoqing Hu Yingfang Ao 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,2:4
11Effects of Ti addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-Zn-Zr-Ca alloys显示文摘The effects of Ti additions(0,0.4,0.6,0.8,1.0,1.2 wt.%)on the microstructure and mechanical properties of as-cast and aging Mg-0.4%Zn-1.0%Zr-1.5%Ca(wt.%)alloys were investigated.The results indicated that minor Ti can effectively refine grains,while excessive Ti addition resulted in the grain coarsening.When the content of Ti was 0.8 wt.%,the as-cast alloy exhibited the finest grain size of 39μm which contributed to the optimal mechanical properties with Brinell hardness of 57.9 HB,ultimate tensile strength of 145 MPa and elongation of 3.2%.After T6 heat treatment,the continuous net-like Mg_(2)Ca and Mg_(6)Zn_(3)Ca_(2)phases changed to uniform massive T phases(ternary Mg-Zn-Ca phases)and dispersive halo-like precipitates(Mg_(2)Ca and Mg_(6)Zn_(3)Ca_(2)phases).The ultimate tensile strengths of the alloy at room temperature(RT),175℃and 200℃were correspondingly improved to 182 MPa,169 MPa and 141 MPa,respectively.Jingai Chen Yan Sun Jinshan Zhang Weili Cheng Xiaofeng Niu Chunxiang Xu 2015Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2015,3,2:4

13The cost of obsessive- compulsive disorder (OCD) in China: a multi- center cross- sectional survey based on hospitals显示文摘Background Obsessive-compulsive disorder(OCD)is considered a very debilitating disorder with severe loss of quality of life and income.Aims This study estimates the quality of life and economic consequences of OCD in China.Methods The research team interviewed 639 patients with OCD in 13 hospitals in 12 cities in China.The direct method was used to get the direct cost of OCD.Indirect costs associated with OCD were estimated using the human capital approach.Linear regression analysis was conducted for quality of life and generalised linear model analysis was conducted for total cost.Sensitivity analysis was used to analyse the uncertainty of total cost.Results The mean quality of life score for OCD was 52.78(20.46).The annual total cost of OCD per capita was 24503.78(95%CI:22621.53 to 26386.03)renminbi(RMB)(US$3465.88(95%CI:US$3199.65 to US$3732.11)).The annual cost of OCD in China was estimated to be 37.74 billion(95%CI:34.95 billion to 40.53 billion)RMB(equal to US$5.34 billion(95%CI:US$4.94 billion to US$5.73 billion)).Sensitivity analysis showed that the total annual cost of OCD in China was between 23.15 billion RMB(US$3.27 billion)and 370.00 billion RMB(US$52.33 billion).Worse social function status,more psychiatric symptoms and higher Yale Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale(Y-BOCS)score were associated with worse quality of life.The numbers of clinic visits and hospitalisations,socioeconomic status,education,Y-BOCS scores and age were found to be significantly associated with total cost.Conclusions OCD is associated with low quality of life and high costs in China.The findings call for concerted efforts to improve services for patients with OCD.Improvements may include early detection and diagnosis,the provision of evidence-based treatments and relapse prevention strategies.Weili Yang Zhen Tang Xijin Wang Xiancang Ma Yuqi Cheng Bin Wang Ping Sun Wenxin Tang Jia Luo Changhong Wang Ping Li Guiyun Xu Jun Yan Vlasios Brakoulias Zhen Wang 2021General Psychiatry2021,34,6:3
14Effects of Ce addition on microstructure, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of as-cast AZ80 magnesium alloy显示文摘In this study, Ce was introduced into the AZ80 alloy and the effects of Ce addition on the microstructure, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the as-cast AZ80 magnesium alloy were investigated. The results show that the addition of Ce into the AZ80 alloy can not only refine the microstructure, but also result in the formation of the needle-like Al4Ce phase. These tiny Al4Ce phases are homogeneously distributed at grain boundaries and within grains. An appropriate Ce addition can also change the β-Mg17Al12 phase at the grain boundaries from continuous network to small island-like. At the same time, with the increase of Ce content from 0 to 2.0wt.%, the macro-hardness of the as-cast alloy is enhanced linearly, while impact toughness, tensile strength and elongation all firstly increase and then decrease. The AZ80 alloy containing 1.0wt.% Ce exhibits the optimal properties. Its macro-hardness, impact toughness, tensile strength and elongation are 61.90 HB, 15.50 J·cm-2, 171.80 MPa and 3.35%, increase by 9.95%, 63%, 13.3% and 36.7%, respectively compared with the base alloy. 17Thermal analysis of high speed permanent magnetic generator显示文摘High-speed permanent magnetic generators (HSPMG) are common and important power generation equipments used in distributed generation systems. A 100 kW level HSPMG is investigated in this paper, and it is fluid-thermal coupling analyzed. The transient 2D electromagnetic field while machine is under rated operating is analyzed by using the time-stepping FEM, from which the electromagnetic performances and the loss distributions are obtained. Then, an analysis model for fluid-solid temperature field analysis is established. Taking losses as the distributed heat sources, the 3D thermal field is coupling calculated. The variations of heat transfer coefficient and temperature of fluid in stator grooves along the axial direction, as well as the whole region 3D temperature distribution in HSPMG are obtained. Then, considering the variations of heat sources distributions and heat transfer conditions, 3D temperature fields of HSPMG operating under different speeds are calculated, and the influences of machine operating speed on the HSPMG thermal performance are studied, based on which, the functions of machine temperature with operating speed and stator windings resistance are proposed. 19Boron difluoride formazanate dye for high-efficiency NIR-Ⅱ fluorescence imaging-guided cancer photothermal therapy显示文摘The small molecular second near-infrared(NIR-Ⅱ, 1000–1700 nm) dye-based nanotheranostics can concurrently combine deep-tissue photodiagnosis with in situ phototherapy, which occupies a vital position in the early detection and precise treatment of tumors. However, the development of small molecular NIR-Ⅱ dyes is still challenging due to the limited electron acceptors and cumbersome synthetic routes.Herein, we report a novel molecular electron acceptor, boron difluoride formazanate(BDF). Based on BDF, a new small molecular NIR-Ⅱ dye BDF1005 is designed and synthesized with strong NIR-I absorption at 768 nm and bright NIR-Ⅱ peak emission at 1034 nm. In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrate that BDF1005-based nanotheranostics can be applied for NIR-Ⅱ fluorescence imaging-guided photothermal therapy of 4T1 tumor-bearing mice. Under 808 nm laser irradiation, tumor growth can be effectively inhibited.
