| 1 | The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. | 2 | High-Performance Mg_(3)Sb_(2-x)Bi_(x) Thermoelectrics:Progress and Perspective显示文摘Since the first successful implementation of n-type doping,low-cost Mg_(3)Sb_(2-x)Bi_(x) alloys have been rapidly developed as excellent thermoelectric materials in recent years.An average figure of merit zT above unity over the temperature range 300-700 K makes this new system become a promising alternative to the commercially used n-type Bi_(2)Te_(3-x)Se_(x) alloys for either refrigeration or low-grade heat power generation near room temperature.In this review,with the structure-property-application relationship as the mainline,we first discuss how the crystallographic,electronic,and phononic structures lay the foundation of the high thermoelectric performance.Then,optimization strategies,including the physical aspects of band engineering with Sb/Bi alloying and carrier scattering mechanism with grain boundary modification and the chemical aspects of Mg defects and aliovalent doping,are extensively reviewed.Mainstream directions targeting the improvement of zT near room temperature are outlined.Finally,device applications and related engineering issues are discussed.We hope this review could help to promote the understanding and future developments of low-cost Mg_(3)Sb_(2-x)Bi_(x) alloys for practical thermoelectric applications. | Airan Li Chenguang Fu Xinbing Zhao Tiejun Zhu | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 4 |
| 3 | Fast synthesis and improved electrical stability in n-type Ag_(2)Te thermoelectric materials显示文摘Cu-and Ag-based superionic conductors are promising thermoelectric materials due to their good electrical properties and intrinsically low thermal conductivity. However, the poor electrical and thermal stability restrict their application. In this work, n-type pure phase Ag_(2) Te compound is synthesized by simply grinding elemental powders at room temperature and compacted by spark plasma sintering. It is found that, because of the migration of Ag+after the phase transition around 425 K, submicron pores are formed inside the samples during the electrical performance measurement, resulting in poor electrical stability and repeatability of Ag_(2) Te samples. | 8 | Registration of intervention trials of Traditional Chinese Medicine for four neurological diseases on Chinese Clinical Trial Registry and Clinical Trials.gov:a narrative review显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To analyze the current status of clinical trial registration of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)for the treatment of neurological diseases.METHODS:Interventional clinical trials of TCM treatment for ischemic stroke,hemorrhagic stroke,vascular cognitive impairment,tension-type headache before September 22,2020 on the platform of Chinese Clinical Trial Registry(Chi CTR),and Clinical Trials.gov were searched.Two researchers independently selected the literature and extracted data.RESULTS:A total of 180 interventional clinical trials were included for analysis.Out of 180 trials,127 were from Chi CTR and 53 from Clinical Trials.gov.The countries primary sponsoring the included trials were China(176,97.8%),and the common categories of primary sponsors were hospital(131,72.8%).Among the study design,the largest proportion of allocation was randomized(172,95.6%),interventional model assignment was parallel(163,90.6%),masking was double blind 49(27.2%),and the sample size was≤400(144,80.0%).The trials were most carried out at a single center(102,56.7%).Among the included studies,112(62.2%)registered on Chi CTR attached the ethical approval documents.In terms of trial stages,50(27.7%)studies were in phaseⅣ.The mostly used intervention was Chinese herbal medicines(99,55%),acupuncture(68,37.8%)was the second.By searching the registration number on China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database and Pub Med,38(21.1%)registered trials were published,including 25 protocol studies and 14 research results with one(NCT02275949)published both the protocol and the results.CONCLUSIONS:Irregular and inadequate reporting,untimely update and publication,insufficient information on traditional medicine unique characteristics,and lack of international collaborations are the problems existing in the interventional clinical registration trials of traditional medicine treatment on neurological diseases.More efforts need to be made from the above aspects to standardize and improve the registration of traditional medicine trials. | WEI Jingjing GUO Rongjuan FU Guojing LIANG Xiao XU Zhenmin JIA Min ZENG Zixiu DU Wanqing JIAO Weiwei SUN Linjuan LIU Hongmei GUO Chunli TONG Chenguang ZHANG Yunling LIAO Xing | 2022 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2022,42,1: | 1 |

| 11 | Preparation and properties of magnetic alumina microspheres with a γ-Fe_2O_3/SiO_2 core and Al_2O_3 shell显示文摘Magnetic alumina composite microspheres with γ-Fe 2 O 3 core/Al 2 O 3 shell structure were prepared by the oil column method. A dense silica layer was deposited on the surface of γ-Fe 2 O 3 particles (denoted as γ-Fe 2 O 3 /SiO 2 ) with a desired thickness to protect the iron oxide core against acidic or high temperature conditions. γ-Fe 2 O 3 /SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 particles with about 85 wt% Al 2 O 3 were obtained and showed to be suitable for practical applications as a magnetic catalyst or catalyst support due to their magnetic properties and pore structure. The products were characterized with scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM), nitrogen adsorption-desorption, and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The specific surface area and pore volume of the γ-Fe 2 O 3 /SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 composite microspheres calcined at 500 ? | 13 | Violation of the T^(−1) Relationship in the Lattice Thermal Conductivity of Mg_(3)Sb_(2) with Locally Asymmetric Vibrations显示文摘Most crystalline materials follow the guidelines of T^(-1) temperature-dependent lattice thermal conductivity(κ_(L))at elevated temperatures.Here,we observe a weak temperature dependence ofκL in Mg_(3)Sb_(2),T^(-0:48) from theory and T-0:57 from measurements,based on a comprehensive study combining ab initio molecular dynamics calculations and experimental measurements on single crystal Mg_(3)Sb_(2).These results can be understood in terms of the so-called“phonon renormalization”effects due to the strong temperature dependence of the interatomic force constants(IFCs).The increasing temperature leads to the frequency upshifting for those low-frequency phonons dominating heat transport,and more importantly,the phononphonon interactions are weakened.In-depth analysis reveals that the phenomenon is closely related to the temperature-induced asymmetric movements of Mg atoms within MgSb_(4) tetrahedron.With increasing temperature,these Mg atoms tend to locate at the areas with relatively low force in the force profile,leading to reduced effective 3^(rd)-order IFCs.The locally asymmetrical atomic movements at elevated temperatures can be further treated as an indicator of temperature-induced variations of IFCs and thus relatively strong phonon renormalization.The present work sheds light on the fundamental origins of anomalous temperature dependence of κ_(L) in thermoelectrics. | Yifan Zhu Yi Xia Yancheng Wang Ye Sheng Jiong Yang Chenguang Fu Airan Li Tiejun Zhu Jun Luo Christopher Wolverton GJeffrey Snyder Jianjun Liu Wenqing Zhang | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 0 |

| 16 | Effects of sediment characteristics on the sediment transport capacity of overland flow显示文摘The transport of sediments is a crucial part of soil erosion.Accurately calculating the sediment transport capacity is key to the construction of soil erosion process models.Research on Tc has focused mainly on the dynamics of a single particle of sediment and hydraulic variables.There have been few studies of the impact of soil aggregates on the Tc.To clarify how sediment characteristics,including those for single particles and aggregates,affect the Tc of overland flow with no raindrop import,flume experiments were implemented at slope gradients varying from 5.24%to 26.80%and flow discharges ranging from 0.68 to 5.41×10^(-3)m^(2)s^(-1).The experimental materials were five typical soils in China.The results indicated that the correlation between the measured Tc and sediment mechanical composition indexes of the five soils was indistinctive in this study.The sediment settling velocity with aggregates has a significant corre-lation with the measured Tc.New equations,including for the sediment settling velocity with aggregatesωud75,were established to calculate the Tc.The empirical equation that includedωud75,slope gradient and unit discharge performed greatly in predicting Tc(R^(2)=0.93,NSE=0.90).ωud75 can effectively improve the calculation accuracy of Tc.The new equation including flow and sediment properties obtained through dimensional analysis performed well in predicting Tc(R^(2)=0.99,NSE=0.91),and the calculation accuracy was better than that of the empirical model derived in this study.These findings indicate that the sediment settling velocity is an important variable in the equation for predicting sediment transport capacity of overland flow. | Chenguang Liu Suhua Fu Zhanbin Li Zeyu Zhang Jianhui Zeng | 2023 | International Soil and Water Conservation Research2023,11,1: | 0 |

| 19 | Achieving metal-like malleability and ductility in Ag_(2)Te_(1-x)S_(x)inorganic thermoelectric semiconductors with high mobility显示文摘Inorganic semiconductor Ag_(2)Te_(1-x)S_(x)has been recently found to exhibit unexpected plastic deformation with compressive strain up to 30%.However,the origin of the abnormal plasticity and how to simultaneously achieve superb ductility and high mobility are still elusive.Here,we demonstrate that crystalline/amorphous Ag_(2)Te_(1-x)S_(x)(x=0.3,0.4,and 0.5)composites can exhibit excellent compressive strain up to 70%if the monoclinic Ag2Te phase,which commonly exists in the matrix,is eliminated.Significantly,an ultra-high tensile elongation reaching 107.3%was found in Ag_(2)TeAg_(2)Te_(0.7)S_(x)S_(0.3),which is the highest one yet reported in the system and even surpasses those achieved in some metals and high-entropy alloys.Moreover,high mobility of above 1000 cm^(2)VAg^(-1)s^(-1) at room temperature and good thermoelectric performance are simultaneously maintained.A modified Ashby plot with ductility factor versus carrier mobility is thereby proposed to highlight the potential of solid materials for applications in flexible/wearable electronics. | Huiping Hu Yuechu Wang Chenguang Fu Xinbing Zhao Tiejun Zhu | 2022 | The Innovation2022,3,6: | 0 |
