| 1 | ζ-Carotene Isomerase Suppresses Tillering in Rice through the Coordinated Biosynthesis of Strigolactone and Abscisic Acid显示文摘Rice tillering is an important agronomic trait affecting grain yield.Here,we identified a high-tillering mutant tillering20(t20),which could be restored to the wild type by treatment with the strigolactone(SL)analog rac-GR24.T20 encodes a chloroplast ζ-carotene isomerase(Z-ISO),which is involved in the biosynthesis of ca-rotenoids and their metabolites,SL and abscisic acid(ABA).The t20 mutant has reduced SL and ABA,raising the question of how SL and ABA biosynthesis is coordinated,and whether they have overlapping functions in tillering.We discovered that rac-GR24 stimulated T20 expression and enhanced all-trans-p-carotene biosynthesis.Importantly,rac-GR24 also stimulated expression of Oryza sativa 9-CIS-EPOXY-CAROTENOID DIOXYGENASE 1(OsNCED1)through induction of Oryza sativa HOMEOBOX12(0sHOX12),promoting ABA biosynthesis in shoot base.On the other hand,ABA treatment significantly repressed SL biosynthesis and the ABA biosynthetic mutants displayed elevated SL biosynthesis.ABA treatment reduced the number of basal tillers in both t20 and wild-type plants.Furthermore,while ABA-deficient mu-tants aba1 and aba2 had the same number of basal tillers as wild type,they had more unproductive upper tillers at maturity.This work demonstrates complex interactions in the biosynthesis of carotenoid,SLs and ABA,and reveals a role for ABA in the regulation of rice tillering. | Xue Liu Qingliang Hu Jijun Yan Kai Sun Yan Liang Meiru Jia Xiangbing Meng Shuang Fang Yiqin Wang Yanhui Jing Guifu Liu Dianxing Wu Chengcai Chu Steven M.Smith Jinfang Chu Yonghong Wang Jiayang Li Bing Wang | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,12: | 11 |

| 6 | The first data release(DR1) of the LAMOST regular survey显示文摘The Large sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope(LAMOST) general survey is a spectroscopic survey that will eventually cover approximately half of the celestial sphere and collect 10 million spectra of stars, galaxies and QSOs. Objects in both the pilot survey and the first year regular survey are included in the LAMOST DR1. The pilot survey started in October 2011 and ended in June 2012, and the data have been released to the public as the LAMOST Pilot Data Release in August 2012. The regular survey started in September 2012, and completed its first year of operation in June 2013. The LAMOST DR1 includes a total of 1202 plates containing 2 955 336 spectra, of which 1 790 879 spectra have observed signalto-noise ratio(SNR) ≥ 10. All data with SNR ≥ 2 are formally released as LAMOST DR1 under the LAMOST data policy. This data release contains a total of 2 204 696 spectra, of which 1 944 329 are stellar spectra, 12 082 are galaxy spectra and 5017 are quasars. The DR1 not only includes spectra, but also three stellar catalogs with measured parameters: late A,FGK-type stars with high quality spectra(1 061 918 entries), A-type stars(100 073 entries), and M-type stars(121 522 entries). This paper introduces the survey design, the observational and instrumental limitations, data reduction and analysis, and some caveats. | 7 | Synthesis of Core-Shell HZSM-5@SBA-15 Composite and Its Performance in the Conversion of Methanol to Aromatics显示文摘A core-shell HZSM-5@SBA-15 composite was prepared by the acidic sol-gel coating method using Pluronic P123 as the template. Its structure, properties, and catalytic performance in the conversion of methanol to aromatics(MTA) were compared with HZSM-5@SiO_2. The silica shells of these two samples can both reduce the acid sites of HZSM-5, and consequently can decrease the formation of coke on the catalyst. However, in the ordered mesoporous SBA-15 shell the aromatics and the coke precursors could diffuse more effectively than in the amorphous SiO_2 shell; therefore, in the MTA reaction catalyzed by HZSM-5@SBA-15 composite a higher BTX selectivity and a longer catalyst cycle length were observed. | 8 | Low phosphorus promotes NSP1–NSP2 heterodimerization to enhance strigolactone biosynthesis and regulate shoot and root architecture in rice显示文摘Phosphorus is an essential macronutrient for plant development and metabolism,and plants have evolved ingenious mechanisms to overcome phosphate(Pi)starvation.However,the molecular mechanisms underlying the regulation of shoot and root architecture by low phosphorus conditions and the coordinated utilization of Pi and nitrogen remain largely unclear.Here,we show that Nodulation Signaling Pathway 1(NSP1)and NSP2 regulate rice tiller number by promoting the biosynthesis of strigolactones(SLs),a class of phytohormones with fundamental effects on plant architecture and environmental responses.We found that NSP1 and NSP2 are induced by Oryza sativa PHOSPHATE STARVATION RESPONSE2(OsPHR2)in response to low-Pi stress and form a complex to directly bind the promoters of SL biosynthesis genes,thus markedly increasing SL biosynthesis in rice.Interestingly,the NSP1/2–SL signaling module represses the expression of CROWN ROOTLESS 1(CRL1),a newly identified early SL-responsive gene in roots,to restrain lateral root density under Pi deficiency.We also demonstrated that GR24^(4DO) treatment under normal conditions inhibits the expression of OsNRTs and OsAMTs to suppress nitrogen absorption but enhances the expression of OsPTs to promote Pi absorption,thus facilitating the balance between nitrogen and phosphorus uptake in rice.Importantly,we found that NSP1p:NSP1 and NSP2p:NSP2 transgenic plants show improved agronomic traits and grain yield under low-and medium-phosphorus conditions.Taken together,these results revealed a novel regulatory mechanism of SL biosynthesis and signaling in response to Pi starvation,providing genetic resources for improving plant architecture and nutrient-use efficiency in low-Pi environments. | Kun Yuan Hao Zhang Chaoji Yu Nan Luo Jijun Yan Shuang Zheng Qingliang Hu Dahan Zhang Liquan Kou Xiangbing Meng Yanhui Jing Mingjiang Chen Xinwei Ban Zongyun Yan Zefu Lu Jian Wu Yu Zhao Yan Liang Yonghong Wang Guosheng Xiong Jinfang Chu Ertao Wang Jiayang Li Bing Wang | 2023 | Molecular Plant2023,16,11: | 2 |
| 9 | Occurrence and impact of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins/dibenzofurans in the air and soil around a municipal solid waste incinerator显示文摘To assess the influence of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans(PCDD/Fs) on the environment in the vicinity of municipal solid waste incinerators(MSWIs), we determined the levels of PCDD/Fs in air and soil samples collected around a MSWI, which is the largest in China. The International Toxicity Equivalency Quantity(I-TEQ) concentrations of PCDD/Fs in air samples were from 0.0300 to 1.03 pg I-TEQ/m^3(0.445–13.6 pg/m^3), with an average of 0.237 pg I-TEQ/m^3, while in soil samples they ranged from 0.520 to 3.40 pg I-TEQ/g(2.41–88.7 pg/g) with an average of1.49 pg I-TEQ/g. The concentrations of PCDD/Fs in air and soil samples were comparable to other areas, and Pe CDFs were the dominant contributors, which was different from stack gas homologue patterns. Multivariate statistical analysis showed that PCDD/Fs emission from the MSWI did not directly affect the profiles of PCDD/Fs in air and soils, so that vehicles and unidentified emission sources should be considered. The daily inhalation levels of PCDD/Fs for children(0.0110 to 0.392 pg I-TEQ/(kg·day) and adults(0.00600 to 0.221 pg I-TEQ/(kg·day) near the MSWI were lower than the tolerable daily intake of 1.00 to 4.00 pg WHO-TEQ/(kg·day), but in winter the values were higher than in summer. | 12 | The first local case of mpox caused by an imported case in the Chinese mainland显示文摘Monkeypox (mpox) is a zoonotic disease caused by the mpox virus (MPXV) that has been primarily limited to Central and West African nations since its discovery. The recent spread of the West African lineage of MPXV in historically unaffected countries has raised concerns for global public health. Despite a significant decrease in global mpox cases, there is still a risk of a global resurgence. This study reports the first local case of mpox caused by an imported case in the Chinese mainland. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) diagnosed the two cases, and the viral genomes were obtained by next-generation sequencing. | 14 | Transcriptome analysis of salt-stress response in three seedling tissues of common wheat显示文摘Xiaoyan 60(XY60) is a new wheat variety bred in the laboratory of Zhensheng Li.After salt treatment, seedlings of XY60 maintain green leaves and produce longer roots than the high yielding cultivar Zhongmai 175(ZM175).To explain these different phenotypes we carried out an RNA-Seq analysis using 12 samples from three tissues of both varieties subjected to salt and control treatments.By comparing data from the salt treated plants with the control, 703, 979, and 1197 differentially expressed genes(DEGs) were detected in new leaves, old leaves, and roots of XY60, respectively.The corresponding numbers for ZM175 were 613, 1401, and 1301.The most significantly enriched Gene Ontology(GO) terms and KEGG pathways were associated with polyunsaturated fatty acid(PUFA) metabolism in both new and old leaves from XY60.They were associated with photosynthesis and energy metabolism in ZM175.The most significantly enriched KEGG pathway in roots of both varieties was “glucosinolate biosynthesis”.In addition, jasmonic acid(JA) concentration in XY60 was higher than in ZM175, although it increased significantly in both varieties following salt treatment.Trends in relative expression levels of AOS, MYC2, and JAZ revealed by qRT-PCR were concordant with those from RNA-Seq.Our results suggest that PUFAs may contribute to salt tolerance in common wheat by enhancing the photosynthetic system and JA-related pathways. | Qiaoling Luo Wan Teng Shuang Fang Hongwei Li Bin Li Jinfang Chu Zhensheng Li Qi Zheng | 2019 | The Crop Journal2019,7,3: | 1 |

| 19 | SY-707,an ALK/FAK/IGF1R inhibitor,suppresses growth and metastasis of breast cancer cells显示文摘Focal adhesion kinase(FAK),a multi-functional cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase,plays a critical role in cancer migration,proliferation and metastasis via regulating multiple signaling pathways.SY-707 is an anaplastic lymphoma kinase(ALK)/FAK/type 1 insulin-like growth factor receptor(IGF1R)multi-kinase inhibitor which is now being evaluated in phase II clinical trials for ALK positive non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).However,the effect of SY-707 on breast cancer is unknown.In this study,we assessed preclinical the anti-growth and anti-metastasis potency of SY-707 in breast cancer cells.ATP content,PE-Annexin V,and would healing assays were used to examine cell proliferation,cell cycle and migration.Then,SD rat and beagle dog models were used to evaluate the pharmacokinetics profile of SY-707,and mouse xenograft model was used to evaluate the anti-cancer activities of SY-707 in vivo.We found that breast cancer cells apoptosis were induced by SY-707.Moreover,SY-707 exerted inhibition on cell migration and adhesion in a dose-dependent manner.In T47D xenograft mice,SY-707 had significant anti-tumor activities alone or synergistically with Paclitaxel.Meanwhile,SY-707 also displayed significant suppression on spontaneous metastasis of tumor to the lung in 4T1 murine breast cancer xenograft model.In conclusion,SY-707 has potent antiproliferation and anti-migration potential in breast cancer in vitro and in vivo,implying its therapeutic application for the treatment of breast cancer in future clinical trials. | Ping Liu Yinghui Sun Shuang Liu Jing Niu Xijie Liu Qiaoyun Chu | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,2: | 0 |
