2Simultaneous preparation of TiO2 and ammonium alum,and microporous SiO2 during the mineral carbonation of titanium-bearing blast furnace slag显示文摘In this study,a route for simultaneous mineralization of CO2 and production of titanium dioxide and ammonium alum,and microporous silicon dioxide from titanium-bearing blast furnace slag(TBBF slag)was proposed,which is comprised of(NH4)2 S04 roasting,acid leaching,ammonium alum crystallization,silicic acid flocculation and Ti hydrolysis.The effects of relevant process parameters were systematically investigated.The re sults showed that under the optimal roasting and leaching conditions about 85%of titanium and 84.6%of aluminum could be extracted while only 30%of silicon entered the leachate.84%of Al^3+was crystallized from the leachate in the form of ammonium aluminum sulfate dodecahydrate with a purity up to 99.5 wt%.About 85%of the soluble silicic acid was flocculated with the aid of secondary alcohol polyoxyethylene ether 9(AEO-9)to yield a microporous SiO2 material(97.4 wt%)from the crystallized mother liquor.The Al-and Si-depleted solution was then hydrolyzed to generate a titanium dioxide(99.1 wt%)with uniform particle size distribution.It was figured out that approximately 146 kg TiO2 could be produced from 1000 kg of TBBF slag.Therefore,the improved process is a promising method for industrial application.Yingjie Xiong Tahani Aldahri Weizao Liu Guanrun Chu Guoquan Zhang Dongmei Luo Hairong Yue Bin Liang Chun Li 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,9:7
3Exogenous hydrogen sulfide inhibits apoptosis by regulating endoplasmic reticulum stress-autophagy axis and improves myocardial reconstruction after acute myocardial infarction显示文摘During acute myocardial infarction,endoplasm ic reticulum(ER)stress-induced autophagy and apoptosis have been shown as im portant pathogeneses of myocardial reconstruction.Im portantly,hydrogen sulfide(H2S),as a third endogenous gas signaling molecule,exerts strong cytoprotective effect on anti-ER stress,autophagy regulation and antiapoptosis.Here,we showed that H2 S treatm ent inhibits apoptosis by regulating ER stress-autophagy axis and im proves myocardial reconstruction after acute myocardial infarction.We found that H2S intervention im proved left ventricle function,reduced glycogen deposition in myocardial tissue mesenchyme,and inhibited apoptosis.Moreover,the expressions of fibrosis indicators(Col3a1 and Col1a2),ER stress-related proteins(CHOP and BIP/ERP78),autophagy-related proteins(Beclin and ATG5),apoptosis protein(Bax),as well as fibrosis protein Col4a3bp were all decreased after treatm ent w ith H2 S.H2 S adm inistration also m aintained MMP/TIMP balance.Mechanistically,H2S activated the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway.In addition,H2S treatm ent also reduced the expressions of ER stress-related proteins,autophagy-related proteins,and apoptins in in wtro experiments.Interestingly,activation of ER stress-autophagy axis could reverse the inhibitory effect of H2S on myocardial apoptosis.Altogether,these results suggested that exogenous H2S suppresses myocardial apoptosis by blocking ER stress-autophagy axis,which in turn reverses cardiac rem odeling after myocardial infarction.Yaling Li Maojun Liu Jiali Yi Xiong Song Xia Zheng Da Liu Sen Wang Chun Chu Jun Yang 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,12:5

5Synthesis and Characterization of Sphere-like Pt Nanoparticles Supported on DWCNT/WO_3 Nanorods with Electrocatalytic Activity显示文摘Tungsten oxide(WO3) nanorods, which were used to load platinum(Pt) nanoparticles, were investigated. H2WO4 nanorods with diameters from 10 to 50 nm were obtained when tungsten precursor was added into homogenous double-walled carbon nanotubes(DWCNT) and ethylene glycol(EG) solution.Nanosized rod-like WO3 were achieved after calcination of the DWCNT/H2WO4 composite. Sphere-like Pt nanoparticles were loaded on the surface of the nanorods by EG in-situ reduction. Pt particles were isolated by DWCNT/WO3 nanorods and secondary accumulation could be prevented when Pt particles appeared in the DWCNT/WO3 nanorod/EG dispersion solution. Therefore, Pt nanoparticles with mean diameters of 2–6 nm could be obtained. 8Decomposition and Reformulation of Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction:A Vasodilatory Approach显示文摘Objective To decompose and reformulate Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction(BBT) in order to optimize its ratio for vasodilatory effect.The fingerprints of these six component herbs were also studied via Tri-step FTIR analysis.Methods The herbal components of BBT were extracted separately with different solvents,such as 95%ethanol,50%ethanol,and distilled water.The vasodilatory effect of the extracts was studied using the in vitro pre-contracted aortic ring model.Among these extracts,the water extracts of Pinellia ternata[PT(W)]and Citri reticulatae[CR(W)],50%ethanol extracts of Castrodia elata[GE(50)]and Clycyrrhiza uralensis[GU(50)],and 95%ethanol extracts of Atractylodes macrocephala[AM(E)],and Poria cocos[PC(E)]were selected for the orthogonal stimulus-response compatibility group study due to their high effectiveness in vasodilation.Results The best combination ratio(G2) was GE(50),GU(50),AM(E),PC(E),CR(W),and PT(W) at EC_0,EC_5,EC_5,EC_5,EC_5,and EC_5,with EC_(50) of(0.06 ± 0.01) mg/mL.Comparison between the vasodilatory effects of extracts derived from G2 and BBT were also studied.From the results,the 50%ethanol extract following G2 ratio was found to be most potent extract with the highest vasodilatory effect compared with other extracts derived from G2 or BBT,with EC_(50) of(0.05 ±0.005) mg/mL.Conclusion The optimum ratio and appropriate extraction method for the new BBT formulae are obtained.G2 is determined as the best formulae with the highest potency in producing the vasodilatory effect on isolated rat aortic rings.The results obtained suggest that 50%ethanol is found to be the best solvent to extract the vasoactive compounds of G2 in order to exhibit the highest efficacy of vasodilatory effect.Chu Shan Tan Yean Chun Loh Yung Sing Ch'ng Mariam Ahmad Mohd.Zaini Asmawi Mun Fei Yam 2017Chinese Herbal Medicines2017,9,2:3

11Ground-based Observations of Ultraviolet and Total Solar Radiation in Shenyang,Northeast China显示文摘Objective This work explores the diurnal variation of Solar ultraviolet radiation (UVR) and total solar radiation (TSR) in northeast China,using daily observations of UVR and TSR in Shenyang.Methods UVR and TSR measurements were carried out from March 1st,2006 to December 31st,2009 in Shenyang,Liaoning province,China (41°51' N,123°27' E).Results Both TSR and UVR showed seasonal variation,reaching the highest levels in summer and the lowest in winter.They showed the greatest fluctuation in summer and autumn.The irradiance of TSR and UVR on clear days around the equinoxes and solstices increased substantially compared with the mean seasonal irradiance,especially in autumn.The whole day accumulated dose of UVR in winter was far less than that during the middle part of a summer day (i.e.between 10:00 and 14:00).It was also less than the accumulated summer dose of morning and afternoon (i.e.between 8:00 and 10:00 and 14:00 and 16:00).Conclusion The instant irradiance and daily accumulated amount of UVR are low in Shenyang,especially in autumn and winter.Thus concern about the health effects arising because shortage of UVR in northeast China is warranted.GAO Qian HU LiWen GONG HuiZhi GAO Na YU JiaMing WANG Yang CHU Chun YANG Hui LIU Yang 2011Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,5:2
12Clinopyroxene and Fe-Ti oxides for correlating the ash from Changbaishan Millennium eruption显示文摘Volcanic glass compositions and tephra layer age are critical for anchoring their sources and correlating among different sites; however, such work may be imprecise when the tephra has varied compositions. The ash from Changbaishan Millennium eruption(940s AD), a widely distributed tephra layer, has been detected in the far-east areas of Russia, the Korean Peninsula, Japan, and in Greenland ice cores. There are some debates on the presence of this tephra from sedimentary archives to the west of Changbaishan volcano, such as lake and peat sediments in the Longgang volcanic field. In this paper, major element compositions for clinopyroxene and Fe-Ti oxides were performed on proximal tephra from Changbaishan and the Millennium eruption ash record in Lake Sihailongwan. Clinopyroxene and Fe-Ti oxides microlites from Sihailongwan show augite-ferroaugite and titanmagnetite compositions, similar to those from dark pumice in Changbaishan proximal tephra, but different from the light grey pumice, which has ferrohedenbergite and ilmenite microlite compositions. This result implies that the tephra recorded in Sihailongwan was mainly from the trachytic eruptive phase of the Millennium eruption, and the rhyolitic eruptive phase made a relatively small contribution to this area. 13Effect of surface ligand density on cytotoxicity and pharmacokinetic profile of docetaxel loaded liposomes显示文摘Various biotin-modified liposomes incorporated with docetaxel(DTX) were prepared to study the effect of surface biotin density on the pharmacokinetic profile of the liposome. Four types of liposomes such as PEG modified liposome(PDL), 0.5%(mol) biotin modified liposome(0.5 BDL), 1%(mol) biotin modified liposome(1 BDL) and 2%(mol) biotin modified liposome(2 BDL) were prepared using thin film dispersion method. The prepared liposomes were characterized by measuring encapsulation efficiency(EE), particle size, Zeta-potential, physical stability and drug release profiles in vitro. MTT assay was performed to elevate the cytotoxicity of liposomes on MCF-7 cells. In vivo evaluation was further performed to investigate the effect of biotin surface density on the pharmacokinetic profiles. All the prepared liposomes exhibited high encapsulation efficiency, small particle size, narrow particle distribution and sustained release profiles in vitro. In MTT assay, 0.5 BDL showed largest tumor cell toxicity, compared with DTX solution. All liposomes containing DTX showed prolonged blood circulation in vivo, and 0.5 BDL showed the longest circulation time among the biotin modified liposome. Surface modification of liposome had a negative impact on the circulation of liposomes in the blood, which needs to be considered when designing the ligand mediated targeting delivery systems.
