| 1 | A New Approach to Measurement of Regional Inequality in Particular Directions显示文摘Regional inequality is a core issue in geography,and it can be measured by several approaches and indexes.However,the global inequality measures can not reflect regional characteristics in terms of spatiality and non-mobility,as well as correctly explore regional inequality in particular directions.Although conventional between-group inequality indexes can measure the inequality in particular directions,they can not reflect the reversals of regional patterns and changes of within-group patterns.Therefore,we set forth a new approach to measure regional inequality in particular directions,which is applicable to geographic field.Based on grouping,we established a new index to measure regional inequality in particular directions named Particular Direction Inequality index(PDI index),which is comprised of between-group inequality of all data and between-group average gap.It can reflect regional spatiality and non-mobility,judge the main direction of regional inequality,and capture the changes and reversals of regional patterns.We used the PDI index to measure the changes of regional inequality from 1952 to 2009 in China.The results show that:1) the main direction of China's regional inequality was between coastal areas and inland areas;the increasing extent of inequality between coastal areas and inland areas was higher than the global inequality;2) the PDI index can measure the between-region average gap,and is more sensitive to evolution of within-region patterns;3) the inequality between the northern China and the southern China has been decreasing from 1952 to 2009 and was reversed in 1994 and 1995. | WANG Yang FANG Chuanglin XIU Chunliang LIU Daqian | 2012 | Chinese Geographical Science2012,22,6: | 17 |
| 2 | Siting of Dark Sky Reserves in China Based on Multi-source Spatial Data and Multiple Criteria Evaluation Method显示文摘With the rapid development of population and urbanization and the progress of lighting technology, the influence of artificial light sources has increased.In this context, the problem of light pollution has attracted wide attention.Previous studies have revealed that light pollution can affect biological living environments, human physical and mental health, astronomical observations and many other aspects.Therefore, organizations internationally have begun to advocate for measures to prevent light pollution, many of which are recognized by the International Dark-Sky Association(IDA).In addition to improving public awareness, legal protections, technical treatments and other means, the construction of Dark Sky Reserves(DSR) has proven to be an effective preventive measure.So far, as a pioneer practice in this field, the IDA has identified 11 DSRs worldwide.Based on the DA requirements for DSRs, this paper utilizes NPP-VIIRS nighttime light data and other multi-source spatial data to analyze possible DSR sites in China.The land of China was divided into more than ten thousand 30 km × 30 km fishnets, and constraint and suitable conditions were designated, respectively, as light and cloud conditions, and scale, traffic and attractiveness conditions.Using a multiple criteria evaluation, 1443 fishnets were finally selected as most suitable sites for the construction of DSRs.Results found that less than 25% of China is not subject to light pollution, and less than 13% is suitable for DSR construction, primarily in western and northern areas, including Tibet, Xinjiang, Qinghai, Gansu and Inner Mongolia. | WEI Ye CHEN Zuoqi XIU Chunliang YU Bailang LIU Hongxing | 2019 | Chinese Geographical Science2019,29,6: | 5 |

| 4 | Amplification of terahertz/infrared field at the nodes of Ranvier for myelinated nerve显示文摘The myelination of axons was the last major evolution in the vertebrate nervous system.Myelin promotes the speed of action potential by two orders,and modulates the conduction of neurons,important for learning new skills.However,the intrinsic mechanism for high-speed information propagation in myelin in the nervous systems is still unclear.We propose that myelinated nerve fibres serve as dielectric waveguides for the high-frequency electromagnetic information in a certain mid-infrared to terahertz spectral range.Based on the structure characteristics of myelinated nerve composed of periodic nodes of Ranvier and myelin sheath,the energy for the signal propagation is supplied and amplified when crossing the nodes of Ranvier via a periodic relay.In this work,we exploit the quasi-quantum model of amplification for neural terahertz/infrared information at the nodes of Ranvier,and prove the existence of biomolecular ensemble for three-energy-level amplification,revealing the essential mechanism of high-speed electromagnetic information transmitting in myelinated nerves. | YanSheng Liu KaiJie Wu ChunLiang Liu GangQiang Cui Chao Chang GuoZhi Liu | 2020 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2020,63,7: | 3 |
| 5 | Nonlinear topological valley Hall edge states arising from type-Ⅱ Dirac cones显示文摘A Dirac point is a linear band crossing point originally used to describe unusual transport properties of materials like graphene.In recent years,there has been a surge of exploration of type-II Dirac/Weyl points using various engineered platforms including photonic crystals,waveguide arrays,metasurfaces,magnetized plasma and polariton micropillars,aiming toward relativistic quantum emulation and understanding of exotic topological phenomena.Such endeavors,however,have focused mainly on linear topological states in real or synthetic Dirac/Weyl materials.We propose and demonstrate nonlinear valley Hall edge(VHE)states in laserwritten anisotropic photonic lattices hosting innately the type-Ⅱ Dirac points.These self-trapped VHE states,manifested as topological gap quasi-solitons that can move along a domain wall unidirectionally without changing their profiles,are independent of external magnetic fields or complex longitudinal modulations,and thus are superior in comparison with previously reported topological edge solitons.Our finding may provide a route for understanding nonlinear phenomena in systems with type-Ⅱ Dirac points that violate the Lorentz invariance and may bring about possibilities for subsequent technological development in light field manipulation and photonic devices. | Hua Zhong Shiqi Xia Yiqi Zhang Yongdong Li Daohong Song Chunliang Liu Zhigang Chen | 2021 | Advanced Photonics2021,3,5: | 3 |
| 6 | Ultrahigh rate capability of 1D/2D polyaniline/titanium carbide(MXene)nanohybrid for advanced asymmetric supercapacitors显示文摘High energy density and enhanced rate capability are highly sought-after for supercapacitors in today's mobile world.In this work,polyaniline/titanium carbide(MXene)(PANI/Ti3C2Tx)nanohybrid is synthesized through a facile and cost-effective self-assembly of.one-dimensional(10)PANI nanofibers and two-dimensional(20)Ti3C2Tx nanosheets.PANl!Ti3C2Tx delivers greatly improved specific capacitance,ultrahigh rate capability(67%capacitance retention from 1 to 100 A·g^(-1))as well as good cycle stability.Electrochemical kinetic analysis reveals that PANI/Ti3C2Tx is featured with surface capacitance-dominated process and has a quasi-reversible kinetics at high scan rates,giving rise to an ultrahigh rate capability.By using PANl!Ti3C2Tx as positive electrode,an 1.8 V aqueous asymmetric supercapacitor(ASC)is successfully assembled,showing a maximum energy density of 50.8 Wh·kg^(-1)·(at 0.9 kW-kg-1)and a power density of 18 kW·kg^(-1)(at 26 Wh·kg^(-1)).Moreover,an 3.0 V organic ASC is also elaborately fabricated,·by using PANI/Ti3C2Tx,achieving an ultrahigh energy density of 67.2 Wh·kg^(-1)(at 1.5 kW·kg^(-1))and a power density of 30 kW·kg^(-1)·(at 26.8 Wh·kg^(-1)).The present work not only improves fundamental understanding of the structure-property relationship towards ultrahigh rate capability electrode materials,but also provides valuable guideline for the rational design of high-performance:energy storage devices with both high energy and power densities. | Jinhua Zhou Qi Kang Shuchi Xu Xiaoge Li Cong Liu Lu Ni Ningna Chen Chunliang Lu Xizhang Wang Luming Peng Xuefeng Guo Weiping Ding Wenhua Hou | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,1: | 2 |
| 7 | One-step preparation of branched PEG functionalized AIE-active luminescent polymeric nanoprobes显示文摘The synthesis of amphiphilic aggregation-induced emission(AIE) dyes based organic nanoparticles has recently attracted increasing attention in the biomedical fields. These AIE dyes based nanoparticles could effectively overcome the aggregation caused quenching effect of conventional organic dyes, making them promising candidates for fabrication of ultrabright organic luminescent nanomaterials. In this work, AIE-active luminescent polymeric nanoparticles(4-NH_2-PEG-TPE-E LPNs) were facilely fabricated through Michael addition reaction between tetraphenylethene acrylate(TPE-E) and 4-arm-poly(ethylene glycol)-amine(4-NH_2-PEG) in rather mild ambient. The 4-NH_2-PEG can not only endow these AIE-active LPNs good water dispersibility, but also provide functional groups for further conjugation reaction. The size, morphology and luminescent properties of 4-NH_2-PEG-TPE-E LPNs were characterized by a series of techniques in detail. Results suggested that these AIE-active LPNs showed spherical morphology with diameter about 100–200 nm. The obtained 4-NH_2-PEG-TPE-E LPNs display high water dispersibility and strong fluorescence intensity because of their self assembly and AIE properties of TPE-E.Biological evaluation results demonstrated that 4-NH_2-PEG-TPE-E LPNs showed negative toxicity toward cancer cells and good fluorescent imaging performance.
