1Influence of fault slip on mining-induced pressure and optimization ofroadway support design in fault-influenced zone显示文摘This paper presents an investigation on the characteristics of overlying strata collapse and mininginduced pressure in fault-influenced zone by employing the physical modeling in consideration of fault structure.The precursory information of fault slip during the underground mining activities is studied as well.Based on the physical modeling,the optimization of roadway support design and the field verification in fault-influenced zone are conducted.Physical modeling results show that,due to the combined effect of mining activities and fault slip,the mining-induced pressure and the extent of damaged rock masses in the fault-influenced zone are greater than those in the uninfluenced zone.The sharp increase and the succeeding stabilization of stress or steady increase in displacement can be identified as the precursory information of fault slip.Considering the larger mining-induced pressure in the fault-influenced zone,the new support design utilizing cables is proposed.The optimization of roadway support design suggests that the cables can be anchored in the stable surrounding rocks and can effectively mobilize the load bearing capacity of the stable surrounding rocks.The field observation indicates that the roadway is in good condition with the optimized roadway support design.Hongwei Wang Yaodong Jiang Sheng Xue Lingtao Mao Zhinan Lin Daixin Deng Dengqiang Zhang 2016Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2016,8,5:10
2Understanding electrode materials of rechargeable lithium batteries via DFT calculations显示文摘Rechargeable lithium batteries have achieved a rapid advancement and commercialization in the past decade owing to their high capacity and high power density.Different functional materials have been put forward progressively,and each possesses distinguishing structural features and electrochemical properties.In virtue of density functional theory(DFT) calculations,we can start from a specific structure to get a deep comprehension and accurate prediction of material properties and reaction mechanisms.In this paper,we review the main progresses obtained by DFT calculations in the electrode materials of rechargeable lithium batteries,aiming at a better understanding of the common electrode materials and gaining insights into the battery performance.The applications of DFT calculations involve in the following points of crystal structure modeling and stability investigations of delithiated and lithiated phases,average lithium intercalation voltage,prediction of charge distributions and band structures,and kinetic studies of lithium ion diffusion processes,which can provide atomic understanding of the capacity,reaction mechanism,rate capacity,and cycling ability.The results obtained from DFT are valuable to reveal the relationship between the structure and the properties,promoting the design of new electrode materials.Tianran Zhang Daixin Li Zhanliang Tao Jun Chen 2013Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2013,23,3:2
3Solidification/Adsorption of Heavy Metals by FA/FA-MSWI based Al-Substituted Tobermorite显示文摘Fly ash(FA) was utilized to hydrothermally synthesize FA based Al-substituted tobermorites, and was combined with raw materials of FA and municipal solid waste incineration fly ash(MSWI) to hydrothermally synthesize FA-MSWI based Al-substituted tobermorites. Then optimum samples named FA-T and FM-T were selected, correspondingly. Their intrinsic properties as well as their solidification/stabilization and adsorption of heavy metals were studied. The experimental results showed that the specific surface area of FA-T and FM-T was 28.259 m^2/g and 45.939 m^2/g, respectively. Their pore size distribution, particle size distribution, and median particle size were approximately the same. FA-T and FM-T both had great potential of solidification/stabilization heavy metal to dispose hazardous solid waste. 5Ten-year Etiologic Review of Chinese Children Hospitalized for Pediatric Cataracts显示文摘Purpose:Our aim was to obtain a better understanding of the etiologies and characteristics of pediatric cataracts treated at a single facility in China.Methods:.Medical records accrued over a 10-year period(from August, 2003 to July, 2013) at Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University were reviewed retrospectively,ide ntifying all patients treated for various subtypes of pediatric cataract..A database with 367 subjects under 14 years of age(598, including second-round surgeries) was generated.Results:.Of this cohort(n =367; males: 232, 63.2%; females: 135, 36.8%), 200 patients(54.5%) had bilateral cataracts,and 258(70.3%) were under 3 years of age. In all age groups and in all subtypes of pediatric cataract,.males were most commonly affected..Congenital cataract was the most prevalent subtype, accounting for 296 patients(80.7%). Most congenital cataracts were associated with other ocular or systemic abnormalities;.and in 48 patients(16.22%),.they were hereditary..Traumatic cataract was the most common subtype(85.92%) of acquired cataract. The few instances of cataracts due to steroids(n=3) or to metabolic disorders(n=2) occurred in males and involved both eyes.Conclusion: The majority of pediatric cataracts in this patient population were congenital in nature. A significant lag in ophthalmologic evaluation of Chinese infants was evident and should be addressed by educating both children and parents on risk factors for cataract development. 10Optimization of group control strategy and analysis of energy saving in refrigeration plant显示文摘This study proposes a group control system optimization strategy coupled with a refrigeration plant model for a primary pump variable flow system,in order to improve the automation level of the refrigeration plant and maximize the energy saving potential.First,the control variables,optimization objectives,and operational con-straints of the entire system were analyzed.Then,by collecting the operational data for each component and combining these data with theoretical analysis,the sub models were designed and the input parameters,output parameters,and optimization variables of each sub-model were defined.Next,the sub-models were coupled and the control variables of the operational combination,leading to the lowest overall system energy consumption,were obtained using a particle swarm optimization algorithm.Finally,considering a medical building in North China as an example,the application effectiveness of the optimal control strategy of the refrigeration plant was analyzed.The results showed that the energy-savings of the group control system after the optimization of the re-frigerator,chilled water pump,cooling water pump,and cooling tower could reach 9.42,8.04,5.67,and 14.64%,respectively.This is a remarkable energy-savings benefit.The research described in this study also provides some reference for the design of group control systems in refrigeration plants.Tu Daixin Xia Hongwei Yin Huijuan Yu Hao Hou Wen 2022Energy and Built Environment2022,3,4:0
11Structure adapting of bulk FeS_(2) micron particles and the corresponding anode for high performance sodium-ion batteries显示文摘The practical application of Pyrite iron disulfide (FeS_(2)) as anode material of sodium-ion battery is limitedby its low electronic conductivity, large volume changes during charge/discharge. To overcome thesechallenges, a novel structure design single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) composited polyaniline(PANI)-wrapped FeS_(2) (FeS_(2)-PANI-SWCNTs) electrodes are successfully achieved in this work. PANI canprotect the FeS_(2) particles from collapse and offer a protective layer to relive the polysulfides shuttlingeffect, and also promote the electron and Naþ diffusion during the chemical conversion process. Underthe dual protection of PANI and SWCNTs, the FeS_(2)-PANI-SWCNTs film electrode demonstrates a goodstructural integrity, which accounts for the excellent rate capability and long cycling performance. Inaddition, the PANI coating and SWCNT network in the fabricated electrode can synergistically anchorpolysulfides and therefore strongly suppress shuttle effect during the chargeedischarge processes,resulting in less capacity loss. The anode with a loading 3.2 mg cm 2 of FeS_(2) coated with PANI exhibitsthe initial coulombic efficiency of 81.5% and delivers a specific capacity of 625.8 mAh g^(-1) after 100 cyclesat 200 mA g^(-1). High flexible and binder-free FeS_(2)-PANI-SWCNTs film anode demonstrates a reversiblecapacity of 537 mAh g^(-1) after 550 cycles at 1 A g^(-1). 12Experimental study on the interrelation of multiple mechanical parameters in overburden rock caving process during coal mining in longwall panel显示文摘In order to comprehend the dynamic disaster mechanism induced by overburden rock caving during the advancement of a coal mining face, a physical simulation model is constructed basing on the geological condition of the 21221 mining face at Qianqiu coal mine in Henan Province, China. This study established, a comprehensive monitoring system to investigate the interrelations and evolutionary characteristics among multiple mechanical parameters, including mining-induced stress, displacement, temperature, and acoustic emission events during overburden rock caving. It is suggested that, despite the uniformity of the overburden rock caving interval, the main characteristic of overburden rock lies in its uneven caving strength. The mining-induced stress exhibits a reasonable interrelation with the displacement, temperature, and acoustic emission events of the rock strata. With the advancement of the coal seam, the mining-induced stress undergoes four successive stages: gentle stability, gradual accumulation, high-level mutation, and a return to stability. The variations in other mechanical parameters does not synchronize with the signifcant changes in mining-induced stress. Before the collapse of overburden rock occurs, rock strata temperature increment decreases and the acoustic emission ringing counts surges with the increase of rock strata displacement and mining-induced stress. Therefore, the collaborative characteristics of mining-induced stress, displacement, temperature, and acoustic emission ringing counts can be identifed as the precursor information or overburden rock caving. 13SiC JFETs Modular Cascaded Method with Active Clamp Control Strategy for DC Solid-state Circuit Breaker显示文摘Power semiconductor devices cascaded topology is one of the most common solutions for solid-state circuit breakers(SSCBs)working in medium-voltage DC systems.However,when the number of cascaded devices is large,current series technologies of power semiconductor devices will be difficult to be applied since with uneven voltage sharing problems.Thus,this paper proposes a novel cascade method of multi-SiC JFETs based on modules cascaded.This method consists of two parts:one is a single-gate driver cascaded SiC JFETs topology which is used to form the module,the other one is an active clamp control strategy which ensures that each module is protected from overvoltage when modules are cascaded.The proposed cascade method can effectively suppress voltage overshoot of cascading power devices in the switching process.Based on the proposed cascade method,a 5kV/63A SSCB prototype is designed.Finally,an experiment is conducted based on the designed SSCB.Experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed cascaded method for SSCB.Hong Duan Wei Wang Zhikang Shuai Dong He Daixin Chen Z.John Shen 2023CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2023,9,6:0
