| 1 | Crustal structure of northeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau by receiver function inversion显示文摘Using seismic data of about one year recorded by 18 broadband stations of ASCENT project,we obtained 2547 receiver functions in the northeastern Tibetan Plateau.The Moho depths under 14 stations were calculated by applying the H-κ domain search algorithm.The Moho depths under the stations with lower signal-noise ratio(SNR) were estimated by the time delay of the PS conversion.Results show that the Moho depth varies in a range of ~40–60 km.The Moho near the Haiyuan fault is vague,and its depth is larger than those on its two sides.In the Qinling-Qilian Block,the Moho becomes shallower gradually from west to east.To the east of 105°E,the average depth of the Moho is 45 km,whereas the west is 50 km or even deeper.Combining our results with surface wave research,we suggest a boundary between the Qinling and the Qilian Mountains at around 105°E.S wave velocities beneath 15 stations have been obtained through a linear inversion by using Crust2.0 as an initial model,and the crustal thickness that was derived by H-κ domain search algorithm was also taken into account.The results are very similar to the results of previous active source studies.The resulting figure indicates that low velocity layers developed in the middle and lower crust beneath the transition zone of the Tibet Block and western Qinling,which may be related to regional faults and deep earth dynamics.The velocity of the middle and lower crust increases from the Songpan Block to the northeastern margin of Tibetan Plateau.Based on the velocity of the crust,the distribution of the low velocity zone and the composition of the curst(Poisson's ratio),we infer that the crust thickening results from the crust shortening along the direction of compression. | LIU QiMin ZHAO JunMeng LU Fang LIU HongBing | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,4: | 23 |
| 2 | Pediatric reference intervals in China(PRINCE):design and rationale for a large,multicenter collaborative cross-sectional study显示文摘There is a lack of accurate pediatric reference intervals(RIs) in China, with most commonly used RIs established without consideration of the effect of age and gender. The Pediatric Reference Intervals in China(PRINCE) project aims to establish and verify pediatric RIs for 31 common laboratory measurands.The project will be a large, multicenter cross-sectional study:14,490 healthy children and adolescents aged up to 19 years will be surveyed by 10 children's hospitals and one pediatric department of a university hospital. To evaluate the feasibility and efficiency of the study methods, 602 children were surveyed in the pilot phase of the PRINCE study in April 2017: it found that some measurands were distinctly age dependent and that there were differences between values for males and females. The results of the pilot study affirmed the necessity of the PRINCE project for Chinese pediatrics. The pilot also indicated potential difficulties in the full survey, e.g., difficulties in recruiting children aged under 3 years and insufficient collection of blood samples from infants. | 3 | Deep structure at northern margin of Tarim Basin显示文摘In this paper, a 2D velocity structure of the crust and the upper mantle of the northern margin of the Tarim Basin (TB) has been obtained by ray tracing and theoretical seismogram calculation under the condition of 2D lateral inhomogeneous medium using the data of seismic wide angle reflection/refraction profile from Baicheng to Da Qaidam crossing the Kuqa Depression (KD) and Tabei Uplift (TU). And along the Baicheng to Da Qaidam profile, 4 of the 10 shot points are located in the northern margin of the TB. The results show that the character of the crust is uniform on the whole between the KD and TU, but the depth of the layers, thickness of the crust and the velocity obviously vary along the profile. Thereinto, the variation of the crust thickness mainly occurs in the middle and lower crust. The Moho has an uplifting trend near the Baicheng shot point in KD and Luntai shot point in TU, and the thickness of the crust reduces to 42 km and 47 km in these two areas, respectively. The transition zone between the KD and TU has a thickest crust, up to 52 km. In this transition zone, there are high velocity anoma-lies in the upper crust, and low velocity anomalies in the lower crust, these velocity anomalies zone is near vertical, and the sediment above them is thicker than the other areas. According to the velocity distributions, the profile can be divided into three sections:KD, TU and transition zone between them. Each section has a special velocity structural feature, the form of the crystalline basement and the relationship between the deep structure and the shallow one. | 6 | Prediction of length-of-day using extreme learning machine显示文摘Traditional artificial neural networks(ANN) such as back-propagation neural networks(BPNN) provide good predictions of length-of-day(LOD). However, the determination of network topology is difficult and time consuming. Therefore, we propose a new type of neural network, extreme learning machine(ELM), to improve the efficiency of LOD predictions. Earth orientation parameters(EOP) C04 time-series provides daily values from International Earth Rotation and Reference Systems Service(IERS), which serves as our database. First, the known predictable effects that can be described by functional modelsdsuch as the effects of solid earth, ocean tides, or seasonal atmospheric variationsdare removed a priori from the C04 time-series. Only the residuals after the subtraction of a priori model from the observed LOD data(i.e., the irregular and quasi-periodic variations)are employed for training and predictions. The predicted LOD is the sum of a prior extrapolation model and the ELM predictions of the residuals. Different input patterns are discussed and compared to optimize the network solution. The prediction results are analyzed and compared with those obtained by other machine learning-based prediction methods, including BPNN, generalization regression neural networks(GRNN), and adaptive network-based fuzzy inference systems(ANFIS). It is shown that while achieving similar prediction accuracy, the developed method uses much less training time than other methods. Furthermore, to conduct a direct comparison with the existing prediction techniques, the mean-absolute-error(MAE) from the proposed method is compared with that from the EOP prediction comparison campaign(EOP PCC). The results indicate that the accuracy of the proposed method is comparable with that of the former techniques. | 8 | Moho offset beneath the central Bangong-Nujiang suture of Tibetan Plateau显示文摘By analyzing teleseismic waveforms recorded by 53 stations of Hi-Climb profile passing through the central Bangong-Nujiang suture(BNS) ,a total of 4764 high-quality receiver functions are obtained.The average crustal thickness and Poisson's ratio beneath each station are estimated using the travel time of Ps and PpPs of the Moho.The discontinuities such as the Moho,the 410and 660-km interfaces are also studied using the common converted points(CCP) time to depth migration of receiver functions. The main results are as follows:(1) The Moho of Lhasa terrane and that of Qiangtang terrane nearby BNS are overridden and offset by~10 km.The structural geometry shows a northward uplifting and the southward deepening for the Moho of Lhasa terrane and Qiangtang terrane,respectively,which is related to the reactivated structure beneath BNS since Cenozoic era.(2) The variation range of Poisson's ratios along the profile is between 0.237 and 0.280,indicating that the crust is mainly composed of felsic and intermediate rocks.The anti-correlation between the crustal thickness and Poisson's ratio suggests that thicker crust beneath the southern Qiangtang terrane may be related to the successive thrust of felsic and intermediate rock of Lhasa terrane.(3) The thickness of the mantle transition zone along the profile remains about 255 km,implying that the tectonic activities caused by the India-Asia collision are confined to the depths above 410 km. | XU Qiang ZHAO JunMeng CUI ZhongXiong PEI ShunPing LIU HongBing | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,7: | 4 |

| 12 | Prognostic value of systemic immune- inflammation index in acute/subacute patients with cerebral venous sinus thrombosis显示文摘Objective To evaluate the prognosis values of systemic immune-inflammation index(SII)in non-chronic cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(CVST).Methods patients with CVST,admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University,were retrospectively identified from January 2013 to December 2018.We selected patients in acute/subacute phase from database.Functional outcomes of patients were evaluated with the modified Rankin Scale(mRS)-mRS 3-6 as poor outcomes and mRS 6 as death.The overall survival time was defined as the date of onset to the date of death or last follow-up date.Survival analysis was described by the Kaplan-Meier curve and Cox regression analysis.Multivariate logistic regression analysis assessed the relationship between SII and poor functional outcome.The area under the Receiver Operating Curve curve(AUC)was estimated to evaluate the ability of SII in prediction.Results A total of 270 patients were included and their duration of follow-up was 22 months(6-66 months),of whom 31 patients had poor outcomes and 24 patients dead.Cox regression analysis showed that SII(HR=1.304,95%CI:1.101 to 1.703,p=0.001)was a predictor of death in non-chronic CVST.Patients with higher SII presented lower survival rates(p=0.003).The AUC of SII was 0.792(95%CI:0.695 to 0.888,p=0.040)with a sensitivity of 69.6%and specificity of 80.1%.Subgroups analysis demonstrated that SII was an important predictor of poor outcomes in male(OR=1.303,95%CI:1.102 to 1.501,p=0.011)and pregnancy/puerperium female(OR=1.407,95%CI:1.204 to 1.703,p=0.034).Conclusions SII was a potential predictor in the poor prognosis of patients with acute/subacute CVST,especially in male and pregnancy/puerperium female. | Shen Li Kai Liu Yuan Gao Lu Zhao Rui Zhang Hui Fang Yongli Tao Hongbing Liu Jiawei Zhao Zongping Xia Yuming Xu Bo Song | 2020 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,4: | 3 |
| 13 | Mechanically activated starch magnetic microspheres for Cd(Ⅱ)adsorption from aqueous solution显示文摘Magnetic starch microspheres(AAM-MSM)were synthesized via an inverse emulsion graft copolymerization by using mechanically activated cassava starch(MS)as a crude material,acrylic acid(AA)and acrylamide(AM)as graft copolymer monomers,and methyl methacrylate(MMA)as the dispersing agent and used as an adsorbent for the removal of Cd(Ⅱ)ions from aqueous solution.Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and vibrating sample magnetometry(VSM)were used to characterize the AAM-MSM adsorbent.The results indicated that AA,AM,and MMA were grafted to the MS,and the Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles were encapsulated in the AAM-MSM adsorbent microspheres.The adsorbent exhibited a smooth surface,uniform size,and good sphericity because of the addition of the MMA and provided more adsorption sites for the Cd(Ⅱ)ions.The maximum adsorption capacity of Cd(Ⅱ)on the AAM-MSM was 39.98 mg·g^(-1).The adsorbents were superparamagnetic,and the saturation magnetization was 16.7 A·m^(2)·kg^(-1).Additionally,the adsorption isotherms and kinetics of the adsorption process were further investigated.The process of Cd(Ⅱ)ions adsorbed onto the AAM-MSM could be described more favorably by the pseudo-second-order kinetic and Langmuir isothermal adsorption models,which suggested that the chemical reaction process dominated the adsorption process for the Cd(Ⅱ)and chemisorption was the rate-controlling step during the Cd(Ⅱ)removal process. | Xinling Xie Xiaona Zhao Xuan Luo Tongming Su Youquan Zhang Zuzeng Qin Hongbing Ji | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,5: | 3 |
| 14 | Identification of New Resistance Loci Against Sheath Blight Disease in Rice Through Genome-Wide Association Study显示文摘Sheath blight(SB) caused by the soil borne pathogen Rhizoctonia solani is one of the most serious global rice diseases. Breeding resistant cultivar is the most economical and effective strategy to control the disease. However, no rice varieties are completely resistant to SB, and only a few reliable quantitative trait loci(QTLs) linked with SB resistance have been identified to date. In this study, we conducted a genome-wide association study(GWAS) of SB resistance using 299 varieties from the rice diversity panel 1(RDP1) that were genotyped using 44 000 high-density single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) markers. Through artificial inoculation, we found that only 36.5% of the tested varieties displayed resistance or moderate resistance to SB. In particular, the aromatic and aus sub-populations displayed higher SB resistance than the tropical japonica(TRJ), indica and temperate japonica sub-populations. Seven varieties showed similar resistance levels to the resistant control YSBR1. GWAS identified at least 11 SNP loci significantly associated with SB resistance in the three independent trials, leading to the identification of two reliable QTLs, qSB-3 and qSB-6, on chromosomes 3 and 6. Using favorable alleles or haplotypes of significantly associated SNP loci, we estimated that both QTLs had obvious effects on reducing SB disease severity and can be used for enhancing SB resistance, especially in improving SB resistance of TRJ sub-population rice varieties. | 17 | 准噶尔盆地基底构造显示文摘我们已完成了穿越准噶尔盆地及其周边地区的I-I、II-II、III-III、IV-IV和额敏—哈密剖面5条综合地球物理剖面。通过综合研究,初步了解准噶尔盆地及邻近地区的地球动力学问题:准噶尔盆地基底由北部的乌伦古地体和南部的玛纳斯地体组成。两者的分界为西西北方向的滴水泉—三个泉缝合线。其西部与北东向Dalbutte缝合带相连,东部与北西向的Cranamary缝合带相连。准噶尔盆地北部的乌伦古地体基底为双层构造,上层为泥盆系和下石炭统组成的褶皱基底,大致表现为北厚(3~5 km)、南薄(1~2 km)。缝合线以南的玛纳斯地体为单层基底,即新元古代结晶基底。准噶尔盆地地壳厚度为44~52 km,北薄南厚。周边山区地壳厚度高于盆地地区。盆地及邻近地区地壳分为上、中、下层,并且中地壳一般较薄。盆地地区的地壳存在多条深断裂。南北方向发育了6条主要深断裂,分别为红车、德伦山、石溪、呼图壁、彩南和阜康。这些断层倾角较大,向上延伸至上地壳下部,向下切入地壳基底界面。壳内水平构造和构造面无明显垂向断层,似有“开放断层”特征。这些断层是上地幔物质挤入地壳的良好通道。此外,该地区还有两条主要的横向深断层。一是北西西走向的滴水泉—三个泉深断裂,它向南倾斜,具有逆断层性质,可能会破坏滴水泉—三个泉缝合带。另一条是近东西向的昌吉—玛纳斯深断裂,向南倾斜,主要发育在中下地壳,具有逆断层性质。这些深断裂对盆地构造发育具有一定的控制作用。准噶尔盆地西部的莫霍面基本连续地延伸到了天山的莫霍面,并且后者的莫霍面深度明显大于前者。但是,盆地东部的莫霍面与博格达山脉的莫霍面并不连续。前者以叠加关系延伸到后者之下,表明盆地东部的地壳向博格达山脉俯冲。这有助于解释天山东部构造活动相对减弱而博格达山脉向北推高的构造地貌现象。周边准噶尔盆地具有挤压盆地山地构造耦合格局,尤其是南部边界东部博格达—准东盆地的山地盆地构造耦合。现在将准噶尔盆地与吐哈盆地分开的博格达山脉是年轻的、仍在上升的山脉。博格达山的隆升是印支运动以来多次推覆造山运动的反映,其现貌是新近纪以来新构造运动的结果。准噶尔盆地盖层发育经历了3个阶段:与天山和松潘—甘孜造山带形成有关的二叠纪—三叠纪前陆盆地阶段,区域压缩较弱的侏罗纪—早始新世陆内坳陷阶段,以及新近纪晚期以来与天山抬升有关的活化前陆盆地阶段。 | Xiaojun WANG Yong SONG Baoli BIAN Junmeng ZHAO Heng ZHANG Maodu YAN Shunping PEI Qiang XU Shuaijun WANG Hongbing LIU Changhui JU | 2021 | 地学前缘2021,28,6: | 2 |
| 18 | Comparison of dimension reduction-based logistic regression models for case-control genome-wide association study:principal components analysis vs.partial least squares显示文摘With recent advances in biotechnology, genome-wide association study(GWAS) has been widely used to identify genetic variants that underlie human complex diseases and traits. In case-control GWAS, typical statistical strategy is traditional logistical regression(LR) based on single-locus analysis. However, such a single-locus analysis leads to the well-known multiplicity problem, with a risk of inflating type I error and reducing power. Dimension reduction-based techniques, such as principal component-based logistic regression(PC-LR), partial least squares-based logistic regression(PLS-LR), have recently gained much attention in the analysis of high dimensional genomic data. However, the perfor?mance of these methods is still not clear, especially in GWAS. We conducted simulations and real data application to compare the type I error and power of PC-LR, PLS-LR and LR applicable to GWAS within a defined single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) set region. We found that PC-LR and PLS can reasonably control type I error under null hypothesis.On contrast, LR, which is corrected by Bonferroni method, was more conserved in all simulation settings. In particular, we found that PC-LR and PLS-LR had comparable power and they both outperformed LR, especially when the causal SNP was in high linkage disequilibrium with genotyped ones and with a small effective size in simulation. | 19 | Are current Chinese national ambient air quality standards on 24-hour averages for particulate matter sufficient to protect public health?显示文摘With rapid economic development and urbanization in recent decades, China has experienced the worsening of ambient air quality. For better air quality management to protect human health, Chinese government revised national ambient air quality standards(NAAQS) for particulate matter(PM) in 2012(GB3095-2012). To assess the effectiveness of current NAAQS for PM on public health in Chinese population, we conducted a metaanalysis on published studies examining the mortality risk of short-term exposure to PM with aerodynamic diameters less than 10 and 2.5 μm(PM_(10) and PM_(2.5)) in China. The reported24-hour concentrations of PM_(10) and PM_(2.5) in studies ranged from 43.5 to 150.1 μg/m^3 and 37.5 to 176.7 μg/m^3. In the pooled excess, mortality risk estimates of short-term exposure to PM.In specific, per 10 μg/m^3 increase in PM_(10), we observed increases of 0.40%(95%CI: 0.33%,0.47%), 0.57%(95%CI: 0.44%, 0.70%) and 0.49%(95%CI: 0.40%, 0.58%) in total, respiratory and cardiovascular mortality, per 10 μg/m^3 increase in PM_(2.5), we observed increases of 0.51%(95%CI: 0.38%, 0.63%), 0.62%(95%CI: 0.52%, 0.73%) and 0.75%(95%CI: 0.54%, 0.95%) in total,respiratory and cardiovascular mortality. Finally, we derived 125 μg/m^3 for PM_(10) and 62.5 μg/m^3 for PM_(2.5) as 24-hour recommendation values based on the pooled estimates. Our results indicated that current Chinese NAAQS for PM could be sufficient in mitigating the excess mortality risk from short-term exposure to ambient PM. | 20 | Daylight and thermal performance of a switchable ethylene tetra-fluoro-ethylene cushion with dynamic control in different climates显示文摘Switchable multi-layer ethylene tetra-fluoro-ethylene(ETFE)cushion controls the natural light and heat flux passing through the cushion with varying outdoor conditions by dynamically modifying its properties.In this paper,the switchable ETFE cushions with ink printing of different optical and thermal properties were adopted as the window in a typical office model,and the indoor daylight and energy consumption were simulated by using Grasshopper software.Experimental model was built to validate the numerical model.Five locations representing five climate zones in China were selected to analyze the feasibility of the switchable ETFE cushion in different climates.The hourly indoor daylight and heat gain in a single day revealed the effects of the dynamic mechanism of ETFE cushion in improving indoor natural light and thermal environment.In addition,the annual daylight performance at the working area(1.5 m from the window)was simulated.ETFE cushion with printing of the lowest transmittance(ETFE1)was the optimal option for most cities and window-to-wall ratios,with the percentage of annual useful daylight hours up to 78.6%,except for the cases where the window-to-wall ratio(WWR)was 0.35 in Harbin,Beijing,and Hefei.The distribution of useful daylight hours revealed that ETFE cushions with low,medium,and high printing transmittance were suitable for offices where people work in the front,medium,and back region of the room,respectively.Energy consumption calculation revealed that ETFE1 showed advantages over other windows in most cities except for cities highly dominated by heating.ETFE1 delivered up to 33%of energy saving over a year in Kunming compared with the conventional double glazing but was not superior in cities with high heating and low cooling demands,such as Harbin. | Wanfang Zhao Wei He Zhongting Hu Xiaoyu Zheng Sheng Zhang Gaofei Xu Hongbing Chen Yanping Yuan | 2022 | Building Simulation2022,15,1: | 2 |
