| 1 | Sodium Tanshinone Ⅱ A Sulfonate Injection as Adjuvant Treatment for Unstable Angina Pectoris: A Meta-Analysis of 17 Randomized Controlled Trials显示文摘Objective: To systematically evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Sodium Tanshinone ⅡA Sulfonate Injection(STS) as one adjuvant therapy for treating unstable angina pectoris(UAP). Methods: Randomized controlled trials(RCTs) of UAP treated by STS were searched in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database(CNKI), VIP Database for Chinese Technical Periodicals(VIP), Wanfang Database, the Chinese Biomedical Literature Database(CBM), Web of Science, the Cochrane Library, Embase, and Pub Med, which from inception to January, 2016. The Cochrane Risk Assessment Tool was used to evaluate the methodological quality of the RCTs. The Review Manager 5.3 software was used to conduct the metaanalysis. Results: The results showed that 17 RCTs involving 1,372 patients were included. The meta-analysis indicated that the combined use of STS and Western medicine(WM) in the treatment of UAP can obviously improve the total effective rate [risk ratio(RR)=1.31, 95% confidence interval(CI)(1.24,1.39), P<0.0001], and the total effective rate of electrocardiogram [RR=1.43, 95% CI(1.30,1.56), P<0.0001], decrease the level of CRP [mean difference(MD)=–3.06, 95%CI(–3.85, –2.27), P<0.00001], fibrinogen [MD=–1.03, 95% CI(–1.16, –0.89), P<0.00001], and whole blood high shear viscosity [MD=–0.70, 95% CI(–0.92, –0.49), P<0.00001]. Additionally, the occurrence of adverse drug reaction of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group [RR=3.57, 95% CI(1.28, 9.94), P<0.05]. | 3 | Vascular endothelial growth factor concentration in vitreous humor of patients with severe proliferative diabetic retinopathy after intravitreal injection of conbercept as an adjunctive therapy for vitrectomy显示文摘Background:Proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR)is a progressive stage of diabetic retinopathy featured by the formation of neovascular and proliferative membrane.Vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)acts as a pivot factor in the development of neovascularization.This study was to investigate the changes of intravitreal VEGF concentrations of severe PDR after intravitreal injection of conbercept(IVC)and its potential advantages to the following vitrectomy.Methods:This was a prospective,interventional,randomized controlled study.Sixty eyes(60 patients)with severe PDR and 20 eyes from 20 patients with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment complicated with proliferative vitreoretinopathy were enrolled in this study.PDR eyes were randomly assigned to three groups by sortation randomization method with 20 eyes in each based on the interval of preoperative IVC(group A:7 days,group B:14 days,group C:non-IVC).Another 20 eyes without diabetes were enrolled as the non-diabetic control group(group D),receiving PPV directly.Vitreous specimens of all 80 patients were collected and evaluated afterwards.The intravitreal VEGF concentration of the four groups,and the total surgical time and the intraoperative bleeding rate of the PDR groups were recorded.Results:The mean intravitreal VEGF concentrations of groups A-D were 66.6±43.3,93.1±52.3,161.4±106.1 and 1.8±1.2 pg/mL,respectively.It increased significantly in PDR patients(groups A,B and C)(P=0.002,<0.001,and<0.001,respectively).PDR patients with preoperative IVC(groups A and B)presented significantly lower VEGF concentrations(P<0.001 and 0.001),intraoperative bleeding rates(P=0.004)and total surgical time(P<0.001,P=0.003)compared with group C.No statistical differences were presented between groups A and B on the three parameters.Conclusion:Seven days and 14 days of preoperative IVC are equally efficient and safe for the vitrectomy of severe PDR patients through decreasing vitreous VEGF concentrations,intraoperative bleeding rate and total surgical times. | Bing Li Meng-Da Li Jun-Jie Ye Zhe Chen Zi-Jian Guo Yu Di | 2020 | Chinese Medical Journal2020,,6: | 14 |

| 7 | Injections of ginkgo in the treatment of cerebral infarction: a systematic review and network Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To assess the clinical effectiveness and safety of injections of ginkgo(GI) combined with Western Medicine(WM) for cerebral infarction(CI).METHODS: Randomized controlled trials(RCTs) of CI treated by GI were searched in China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database, Wanfang, China Science and Technology Journal Database, Web of Science, Cochrane library, Embase, Pub Med and Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, with the publication data no later than April, 2016. The Cochrane risk of bias method was used to evaluate the methodological quality of the RCTs. The data were analyzed by Review Manager 5.3, Stata 13.0,and Win BUGS 14 software.RESULTS: Totally 37 RCTs involving 4330 patientswere included. By direct comparison, the results of GI group were significantly superior to the routine WM group in the total effective rates [OR = 3.61,95% CI(2.93, 4.44), P < 0.0001], the neural function defect score(NFDS) [MD =-4.39, 95% CI(-5.47,-3.32), P < 0.0001]. Network Meta-analysis(NMA)results showed that, between 5 GIs in efficacy, the difference comparing ginaton injections(Gb E) to ginkgo-dipyidamolum injections(GD) [OR = 1.74,95% CI(0.73, 3.65)], shuxuening injections(SXN)[OR = 1.06, 95% CI(0.609, 1.697)] or ginkgolides injections(GK) [OR = 4.711, 95% CI(1.178, 13.21)]reach statistical significance; the difference comparing GD to GK reach statistical significance [OR =2.791, 95% CI(0.866, 6.908)]; the difference comparing SXN to GK reach statistical significance[OR = 4.537, 95% CI(1.203, 12.41)]. Besides, there was no difference between 4 GIs in NFDS. Probability ranking result showed a great possibility for GK [Surface under the Cumulative Ranking curve(SUCRA) = 80.3%] in improving the total effective rates, which were followed by GD(SUCRA =73.34%), SXN(SUCRA = 46.59%), Gb E(SUCRA =45.46%), floium ginkgo extract and tertram ethypyrazine sodium chloride injections(FT)(SUCRA = 35.64%). However, GK(SUCRA = 80.3%) or Gb E(SUCRA = 69.4%) was better than other GIs in reducing NFDS.GK + WM is the best treatment measures to reduce NFDS in cerebral infarction,which were followed by SXN + WM(SUCRA =51.6%), GD + WM(SUCRA = 48.1%).CONCLUSION: GIs was more effectiveness on CI than the routine Western Medicine. Methods: RCTs concerning AP treated by GD were searched in China Biology Medicine Disc(SinoMed), PubMed, the China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database(CNKI), the Chinese Scientific Journals Database(VIP), Wanfang Database, Embase, and the Cochrane Library, from inception to February, 2017. The Cochrane Risk Assessment Tool was adopted to assess the methodological quality of the RCTs. The Review Manager 5.3 software was utilized to conduct the meta-analysis. Results: A total of 41 RCTs involving 4,462 patients were included in the meta-analysis. The results indicated that the combined use of GD and Western medicine(WM) against AP was associated with a higher total effective rate [risk ratio(RR)=1.25, 95% confidence interval(CI): 1.21–1.29, P<0.01], total effective rate of electrocardiogram(RR=1.29, 95% CI: 1.21–1.36, P<0.01). Additional, GD combined with WM could decrease the level of plasma viscosity [mean difference(MD)=–0.56, 95% CI: –0,81 to –0.30, P<0.01], fibrinogen [MD=–1.02, 95% CI: –1.50 to –0.54, P<0.01], whole blood low shear viscosity [MD=–2.27, 95% CI: –3.04 to –1.49, P<0.01], and whole blood high shear viscosity(MD=–0.90, 95% CI: 1.37 to –0.44, P<0.01). Conclusions: Comparing with receiving WM only, the combine use of GD and WM was associated with a better curative effect for patients with AP. | 12 | Fundus manifestations and HIV viral loads of AIDS patients before and after HAART显示文摘AIM: To investigate the fundus manifestations and human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) viral loads of acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS) patients before and after highly active antiretroviral therapy(HAART).METHODS: This retrospective study included 21 AIDS patients(42 eyes) who presented to the Department of Ophthalmology, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, from 2007 to 2011. Among the patients, 16 showed a good response to HAART, 3 presented drug resistance and 2 were pre-HAART. All patients underwent comprehensive ophthalmic examinations. The HIV viral loads and the CD4+ T-cell counts were also determined.RESULTS: The best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA) of 38 eyes(19 patients) was improved, and cytomegalovirus retinitis(CMVR) in 5 eyes(3 patients) regressed after HAART. Furthermore, 16 patients treated with effective HAART had decreased plasma HIV viral loads(<78 copies/mL)and increased CD4+ T-cell counts(343±161 cells/μL, P<0.005), but the HIV viral load in tears was still detected at 2404 copies/mL. The CD4+ T-cell count was lower in the CMVR group than in the non-CMVR group(P=0.022), but the HIV viral load in the tears was not significantly different between the two groups(P=0.439).CONCLUSION: Most patients with AIDS show a good viral response with a decreased HIV viral load and an increased CD4+ T-cell count in plasma after HAART. However, the HIV viral load remain quite high in the tear samples. | 13 | Effects of modified Wenjing decoction on microcirculation in reproductive organs in rats with symptom patterns of cold coagulation and blood stasis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the relationship between symptom patterns of cold coagulation and blood stasis(CCBS) and microcirculation disturbance. In addition, we determined the efficacy of modified Wenjing decoction(WJD) for the treatment of CCBS.METHODS: CCBS was induced in rats with an icewater bath treatment. The ovarian function, microvascular and circulatory status of reproductive organs, and function of local microvascular endothelial cells(VECs) and vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs) were evaluated.RESULTS: Ovarian dysfunction was observed in the rats with CCBS. It was characterized by the presence of an estrous cycle disorder and a decrease in reproductive hormone levels. Microvascular circulation disorders were associated with an imbalance in vasoconstriction, relaxation substances, nitric oxide, abnormal blood flow in whole blood, and decreased blood flow in the auricle and uterus. VECs were damaged, and VSMCs contracted and proliferated in ovarian and uterine tissues.CONCLUSION: Our findings suggest that the dysfunctional reproductive organs observed in gynecological CCBS may be closely related to the microcirculation disturbance of local tissues, microvascular contraction, and vascular remodeling. | 14 | Intensity distribution function and statistical properties of fast radio bursts显示文摘Fast Radio Bursts(FRBs) are intense radio flashes from the sky that are characterized by millisecond durations and Jansky-level flux densities. We carried out a statistical analysis on FRBs that have been discovered. Their mean dispersion measure, after subtracting the contribution from the interstellar medium of our Galaxy, is found to be ~ 660 pc cm^(-3), supporting their being from a cosmological origin. Their energy released in the radio band spans about two orders of magnitude, with a mean value of ~ 10^(39) erg. More interestingly, although the study of FRBs is still in a very early phase, the published collection of FRBs enables us to derive a useful intensity distribution function. For the 16 non-repeating FRBs detected by the Parkes telescope and the Green Bank Telescope, the intensity distribution can be described as d N/d F_(obs) =(4.1 ± 1.3) × 10~3F_(obs)^(-1.1±0.2) sky^(-1)d^(-1), where Fobs is the observed radio fluence in units of Jy ms. Here the power-law index is significantly flatter than the expected value of2.5 for standard candles distributed homogeneously in a flat Euclidean space. | 15 | Genomic footprints of Kam Sweet Rice domestication indicate possible migration routes of theDongpeople inChina andprovide resources for future rice breeding显示文摘The Dong people are one of China’s 55 recognized ethnic minorities,but there has been a long-standing debate about their origins.In this study,we performed whole-genome resequencing of Kam Sweet Rice(KSR),a valuable,rare,and ancient rice landrace unique to the Dong people.Through comparative genomic analyses of KSR and other rice landraces from south of the Yangtze River Basin in China,we provide evidence that the ancestors of the Dong people likely originated from the southeast coast of China at least 1000 years ago.Alien introgression and admixture in KSR demonstrated multiple migration events in the history of the Dong people.Genomic footprints of domestication demonstrated characteristics of KSR that arose from artificial selection and geographical adaptation by the Dong people.The key genes GS3,Hd1,and DPS1(related to agronomic traits)and LTG1 and MYBS3(related to cold tolerance)were identified as domestication targets,reflecting crop improvement and changes in the geographical environment of the Dong people during migration.A genome-wide association study revealed a candidate yield-associated gene,Os01g0923300,a specific haplotype in KSR that is important for regulating grain number per panicle.RNA-sequencing and quantitative reverse transcription-PCR results showed that this gene was more highly expressed in KSR than in ancestral populations,indicating that it may have great value in increasing yield potential in other rice accessions.In summary,our work develops a novel approach for studying human civilization and migration patterns and provides valuable genomic datasets and resources for future breeding of high-yield and climate-resilient rice varieties. | Chunhui Liu Tianyi Wang Huicha Chen Xiaoding Ma Chengzhi Jiao Di Cui Bing Han Xiaobing Li Aixia Jiao Renchao Ruan Dayuan Xue Yanjie Wang Longzhi Han | 2023 | Molecular Plant2023,16,2: | 3 |
| 16 | Pharmacodynamic study on insomnia-curing effects of Shuangxia Decoction in Drosophila melanogaster显示文摘The present study aimed to establish a pharmacodynamic method using the py Solo software to explore the influence of freeze-dried powders of Shuangxia Decoction(SXD) on the sleep of normal Drosophila melanogaster and the Drosophila melanogaster whose sleep was divested by light. The dose-effect and the time-effect relationships of SXD on sleep were examined. The effect-onset concentration of SXD was 0.25%, the plateau appeared at the concentration of 2.5% and the total sleep time showed a downtrend when the concentration was greater than 2.5%. The sleep time was the longest on the fourth day after SXD was given. The fruit fly sleep deprivation model was repeated by light stimulation at night. The middle dosage group(2.5%) had the best insomnia-curing effect. In conclusion, using the py Solo software, an approach for the pharmacodynamics study was established with Drosophila melanogaster as a model organism to determine the insomnia-curing effects of the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM). Our results demonstrated the reliability of this method.
