| 1 | High precision landing site mapping and rover localization for Chang'e-3 mission显示文摘This paper presents the comprehensive results of landing site topographic mapping and rover localization in Chang’e-3 mission.High-precision topographic products of the landing site with extremely high resolutions(up to 0.05 m)were generated from descent images and registered to CE-2 DOM.Local DEM and DOM with 0.02 m resolution were produced routinely at each waypoint along the rover traverse.The lander location was determined to be(19.51256°W,44.11884°N,-2615.451 m)using a method of DOM matching.In order to reduce error accumulation caused by wheel slippage and IMU drift in dead reckoning,cross-site visual localization and DOM matching localization methods were developed to localize the rover at waypoints;the overall traveled distance from the lander is 114.8 m from cross-site visual localization and 111.2 m from DOM matching localization.The latter is of highest accuracy and has been verified using a LRO NAC image where the rover trajeactory is directly identifiable.During CE-3 mission operations,landing site mapping and rover localization products including DEMs and DOMs,traverse maps,vertical traverse profiles were generated timely to support teleoperation tasks such as obstacle avoidance and rover path planning. | LIU ZhaoQin DI KaiChang PENG Man WAN WenHui LIU Bin LI LiChun YU TianYi WANG BaoFeng ZHOU JianLiang CHEN HongMin | 2015 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2015,58,1: | 15 |

This paper presents the key techniques of visual SLAM, summarizes the current research status, and analyses the new trends of visual SLAM research and development. | 6 | Hydrocode Simulation of the Impact Melt Layer Distribution underneath Xiuyan Crater, China显示文摘In this research, we studied the distribution of impact melt layers underneath Xiuyan crater using hydrocode simulation. The target was modeled by granite based on the rock type distribution around the crater and projector by iron, because most small and isolated terrestrial craters are formed by iron projectile. The simulated crater diameter and depth are 1 710 and 320 m, respectively, which are in good agreement with observations of 1 800 and 307 m(except for the postimpact lacustrine sedimentation). The validated model shows that impact melt materials were first formed along the transient crater floor and wall by highshock pressure, and then refilled inward the crater along with collapse of the crater wall. | 15 | REMOTE SENSING IMAGE CLASSIFICATION WITH GIS DATA BASED ON SPATIAL DATA MINING TECHNIQUES显示文摘Data mining techniques are used to discover knowledge from GIS database in order to improve remote sensing image classification.Two learning granularities are proposed for inductive learning from spatial data,one is spatial object granularity,the other is pixel granularity.We also present an approach to combine inductive learning with conventional image classification methods,which selects class probability of Bayes classification as learning attributes.A land use classification experiment is performed in the Beijing area using SPOT multi_spectral image and GIS data.Rules about spatial distribution patterns and shape features are discovered by C5.0 inductive learning algorithm and then the image is reclassified by deductive reasoning.Comparing with the result produced only by Bayes classification,the overall accuracy increased by 11% and the accuracy of some classes,such as garden and forest,increased by about 30%.The results indicate that inductive learning can resolve spectral confusion to a great extent.Combining Bayes method with inductive learning not only improves classification accuracy greatly,but also extends the classification by subdividing some classes with the discovered knowledge. | Di Kaichang Li Deren Li Deyi | 2000 | Geo-Spatial Information Science2000,3,4: | 0 |

| 17 | Progresses and prospects of impact crater studies显示文摘Crater is a geologic structure in solid bodies(including the terrestrial planets, moons, and asteroids) formed by hyperspeed impact, and the impact process is extremely important to the formation and evolution of these celestial bodies. This paper presents a review of the studies on remote sensing observation, formation mechanism, and scientific application of craters. On the remote sensing study of craters, the topographic characteristics of the micro-craters, simple craters, complex craters, and impact basins are described,the related parameters in the morphological studies of craters are subsequently introduced, and the distribution characteristics of the minerals and rock types during the impact excavation process are analyzed,the methods of crater identification and the crater databases on the Moon, Mars, Ceres, and Vesta are summarized. On the studies of crater formation mechanism, the general formation process of the craters is firstly described, and then the most frequently used methods are presented, and the importance of the empirical equations is also elucidated. On the scientific applications of the craters, the principle and currently utilization of the planetary surface dating method with crater size-frequency distribution are firstly presented, and the applications, including modeling the lunar regolith formation and thickness derivation of both the regolith and basalt, are reviewed.
