| 1 | Evaluation of the Trend Uncertainty in Summer Ozone Valley over the Tibetan Plateau in Three Reanalysis Datasets显示文摘Trend uncertainty in the ozone valley over the Tibetan Plateau(OVTP)and the South Asian high(SAH)during1979–2009 in ERA-Interim(interim reanalysis data from the ECMWF),JRA-55(55-yr reanalysis data from the Japan Meteorological Agency),and NCEP-CFSR(Climate Forecast System Reanalysis)datasets was evaluated.The results showed that the NCEP-CFSR OVTP became strong in the summers of 1979–2009,whereas it became weak according to ERA-Interim and JRA-55.Satellite data merged with TOMS(Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer)and OMI(Ozone Monitoring Instrument)agreed with the OVTP trend of NCEP-CFSR.The OVTP strengthening in NCEP-CFSR may have been caused by SAH intensification,a rising tropopause,and increasing ozone over non-TP(non-Tibetan Plateau)areas(27°–37°N,<75°E and>105°E).Analogously,the OVTP weakening in ERA-Interim and JRA-55 may have been affected by weakening SAH,descending tropopause,and decreasing non-TP ozone. | Dong GUO Yucheng SU Xiuji ZHOU Jianjun XU Chunhua SHI Yu LIU Weiliang LI Zhenkun LI | 2017 | Journal of Meteorological Research2017,31,2: | 13 |
| 2 | High-Q whispering gallery modes in a polymer microresonator with broad strain tuning显示文摘We have reported the high-Q whispering gallery modes(WGMs) in a polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) optical microresonators with broad tuning range. The PDMS microresonators are fabricated at the center of two collimating fiber tips, which can be controlled by the piezoelectric stage. Through stretching the fiber stem, the tuning range of WGMs are demonstrated more than 50 nm.Further investigations demonstrated that the WGM shift has a high force sensitivity(~ 19.7 pm/μN) of the gravitation when the microcavity is stretched by a weight. | 3 | A mechanically tuned Kerr comb in a dispersion-engineered silica microbubble resonator显示文摘This paper discusses the developement and investigation of a silica microbubble resonator(MBR) that is optimized to cancel mode dispersion with material dispersion, at a wavelength of approximately 1550 nm and maintain a quality factor of an optical mode as large as 5.4 × 10~7. Benefitting from the near-zero dispersion and high quality factor, a primary optical comb is generated in the MBR using cascaded four-wave mixing processes, which span over 300 nm with several tens of teeth. Furthermore, the frequency comb could be gradually tuned by mechanically stretching the MBR. | 5 | Optomechanical interfaces for hybrid quantum networks显示文摘Recent advances on optical control of mechanical motion in an optomechanical resonator have stimulated strong interests in exploring quantum behaviors of otherwise classical, macroscopic mechanical systems and especially in exploiting mechanical degrees of freedom for applications in quantum information processing.In an optomechanical resonator, an optically- active mechanical mode can couple to any of the optical resonances supported by the resonator via radiation pressure. his unique property leads to a remarkable phenomenon: mechanically-mediated conversion of optical ields between vastly diferent wavelengths. he resulting optomechanical interfaces can play a special role in a hybrid quantum network, enabling quantum communication between disparate quantum systems. In this review, we introduce the basic concepts of optomechanical interactions and discuss recent theoretical and experimental progresses in this ield. | 6 | Interconversion of photon-phonon in a silica optomechanical microresonator显示文摘In an optomechanical resonator, the optical and mechanical excitations can be coherently converted, which induces a transparency window for a weak probe laser beam. Here, we report an experimental study of transient optomechanically induced transparency(OMIT) using the silica microsphere with the breathing modes. The transient OMIT behavior obtained are in good agreement with theoretical calculations. In addition, the coherent interconversion between optical and mechanical excitations that can be used for light storage and readout has also been studied here. | 7 | Evaluating the Brewer–Dobson circulation and its responses to ENSO,QBO,and the solar cycle in different reanalyses显示文摘This study compares the climatology and long-term trend of northern winter stratospheric residual mean meridional circulation(RMMC), as well as its responses to El Ni?o-Southern Oscillation(ENSO), stratospheric Quasi Biennial Oscillation(QBO), and solar cycle in ten reanalyses and a stratosphere-resolving model, CESM1-WACCM. The RMMC is a large-scale meridional circulation cell in the stratosphere, usually referred to as the estimate of the Brewer Dobson circulation(BDC). The distribution of the BDC is generally consistent among multiple reanalyses except that the NOAA twentieth century reanalysis(20RC) largely underestimates it. Most reanalyses(except ERA40 and ERA-Interim) show a strengthening trend for the BDC during 1979–2010. All reanalyses and CESM1-WACCM consistently reveal that the deep branch of the BDC is significantly enhanced in El Ni?o winters as more waves from the troposphere dissipate in the stratospheric polar vortex region. A secondary circulation cell is coupled to the temperature anomalies below the QBO easterly center at 50 hPa with tropical upwelling/cooling and midlatitude downwelling/warming, and similar secondary circulation cells also appear between 50–10 hPa and above 10 hPa to balance the temperature anomalies. The direct BDC response to QBO in the upper stratosphere creates a barrier near 30°N to prevent waves from propagating to midlatitudes, contributing to the weakening of the polar vortex. The shallow branch of the BDC in the lower stratosphere is intensified during solar minima, and the downwelling warms the Arctic lower stratosphere. | 8 | Different self-assembly behaviors of mono-modified β-cyclodextrin substituted by benzoic acid derivatives显示文摘The mono-modified β-cyclodextrin derivative,6-O-(4-aminobenzoyl)-β-cyclodextrin(1) ,was synthesized and characterized. We compared its self-assembling behavior with structurally related β-cyclodextrin derivative,6-O-(4-hydroxybenzoyl)-βcyclodextrin(2) ,in aqueous solution and in the solid state using NMR spectroscopy and single crystal X-ray structure analysis. | 13 | Squeezing bandwidth controllable twin beam light and phase sensitive nonlinear interferometer based on atomic ensembles显示文摘We review our recent experimental progress in quantum technology employing amplification effect of four-wave mixing in a rubidium vapor. We have produced an intensity difference squeezed light source at frequencies as low as 1.5 kHz which is so far the lowest frequency at which squeezing has been observed in an atomic system. Moreover, we find that the bandwidth of our squeezed light source can be controlled with light intensity pumping. Using our non-classical light source, we have further developed a nonlinear Mach-Zehnder (MZ) interferometer, for which the maximum fringe intensity depends quadratically on the intensity of the phase-sensing field at the high-gain regime, leading to much better sensitivity than a linear MZ interferometer in which the beam splitters have the same phase-sensing intensity. | 17 | Rapid response of brain metastasis to crizotinib in a patient with KLC1-ALK fusion and MET gene amplification positive non-small cell lung cancer:a case report显示文摘Non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) ranks as the leading cause of cancer-related death in the world. Brain metastasis(BM) is a common complication of NSCLC, with 25%–40% of patients developing BM during the course of the disease. A significant strategy of local disease control in the central nervous system is radiation therapy. With the development of precision medicine,the concept of treating lung cancer BM has gradually changed. In this case, we performed a surgical procedure to obtain enough tumor tissue for the detection of the target gene and other related experiments after the patient was informed. Finally, we found that the patient had both hepatocyte growth factor receptor(MET) gene amplification and kinesin light chain 1-anaplastic lymphoma kinase fusion(KLC1-ALK) through next-generation sequencing and showed sensitivity to the targeted therapy of crizotinib. The patient exhibited good response. | 18 | The curvature of cucumber fruits is associated with spatial variation in auxin accumulation and expression of a YUCCA biosynthesis gene显示文摘Fruit curving lowers the commercial value of cucumber and leads to significant economic losses.The mechanism driving the abnormal curving of cucumber is largely unknown.Through our previous work,we discovered that 2 days post-anthesis(DPA)was the key time point at which various phenotypic and genotypic characteristics of cucumber fruits are determined.Here,we analyzed the transcriptome of the concave(C1)and convex(C2)sides of curved fruits at 2 DPA by Gene Ontology(GO)enrichment and functional pathway enrichment analyses and identified auxin as a putative factor influencing fruit curvature.Changes in the curve angle in the fruits and exogenous auxin treatment analyses showed that asymmetric auxin distribution induces fruit curving.Identification of differentially expressed genes(DEGs)related to auxin and qPCR validation showed that CsYUC10b had the most significant differential expression when both sides of the curved fruits were compared.Gene functional analysis showed that the transcript levels of CsYUC10b and the auxin concentration were even on both sides of the fruit in CsYUC10b-overexpressing plants,which in turn contributed to an equal rate of growth of both sides of cucumber fruits and resulted in a straight shape of the fruits.Thus,we conclude that CsYUC10b promotes the formation of straight cucumber fruits,with possible applications in the production and breeding of cucumber. | Shengnan Li Chunhua Wang Xiuyan Zhou Dong Liu Chunhong Liu Jie Luan Zhiwei Qin Ming Xin | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 1 |
