1Carbonyl emissions from heavy-duty diesel vehicle exhaust in China and the contribution to ozone formation potential显示文摘Fifteen heavy-duty diesel vehicles were tested on chassis dynamometer by using typical heavy duty driving cycle and fuel economy cycle. The air from the exhaust was sampled by 2,4-dinitrophenyhydrazine cartridge and 23 carbonyl compounds were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography. The average emission factor of carbonyls was 97.2 mg/km, higher than that of light-duty diesel vehicles and gasoline-powered vehicles. Formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acetone and propionaldehyde were the species with the highest emission factors. Main influencing factors for carbonyl emissions were vehicle type, average speed and regulated emission standard, and the impact of vehicle loading was not evident in this study. National emission of carbonyls from diesel vehicles exhaust was calculated for China, 2011, based on both vehicle miles traveled and fuel consumption. Carbonyl emission of diesel vehicle was estimated to be 45.8 Gg, and was comparable to gasolinepowered vehicles(58.4 Gg). The emissions of formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and acetone were 12.6, 6.9, 3.8 Gg, respectively. 4Epidemiological investigation of Helicobacter pylori infection in elderly people in Beijing显示文摘BACKGROUND The Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection rate in China is approximately 50%.H.pylori is a pathogenic factor of peptic ulcer and chronic gastritis.In addition,H.pylori infection may also be associated with a variety of cardiovascular diseases in elderly people,such as arteriosclerosis,coronary heart disease,and cerebral infarction,having deleterious effect on their health.With the aging of the population,the disease characteristics of the elderly population have been increasingly valued by the whole society.We conducted an epidemiological survey of H.pylori infection among elderly people in Beijing to provide a basis for health management of H.pylori infection.AIM To understand the epidemiological characteristics of H.pylori infection in elderly people in Beijing.METHODS A total of 1090 elderly people aged more than 60 years from different parts of Beijing(urban and rural areas)were selected using the random cluster sampling method.Structured questionnaires were completed during home visits and the 13C-urea breath test was conducted for H.pylori detection.RESULTS The prevalence of H.pylori infection was 46.5%(507/1090).The infection rate in men was 51.8%,which was significantly higher than that in women(42.5%;P<0.05).The H.pylori infection rate in illiterate people was significantly higher than that in literate persons(53.5%vs 44.8%,P<0.05).The total infection rate of H.pylori gradually increased with age and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The H.pylori infection rate in smokers was significantly higher than that in non-smokers and those who had quit smoking(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The prevalence of H.pylori infection among elderly people is 46.5%and the infection rate gradually increases with age.Sex,education level,age,and smoking were determined to be H.pylori infection risk factors.The relationship of H.pylori infection with region,occupation,drinking,and diet structure needs to be further studied.Hong-Ming Zhu Bang-Yi Li Zhe Tang Jing She Xue-Ying Liang Li-Kou Dong Mei Zhang 2020World Journal of Clinical Cases2020,8,11:11

7Sensitivity-enhanced surface plasmon resonance sensor utilizing a tungsten disulfide (WS_2) nanosheets overlayer显示文摘Tungsten disulfide(WS_2), as a representative layered transition metal dichalcogenide(TMDC) material, possesses important potential for applications in highly sensitive sensors. Here, a sensitivity-enhanced surface plasmon resonance(SPR) sensor with a metal film modified by an overlayer of WS_2 nanosheets is proposed and demonstrated. The SPR sensitivity is related to the thickness of the WS_2 overlayer, which can be tailored by coating a WS_2 ethanol suspension with different concentrations or by the number of times of repeated post-coating.Benefitting from its large surface area, high refractive index, and unique optoelectronic properties, the WS_2 nanosheet overlayer coated on the gold film significantly improves the sensing sensitivity. The highest sensitivity(up to 2459.3 nm∕RIU) in the experiment is achieved by coating the WS_2 suspension once. Compared to the case without a WS_2 overlayer, this result shows a sensitivity enhancement of 26.6%. The influence of the WS_2 nanosheet overlayer on the sensing performance improvement is analyzed and discussed. Moreover, the proposed WS_2 SPR sensor has a linear correlation coefficient of 99.76% in refractive index range of 1.333 to 1.360. 8Advances in crop phenotyping and multi-environment trials显示文摘Efficient evaluation of crop phenotypes is a prerequisite for breeding, cultivar adoption, genomics and phenomics study. Plant genotyping is developing rapidly through the use of high-throughput sequencing techniques,while plant phenotyping has lagged far behind and it has become the rate-limiting factor in genetics, large-scale breeding and development of new cultivars. In this paper,we consider crop phenotyping technology under three categories. The first is high-throughput phenotyping techniques in controlled environments such as greenhouses or specifically designed platforms. The second is a phenotypic strengthening test in semi-controlled environments, especially for traits that are difficult to be tested in multi-environment trials(MET), such as lodging, drought and disease resistance. The third is MET in uncontrolled environments, in which crop plants are managed according to farmer's cultural practices. 9Genomic insights into the fast growth of paulownias and the formation of Paulownia witches' broom显示文摘Paulownias are among the fastest growing trees in the world,but they often suffer tremendous loss of wood production due to infection by Paulownia witches'broom(PaWB)phytoplasmas.In this study,we have sequenced and assembled a high-quality nuclear genome of Paulownia fortunei,a commonly cultivated paulownia species.The assembled genome of P.fortunei is 511.6 Mb in size,with 93.2%of its sequences anchored to 20 pseudo-chromosomes,and it contains 31985 protein-coding genes.Phylogenomic analyses show that the family Paulowniaceae is sister to a clade composed of Phrymaceae and Orobanchaceae.Higher photosynthetic efficiency is achieved by integrating C3 photosynthesis and the crassulacean acid metabolism pathway,which may contribute to the extremely fast growth habit of paulownia trees.Comparative transcriptome analyses reveal modules related to cambial growth and development,photosynthesis,and defense responses.Additional genome sequencing of PaWB phytoplasma,combined with functional analyses,indicates that the effector PaWB-SAP54 interacts directly with Paulownia PfSPLa,which in turn causes the degradation of PfSPLa by the ubiquitin-mediated pathway and leads to the formation of witches'broom.Taken together,these results provide significant insights into the biology of paulownias and the regulatory mechanism for the formation of PaWB.Yabing Cao Guiling Sun Xiaoqiao Zhai Pingluo Xu Liming Ma Minjie Deng Zhenli Zhao Haibo Yang Yanpeng Dong Zhonghai Shang Yujie Lv Lijun Yan Haifang Liu Xibing Cao Bingbing Li Zhe Wang Xiaogai Zhao Haiyan Yu Fan Wang Wen Ma Jinling Huang Guoqiang Fan 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,10:7

12Fedora-type magnetic compression anastomosis device for intestinal anastomosis显示文摘BACKGROUND Although previous studies have confirmed the feasibility of magnetic compression anastomosis(MCA),there is still a risk of long-term anastomotic stenosis.For traditional MCA devices,a large device is associated with great pressure,and eventually increased leakage.AIM To develop a novel MCA device to simultaneously meet the requirements of pressure and size.METHODS Traditional nummular MCA devices of all possible sizes were used to conduct ileac anastomosis in rats.The mean(±SD)circumference of the ileum was 13.34±0.12 mm.Based on short-and long-term follow-up results,we determined the appropriate pressure range and minimum size.Thereafter,we introduced a novel“fedora-type”MCA device,which entailed the use of a nummular magnet with a larger sheet metal.RESULTS With traditional MCA devices,the anastomoses experienced stenosis and even closure during the long-term follow-up when the anastomat was smaller thanΦ5 mm.However,the risk of leakage increased when it was larger thanΦ4 mm.On comparison of the different designs,it was found that the“fedora-type”MCA device should be composed of aΦ4-mm nummular magnet with aΦ6-mm sheet metal.CONCLUSION The diameter of the MCA device should be greater than 120%of the enteric diameter.The novel“fedora-type”MCA device controls the pressure and optimizes the size.Huan Chen Tao Ma Yue Wang Hao-Yang Zhu Zhe Feng Rong-Qian Wu Yi Lv Ding-Hui Dong 2020World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,42:7
13Age-period-cohort analysis of pulmonary tuberculosis reported incidence, China, 2006-2020显示文摘Background:Tuberculosis(TB)poses a severe public health challenge in China and worldwide.This study evaluated the effects of age,period,and birth cohort on reported incidence trends of TB based on population and refined the characteristics of high-risk groups.Methods:Aggregate data that reported pulmonary tuberculosis(PTB)cases from China Tuberculosis Management Information System(TBIMS)from 2006 to 2020 were used to analyze effect coefficients through the age-period-cohort(APC)model based on intrinsic estimator(IE)method,and converted them into relative risk(RR)to estimate trends.Results:A total of 14.82 million cases of PTB were reported in China from 2006 to 2020,showing a continuous downward trend.The reporting rate increased with age by age group,with 70-74 years old being 2-3 times higher than that in 20-24 years old.APC analysis model showed that age effects were bimodal in 20-24 years old[RR=2.29,95%confidence interval(CI):1.73-3.03]and 70-74 years old(RR=1.95,95%CI:1.67-2.27),and lower than the overall average in the groups under 15 years old.Stratified results showed that the risk was higher for women under age 40 than men and higher for men over 40.The risk was higher in urban than in rural areas under 30 years old and slightly higher in rural than in urban between 30 and 64 years old.The risk for 15-34 years old was significantly higher in the east than in other regions.The period effects showed a decreasing trend,and the risk was higher in rural in recent years.Except for cohorts born in 1961-1965 and 2001-2005,where theRR increased,the later the cohort was born,the lower the risk.The cohort 1926-1930 in eastern had the highest risk(RR=3.49,95%CI:2.44-4.98).Conclusions:The reported incidence of PTB continued to decline in China from 2006 to 2020.The young(20-24 years old)and the elderly(70-74 years old)were equally at high risk.There were differences in the age,period and cohort effects on PTB incidence among gender,urban-rural and regions.Our findings better reflected the characteristics of high-risk populations,thus contributing to the development of timely and effective intervention strategies,and providing clues for etiological research.Zhe Dong Qi-Qi Wang Shi-Cheng Yu Fei Huang Jian-Jun Liu Hong-Yan Yao Yan-Lin Zhao 2022Infectious Diseases of Poverty2022,11,4:7

16Effect of decarburization annealing temperature and time on the carbon content, microstructure, and texture of grain-oriented pure iron显示文摘In this study,the effect of decarburization annealing temperature and time on the carbon content,microstructure,and texture of grain-oriented pure iron was investigated by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy with electron-backscatter diffraction. The results showed that the efficiency of decarburization dramatically increased with increasing decarburization temperature. However,when the annealing temperature was increased to 825°C and 850°C,the steel's carbon content remained essentially unchanged at 0.002%. With increasing decarburization time,the steel's carbon content generally decreased. When both the decarburization temperature and time were increased further,the average grain size dramatically increased and the number of fine grains decreased; meanwhile,some relatively larger grains developed. The main texture types of the decarburized sheets were approximately the same: {001}<110> and {112~115}<110>,with a γ-fiber texture. Furthermore,little change was observed in the texture. Compared with the experimental sheets,the texture of the cold-rolled sheet was very scattered. 17Effect of tin addition on corrosion behavior of a low-alloy steel in simulated costal-industrial atmosphere显示文摘The effect of tin addition on the atmospheric corrosion behavior of a low-alloy steel in sim ulated coastalindustrial atm osphere has been investigated by indoor wet/dry cyclic corrosion test (CCT). The results indicate that tin addition can obviously make the steel substrate more resistant to atmospheric corrosion by suppressing the cathodic H^+ reduction reaction, and but tin addition is not of obvious beneficial effect when the steel is covered with a thicker rust layer during long-term corrosion process. The reason lies in the fact that the presence of un-reduced H^+ can lower the electrolyte pH value and lead to a loose and porous rust layer on tin-containing steel sample than that on tin-free steel sample. In addition, the 120 CCT cycles corrosion process of the two steels can be divided into three stages. Both the tin-free and tin-containing steels show an increasing corrosion rate during the initial corrosion stage and then exhibit a decreasing corrosion rate during the second and third corrosion stages. 18Study on the correlation and predictive value of serum pregnancyassociated plasma protein A, triglyceride and serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels with gestational diabetes mellitus显示文摘BACKGROUND Gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)is a concern due to its rapid increase in incidence in recent years.AIM To investigate the correlation and predictive value of serum pregnancyassociated plasma protein A(PAPP-A),triglyceride(TG),and 25-hydroxyvitamin D[25-(OH)D]with GDM in early pregnancy.METHODS A total of 99 patients in early pregnancy admitted to Peking University International Hospital from November 2015 to September 2017 were included,and underwent a fasting glucose test and oral glucose tolerance test screening at 24-28 wk of pregnancy.Of these cases with GDM,51 were assigned to group A and the remaining 48 cases without GDM were enrolled in group B.Serum PAPP-A,TG and 25-(OH)D in the two groups were compared and their correlation with blood sugar was analyzed.In addition,their diagnostic value in GDM was determined using receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis.RESULTS Group A had markedly lower serum PAPP-A and 25-(OH)D levels and a significantly higher serum TG level than group B,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Furthermore,Pearson analysis identified that PAPP-A and 25-(OH)D levels were negatively correlated with fasting blood glucose(FBG)levels(r=-0.605,P<0.001),(r=-0.597,P<0.001),while TG and FBG levels were positively correlated(r=0.628,P<0.001).The sensitivity,specificity,area under the curve(AUC)and optimal cut-off value of serum PAPP-A level in the diagnosis of GDM were 72.55%,82.35%,0.861 and 16.340,respectively,while the sensitivity of TG in diagnosing GDM was 86.27%,the specificity was 66.67%,the AUC was 0.813,with an optimal cut-off value of 1.796.The corresponding sensitivity,specificity,AUC and optimal cut-off value of serum 25-(OH)D were 64.71%,70.59%,0.721 and 23.140,respectively.Moreover,multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that FBG,vascular endothelial growth factor,Flt-1,serum PAPP-A,TG,and 25-(OH)D were related risk factors leading to GDM in patients.CONCLUSION Serum PAPP-A,TG,and 25-(OH)D levels are all correlated with blood glucose changes in GDM,and are independent factors affecting the occurrence of GDM and have certain value in the diagnosis of GDM.Zhuo Ren Dong Zhe Zhi Li Xin-Ping Sun Kai Yang Li Lin 2020World Journal of Clinical Cases2020,8,5:6

Despite improving the frequency band,the conventional microwave communication technique has difficulty satisfying the increased demand for the enormous volume of scientific data returning to the Earth. With a carrier frequency that is several orders of magnitude higher than the microwave, free-space optical communication is a robust and promising method for achieving both high bit rates and long distances in deep space communication. In this article, the history of this technology is summarized and the objective laws are formulated, while key techniques and development trends are analyzed. 20Research progress of photocatalysis based on highly dispersed titanium in mesoporous SiO_2显示文摘With the development of the human economy and green chemistry, people pay much more attention to environmental safety. Correspondingly, mesoporous TiO_2 and its correlated photocatalysts are able to help people seek for better life. In this review, first of all, we briefly introduce the preparations and applications of mesoporous TiO_2-SiO_2 materials, which exhibit excellent performance in pollutants decomposition and H_2 evolution in photocatalysis. Then, we review the mesoporous composites of TiSiO_2 materials, which are ideal materials used in the photoreduction of air pollutants such as CO_2, NO and NO_2.
