2Carbonyl emissions from heavy-duty diesel vehicle exhaust in China and the contribution to ozone formation potential显示文摘Fifteen heavy-duty diesel vehicles were tested on chassis dynamometer by using typical heavy duty driving cycle and fuel economy cycle. The air from the exhaust was sampled by 2,4-dinitrophenyhydrazine cartridge and 23 carbonyl compounds were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography. The average emission factor of carbonyls was 97.2 mg/km, higher than that of light-duty diesel vehicles and gasoline-powered vehicles. Formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acetone and propionaldehyde were the species with the highest emission factors. Main influencing factors for carbonyl emissions were vehicle type, average speed and regulated emission standard, and the impact of vehicle loading was not evident in this study. National emission of carbonyls from diesel vehicles exhaust was calculated for China, 2011, based on both vehicle miles traveled and fuel consumption. Carbonyl emission of diesel vehicle was estimated to be 45.8 Gg, and was comparable to gasolinepowered vehicles(58.4 Gg). The emissions of formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and acetone were 12.6, 6.9, 3.8 Gg, respectively. 3Effect of arsenic trioxide on rat hepatocarcinoma and its renal cytotoxicity显示文摘AIM: To study the effect of arsenic trioxide (As2O3) on rat experimental hepatocarcinoma and its renal cytotoxicity.METHODS: The hepatocarcinoma model was established by diethaylnitrosamine perfusion in stomach of 120 Wistar rats, and the treatment began at the end of 20 weeks.Before the treatment, the rat models were randomly divided into 5 groups. In the treatment groups, three doses of As2O3 were injected into rat abdominal cavity, the total time of drug administration was 4 weeks. Cisplatin control or the blank group was injected into abdominal cavity with equal amount of cisplatin or saline at the same time,respectively. On the 7th, 14th and 28th day after the treatment, the hepatocarcinoma nodules were obtained and the morphologic changes of hepatocarcinoma cells were observed under light and electron microscopes;Immunohistochemistry (S-P methods) was employed to detect the expression of bcl-2, bax and PCNA in hepatocarcinoma tissues; flow cytometry (TUNEL assay)was used to detect the apoptosis of liver cancer cells and the change of cytokinetics. On the 28th day, the kidneys were obtained and their histologic changes were observed under light microscope, and immunohistochemistry (SP stain) was also employed to detect the expression of bcl-2and PCNA. Cisplatin and saline solution were used as the control.RESULTS: As2O3 could induce the apoptosis of rat liver cancer cells and exhibited typical morphologic changes.The incidence of apoptosis of hapatocarcinoma cells was elevated (P=0.001). The elevation was the most higher in the group of middle-dose of As2O3 (1 mg.kg-1), significantly higher than that of the other arsenic groups and the controls (P=0.001). Large dose of As2O3 (5 mg.kg-1) was able to arise the incidence of apoptosis, but also produced a large amount of necrosis and inflammatory reaction. Middle dose of As2O3 dramatically increased the cell number in G2/M phase (P=0.0001), and apoptosis happened apparently.The expression of bcl-2 and bax was related to the dose of As2O3. With the up-regulation of apoptotic incidence, the ratio of bcl-2/bak decreased. But the incidence of apoptosis was not the highest status and the ratio of bcl-2/bax was at the lowest when the highest-dose of As2O3 was used.There was significant difference among the PCNA indexes (PCNA L1) of the five groups. Of them, three arsenic groups all showed decrease of different degrees, and this downregulation was most obvious in group A. There was significant difference among the three groups (P=0.016).Under the light microscope, the rat kidney in the cisplatin group exhibited tubular epithelium swelling and degeneration, protein casts in collecting tubules; While all arsenic groups didn't show the significant changes (P=0.013).In the arsenic groups, the expression of bcl-2 in the renal tubular epithelium was increased (P=0.005), no obvious changes happened to PCNA L1. But in the group of cisplatin,the PCNA L1 increased significantly (P=0.001).CONCLUSION: AS2O3 can induce apoptosis of rat hepatocellular carcinoma cells. 4The temporal and spatial distribution of ancient rice in China and its implications显示文摘The relics of ancient rice have been regarded as the most important objective evidence of the origina- tion and spread of rice cultivation.Based on the records of 280 rice relics sites and the rice cropping regionalization as well as the distribution map of paddy soils,the current study compiled the temporal and spatial distribution map of ancient rice distribution in China.The map shows that the distribution of ancient rice is spatially extensive and meantime comparatively concentrated,temporarily covering a long and relatively continuous time-span.The rice relics in the Central China double and single rice cropping regions are among the earliest and the most abundant ones,possessing continuity in time sequence.Combined with the discovery of ancient rice and paddy filed relics,soil micromorphology, pollen combination and element geochemistry,it is suggested that Central China was the origin center of rice cultivation in China.Rice had been spread to the rest part of China in three major waves,also to the East Asian part like Korea and Japan.The temporal and spatial distribution of ancient rice reflects the past environmental change,which is also meaningful to the current rice regionalization and plan- ning as well as food security in China.GONG ZiTong CHEN HongZhao YUAN DaGang ZHAO YuGuo WU YunJin ZHANG GanLin 2007Chinese Science Bulletin2007,52,8:11
5Mechanisms of Cenozoic deformation in the Bohai Basin, Northeast China: Physical modelling and discussions显示文摘The Bohai Basin is a Cenozoic petroliferous extensional basin in China and has apparent geometrical and kinematic similarities with the other Meso-Cenozoic extensional basins located along the eastern margin of Eurasian Plate. However, the deformation mechanisms of the basin are still in dispute. Physcial modelling referring to the Huanghua Depression, located in the central part of the Bohai Basin was conducted employing four sets of planar sandbox experimental models with different extension directions. Only experimental results of the model with N-S extension show good structural similarity with the depression. The results also indicate that complex variations of fault strike in a rift basin are not necessarily the results of complex kinematic mechanisms or polyphase deformation. Based on comparison of experimental results with the actual structures and the good structural simi- larity between Huanghua Depression and the whole Bohai Basin, it is concluded that the Bohai Basin was formed by the N-S extension. The strike slip deformation along the NNE-trending border faults of the basin resulted from the N-S extension and played the role of lateral transformation for the N-S extension. In addition, according to the apparent geometrical and kinematic similarities among the Bohai Basin and other Meso-Cenozoic extensional basins located along the eastern margin of the Eurasian Plate, it is proposed that: (1) this “N-S extension” model provides a better kinematic inter- pretation for the formation of Bohai Basin and the other adjacent basins located along the eastern margin of the Eurasian Plate; and (2) the N-S extension was probably the effect of the “slab window” formed by the subduction of the nearly E-W trending oceanic ridge between the Kula and Pacific Plates. The “slab window” effect can also provide reasonable explanations for the phenomena that initial rifting ages of basins become progressively younger westwards along the eastern margin of the Eurasian Plate and that these basins changed gradually from rifting to thermal subduction.ZHOU Jianxun1 & ZHOU Jiansheng2 1. 6EFFECTS OF POLISHING PARAMETERS ON MATERIAL REMOVAL FOR CURVED OPTICAL GLASSES IN BONNET POLISHING显示文摘The paper firstly analyzes the influence factor on material removal rate of curved optical work-pieces in the bonnet polishing.Then the experiments are conducted to reveal the effects of several polishing parameters on the material removal rate when the spherical optical glasses are polished with different curvature radius,such as the decrement of the bonnet,the rotational speed of the bonnet and the curvature radius of the work-piece's surface using a bonnet trial-manufacturing machine developed by our assignment groups.In the end,the curvilinear relationships between these parameters and the material removal rate are acquired and the laws of the effects on material removal rate in bonnet polishing by several parameters are given.When the spherical-pieces are polished with smaller curvature radius,it is not proportional to either bonnet decrement or bonnet rotational speed as described by the Preston equation although the removal rate increases as the relative velocity or the applied pressure increases.Therefore,for the purpose of calculating more accurately the material removal of the spherical work-pieces,the Preston equation should be modified and studied further.SONG Jianfeng YAO Yingxue XIE Dagang GAO Bo YUAN Zhejun 2008Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2008,21,5:10
7MAPPING OF THE RICE (ORYZA SATIVA L.) THERMO-SENSITIVE GENIC MALE STERILE GENE TMS5 WITH EST AND SSR MARKERS显示文摘With the cDNA suppression subtraction hybridization method, a spikelet-specific cDNA library was constructed that expressed at meiosis stage in rice. A total of 121 cDNA fragments were selected from the library and used as EST (expressed se-quence tags) markers to detect the polymorphism between Annong N, a normal fertile Indica rice line and Annong S-1, its spontaneous mutant with thermo-sensitive genic male sterility, using the RFLP (restriction fragment length polymorphism) technique. HN57, one of the EST probes, could detect poly-morphism between them. The results of segregation analysis with the F2 population developed from An-nong S-1 and Annong N indicate that HN57 co-seg- regates with the thermo-sensitive genic male-sterility controlled by tms5, the recessive gene in Annong S-1. This marker is located on the 31.2-cM region of the chromosome 2 of RGP (rice genome research pro-gram) genetic map. To further determine the location of tms5, 80 SSR (simple sequence repeat) markers around this region were developed, and 12 of them were polymorphic. 8Effect of Preparation Methods on Mechanical Properties of PVA/HA Composite Hydrogel显示文摘Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/hydroxyapatite (HA) composite hydrogel specimens were prepared with 15% PVA and 1%,2%, 3%, 4% and 5% HA by repeated freezing-thawing. The tests of static and dynamic mechanical properties were carried out todiscuss the influence of different contents of HA and freezing-thawing cycles on the mechanical properties of PVA/HA compositehydrogel. The results of static mechanical tests showed that the PVA/HA composite hydrogel with 3% HA and ninefreezing-thawing cycles had excellent stress relaxation properties, higher relaxation ratio, lower stress equilibrium value andpresented better properties of creep and recovery. 12Ranking environmental projects model based on multicriteria decision-making and the weight sensitivity analysis显示文摘With the fast growth of Chinese economic,more and more capital will be invested in environmental projects.How to select the environmental investment projects (alternatives) for obtaining the best environmental quality and economic benefits is an important problem for the decision makers.The purpose of this paper is to develop a decision-making model to rank a finite number of alternatives with several and sometimes conflicting criteria.A model for ranking the projects of municipal sewage treatment plants is proposed by using exports' information and the data of the real projects.And,the ranking result is given based on the PROMETHEE method. Furthermore,by means of the concept of the weight stability intervals (WSI),the sensitivity of the ranking results to the size of criteria values and the change of weights value of criteria are discussed.The result shows that some criteria,such as'proportion of benefit to project cost',will influence the ranking result of alternatives very strong while others not.The influence are not only from the value of criterion but also from the changing the weight of criterion.So,some criteria such as'proportion of benefit to project cost'are key critera for ranking the projects. 13Tension leg platform project execution显示文摘The first floating platform concept design work for South China Sea is undergoing in DMAR's office now. This tension leg platform has potential to become the first advanced floating production platform project. Project execution is always a challenge for floating system. This paper focuses on the critical elements of project execution for tension leg platform,and studies potential implications to future oil and gas exploration in South China Sea. There are many factors affecting successful execution of floating system project,including technical issues, engineering management,interface management,etc. There are also failure examples of project execution in the industry. The author has participated 28 large detailed projects and has gained extensive experience on floating projects,with ample hands-on project experiences. 14Physical Layer Security in MIMO Wiretap Channels with Antenna Correlation显示文摘To investigate the impact of antenna correlation on secrecy performance in MIMO wiretap channels with Nakagami-m fading, the expressions of secrecy outage probability and positive secrecy probability were derived. Diversity order and array gain were also achieved for further insight. The study was based on the information theory that physical layer security can be guaranteed when the quality of the main channel is higher than that of the eavesdropper's channel. Monte Carlo simulations well validated the numerical results of analytic expressions. It was shown that antenna correlation is detrimental to secrecy performance when average SNR of the main channel is at medium and high level. 15Quality Control and Evaluation of the Observed Daily Data in the North American Soil Moisture Database显示文摘The North American Soil Moisture Database (NASMD) was initiated in 2011 to assemble and homogenize in situ soil moisture measurements from 32 observational networks in the United States and Canada encompassing more than 1800 stations. Although statistical quality control (QC) procedures have been applied in the NASMD, the soil moisture content tends to be systematically underestimated by in situ sensors in frozen soils, and using a single maximum threshold (i.e., 0.6 m3 m-3) may not be sufficient for robust QC because of the diverse soil textures in North America. In this study, based on the in situ soil porosity and North American Land Data Assimilation System phase 2 (NLDAS-2) Noah soil temperature, the simple automated QC method is revised to supplement the existing QC approach. This revised QC method is first validated based on the assessment at 78 of the Soil Climate Analysis Network (SCAN) stations where the manually checked data are available, and is then applied to all stations in the NASMD to produce a more strict quality-controlled dataset. The results show that the revised automated QC procedure can flag the spurious and erroneous soil moisture measurements for the SCAN stations, especially for those located in high altitudes and latitudes. Relative to station measurements in the original NASMD, the quality-controlled data show a slightly better agreement with the manually checked soil moisture content. It should be noted that this quality-controlled dataset may be over-flagged for some valid soil moisture measurements due to potential errors of the soil temperature and soil porosity data, and validation in this study is limited by the availability of benchmark soil moisture data. 16Molecular Cloning and Expression Analysis of a Hexokinase Gene,MdHXK1 in Apple显示文摘A hexokinase gene named MdHXK1(MDP0000309677) was cloned from ‘Gala' apple(Malus × domestica Borkh.). Sequence analysis showed that the MdHXK1 gene was 1 497 bp long and encoded 499 amino acids. The predicted molecular mass of this protein was 54.05 kD, and the pI was 5.76. A phylogenetic tree indicated apple MdHXK1 exhibited the highest sequence similarity to Pyrus bretschneideri PbHXK1. Analysis of the functional domain showed that the MdHXK1 protein included two conserved kinase domains. The prediction of subcellular localization suggested that the MdHXK1 protein was mainly localized in the cytoplasm. There was an indication that MdHXK1 existed as one copy in the apple genome by Southern blotting. Silico analysis suggested that the promoter sequence contained several typical cis-acting elements, including defense, sugar signaling and phytohormone responsive elements. Quantitative real-time PCR analysis demonstrated that the MdHXK1 gene was mainly expressed in stem and flower tissues. During the development of apple fruits, the expression of the MdHXK1 gene initially increased and then decreased. The changes on Glc phosphorylation relative activity and glucose concentration showed the same trend. In addition, the expression of this gene was induced by salt stress, low temperature, and abscisic acid(ABA). Finally, we obtained and purified the fused MdHXK1 protein by recombinant prokaryotic expression. Studies have demonstrated that MdHXK1 may participate in sugar metabolism in apple fruits. Enzyme encoded by MdHXK1 is a key factor in the mediation of sugar accumulation. Recently,researchers on hexokinase at home and abroad mainly focused on model plants, such as Arabidopsis, tobacco and rice, but orchard fruit like apple were underresearched. 17Suppression of Vortex-Induced Vibration by Fairings on Marine Risers显示文摘Vortex-induced vibration is quite common during the operation of offshore risers or umbilical cables,commonly leading to serious damage to risers and reduced service life.Vortex-induced vibration of the offshore risers could be effectively suppressed by fairing devices.In this paper,a newly developed vortex-induced vibration fairing and large eddy simulation model of the FLUENT software were used for numerical analysis,experimental research and stimulating vortex-induced vibration at 0.1–2 ms^-1.The data of the numerical model with fairing was compared and analyzed to study the vortex shedding frequency at different Reynolds numbers and changes in drag and lift coefficients.The displacement state of 12 in risers with and without fairing was experimentally tested using a five degree-of-freedom balance.The vortex-induced vibration effect of the fairing was tested at different velocities.The result shows the drag reduction effect of the fairing is more obvious when the flow velocity is 0.4–1.2 ms^-1 and the maximum drag reduction reaches 55.6%when the flow velocity is 0.6 ms^-1.Additionally,the drag reduction effect was obvious when the flow velocity was greater than 1.3 ms^-1 and less than 0.3.The result indicates that the developed 12 in fairing,with good potential in engineering applications,has good vortex-induced vibration-suppression effects.KANG Yongtian XIAO Wensheng WANG Quanbin ZHANG Dagang ZHAO Jun 2020Journal of Ocean University of China2020,19,2:4
18Deepwater oil and gas field development in South China Sea显示文摘This paper focuses on potential development models of future oil and gas exploration in South China Sea. A detailed study of current development models worldwide is performed through some examples of industry installed/ongoing projects and major technical issues encountered during these practice. Key technologies are discussed for the success of field development. Some of the technologies and field development experience can be used for South China Sea project. Several models are studied in field development for different scenarios,including marginal field,large oil field and gas field. 20Preparation,Characterization and Hot Storage Stability of Asphalt Modified by Waste Polyethylene Packaging显示文摘Waste polyethylene packaging(WPE) was used to modify asphalt,and hot storage stability of the modified asphalt was studied in this paper.The morphological change and component loss of WPE modified asphalt were characterized by fluorescence microscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),thermogravimetry(TG) and isolation testing.In addition,the mechanism of the hot storage stability of WPE modified asphalt was discussed.The results showed that the modification of asphalt with WPE was a physical process.It was found that the filament or partly network-like structure formed in the modified asphalt system was beneficial to improving the hot storage stability.Moreover,the addition of WPE resulted in a decrease in both the light components volatilization and the macromolecules decomposition of asphalt.It was demonstrated that when the content of WPE in matrix asphalt was less than 10 wt%,the service performances of modified asphalt could be better.Changqing Fang Ying Zhang Qian Yu Xing Zhou Dagang Guo Ruien Yu Min Zhang 2013Journal of Materials Science & Technology2013,29,5:3
