| 1 | Tumor-homing peptide-based NIR-II probes for targeted spontaneous breast tumor imaging显示文摘Fluorescence imaging in the second near-infrared window(NIR-Ⅱ,1000-1700 nm)is a promising modality for real-time imaging of cancer and image-guided surgery with superior in vivo optical properties.So far,very few NIR-Ⅱfluorophores have been reported for in vivo biomedical imaging of chemically-induced spontaneous breast carcinoma.Herein,a NIR-Ⅱfluorescent probe CH1055-F3 with the nucleolin-targeted tumor-homing peptide F3 was demonstrated to prefe rentially accumulate in 4 T1 tumors.More importantly,CH1055-F3 exhibited specific NIR-Ⅱsignals with high spatial and temporal resolution,strong tumor uptake,and remarkable NIR-Ⅱimage-guided surgery in dimethylbenzanthracene(DMBA)-induced spontaneous breast tumor rats.This report presents the first tumor-homing peptide-based NIR-Ⅱprobe to diagnose transplantable and spontaneous breast tumors by the active targeting. | Hui Zhou Shanshan Li Xiaodong Zeng Mengxian Zhang Lin Tang Qianqian Li Deliang Chen Xianli Meng Xuechuan Hong | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,6: | 6 |

| 15 | Worldwide impacts of atmospheric vapor pressure deficit on the interannual variability of terrestrial carbon sinks显示文摘Interannual variability of the terrestrial ecosystem carbon sink is substantially regulated by various environmental variables and highly dominates the interannual variation of atmospheric carbon dioxide(CO_(2))concentrations.Thus,it is necessary to determine dominating factors affecting the interannual variability of the carbon sink to improve our capability of predicting future terrestrial carbon sinks.Using global datasets derived from machine-learning methods and process-based ecosystem models,this study reveals that the inter annual variability of the atmospheric vapor pressure deficit(VPD)was significantly negatively correlated with net ecosystem production(NEP)and substantially impacted the inter annual variability of the atmospheric CO_(2)growth rate(CGR).Further analyses found widespread constraints of VPD interannual variability on terrestrial gross primary production(GPP),causing VPD to impact NEP and CGR.Partial correlation analysis confirms the persistent and widespread impacts of VPD on terrestrial carbon sinks compared to other environmental variables.Current Earth system models underestimate the interannual variability in VPD and its impacts on GPP and NEP.Our results highlight the importance of VPD for terrestrial carbon sinks in assessing ecosystems'responses to future climate conditions. | Bin He Chen Chen Shangrong Lin Wenping Yuan Hans WChen Deliang Chen Yafeng Zhang Lanlan Guo Xiang Zhao Xuebang Liu Shilong Piao Ziqian Zhong Rui Wang Rui Tang | 2022 | National Science Review2022,9,4: | 1 |

| 17 | Chlorophyll-a concentrations in 82 large alpine lakes on the Tibetan Plateau during 2003–2017: temporal–spatial variations and influencing factors显示文摘As essential parts of the unique ecosystem of Tibetan Plateau(TP),the sizes and associated physical properties of alpine lakes have long been investigated.However,little is known about one of the most critical biogeochemical properties,i.e.the Chlorophyll-a(Chl-a)concentrations.Here,for the first time,we presented a comprehensive investigation of the temporal–spatial variations in Chl-a in 82 lakes(>50 km^(2))across the entire TP region,based on MODIS observations in the period of 2003–2017.The results showed that the 82 lakes exhibited an average longterm mean Chl-a of 3.3±4.3 mg m^(−3),with high Chl-a lakes concentrated in the eastern and southern inner TP basin and northeastern parts of the TP.An interannual trend analysis revealed that lakes exhibiting(significantly)decreasing Chl-a trends and(significantly)increasing Chl-a trends were comparable in numbers but differed in distribution patterns.A correlation analysis indicated that at least 70%of the interannual variability in Chl-a values of lakes was significantly correlated with one of the four environmental factors(wind speed,ice cover duration,lake water surface temperature and surface runoff)and lake size.In addition,glacier meltwater tended to reduce lake Chl-a while salinity levels showed minor influences. | Xuehui Pi Lian Feng Weifeng Li Junguo Liu Xingxing Kuang Kun Shi Wei Qi Deliang Chen Jing Tang | 2021 | International Journal of Digital Earth2021,14,6: | 0 |
| 18 | Saltwater intrusion into groundwater systems in the Mekong Delta and links to global change显示文摘In recent decades,changes in temperature,wind,and rainfall patterns of Southeast Asia induced by climate warming in the Tibetan Plateau result in many environmental changes that have serious impacts on the lower reach of the Mekong River basin,a region already battling severe water-related environmental problems such as pollution,saltwater intrusion,and intensified flooding.In the densely populated Mekong Delta located at the mouth of the Mekong River basin in southern Vietnam,the hydrogeological systems have been transformed from an almost undisturbed to a human-impacted state and saltwater intrusion into surface water and groundwater systems has grown to be a detrimental issue recently,seriously threatening freshwater supply and degrading the eco-environment.In this article,the impacts of human activities and climate change(e.g.,groundwater over-exploitation,relative sea-level rise,storm surge,changing precipitation and temperature regimes,uncontrolled drainage canals,operation of hydropower dams,and rapid development of aquaculture)on saltwater intrusion into groundwater systems in the Mekong Delta are briefly reviewed.Based on current status of research findings regarding saltwater intrusion and the subsequent groundwater quality degradation under the impacts of human activities and climate change,major knowledge gaps and challenges are identified and discussed,including thickness and permeability of the silt and clay aquitard,present-day highly heterogeneous 3D distribution of saline groundwater zones,dynamic variation of saltwater/freshwater transition zone,and the most effective and economical control measure.To bridge these gaps,future work should:1)apply environmental isotope techniques in combination with borehole tests to gain detailed hydrogeological information regarding spatial variation of permeability and thickness of the silt and clay aquitard;2)intensify regular groundwater monitoring and collect as much groundwater samples from multiple hydro-stratigraphic units at different depths as possible to visualize the present-day highly heterogeneous 3D distribution of saline groundwater;3)develop a series of variable-density coupled groundwater flow and salt transport models representing various scenarios of human activities and climate change for predicting future extent of saltwater intrusion;and 4)identify the dominant factor causing saltwater intrusion and determine the most effective and economical engineering technique to address saltwater intrusion problems in the Mekong Delta. | XIAO Han TANG Yin LI Haiming ZHANG Lu NGO-DUC Thanh Deliang CHEN TANG Qiuhong | 2021 | Advances in Climate Change Research2021,12,3: | 0 |
