| 1 | 对比增强超声显示的颈动脉斑块新生血管与临床症状的相关性显示文摘目的采用微气泡对比剂.评价颈动脉粥样硬化病人斑块的强化程度与临床症状的相关性。方法本研究得到医院伦理委员会批准,所有病人均签署知情同意书。104例颈动脉粥样斑块的病人[男性83例,平均年龄(64±9)岁;女件21例,平均年龄(61-10)岁]行普通超声和对比增强超声检查。采用视觉和定量分析评价斑块的强化程度。结果在104例病人中,35例(34%)有一过性缺血发作和(或)脑血管缺血性卒中。35例有症状和69例无症状的病人中,分别有28例(80%)和21例(30%)病人可见斑块强化(P〈0.001)。 | L. | 2 | What is going on in magnesium alloys?显示文摘China has been developed into one of the most active regions in terms of both fundamental and applied research on magnesium(Mg) and its alloys in the world from a solid base laid by its prominent metallurgist and materials scientists over the past decades. Nowadays, a large number of young-generation researchers have been inspired by their predecessors and become the key participants in the fields of Mg alloys, which consequently led to the establishment of China Youth Scholar Society for Magnesium Alloys Research in 2015. Since then, the first two China Youth Scholars Symposiums on Mg Alloys Research had been held at Harbin(2015) and Chongqing(2016) China, respectively. A number of crucial research interests related to fundamental and applied Mg research were discussed at the conferences and summarized in this short perspective, aiming to boost far-reaching initiatives for development of new Mg-based materials to satisfy the requirements for a broad range of industrial employments. Herein, four main aspects are included as follows: i) Plastic deformation mechanism and strengthening strategy, ii) Design and development of new Mg-based materials, iii) Key service properties, and iv) New processing technologies. | X.J. | 6 | LAMOST Experiment for Galactic Understanding and Exploration (LEGUE)——The survey's science plan显示文摘We describe the current plans for a spectroscopic survey of millions of stars in the Milky Way galaxy using the Guo Shou Jing Telescope (GSJT, formerly called the Large sky Area Multi-Object fiber Spectroscopic Telescope - LAMOST). The survey will obtain spectra for 2.5 million stars brighter than r < 19 during dark/grey time, and 5 million stars brighter than r < 17 or J < 16 on nights that are moonlit or have low transparency. The survey will begin in the fall of 2012, and will run for at least four years. The telescope's design constrains the optimal declination range for observations to 10 < δ < 50 , and site conditions lead to an emphasis on stars in the direction of the Galactic anticenter. The survey is divided into three parts with different target selection strategies: disk, anticenter, and spheroid. The resulting dataset will be used to study the merger history of the Milky Way, the substructure and evolution of the disks, the nature of the first generation of stars through identification of the lowest metallicity stars, and star formation through study of open clusters and OB associations. | 7 | Impacts of El Nino-Southern Oscillation events on China's rice production显示文摘This paper aims to demonstrate the relationships between ENSO and rice production of Jiangxi province in order to identify the reason that ENSO might have little effect on Chinese rice production. Using a data set with measures of Jiangxi's climate and rice production,we find the reason that during 1985 and 2004 ENSO's well correlated with rainfall did not promote Chinese rice production. First,the largest effects of ENSO mostly occur in the months when there is no rice in the field. Second,there is almost no temperature effect. Finally,the monthly distribution of rainfall is almost the same in ENSO and neutral years because the largest effects are during months when there is the least rain. | 11 | Proteomic Study Identifies Proteins Involved in Brassinosteroid Regulation of Rice Growth显示文摘Brassinosteroids (BRs) are essential hormones for growth and development of plant. In rice, BRs regulate multiple developmental processes and affect many important traits such as height, leaf angle, fertility and seed filling. We identified brassinosteroid-regulated proteins in rice using proteomic approaches and performed functional analysis of some BR-regulated proteins by overexpression experiments. Using two-dimensional difference gel electrophoresis (2-D DIGE) followed by protein identification by mass spectrometry, we compared proteomic differences in the shoots and roots of the BR-insensitive mutant d61-4 and BR-deficient mutant brd1-3. We identified a large number of proteins differentially expressed in the mutants compared with wild type control. These include a glycine-rich RNA-binding protein (OsGRP1) and a DREPP2 protein, which showed reduced levels in the BR mutants. Overexpression of these two proteins partially suppressed the dwarf phenotype of the Arabidopsis BR-insensitive mutant bri1-5. In contrast to the reduced protein level, the RNA level of OsGRP1 was not significantly affected in the BR mutants or by BR treatment, suggesting BR regulation of OsGRP1 at the posttranslational level. | 14 | The level of oncogene H-Ras correlates with tumorigenicity and malignancy显示文摘Normal bovine adrenocortical cells and some human fibroblasts can be transformed by SV40T and H-Ras in a Ras-dependent manner. We recently reported that high levels of Ras derived from 5' LTR of retrovirrus can induce highly malignant and fast growing tumors, while lower levels of Ras derived from internal ribosome entry site(IRES) promotes slower tumor growth and loss of malignancy. Ras derived from CMV promoters resulted in much lower Ras levels and loss of tumor malignancy and growth. Further studies showed that the tumors formed in the presence of lower levels of Ras and dominant negative P53(P53DD) had fewer apoptotic cells and grew faster than the tumors formed from cells with same level Ras and SV40T. Our studies suggest that low levels of Ras are insufficient to inhibit apoptosis induced by pRb inactivation.
