1Traditional Chinese Medicine in the prevention and treatment of stable angina pectoris in patients with coronary heart disease based on the theory of 'phlegm and blood stasis' under guidance of evidence-based medicine:a prospective cohort study显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To ascertain whether continuous treatment with Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) combined with standardized drug therapy from Western Medicine can further reduce the incidence of cardiovascular events in patients with coronary heart disease and angina and reduce the incidence of angina pectoris in patients with coronary heart disease.METHODS: A multicenter, prospective cohort study of 1042 patients in 22 hospitals was conducted. A total of 423 patients with angina pectoris were treated with standardized Western Medicine alone(control group) and 619 with a combination of Chinese and Western Medicine(exposure group). The two groups underwent follow-up for 1 year to establish whether there was any improvement in the incidence of cardiovascular events or change in the curative effect.RESULTS: The incidence of primary endpoint events in the combined-exposure group decreased by 0.45%(P > 0.05) and the incidence of secondary terminal events decreased by 5.25% in comparison with the control group(P < 0.05). The total angina pectoris score clearly decreased in the Western Medicine group over the first 6 months, but the decline was more apparent in the combined-exposure group.CONCLUSION: Compared with treatment using standardized Western Medicine alone, providing TCM combined with Western medical treatment reduced the incidence of cardiovascular events in patients with stable angina pectoris(grade Ⅱ endpoint) and effectively improved the curative effect.CHEN Ying XIAO Xue XU Xiaolin DENG Yue ZHANG Zepeng 2021Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,1:19
2Identification of mecciRNAs and their roles in the mitochondrial entry of proteins显示文摘Mammalian mitochondria have small genomes encoding very limited numbers of proteins.Over one thousand proteins and noncoding RNAs encoded by the nuclear genome must be imported from the cytosol into the mitochondria.Here,we report the identification of hundreds of circular RNAs(mecciRNAs)encoded by the mitochondrial genome.We provide both in vitro and in vivo evidence to show that mecciRNAs facilitate the mitochondrial entry of nuclear-encoded proteins by serving as molecular chaperones in the folding of imported proteins.Known components involved in mitochondrial protein and RNA importation,such as TOM40 and PNPASE,interact with mecciRNAs and regulate protein entry.The expression of mecciRNAs is regulated,and these transcripts are critical for the adaption of mitochondria to physiological conditions and diseases such as stresses and cancers by modulating mitochondrial protein importation.mecciRNAs and their associated physiological roles add categories and functions to the known eukaryotic circular RNAs and shed novel light on the communication between mitochondria and the nucleus.Xu Liu Xiaolin Wang Jingxin Li Shanshan Hu Yuqi Deng Hao Yin Xichen Bao Qiangfeng Cliff Zhang Geng Wang Baolong Wang Qinghua Shi Ge Shan 2020Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,10:15

5Stratigraphy of the Triassic-Jurassic Boundary Successions of the Southern Margin of the Junggar Basin,Northwestern China显示文摘The Triassic-Jurassic(Tr-J) boundary marks a major extinction event,which(~200 Ma) resulted in global extinctions of fauna and flora both in the marine and terrestrial realms.There prevail great challenges in determining the exact location of the terrestrial Tr-J boundary,because of endemism of taxa and the scarcity of fossils in terrestrial settings leading to difficulties in linking marine and terrestrial sedimentary successions.Investigation based on palynology and bivalves has been carried out over a 1113 m thick section,which is subdivided into 132 beds,along the Haojiagou valley on the southern margin of the Junggar Basin of the northern Xinjiang,northwestern China.The terrestrial Lower Jurassic is conformably resting on the Upper Triassic strata.The Upper Triassic covers the Huangshanjie Formation overlaid by the Haojiagou Formation,while the Lower Jurassic comprises the Badaowan Formation followed by the Sangonghe Formation.Fifty six pollen and spore taxa and one algal taxon were identified from the sediments.Based on the key-species and abundance of spores and pollen,three zones were erected:the Late Triassic(Rhaetian) Aratrisporites-Alisporites Assemblage,the Early Jurassic(Hettangian) Perinopollenites-Pinuspollenites Assemblage,and the Sinemurian Perinopollenites-Cycadopites Assemblage.The Tr-J boundary is placed between bed 44 and 45 coincident with the boundary between the Haojiagou and Badaowan formations.Beds with Ferganoconcha(?),Unio-Ferganoconcha and Waagenoperna-Yananoconcha bivalve assemblages are recognized.The Ferganoconcha(?) bed is limited to the upper Haojiagou Formation, Unio-Ferganoconcha and Waagenoperna-Yananoconcha assemblages are present in the middle and upper members of the Badaowan Formation.The sedimentary succession is interpreted as terrestrial with two mainly lake deposit intervals within Haojiagou and Badaowan formations,yielding fresh water algae and bivalves.However,the presence of brackish water algae Tasmanites and the marine-littoral facies bivalve Waagenoperna from the Badaowan Formation indicate that the Junggar Basin was influenced by sea water caused by transgressions from the northern Tethys,during the Sinemurian.SHA Jingeng Vivi VAJDA PAN Yanhong Linda LARSSON YAO Xiaogang ZHANG Xiaolin WANG Yaqiong CHENG Xiansheng JIANG Baoyu DENG Shenghui CHEN Siwei PENG Bo 2011Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2011,85,2:7

7Genome of a citrus rootstock and global DNA demethylation caused by heterografting显示文摘Grafting is an ancient technique used for plant propagation and improvement in horticultural crops for at least 1,500 years.Citrus plants,with a seed-to-seed cycle of 5–15 years,are among the fruit crops that were probably domesticated by grafting.Poncirus trifoliata,a widely used citrus rootstock,can promote early flowering,strengthen stress tolerance,and improve fruit quality via scion–rootstock interactions.Here,we report its genome assembly using PacBio sequencing.We obtained a final genome of 303 Mb with a contig N50 size of 1.17Mb and annotated 25,680 protein-coding genes.DNA methylome and transcriptome analyses indicated that the strong adaptability of P.trifoliata is likely attributable to its special epigenetic modification and expression pattern of resistance-related genes.Heterografting by using sweet orange as scion and P.trifoliata as rootstock and autografting using sweet orange as both scion and rootstock were performed to investigate the genetic effects of the rootstock.Single-base methylome analysis indicated that P.trifoliata as a rootstock caused DNA demethylation and a reduction in 24-nt small RNAs(sRNAs)in scions compared to the level observed with autografting,implying the involvement of sRNA-mediated graft-transmissible epigenetic modifications in citrus grafting.Taken together,the assembled genome for the citrus rootstock and the analysis of graft-induced epigenetic modifications provide global insights into the genetic effects of rootstock–scion interactions and grafting biology.Yue Huang Yuantao Xu Xiaolin Jiang Huiwen Yu Huihui Jia Chunming Tan Gang Hu Yibo Hu Muhammad Junaid Rao Xiuxin Deng Qiang Xu 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:4

9Lifetime and Aging Degradation Prognostics for Lithium-ion Battery Packs Based on a Cell to Pack Method显示文摘Aging diagnosis of batteries is essential to ensure that the energy storage systems operate within a safe region.This paper proposes a novel cell to pack health and lifetime prognostics method based on the combination of transferred deep learning and Gaussian process regression.General health indicators are extracted from the partial discharge process.The sequential degradation model of the health indicator is developed based on a deep learning framework and is migrated for the battery pack degradation prediction.The future degraded capacities of both battery pack and each battery cell are probabilistically predicted to provide a comprehensive lifetime prognostic.Besides,only a few separate battery cells in the source domain and early data of battery packs in the target domain are needed for model construction.Experimental results show that the lifetime prediction errors are less than 25 cycles for the battery pack,even with only 50 cycles for model fine-tuning,which can save about 90%time for the aging experiment.Thus,it largely reduces the time and labor for battery pack investigation.The predicted capacity trends of the battery cells connected in the battery pack accurately reflect the actual degradation of each battery cell,which can reveal the weakest cell for maintenance in advance.Yunhong Che Zhongwei Deng Xiaolin Tang Xianke Lin Xianghong Nie Xiaosong Hu 2022Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2022,35,1:3

20传统止血和凝血试验与肝硬化急性上消化道出血的关系:一项回顾性研究显示文摘目的:回顾性比较伴与不伴急性上消化道出血(AUGIB)或急性食管静脉曲张出血(AEVB)的肝硬化患者止血/凝血指标的差异,包括血小板计数(PLT)、凝血酶原时间(PT)、国际标准化比率(INR)和活化部分凝血活酶时间(APTT)。方法:2012年1月至2014年6月间,共计1734例肝硬化患者纳入研究。根据其病史分为AUGIB组(497例)和无AUGIB组(1237例);同时根据内镜检查结果分为AEVB组(297例)和无AEVB组(1259例),另178例AUGIB患者由于缺乏内镜资料,既未入AEVB组,也未归入无AEVB组。结果:AUGIB组与无AUGIB组患者相比,PLT(99.99±89.90 vs 101.47±83.03,P=0.734)和APTT(42.96±15.20 vs 43.77±11.01,P=0.219)的差异无统计学意义,但PT显著延长(17.30±5.62 vs 16.03±4.68,P<0.001),INR显著增高(1.45±0.69 vs 1.31±0.59,P<0.001)。PT可以独立预测AUGIB的发生,PT越低,AUGIB出现的可能性越小(OR=0.968,95%CI:0.942-0.994)。AEVB组与无AEVB组患者相比,PLT显著减少(86.87±62.14 vs 101.74±83.62,P=0.004),APTT显著缩短(40.98±7.98 vs 43.72±10.97,P<0.001),但PT(16.53±3.71 vs 16.0464.68,P=0.088)和INR(1.35±0.41 vs 1.3160.59,P=0.225)的差异则无统计学意义。PLT可独立预测AEVB的发生,PLT越高,AEVB出现的可能性越大(OR=1.004,95%CI:1.002-1.006)。结论:PLT与肝硬化患者门脉高压出血密切相关。Jing Li Xingshun Qi Han Deng Ying Peng Lichun Shao Jiaxin Ma Xiaolin Sun Hongyu Li Xiaozhong Guo 2016Gastroenterology Report2016,4,4:1
