1Mitochondrial localization of ORF346 causes pollen abortion in alloplasmic male sterility显示文摘The Nsa cytoplasmic male sterility(CMS) system confers stable male sterility and offers great potential for production of hybrid seeds in oilseed rape. However, genes responsible for male sterility in Nsa CMS have not been identified. By mitochondrial genome sequencing of Nsa CMS and its maintainer line,we identified in an Nsa CMS line several chimeric genes encoding hypothetical proteins harboring transmembrane domains. One novel chimeric gene orf346 showed high identity with cox1 at the 50 terminal region and was co-transcribed with nad3 and rps12 genes. Transgenic plants of orf346 fused with or without mitochondrial targeting peptide conferred complete male sterility in Arabidopsis. ORF346 was mitochondrion-localized. Expression of orf346 in Escherichia coli inhibited bacterial growth, with excessive accumulation of reactive oxygen species and decreased ATP content. These results reveal a link between the newly identified mitochondrial gene orf346 and the abortion of Nsa CMS. 2Single-cell RNA sequencing of meiocytes and microspores reveals the involvement of the Rf4 gene in redox homeostasis of CMS-C maize显示文摘Normal microsporogenesis is determined by both nuclear and mitochondrial genes. In maize C-type cytoplasmic male sterility, it is unclear how the development of meiocytes and microspores is affected by the mitochondrial sterility gene and the nuclear restorer gene. In this study, we sequenced the transcriptomes of single meiocytes(tetrad stage) and early mononucleate microspores from sterile and restorer lines. The numbers of expressed genes varied in individual cells and fewer than half of the expressed genes were common to the same cell types. Four comparisons revealed 3379 differentially expressed genes(DEGs), with 277 putatively associated with mitochondria, 226 encoding transcription factors,and 467 possibly targeted by RF4. KEGG analysis indicated that the DEGs in the two lines at the tetrad stage were involved predominantly in carbon metabolism and in amino acid biosynthesis and metabolism, whereas the DEGs during the transition from the tetrad stage to the early mononucleate stage were associated mostly with regulation of protein metabolism, fatty acid metabolism, and anatomical structure morphogenesis. 8A simplified method to calculate the field distribution of pistonlike source显示文摘In this paper, it was presented that a simple method for calculating the distribution of the pistonlike sound fields, which extends the approach proposed by Wen and Breazeale. The distribution function on the source is expressed as the product of one function and a Gaussian sum of the step function, and the calculation of the sound fields reduces the estimation of sums of some relatively simple functions such as the M-shape and Gaussian ones. 9Improved Model of Radial Vibration in Switched Reluctance Motor Including Magnetic Saturation显示文摘This paper proposes an improved method for the prediction of radial vibration in switched reluctance motor(SRM)considering magnetic saturation.In this paper,the basic modeling principle is briefly introduced,it is based on the derivation that the peak acceleration is dependent on the product of phase current and current gradient idi/dt.However,the derivation may cause errors due to saturation effect.Thus in this paper,the discrete sample data are firstly acquired based on DC pulse measurement method,by which electromagnetic,torque and peak acceleration characteristics can all be acquired.Then the entire peak acceleration characteristics are obtained by improved Least Square Support Vector Machine(LSSVM).Based on the obtained static peak acceleration characteristics,the time-varied radial vibration model is established based on superposition of natural oscillations of dominant vibration modes.Finally,a simulation model is built up using MATLAB/Simulink.The good agreement between simulation and experiment shows that the proposed method for modeling is feasible and accurate,even under saturation.In addition,since LSSVM does not need any prior knowledge,it is much easier for modeling compared with other existing literatures.Xiaoqiang Guo Rui Zhong Mingshu Zhang Desheng Ding Weifeng Sun 2018CES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems2018,2,4:0
10Epidemiological and clinical features,treatment status,and economic burden of traumatic spinal cord injury in China:a hospital-based retrospective study显示文摘Traumatic spinal cord injury is potentially catastrophic and can lead to permanent disability or even death.China has the largest population of patients with traumatic spinal cord injury.Previous studies of traumatic spinal cord injury in China have mostly been regional in scope;national-level studies have been rare.To the best of our knowledge,no national-level study of treatment status and economic burden has been performed.This retrospective study aimed to examine the epidemiological and clinical features,treatment status,and economic burden of traumatic spinal cord injury in China at the national level.We included 13,465 traumatic spinal cord injury patients who were injured between January 2013 and December 2018 and treated in 30 hospitals in 11 provinces/municipalities representing all geographical divisions of China.Patient epidemiological and clinical features,treatment status,and total and daily costs were recorded.Trends in the percentage of traumatic spinal cord injuries among all hospitalized patients and among patients hospitalized in the orthopedic department and cost of care were assessed by annual percentage change using the Joinpoint Regression Program.The percentage of traumatic spinal cord injuries among all hospitalized patients and among patients hospitalized in the orthopedic department did not significantly change overall(annual percentage change,-0.5%and 2.1%,respectively).A total of 10,053(74.7%)patients underwent surgery.Only 2.8%of patients who underwent surgery did so within 24 hours of injury.A total of 2005(14.9%)patients were treated with high-dose(≥500 mg)methylprednisolone sodium succinate/methylprednisolone(MPSS/MP);615(4.6%)received it within 8 hours.The total cost for acute traumatic spinal cord injury decreased over the study period(-4.7%),while daily cost did not significantly change(1.0%increase).Our findings indicate that public health initiatives should aim at improving hospitals’ability to complete early surgery within 24 hours,which is associated with improved sensorimotor recovery,increasing the awareness rate of clinical guidelines related to high-dose MPSS/MP to reduce the use of the treatment with insufficient evidence.Hengxing Zhou Yongfu Lou Lingxiao Chen Yi Kang Lu Liu Zhiwei Cai David BAnderson Wei Wang Chi Zhang Jinghua Wang Guangzhi Ning Yanzheng Gao Baorong He Wenyuan Ding Yisheng Wang Wei Mei Yueming Song Yue Zhou Maosheng Xia Huan Wang Jie Zhao Guoyong Yin Tao Zhang Feng Jing Rusen Zhu Bin Meng Li Duan Zhongmin Zhang Desheng Wu Zhengdong Cai Lin Huang Zhanhai Yin Kainan Li Shibao Lu Shiqing Feng 2024Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,5:0
11Investigation on Thermal Insulation and Mechanical Strength of Lightweight Aggregate Concrete and Porous Mortar in Cold Regions显示文摘Thermal insulation is an important indicator to evaluate the construction material in cold region engineering.As we know,adding the industrial waste as lightweight aggregate or creating the pore inside the cement-based composite could make the texture loose,and the thermal insulating capacity of the material would be improved with this texture.Using these methods,the industrial by-product and engineering waste could be cycled in an efficient way.Moreover,after service the fragmented cement composites paste could be used as aggregate in the thermal insulating concrete again.While the porous texture is not favorable for the mechanical strength and long-term durability in a cold environment.To balance the above three requirements from two opposite directions,different processing methods were applied to create the thermal insulation concrete/mortar.Firstly,the organic/inorganic lightweight aggregate,including the Expanded Polystyrene(EPS),Expanded Perlite(EP),and Ceramsite(CRMST)particles,were applied to create the Lightweight Aggregate Concrete(LWAC).As the comparative tests,the expanded Superabsorbent Polymer(SAP)hydrogel and Air-Entraining Agent(AEA)were also introduced to create the porous mortar.The above concrete/mortar was tested in the normal state and under the Freeze-Thaw cycle to explore the engineering performance in cold regions.During the experimenting process,the thermal insulation,mechanical strength,and frost resistance of these cement-based composites were investigated,and an optimal thermal insulation concrete/mortar was determined.Jianan Wu Ke Xue Zhaowei Ding Lei Lang Kang Gu Xiaolin Li Mingli Zhang Desheng Li 2022Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,12:0
12Research on Surface Roughness of Supersonic Vibration Auxiliary Side Milling for Titanium Alloy显示文摘The processed surface contour shape is extracted with the finite element simulation software.The difference value of contour shape change is used as the parameters of balancing surface roughness to construct finite element model of supersonic vibration milling in cutting stability domain.The surface roughness trial scheme is designed in the orthogonal test design method to analyze the surface roughness test result in the response surface methodology.The surface roughness prediction model is established and optimized.Finally,the surface roughness finite element simulation prediction model is verified by experiments.The research results show that,compared with the experiment results,the error range of the finite element simulation model is 27.5%–30.9%,and the error range of the empirical model obtained by the response surface method is between 4.4%and 12.3%.So,the model in this paper is accurate and will provide the theoretical basis for the optimization study of the auxiliary milling process of supersonic vibration.Xuetao Wei Caixu Yue Desheng Hu Xianli Liu Yunpeng Ding Steven Y.Liang 2022Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2022,35,5:0
