| 1 | The ignored emission of volatile organic compounds from iron ore sinter process显示文摘Iron ore sintering is a major source of gaseous and particulate pollutants emission in iron smelt plant. The aim of present study is to characterize the volatile organic compounds(VOCs) emission profiles from iron ore sintering process. Both sinter pot test and sinter simulation experiment were conducted and compared. Out results showed that sinter process produced large quantity of VOCs together with NOxand SO_2. VOCs and NO were produced simultaneously in sinter pot test from 3 to 24 min after ignition, flowed by SO_2 production from 15 min to the end of sintering. Total VOCs(TVOC) concentration in sinter flue gas was affected by the coal and coke ratio in sinter raw material. The maximum TVOC concentration was 34.5 ppm when using 100% coal as fuel. Sinter simulation experiments found that the number of VOCs species and their concentrations were found by sinter temperature. The largest VOCs species varieties were obtained at 500 °C. Benzene, toluene,xylene and ethylbenzene were major VOCs in sinter flue gas based on the results from both simulation test and sinter pot. It thus demonstrated that in addition to NO_x, SO_2 and metal oxide particles, sinter flue gas also contained significant amount of VOCs whose environmental impact cannot be ignored. | 9 | Effect of denitrifying bacteria on the electrochemical reaction of activated carbon fiber in electrochemical biofilm system显示文摘An electrochemical-activated denitrifying bio-film system consisting of activated carbon fiber electrodes immobilized with denitrifying bacteria film as cathode was studied.A revised model for an electrochemical-activated denitrifying biofilm was developed and validated by electro-chemical analysis of cathodal polarization curves and nitrate consumption rate.The cathodal polarization curve and nitrate consumption rate were introduced to verify the rate of electrochemical reaction and the activity of denitrifying bacteria,respectively.It was shown that the denitrification process effectively strengthened the electrochemical reaction while the electron also intensified denitrification activity.Electron was transferred between electrochemical process and biological process not only by hydrogen molecule but also by new produced active hydrogen atom.Additionally,a parameter of apparent exchange current density was deprived from the cathodal polarization curve with high overpotential,and a new bio-effect current density was defined through statistical analysis,which was linearly dependent to the activity of denitrification bacteria.Activated carbon fiber(ACF)electrode was also found to be more suitable to the electrochemical denitrifying system compared with graphite and platinum. | YING Diwen JIA Jinping ZHANG Lehua | 2007 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2007,1,3: | 1 |

| 11 | Effects of Seaweed Extracts on Promoting Growth and Improving Stress Resistance in Sugarcane显示文摘A field investigation was executed in sugarcane producing area of Zhanjiang,Guangdong Province with YT03-373 as the test variety to understand the possible impacts of seaweed extracts on phenology,yield and quality attributes of sugarcane. Foliar application of seaweed extracts were carried out on sugarcane at seedling and tillering stages. Agronomic traits,yield,sugar content,leaf drought resistance and pest resistance of sugarcane were analyzed for optimization of application time at proper phenological stages. The results that compared to the control,the application of seaweed extracts at different stages of sugarcane enhanced production of sugarcane with increase rate of 10. 83%-12. 87%,and improved theoretical sugar yield of sugarcane up to 1. 9 t/ha while enhancing water retention capacity and water content of sugarcane leaves that consequently led to wilting risk reduction by escaping drought and improved resilience to drought impact on sugarcane. Seaweed extracts also performed excellent in pest management of sugarcane,and they exerted different control effects on sugarcane borers,aphids and thrips. An increase in output of sugarcane was observed to be 15. 09% compared to control,while the net income was improved by up to 32. 64% in the seaweed extracts application treatment. | 13 | Enhanced monopole transition strength from the cluster decay of ^(13)C显示文摘The inelastic excitations and cluster decay of ^(13)C have been measured using the reaction,9Be(^(13)C, ^(13)C* →~9Be + α)~9Be. We observe strong excitation to the 14.3-MeV(1/2-) resonant state from the cluster-decay channel, leading to an enhanced monopole matrix element of(6.3 ± 0.6) fm^2. This large cluster-related monopole strength is a clear indication of the cluster-structure domination of this state and is consistent with the recent prediction of the orthogonality condition model(OCM). | 14 | Wax deposition law and OLGA-Based prediction method for multiphase flow in submarine pipelines显示文摘In this study,the effects of wax deposition on submarine multiphase pipelines are investigated.In order to understand the mechanism of wax deposition in submarine multiphase pipelines,a wax deposition model in a submarine pipeline was established using the OLGA wax deposition module,and key factors influencing this phenomenon were analyzed.Additionally,a multifactor impact analysis of wax deposition was performed via the orthogonal test method.The results indicated the relative influence of five factors on oil-gas-water three-phase wax deposition,namely,oil flow rate,water content,inlet temperature,gas-oil ratio,and outlet pressure.Then,the main influencing factors of wax deposition in a multiphase pipeline flow were extracted,and the wax deposition prediction model was established.The wax deposition rate under different operating conditions was simulated using the OLGA wax deposition simulation module.The SPSS software was used to perform nonlinear regression analysis under different working conditions.In this manner,the constant terms in the wax deposition prediction model for a submarine multiphase pipeline were obtained.The prediction model could be used to programmatically predict wax deposition along a multiphase pipeline by programming the initial waxing conditions.By using this method,the wax deposition prediction model of an MN submarine multiphase pipeline was obtained under different working conditions.After comparing the predicted and the OLGA simulation results,it was concluded that the established wax deposition model can be used to accurately calculate the wax deposition in a submarine multiphase pipeline within an allowable error range.If the physical properties and operating parameters of the conveying medium in a multiphase pipeline are given,the developed oil-gas-water three-phase wax deposition model can be used to predict the distribution of wax deposition in submarine multiphase pipelines without laboratory experiments.The results of this study can help production units understand the waxing situation of pipelines in time in order to scientifically formulate a pigging plan and avoid pipeline blockages and shutdowns. | Ying Xie Jin Meng Diwen Chen | 2022 | Petroleum2022,8,1: | 0 |
