1Ultralight and ordered lamellar polyimide-based graphene foams with efficient broadband electromagnetic absorption显示文摘The development of high-performance microwave absorption materials with strong absorption capacity and broad bandwidth is highly desirable in the field of electromagnetic pollution protection.Herein,ultralight polyimide-based graphene foam with ordered lamellar structure is precisely designed and controllably constructed by bidirectional freezing process.More lamellar interfaces formed inside the foam per unit volume effectively facilitate the layer-by-layer dissipation for the vertical incident electromagnetic waves,thereby endowing the foam with efficient broadband electromagnetic absorption performance.More importantly,electromagnetic absorption performance can be controllably adjusted by optimizing impedance distribution and microstructure of skeletons.As a result,the optimized foam with an ultralow density of 9.10 mg/cm^(3)presents a minimum reflection loss value of-61.29 dB at 9.25 GHz and an effective absorption bandwidth of 5.51 GHz(7.06-12.57 GHz,covering the whole X band) when the thickness is 4.75 mm.Yawei Zhang Shuangshuang Li Xinwei Tang Wei Fan Qianqian Lan Le Li Piming Ma Weifu Dong Zicheng Wang Tianxi Liu 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,7:3
2Microelectrode array recordings of excitability of low Mg^(2+)-induced acute hippocampal slices显示文摘Neuronal connections can be detected by neuronal network discharges in hippocampal neurons cultured on multi-electrodes. However, the multi-electrode-array (MEA) has not been widely used in hippocampal slice culture studies focused on epilepsy. The present study induced spontaneous synchronous epileptiform activity using low Mg2+ artificial cerebrospinal fluid on acute hippocampal slices to record hippocampal discharges with MEA. Results showed that burst duration and average number of spikes in a burst were significantly greater in the CA3 compared with dentate gyrus and CA1 areas. In Schaffer cut-off group, CA1 area discharges disappeared, but synchronous discharges remained in the CA3 area. Moreover, synchronous discharge frequency in the Schaffer cut-off group was similar to control. However, burst duration and average number of spikes in a burst were significantly decreased compared with control (P < 0.05). 3Contrasting physical properties of the trilayer nickelates Nd4Ni3O10 and Nd4Ni3O8显示文摘We report the crystal structures and physical properties of trilayer nickelates Nd4Ni3O10and Nd4Ni3O8.Measurements of magnetization and electrical resistivity display contrasting behaviors in the two compounds.Nd4Ni3O10shows a paramagnetic metallic behavior with a metal-to-metal phase transition(T^*)at about 162 K,as revealed by both magnetic susceptibility and resistivity.Further magnetoresistance and Hall coefficient results show a negative magnetoresistance at low temperatures and the carrier type of Nd4Ni3O10is dominated by hole-type charge carriers.The significant enhancement of Hall coefficient and resistivity below T*suggests that effective charge carrier density decreases when cooling through the transition temperature.In contrast,Nd4Ni3O8 shows an insulating behavior.In addition,this compound shows a paramagnetic behavior with the similar magnetic moment as that of Nd4Ni3O10derived from the Curie-Weiss fitting.This may suggest that the magnetic moments in both systems are contributed by Nd^3+ ions.By applying pressures up to about 49 GPa,the insulating behavior is still present and becomes even stronger under a high pressure.Our results suggest that the different Ni configurations(Ni^1+/2+ or Ni^2+/3+)and the changes of coordination environment of Ni sites may account for the contrasting behaviors in trilayer nickelates Nd4Ni3O10and Nd4Ni3O8.Qing Li ChengPing He XiYu Zhu Jin Si XinWei Fan Hai-Hu Wen 2021Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2021,64,2:2

5The prognostic landscape of genes and infiltrating immune cells in cytokine induced killer cell treated-lung squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma显示文摘Objective:Patients with non–small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)respond differently to cytokine-induced killer cell(CIK)treatment.Therefore,potential prognostic markers to identify patients who would benefit from CIK treatment must be elucidated.The current research aimed at identifying predictive prognostic markers for efficient CIK treatment of patients with NSCLC.Methods:Patients histologically diagnosed with NSCLC were enrolled from the Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital.We performed whole-exome sequencing(WES)on the tumor tissues and paired adjacent benign tissues collected from 50 patients with NSCLC,and RNA-seq on tumor tissues of 17 patients with NSCLC before CIK immunotherapy treatment.Multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression analysis was used to analyze the association between clinical parameters and prognostic relevance.WES and RNA-seq data between lung squamous cell carcinoma(SCC)and adenocarcinoma(Aden)were analyzed and compared.Results:The pathology subtype of lung cancer was the most significantly relevant clinical parameter associated with DFS,as analyzed by multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression(P=0.031).The patients with lung SCC showed better CIK treatment efficacy and extended DFS after CIK treatment.Relatively low expression of HLA class II genes and checkpoint molecules,and less immunosuppressive immune cell infiltration were identified in the patients with lung SCC.Conclusions:Coordinated suppression of the expression of HLA class II genes and checkpoint molecules,as well as less immune suppressive cell infiltration together contributed to the better CIK treatment efficacy in lung SCC than lung Aden.Jian Wang Fan Yang Qian Sun Ziqing Zeng Min Liu Wenwen Yu Peng Zhang Jinpu Yu Lili Yang Xinwei Zhang Xiubao Ren Feng Wei 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,4:1
6Auxin signaling module OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF regulates grain yield traits in rice显示文摘Auxin is an important phytohormone in plants, and auxin signaling pathways in rice play key roles in regulating its growth, development, and productivity. To investigate how rice grain yield traits are regulated by auxin signaling pathways and to facilitate their application in rice improvement, we validated the functional relationships among regulatory genes such as OsIAA10, OsSK41, and OsARF21 that are involved in one of the auxin(OsIAA10) signaling pathways. We assessed the phenotypic effects of these genes on several grain yield traits across two environments using knockout and/or overexpression transgenic lines.Based on the results, we constructed a model that showed how grain yield traits were regulated by OsIAA10 and OsTIR1, OsAFB2, and OsSK41 and OsmiR393 in the OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF module and by OsARF21 in the transcriptional regulation of downstream auxin response genes in the OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF module. The population genomic analyses revealed rich genetic diversity and the presence of major functional alleles at most of these loci in rice populations. The strong differentiation of many major alleles between Xian/indica and Geng/japonica subspecies and/or among modern varieties and landraces suggested that they contributed to improved productivity during evolution and breeding. 7Identification of hub genes and their novel diagnostic and prognostic significance in pancreatic adenocarcinoma显示文摘Objective:The main reasons for the poor prognoses of pancreatic adenocarcinoma(PA)patients are rapid early-stage progression,advanced stage metastasis,and chemotherapy resistance.Identification of novel diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers of PA is therefore urgently needed.Methods:Three mRNA microarray datasets were obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus database to select differentially expressed genes(DEGs).Gene Ontology(GO)and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment analyses for hub genes were performed using DAVID.Correlations between expression levels of hub genes and cancer-infiltrating immune cells were investigated by TIMER.Cox proportional hazard regression analyses were also performed.Serum hub genes were screened using the HPA platform and verified for diagnostic value using ELISAs.Results:We identified 59 hub genes among 752 DEGs.GO analysis indicated that these 59 hub genes were mainly involved in the defense response to viruses and the type I interferon signaling pathway.We also discovered that RSAD2 and SMC4 were associated with immune cell infiltration in the PA microenvironment.Additionally,DLGAP5 mRNA might be used as an independent risk factor for the prognoses of PA patients.Furthermore,the protein encoded by ISG15,which exists in peripheral blood,was validated as a potential diagnostic biomarker that distinguished PA patients from healthy controls(area under the curve:0.902,95%confidence interval:0.819–0.961).Conclusions:Our study suggested that RSAD2 and SMC4 were associated with immune cell infiltration in the PA microenvironment,while DLGAP5 mRNA expression might be an independent risk factor for the survival prognoses of PA patients.Moreover,ELISAs indicated that serum ISG15 could be a potential novel diagnostic biomarker for PA.Duo Zuo Yongzi Chen Xinwei Zhang Zhuozhi Wang Wenna Jiang Fan Tang Runfen Cheng Yi Sun Lu Sun Li Ren Rui Liu 2022Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,7:1

9Exploring the Evolution of Passenger Flow and Travel Time Reliability with the Expanding Process of Metro System Using Smartcard Data显示文摘Metro system has experienced the global rapid rise over the past decades. However,few studies have paid attention to the evolution in system usage with the network expanding. The paper's main objectives are to analyze passenger flow characteristics and evaluate travel time reliability for the Nanjing Metro network by visualizing the smart card data of April 2014,April 2015 and April 2016. We performed visualization techniques and comparative analyses to examine the changes in system usage between before and after the system expansion. Specifically,workdays,holidays and weekends were specially segmented for analysis.Results showed that workdays had obvious morning and evening peak hours due to daily commuting,while no obvious peak hours existed in weekends and holidays and the daily traffic was evenly distributed. Besides,some metro stations had a serious directional imbalance,especially during the morning and evening peak hours of workdays. Serious unreliability occurred in morning peaks on workdays and the reliability of new lines was relatively low,meanwhile,new stations had negative effects on exiting stations in terms of reliability. 12Effect of Nitrogen and Sulfur Co‑Doped Graphene on the Electrochemical Hydrogen Storage Performance of Co_(0.9)Cu_(0.1)Si Alloy显示文摘Co_(0.9)Cu_(0.1)Si alloy was prepared by mechanical alloying method.Nitrogen-doped graphene(NG)and nitrogen–sulfur codoped graphene(NSG)were prepared by hydrothermal method.5 wt%graphene oxide,NG and NSG were doped into Co_(0.9)Cu_(0.1)Si alloy,respectively,by ball milling to improve the electrochemical hydrogen storage performance of the composite material.X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy were used to characterize the structure and morphology of the composite material,and the LAND battery test system and three-electrode battery system were used to test the electrochemical performance of the composite material.The composite material showed better discharge capacity and better cycle stability than the pristine alloy.In addition,in order to study the optimal ratio of NSG,3%,5%,7%and 10%of NSG were doped into Co_(0.9)Cu_(0.1)Si alloy,respectively.Co_(0.9)Cu_(0.1)Si alloy doped with 5%NSG had the best performance among all the samples.The best discharge capacity was 580.1 mAh/g,and its highest capacity retention rate was 64.1%.The improvement in electrochemical hydrogen storage performance can be attributed to two aspects.On the one hand,the electrocatalytic performance of graphene is improved by co-doping nitrogen and sulfur,on the other hand,graphene has excellent electrical conductivity.Wenhao Fan Jianxun Zhao Dayong Liu Qingcheng Liang Wanqiang Liu Qingshuang Wang Heng Liu Peng Chen Shang Gao Xinlong Bao Yong Cheng Xinwei Wang Xin Guo 2023Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2023,36,6:0
13Smart Design and Manufacturing the Welded Q350 Steel Frames via Lifecycle Management Strategy of Digital Twin显示文摘Artificial intelligent aided design and manufacturing have been recognized as one kind of robust data-driven and data-intensive technologies in the integrated computational material engi-neering(ICME)era.Motivated by the dramatical developments of the services of China Railway High-speed series for more than a decade,it is essential to reveal the foundations of lifecycle man-agement of those trains under environmental conditions.Here,the smart design and manufacturing of welded Q350 steel frames of CR200J series are introduced,presenting the capability and opportu-nity of ICME in weight reduction and lifecycle management at a cost-effective approach.In order to address the required fatigue life time enduring more than 9×10^(6)km,the response of optimized frames to the static and the dynamic loads are comprehensively investigated.It is highlighted that the maximum residual stress of the optimized welded frame is reduced to 69 MPa from 477 MPa of previous existing one.Based on the measured stress and acceleration from the railways,the fatigue life of modified frame under various loading modes could fulfil the requirements of the lifecycle man-agement.Moreover,our recent developed intelligent quality control strategy of welding process mediated by machine learning is also introduced,envisioning its application in the intelligent weld-ing.Letian Fan Xinchao Wang Yongsheng Chen Li Wang Shumi Liu Yuanfei Wang Xinwei Li Kun Du Jia Zhang Xingyu Gao Feng Sun Haifeng Song William Yi Wang Jinshan Li 2023Journal of Beijing Institute of Technology2023,32,4:0
