| 1 | Coalbed methane genesis, occurrence and accumulation in China显示文摘Coalbed methane (CBM) is an important type of unconventional gas. Commercial development of CBM in America has been very successful since the 1980s. The CBM industry in Australia and Canada has developed rapidly during the last decade. Commercial development of CBM in China started in the 1990s, and has made great progress. The geological theory of CBM in China has achieved great advancement in genesis, occurrence and accumulation. On the aspect of CBM genesis, five CBM genetic types (primary biogenic gas, secondary biogenic gas, thermal degradation gas, pyrolysis gas and mixed gas) are identified by studying the geochemical characteristics of CBM, and a tracing indicator system is established. The discovery of secondary biogenic gas in medium-high rank coal reservoirs has widened the potential of CBM resources. On the aspect of CBM occurrence, the gas adsorption regulation under combined action of temperature and pressure is revealed by conducting adsorption experiments of different coal ranks under varying temperature and pressure conditions. Besides, by applying the adsorption potential theory in CBM research, the adsorption model under combined action of temperature and pressure is established. The new model can predict CBM resources accurately, and overcome the limitation of the traditional Langmuir model which uses just a single factor to describe the adsorption characteristics of deep buried coal. On the aspect of CBM accumulation, it is proposed that there are three evolutionary stages during CBM accumulation, including gas generation and adsorption, unsaturated gas adsorption, gas desorption-diffusion and preservation. Controlled by tectonic evolution, hydrodynamics and sealing conditions, CBM tends to be regionally enriched in synclines. | 2 | Origin and evolution of waters in the Hancheng coal seams,the Ordos Basin,as revealed from water chemistry and isotope(H,O,^(129)I) analyses显示文摘The coal seams in the Permian Taiyuan Formation and the Carboniferous Shanxi Formation are the primary reservoirs for the coalbed methane(CBM)in the Hancheng region in the Ordos Basin.In this paper,the origin and evolution of waters associated with CBM production were studied on the basis of water chemistry and isotopes including the chloride and iodine compositions,oxygen and hydrogen stable isotopes,and radioactive isotope ratio of129I/127I.The ratio of129I/127I of water was determined by accelerator mass spectrometry(AMS).The result shows that the formation water is of NaHCO3and NaCl types with the total dissolved solids(TDS)varying from 1532.29 mg/L to 7061.12 mg/L.The values of129I and I/Cl ratio indicate that the formation waters were diluted by meteoric water.The129I/127I ratios range from 6.6×10 13to 1459.5×10 13.The129I/127I ratios for most of the samples are between the129I/127I initial value and that of recent anthropogenic water.This age of the formation water samples,obtained through the129I decay curve method,ranges from 0 Ma to 18.5 Ma,suggesting that the waters from the Taiyuan Formation and the Shanxi Formation are very young.Two different origins of water are identified in the Hancheng region.One group is dominated by pre-anthropogenic meteoric water,and is characterized by129I/127I ratios lower than the initial value of 15×10 13andδD,δ18O values of waters below the Global Meteoric Water Line.The other group is characterized by129I/127I ratios in excess of 15×10 13,which has undergone variable degrees of dilution by recent anthropogenic water. | MA XingZhi SONG Yan LIU ShaoBo JIANG Lin HONG Feng | 2013 | Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,11: | 8 |

| 4 | Interfacial microstructure evolution and bonding mechanisms of 14YWT alloys produced by hot compression bonding显示文摘Hot compression bonding was first used to join oxide-dispersion-strengthened ferrite steels(14 YWT)under temperatures of 750–1100℃ with a true strain range of 0.11–0.51. Subsequently, the microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of the joints were characterized, revealing that the 14 YWT steels could be successfully bonded at a temperature of at least 950℃ with a true strain of 0.22, without degrading the fine grain and nanoparticle distribution, and the presence of inclusions or micro-voids along the bonding interface. Moreover, the joints had nearly the same tensile properties at room temperature and exhibited a similar fracture morphology with sufficient dimples compared to that of the base material. An electron backscattered diffraction technique and transmission electron microscopy were systematically employed to study the evolution of hot deformed microstructures. The results showed that continuous dynamic recrystallization characterized by progressive subgrain rotation occurred in this alloy, but discontinuous dynamic recrystallization characterized by strain-induced grain boundary bulging and subsequent bridging sub-boundary rotation was the dominant nucleation mechanism. | 10 | The key stage and moment of coalbed gas reservior evolution in the Qinshui Basin,China显示文摘The evolution of coalbed gas reservoir is characterized by coalbed gas geochemistry and gas content. On the basis of burial history and thermal history, the forming process of coalbed gas reservoir and the gas accumulative history in the Qinshui Basin are discussed in this paper. The difference of the thermal history, geochemistry characteristic, and gas accumulative history between Yangcheng and Huozhou areas shows that the formation of coalbed gas reservoir in the Qinshui Basin is controlled by the geological process in the critical stage and the critical moment. The components and isotopes of coalbed methane are determined by the stage at which the coal maturation reaches its maximum rank. The coalbed methane accumulative history is related to the temperature and pressure of the coal burial history, because the coalbed gas is mainly in adsorptive state. | 11 | Reservoir Porosity Measurement Uncertainty and its Influence on Shale Gas Resource Assessment显示文摘Reservoir porosity is a critical parameter for the process of unconventional oil and gas resources assessment. It is difficult to determine the porosity of a gas shale reservoir, and any large deviation will directly reduce the credibility of any shale gas resources evaluation. However, there is no quantitative explanation for the accuracy of porosity measurement. In this paper, measurement uncertainty, an internationally recognized index, was used to evaluate the results of porosity measurement of gas shale plugs, and its impact on the credibility of shale gas resources assessment was determined. The following conclusions are drawn:(1) the measurement uncertainty of porosity of a shale plug is 1.76%–3.12% using current measurement methods, the upper end of which is too large to be acceptable. | 16 | Dynamic recrystallization behavior and interfacial bonding mechanism of 14Cr ferrite steel during hot deformation bonding显示文摘In this study, hot compression bonding was first applied to join 14Cr ferrite steel at temperatures of 950–1200°C and strains of 0.11–0.51 under strain rates of 0.01–30 s^(-1).Subsequently, tensile tests were performed on the joints to evaluate the reliability of the joints formed.Detailed microstructural analyses suggest that two different competing dynamic recrystallization(DRX) mechanisms occur during the bonding process depending on the strain rate, and the joints obtained at different strain rate exhibits distinct healing effect.At a low strain rate(0.01 s^(-1)), continuous DRX occurs, as expected in high-stackingfault-energy materials, and is characterized by the progressive conversion of the sub-boundaries into larger-angle boundaries, which involves very limited grain boundaries migration.In addition, straininduced precipitation(SIP) is sufficient under this condition, further impeding the healing of bonding interface.Hence, the joints obtained at low strain rate fractured at the bonding interface easily.Whereas discontinuous DRX is activated at high strain rates(10 and 30 s^(-1)).Under this condition, the formation of sub-boundaries is severely suppressed, resulting in the piling-up of dislocations and hence the storage of a greater amount of stored energy for nucleation and subsequent nuclei growth via the long-distance grain boundaries migration.Meanwhile, the SIP process is sluggish, making the conditions much more favorable for grain boundaries migration which plays a key role in the healing of the original bonding interface.Thus, the joints can be successfully bonded when a high strain rate is applied, with the joints exhibiting tensile properties similar to that of the base material. | Liying Zhou Wenxiong Chen Shaobo Feng Mingyue Sun Bin Xu Dianzhong Li | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,36,8: | 1 |
| 17 | Spin-selective corner reflector for retro-reflection and absorption by a circular dichroitic manner显示文摘Recently, we have witnessed an extraordinary spurt in attention toward manipulating electromagnetic waves by metasurfaces. Particularly, tailoring of circular polarization has attracted great amounts of interest in both microwave and optics regimes. Circular dichroism, an exotic chiroptical effect of natural molecules, has aroused discussion about this issue, yet it is still in its infancy. Herein, we initiate circular dichroism followed by controlling spin-selective wavefronts via chiral metasurfaces. An N-shaped chiral resonator loaded with two lumped resistors is proposed as the meta-atom producing an adequate phase gradient. Assisted by the ohmic dissipation of the introduced resistors, the effect of differential absorption provides an auxiliary degree of freedom for developing circularly polarized waves with a designated spin state. A planar corner reflector that can achieve retro-reflection and absorption for right-and left-handed circularly polarized incidence is theoretically simulated and experimentally observed at microwave frequency. | 18 | Allometric models for aboveground biomass of six common subtropical shrubs and small trees显示文摘The aboveground biomass(AGB)of shrubs and small trees is the main component for the productivity and carbon storage of understory vegetation in subtropical secondary forests.However,few allometric models exist to accurately evaluate understory biomass.To estimate the AGB of five common shrub(diameter at base<5 cm,<5 m high)and one small tree species(<8 m high,trees’s seedling),206 individuals were harvested and species-specific and multi-species allometric models developed based on four predictors,height(H),stem diameter(D),crown area(Ca),and wood density(ρ).As expected,the six species possessed greater biomass in their stems compared with branches,with the lowest biomass in the leaves.Species-specific allometric models that employed stem diameter and the combined variables of D~2H andρDH as predictors accurately estimated the components and total AGB,with R^(2) values from 0.602 and 0.971.A multi-species shrub allometric model revealed that wood density×diameter×height(ρDH)was the best predictor,with R^(2) values ranging from between 0.81 and 0.89 for the components and total AGB,respectively.These results indicated that height(H)and diameter(D)were effective predictors for the models to estimate the AGB of the six species,and the introduction of wood density(ρ)improved their accuracy.The optimal models selected in this study could be applied to estimate the biomass of shrubs and small trees in subtropical regions. | Cheng Huang Chun Feng Yuhua Ma Hua Liu Zhaocheng Wang Shaobo Yang Wenjing Wang Songling Fu Han Y.H.Chen | 2022 | Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,4: | 1 |
| 19 | Acellular nerve grafts supplemented with induced pluripotent stem cell-derived exosomes promote peripheral nerve reconstruction and motor function recovery显示文摘Peripheral nerve injury is a great challenge in clinical work due to the restricted repair gap and weak regrowth ability.Herein,we selected induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs)derived exosomes to supplement acellular nerve grafts(ANGs)with the aim of restoring long-distance peripheral nerve defects.Human fibroblasts were reprogrammed into iPSCs through non-integrating transduction of Oct3/4,Sox2,Klf4,and c-Myc.The obtained iPSCs had highly active alkaline phosphatase expression and expressed Oct4,SSEA4,Nanog,Sox2,which also differentiated into all three germ layers in vivo and differentiated into mature peripheral neurons and Schwann cells(SCs)in vitro.After isolation and biological characteristics of iPSCs-derived exosomes,we found that numerous PKH26-labeled exosomes were internalized inside SCs through endocytotic pathway and exhibited a proliferative effect on SCs that were involved in the process of axonal regeneration and remyelination.After that,we prepared ANGs via optimized chemical extracted process to bridge 15 mm long-distance peripheral nerve gaps in rats.Owing to the promotion of iPSCs-derived exosomes,satisfactory regenerative outcomes were achieved including gait behavior analysis,electrophysiological assessment,and morphological analysis of regenerated nerves.Especially,motor function was restored with comparable to those achieved with nerve autografts and there were no significant differences in the fiber diameter and area of reinnervated muscle fibers.Taken together,our combined use of iPSCs-derived exosomes with ANGs demonstrates good promise to restore long-distance peripheral nerve defects,and thus represents a cell-free strategy for future clinical applications. | Jianfeng Pan Meng Zhao Xiangjiao Yi Jianguo Tao Shaobo Li Zengxin Jiang Biao Cheng Hengfeng Yuan Feng Zhang | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,9: | 1 |
