1Underground ground control monitoring and interpretation,and numerical modeling, and shield capacity design显示文摘Mine or longwall panel layout is a 3D structure with highly non-uniform stress distribution. Recognition of such fact will facilitate underground problem identification/investigation and solving by numerical modeling through proper model construction. Due to its versatility, numerical modeling is the most popular method for ground control design and problem solving. However numerical modeling results require highly experienced professionals to interpret its validity/applicability to actual mining operations due to complicated mining and geological conditions. Underground ground control monitoring is routinely performed to predict roof behavior such as weighting and weighting interval without matching observation of face mining condition while the mining pressures are being monitored, resulting in unrealistic interpretation of the obtained data on mining pressure. The importance of ground control pressure monitoring and simultaneous observation of mining and geological conditions is illustrated by an example of shield leg pressure monitoring and interpretation in an U.S. longwall coal mine: it was found that the roof strata act like a plate, not an individual block of the size of a shield dimension, as commonly assumed by all researchers and shield capacity is not a fixed property for a longwall panel or a mine or a coal seam. 2Accelerated evolution of an Lhx2 enhancer shapes mammalian social hierarchies显示文摘Social hierarchies emerged during evolution,and social rank influences behavior and health of individuals.However,the evolutionary mechanisms of social hierarchy are still unknown in amniotes.Here we developed a new method and performed a genome-wide screening for identifying regions with accelerated evolution in the ancestral lineage of placental mammals,where mammalian social hierarchies might have initially evolved.Then functional analyses were conducted for the most accelerated region designated as placental-accelerated sequence 1(PAS1,P=3.15 × 10^-18).Multiple pieces of evidence show that PAS1 is an enhancer of the transcription factor gene Lhx2 involved in brain development.PAS1s isolated from various amniotes showed different c/s-regulatory activity in vitro,and affected the expression of Lhx2 differently in the nervous system of mouse embryos.PAS1 knock-out mice lack social stratification.PAS1 knock-in mouse models demonstrate that PAS1s determine the social dominance and subordinate of adult mice,and that social ranks could even be turned over by mutated PAS1.All homozygous mutant mice had normal huddled sleeping behavior,motor coordination and strength.Therefore,PAS1-Lhx2 modulates social hierarchies and is essential for establishing social stratification in amniotes,and positive Darwinian selection on PAS1 plays pivotal roles in the occurrence of mammalian social hierarchies.Yuting Wang Guangyi Dai Zhili Gu Guopeng Liu Ke Tang Yi-Hsuan Pan Yujie Chen Xin Lin Nan Wu Haoshan Chen Su Feng Shou Qiu Hongduo Sun Qian Li Chuan Xu Yanan Mao Yong Edward Zhang Philipp Khaitovich Yan-Ling Wang Qunxiu Liu Jing-Dong Jackie Han Zhen Shao Gang Wei Chun Xu Naihe Jing Haipeng Li 2020Cell Research2020,30,5:4
3Cold Stress-induced Glucosyltransferase CsUGT78A15 is Involved in the Formation of Eugenol Glucoside in Camellia sinensis显示文摘Eugenol is a natural phenolic compound known for its health-promoting properties and its ability to add a floral scent to tea plants.Plant eugenol glycosides have been identified and shown to make important contributions to fruit floral quality.However,the details of their biosynthesis and metabolism in tea plants are still unknown.Here,eugenol glucoside was unambiguously identified as a native metabolite in the tea plant,and its biosynthesis was shown to be induced by low temperature treatment.Through the analysis of UGTs induced by low temperature,the glycosyltransferase CsUGT78A15 was identified in tea,and its encoded protein was shown to catalyze the glucosylation of eugenol.Vmax/Km ratios showed that eugenol was the most suitable substrate for CsUGT78A15.Sugar donor preference analysis showed that CsUGT78A15 had a higher selectivity for glucose,followed by galactose and glucuronic acid.The expression of CsUGT78A15was correlatedwith the accumulation of eugenol glucoside in different tissues and genotypes of tea.Down-regulation of CsUGT78A15 led to a decreased eugenol glucoside content under cold stress,indicating that CsUGT78A15 plays an important role in the biosynthesis of eugenol glucoside under cold stress.The identification of eugenol glucoside in the tea plant and the discovery of a cold stress-induced eugenol glucosyltransferase in tea provide the foundation for the improvement of tea flavor under cold stress and the biotechnological production of eugenol glucoside.Mingyue Zhao Binbin Cai Jieyang Jin Na Zhang Tingting Jing Jingming Wang Yuting Pan Zixiang Zhou Yifan Zhao Yingying Feng Feng Yu Mengting Zhang Yating Li Zhonghua Liu Chuankui Song 2020Horticultural Plant Journal2020,6,6:4

6Laparoscopic vs.open surgery for gastrointestinal stromal tumors of esophagogastric junction:A multicenter,retrospective cohort analysis with propensity score weighting显示文摘Objective:Laparoscopic resection is increasingly performed for gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs).However,the laparoscopic approach for GISTs located in the esophagogastric junction(EGJ-GIST)is surgically challenging.This study compares the efficacy of laparoscopic surgery and the open procedure for EGJ-GIST through the propensity score weighting(PSW)method.Methods:Between April 2006 and April 2018,1,824 surgical patients were diagnosed with primary gastric GIST at four medical centers in South China.Of these patients,228 were identified as EGJ-GISTs and retrospectively reviewed clinicopathological characteristics,operative information,and long-term outcomes.PSW was used to create the balanced cohorts.Results:PSW was carried out in laparoscopic and open-surgery cohorts according to year of surgery,sex,age,body mass index(BMI),tumor size,mitotic rates and recurrence risk.After PSW,438 patients consisting of 213 laparoscopic(L group)and 225 open surgery(O group)patients were enrolled.After PSW,the following measures in the L group were superior to those in the O group:median operative time[interquartile range(IQR)]:100.0(64.5-141.5)vs.149.0(104.0-197.5)min,P<0.001;median blood loss(IQR):30.0(10.0-50.0)vs.50.0(20.0-100.0)mL,P=0.002;median time to liquid intake(IQR):3.0(2.0-4.0)vs.4.0(3.0-5.0)d,P<0.001;median hospital stay(IQR):6.0(4.0-8.0)vs.7.0(5.0-12.0)d,P<0.001;and postoperative complications(10.3%vs.22.7%,P=0.001).The median follow-up was 55(range,2-153)months in the entire cohort.No significant differences were detected in either relapse-free survival(RFS)[hazard ratio(HR):0.372,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.072-1.910,P=0.236]or overall survival(OS)(HR:0.400,95%CI:0.119-1.343,P=0.138)between the two groups.Conclusions:Laparoscopic surgery for EGJ-GIST is associated with the advantages of shorter operative time,reduced blood loss,shorter time to liquid intake,and shorter length of stay,all without compromising postoperative outcomes and long-term survival.Wenjun Xiong Yuting Xu Tao Chen Xingyu Feng Rui Zhou Jin Wan Yong Li Guoxin Li Wei Wang 2021Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2021,33,1:2

10An efficient chemical reduction-induced assembly of Fe_(3)O_(4)@graphene fiber for wire-shaped supercapacitors with ultrahigh volumetric energy density显示文摘Benefiting from high flexibility and weavability,the wire-shaped supercapacitors(SCs)arouse tremendous interests for the applications in wearable/portable electronics.Graphene fiber(GF)is considered as a promising linear electrode for wire-shaped SCs.However,the bottleneck is how to develop the GF-based linear electrode with facile fabrication process while wellmaintaining satisfactory electrochemical performance.Herein,a novel Fe_(3)O_(4)@GF composite linear electrode is proposed via a chemical reduction-induced assembly approach,in which the GO and Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles(NPs)realize the efficient selfassembly owing to the electrostatic and van der Waals interactions,as well as the sufficient reduction of GO during the preparation process.The resultant fiber-shaped architecture shows boosted charge-transfer kinetics,high flexibility and structural integrity.Such Fe_(3)O_(4)@GF linear electrode exhibits excellent electrochemical behaviors including a large volumetric specific capacitance(~250.75 F cm^(−3)),remarkable rate capability and favorable electrochemical kinetics in aqueous electrolyte,superior than previously reported GF-based linear electrodes.For real application,a high-performance wire-shaped SC with excellent flexibility and weavability is fabricated based on such Fe_(3)O_(4)@GF linear electrode and gel electrolyte,demonstrating ultrahigh volumetric energy density(18.8 mWh cm^(−3)),power density(4000 mW cm^(−3))and strong durability(~93.5%retention after 10000 cycles).Prospectively,the fabricated wire-shaped SC can maintain reliable electrochemical behaviors in various deformation states,showing its potentials in future portable and wearable devices.XIAO Peng SHI MinJie XU Li TAO FengBo LI Yu ZHU HangTian LIU YuTing LI ZhiMin ZHOU YunPeng FENG Wei 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,10:1
11Identification of Persister Drug Combination Clinafloxacin+Cefuroxime+Gentamicin That Eradicates Persistent Pseudomonas aeruginosa Infection in a Murine Cystic Fibrosis Model显示文摘Pseudomonas aeruginosa can cause persistent infections,such as biofilm infections,in cystic fibrosis patients,which are difficult to cure due to non-growing persister bacteria that are not effectively killed by the current treatments.While antibiotic activity against growing P.aeruginosa is well documented,their activity against non-growing stationary phase cultures is less clear.Here,we evaluated six major classes of antibiotics,including cell wall and cell membrane inhibitors,protein synthesis inhibitors,DNA synthesis inhibitors,RNA synthesis inhibitors,sulfa drugs and nitrofurantoin,for their activity against growing and non-growing P.aeruginosa.We foundthat cell wall and cell membrane inhibitors(cefuroxime and colistin),DNA synthesis inhibitors(clinafloxacin)and sulfa drugs(sulfamethoxazole)had good activity against stationary-phase bacteria,while protein synthesis inhibitors(gentamicin),RNA synthesis inhibitor(rifampin)and nitrofurantoin showed relatively poor activity.Clinafloxacin was the only drug able to completely eradicate stationary-phase bacteria within four days.The cefuroxime+gentamicin+clinafloxacin combination was able to kill all bacteria from a biofilm within two days,whereas the clinically used drug combination cefuroxime+gentamicin/colistin only partially killed the biofilmbacteria.In amurine persistent cystic fibrosis lung infectionmodel,only the cefuroxime+gentamicin+clinafloxacin drug combination eradicated all bacteria from the lungs,whereas clinafloxacin alone,cefuroxime+clinafloxacin or the currently recommended drug combination cefuroxime+gentamicin failed to do so.The complete eradication is a property of the clinafloxacin combination,as the otherwise identical levofloxacin combination did not clear the bacterial loads from the lungs.Our findings offer new therapeutic options for more effective treatment of persistent P.aeruginosa infections,with possible implications for treating other persistent infections.Yuting Yuan Rebecca Yee Naina Gour Xinzhong Dong Jie Feng Wanliang Shi Ying Zhang 2023Infectious Microbes & Diseases2023,5,1:1
12Probability Response of Shape Memory Alloy Beam Subjected to Noise Excitation显示文摘Shape Memory Alloy(SMA)is a typical material with memory effect,and it is widely used in many engineering fields.Based on the elastic theory and Galerkin method,a vibration system of SMA beam with rigid constraints is proposed.The non⁃smooth transformation was employed to deal with the discontinuous position,and the original system was turned into an approximate equivalent system associated with the Dirac function.Then,using the stochastic averaging method,the drift and diffusion coefficients of the corresponding Fokker Planck Kolmogorov equation were described.Lastly,the approximate probability response of the system was formulated analytically.Meanwhile,numerical simulation was carried out to verify the effectiveness of analytical results.Furthermore,stochastic bifurcation was discussed.Results show that the stationary probability response of the system was affected by the increase of noise amplitude and restitution force,and a certain restitution value and damping could induce P⁃bifurcation.Yuting Li Jinqian Feng Yingxiao Wang 2020Journal of Harbin Institute of Technology(New Series)2020,27,1:1
13Ni_(x)Co_(1-x)S as an effective noble metal-free cocatalyst for enhanced photocatalytic activity of g-C_(3)N_(4)显示文摘Solar photocatalysis,as a method of green energy production and sustainable technology,has been regarded as one of the most effective strategies to resolve environmental issues and the current energy crisis.In this work,intimate contact hollow Ni_(x)Co_(1-x)S polyhedron/g-C3N4 nanosheet composites were prepared in-situ through a facile one-step hydrothermal method.The as-prepared Ni_(x)Co_(1-x)S/g-C_(3)N_(4) composites showed superior photocatalytic activity and high stability for H2 generation and methyl orange(MO)degradation under visible light irradiation.The optimized 4 wt.%Ni_(x)Co_(1-x)S/g-C_(3)N_(4) composite attained a maximum H2 evolution rate of 1420μmol g^–1 h^–1,which was about 157 times higher than that of pure g-C3N4.In addition,the Ni_(x)Co_(1-x)S/g-C_(3)N_(4) composite also exhibited greatly improved photocatalytic activity for dye degradation,which for MO was at 98.14%in 9 min.The outstanding photocatalytic performance was predominantly attributed to the unique architecture of hollow Ni_(x)Co_(1-x)S polyhedrons,which not only provided more active sites at the edges and surface as convenient charge transfer channels,but also promoted the separation and transport of electron-hole pairs.This work provides some novel ideas for the design and development of highly efficient noble metal-free cocatalyst/semiconductor systems for photocatalytic H2 generation and dye degradation.Yuting Gao Feng Chen Zhe Chen Hongfei Shi 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,56,21:1
14Promoter and coding sequence diversity of CsCCD1 may contribute to the differential accumulation of floralβ-ionone in fresh tea leaves显示文摘The carotenoid-derived volatileβ-ionone makes an important contribution to tea fragrance.Here,we qualitatively and quantitatively analysed 15 carotenoids in tea leaves of 13 cultivars by UHPLC-APCI-MS/MS.The 13 cultivars were divided into two groups by PCA(Principal Component Analysis)clustering analysis of their carotenoid content,and OPLS-DA(Orthogonal projections to latent structures)indicated that the levels ofβ-carotene(VIP=2.89)and lutein(VIP=2.30)were responsible for much of the variation between the two groups.Interestingly,theβ-carotene toβ-ionone conversion rates in Group 1 were higher than in Group 2,while theβ-carotene content was significantly lower in Group 1 than in Group 2.Theβ-ionone content was significantly higher in Group 1.Pearson Correlation Coefficient calculation between the transcription level of candidate genes(CsCCD1 and CsCCD4)and the accumulation ofβ-ionone indicated that CsCCD1 may involve in the formation ofβ-ionone in 13 cultivars.Prokaryotic expression and in vitro enzyme activity assays showed that‘Chuanhuang 1’had an amino acid mutation in carotenoid cleavage dioxygenases 1(CsCCD1)compared with‘Shuchazao’,resulting in a significantly higherβ-ionone content in‘Chuanhuang 1’.Sequence analysis showed that‘Chuanhuang 1’and‘Huangdan’had different CsCCD1 promoter sequences,leading to significantly higher CsCCD1 expression andβ-ionone accumulation in‘Chuanhuang 1’.These results indicated that the promoter and coding sequence diversity of CsCCD1 might contribute to the differential accumulation ofβ-ionone in different tea cultivars.Jingming Wang Mingyue Zhao Ting Gao Yingying Feng Feiquan Wang Yuting Pan Jieyang Jin Tingting Jing Mengqian Lu Mengting Zhang Danyang Guo Xiaochun Wan Wilfried Schwab Chuankui Song 2023Horticultural Plant Journal2023,9,4:1

16Hierarchical Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@MoS_(2) heterostructures:A first principles calculation and application in corrosion/wear protection显示文摘Surface and interface engineering plays a crucial role in modulating the properties of materials,especially two-dimensional(2D)materials.Hence,a strategy,forming heterostructures with MoS_(2),is proposed to overcome the natural agglomeration of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene nanosheets.Most importantly,the interactions between Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx and MoS_(2) were elaborately investigated by first-principles calculations based on density functional theory(DFT)for the first time.The calculations demonstrate that van der Waals forces dominate the interface interactions of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) and MoS_(2),rendering Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@MoS_(2) heterostructures favorable stability.The Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@MoS_(2) heterostructure composites were synthesized through a facile one-step hydrothermal method and exhibit a 2D hierarchical structure.Furthermore,the corrosion and tribological properties of epoxy composite coatings with varying proportions of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@MoS_(2) composites were studied in detail.As a result,the epoxy composite coating with 0.1 wt.%Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@MoS_(2) composites(Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@MoS_(2)-0.1)exhibits excellent corrosion protection and antiwear performances.The Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@MoS_(2)-0.1 keeps the largest low-frequency impedance modulus(|Z|_(0.)01 Hz)and coating resistance(R_(c))during the whole immersion period.Its wear rate is 0.09μm^(3)/(Nμm)under the load of 10 N,one half of that of pure epoxy coating(EP).This work further broadens the application of MXene-based heterostructure composites.Meng Cai Peng Feng Han Yan Yuting Li Shijie Song Wen Li Hao Li Xiaoqiang Fan Minhao Zhu 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,21:1
17Integrative Analysis of Genome,3D Genome,and Transcriptome Alterations of Clinical Lung Cancer Samples显示文摘Genomic studies of cancer cell alterations,such as mutations,copy number variations(CNVs),and translocations,greatly promote our understanding of the genesis and development of cancers.However,the 3D genome architecture of cancers remains less studied due to the complexity of cancer genomes and technical difficulties.To explore the 3D genome structure in clinical lung cancer,we performed Hi-C experiments using paired normal and tumor cells harvested from patients with lung cancer,combining with RNA sequenceing analysis.We demonstrated the feasibility of studying 3D genome of clinical lung cancer samples with a small number of cells(1×10^(4)),compared the genome architecture between clinical samples and cell lines of lung cancer,and identified conserved and changed spatial chromatin structures between normal and cancer samples.We also showed that Hi-C data can be used to infer CNVs and point mutations in cancer.By integrating those different types of cancer alterations,we showed significant associations between CNVs,3D genome,and gene expression.We propose that 3D genome mediates the effects of cancer genomic alterations on gene expression through altering regulatory chromatin structures.Our study highlights the importance of analyzing 3D genomes of clinical cancer samples in addition to cancer cell lines and provides an integrative genomic analysis pipeline for future larger-scale studies in lung cancer and other cancers.Tingting Li Ruifeng Li Xuan Dong Lin Shi Miao Lin Ting Peng Pengze Wu Yuting Liu Xiaoting Li Xuheng He Xu Han Bin Kang Yinan Wang Zhiheng Liu Qing Chen Yue Shen Mingxiang Feng Xiangdong Wang Duojiao Wu Jian Wang Cheng Li 2021Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2021,19,5:1
18Synergistic lubrication of few-layer Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)/MoS_(2) heterojunction as a lubricant additive显示文摘The few-layer Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)/MoS_(2) heterostructure was successfully prepared via vertically growing of MoS_(2) nanosheets on the few-layer Ti3C2Tx matrix using hydrothermal method.The tribological properties as additive in mineral oil(150N)were evaluated in detail.The 0.3 wt% of few-layer Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)/MoS_(2) heterostructure addition amount can reduce the friction and wear of 150N by 39% and 85%,respectively.Moreover,the enhancement effect of few-layer Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)/MoS_(2) on tribological properties of 150N is superior to that of few-layer Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x),MoS_(2) nanosheets,and their mechanical mixture.Based on the characterization and analysis of wear debris and wear track,such excellent tribological properties of the few-layer Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)/MoS_(2) heterostructure derive from its structural advantage toward good dispersion,the synergistic lubrication of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) and MoS_(2) nanosheets during the rubbing process,and the formation of tribo-film.Peng FENG Yanping REN Yuting LI Jifan HE Zhuang ZHAO Xiaoliang MA Xiaoqiang FAN Minhao ZHU 2022Friction2022,10,12:1

20Polarimetric parity-time symmetry in a photonic system显示文摘Parity-time(PT)symmetry has attracted intensive research interest in recent years.PT symmetry is conventionally implemented between two spatially distributed subspaces with identical localized eigenfrequencies and complementary gain and loss coefficients.The implementation is complicated.In this paper,we propose and demonstrate that PT symmetry can be implemented between two subspaces in a single spatial unit based on optical polarimetric diversity.By controlling the polarization states of light in the single spatial unit,the localized eigenfrequencies,gain,loss,and coupling coefficients of two polarimetric loops can be tuned,leading to PT symmetry breaking.As a demonstration,a fiber ring laser based on this concept supporting stable and single-mode lasing without using an ultranarrow bandpass filter is implemented.Lingzhi Li Yuan Cao Yanyan Zhi Jiejun Zhang Yuting Zou Xinhuan Feng Bai-Ou Guan Jianping Yao 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:1
