| 1 | Investigating the dynamic mechanical behaviors of polyurea through experimentation and modeling显示文摘Polyurea is widely employed as a protective coating in many fields because of its superior ability to improve the anti-blast and anti-impact capability of structures.In this study,the mechanical properties of polyurea XS-350 were investigated via systematic experimentation over a wide range of strain rates(0.001-7000 s^-1)by using an MTS,Instron VHS,and split-Hopkinson bars.The stress-strain behavior of polyurea was obtained for various strain rates,and the effects of strain rate on the primary mechanical properties were analyzed.Additionally,a modified rate-dependent constitutive model is proposed based on the nine-parameter Mooney-Rivlin model.The results show that the stress-strain curves can be divided into three distinct regions:the linear-elastic stage,the highly elastic stage,and an approximate linear region terminating in fracture.The mechanical properties of the polyurea material were found to be highly dependent on the strain rate.Furthermore,a comparison between model predictions and the experimental stress-strain curves demonstrated that the proposed model can characterize the mechanical properties of polyurea over a wide range of strain rates. | Hao Wang Ximin Deng Haijun Wu Aiguo Pi Jinzhu Li Fenglei Huang | 2019 | Defence Technology(防务技术)2019,15,6: | 13 |

| 3 | Health-related quality of life among rural residents aged 45-69 years in Hua County, Henan Province, China: Results of ESECC Trial for esophageal cancer screening with endoscopy显示文摘Objective: There have been few population-based studies evaluating health related quality of life(HRQOL) in rural populations in China, and this study aimed to assess the current status of and risk factors for HRQOL in a general rural population in high risk region of esophageal cancer in China.Methods: From November 2015 to September 2016, 12,085 permanent residents aged 45–69 years from 257 villages in the Endoscopic Screening for Esophageal Cancer in China(ESECC) trial(Clinical Trials.gov:NCT01688908) randomly selected from Hua County, Henan Province, China were interviewed. The EQ-5 D-3 L,a generic measure of HRQOL, and a questionnaire were used to assess their HRQOL and potential risk factors.Results: Among all the participants, 30.62% of the participants reported problems in at least one EQ-5 D dimension. Pain/discomfort(25.52%) was the most frequently reported problem followed by anxiety/depression(7.97%), mobility(5.82%), usual activities(2.61%) and self-care(1%). These rural residents had a mean EQ-5 D index score of 0.948, and lower EQ-5 D index scores were associated with older age, female gender, lower levels of household annual per capita income, living alone, using shallow wells as main source of drinking water, exposure to family members smoking, testiness, unhealthy dietary habits, overweight or obesity, upper gastrointestinal cancer related symptoms and chronic diseases.Conclusions: Rural residents in China have a relatively low quality of life. Health promotion programs in this population should focus on the elderly, especially elderly women and the elderly living alone. Improving basic living circumstances and primary medical care services should be priorities. | 4 | Preparation of Diamond-like Carbon Films on the Surface of Ti Alloy by Electro-deposition显示文摘In this paper, diamond-like carbon (DLC) fi[ms were deposited on Ti alloy by electro-deposition. DLC films were brown and composed of the compact grains whose diameter was about 400 nm. Examined by XPS, the main composition of the films was carbon. | 5 | Biophysical studies of the interaction between a triazole derivative and bovine serum albumin by multi-spectroscopic and molecular modeling methods显示文摘The interaction between 3-thiol-4-(2,4-dichlorobenzylideneamino)-5-methyl-4H-1,2,4-triazole (CBTZ) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) under physiological conditions was investigated by fluorescence,UV-vis absorption and circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy as well as molecular modeling methods. The result of fluorescence experiment indicates the static quenching as a result of the formation of the CBTZ-BSA complex. The binding constants (Ka) at different temperatures were calculated according to the modified Stern-Volmer equation. The enthalpy change (-H) and entropy change (-S) were determined based on the van′t Hoff equation. Both negative-H and-S indicated that van der Waals and hydrogen-bonding forces were the dominant intermolecular forces to stabilize the CBTZ-BSA complex. Site marker competitive replacement experiments demonstrated that binding of CBTZ to BSA primarily took place in sub-domain IIA (Sudlow's site I). The binding distance (r = 7.2 nm) between CBTZ and the tryptophan residue of BSA was estimated according to the theory of fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET). The conformational studies by circular dichroism (CD) and three-dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy showed that the presence of CBTZ induced minor changes of the secondary structure of BSA. | 15 | Galangin mitigates glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis by activating autophagy of BMSCs via triggering the PKA/CREB signaling pathway显示文摘Glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis(GIOP),one of the most common and serious adverse effects associated with glucocorticoid administration,manifests as decreased bone formation and increased bone resorption,eventually culminating in bone loss.Galangin(GAL)is a flavonoid extracted from the medicinal herbal galangal that possesses a variety of pharmacological activities and can inhibit osteoclastogenesis.However,the effects of GAL on GIOP remain unclear.Our study aims to explore the effects of GAL on GIOP in mice and the underlying mechanism.Our results show that GAL markedly mitigates the severity of dexamethasone(Dex)-induced osteoporosis in mice and potentiates osteogenic differentiation in mouse bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs).Furthermore,GAL also significantly counteracts Dex-mediated suppression of osteogenic differentiation and autophagy in human BMSCs.GAL augments PKA/CREB-mediated autophagic flux in BMSCs and the bones of osteoporotic mice.GAL-mediated osteogenic differentiation in Dex-treated BMSCs is significantly decreased by the PKA inhibitor H89 and autophagy inhibitor 3-methyladenine.Collectively,our data indicate that GAL can ameliorate GIOP,partly by augmenting the mineralization of BMSCs by potentiating PKA/CREB-mediated autophagic flux,highlighting its potential therapeutic use in treating glucocorticoid-related osteoporosis. | Chenying Zeng Shan Wang Huimin Gu Fenglei Chen Ziming Wang Jinteng Li Zhongyu Xie Pei Feng Huiyong Shen Yanfeng Wu | 2023 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,8: | 0 |

| 18 | A host-guest approach to fabricate metallic cobalt nanoparticles embedded in silk-derived N-doped carbon fibers for efficient hydrogen evolution显示文摘Hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) plays a key role in generating clean and renewable energy. As the most effective HER electrocatalysts, Pt group catalysts suffer from severe problems such as high price and scarcity. It is highly desirable to design and synthesize sustainable HER electrocatalysts to replace the Pt group catalysts. Due to their low cost, high abundance and high activities, cobalt-incorporated N-doped nanocarbon hybrids are promising candidate electrocatalysts for HER. In this report, we demonstrated a robust and eco-friendly host-guest approach to fabricate metallic cobalt nanoparticles embedded in N-doped carbon fibers derived from natural silk fibers. Benefiting from the onedimensional nanostructure, the well-dispersed metallic cobalt nanoparticles and the N-doped thin graphitized carbon layer coating, the best Cobased electrocatalyst manifests low overpotential(61 mV@10 mA/cm^2) HER activity that is comparable with commercial 20% Pt/C, and good stability in acid. | 19 | High-speed penetration of ogive-nose projectiles into thick concrete targets:Tests and a projectile nose evolution model显示文摘The majority of the projectiles used in the hypersonic penetration study are solid flat-nosed cylindrical projectiles with a diameter of less than 20 mm.This study aims to fill the gap in the experimental and analytical study of the evolution of the nose shape of larger hollow projectiles under hypersonic penetration.In the hypersonic penetration test,eight ogive-nose AerMet100 steel projectiles with a diameter of 40 mm were launched to hit concrete targets with impact velocities that ranged from 1351 to 1877 m/s.Severe erosion of the projectiles was observed during high-speed penetration of heterogeneous targets,and apparent localized mushrooming occurred in the front nose of recovered projectiles.By examining the damage to projectiles,a linear relationship was found between the relative length reduction rate and the initial kinetic energy of projectiles in different penetration tests.Furthermore,microscopic analysis revealed the forming mechanism of the localized mushrooming phenomenon for eroding penetration,i.e.,material spall erosion abrasion mechanism,material flow and redistribution abrasion mechanism and localized radial upsetting deformation mechanism.Finally,a model of highspeed penetration that included erosion was established on the basis of a model of the evolution of the projectile nose that considers radial upsetting;the model was validated by test data from the literature and the present study.Depending upon the impact velocity,v0,the projectile nose may behave as undistorted,radially distorted or hemispherical.Due to the effects of abrasion of the projectile and enhancement of radial upsetting on the duration and amplitude of the secondary rising segment in the pulse shape of projectile deceleration,the predicted DOP had an upper limit. | Xu Li Yan Liu Junbo Yan Zhenqing Shi Hongfu Wang Yingliang Xu Fenglei Huang | 2024 | Defence Technology(防务技术)2024,32,2: | 0 |
| 20 | Research on the quasi-isentropic driving model of aluminized explosives in the detonation wave propagation direction显示文摘Taking CL-20(Hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane)-based aluminized explosives with high gurney energy as the research object, this research experimentally investigates the work capability of different aluminized explosive formulations when driving metal flyer plates in the denotation wave propagation direction.The research results showed that the formulations with 43 μm aluminum(Al) powder particles(The particle sizes of Al powder were in the range of 2~43 μm) exhibited the optimal performance in driving flyer plates along the denotation wave propagation direction. Compared to the formulations with Al powder 13 μm, the formulations with Al powder 2 μm delivered better performance in accelerating metal flyer plates in the early stage, which, however, turned to be poor in the later stage. The CL-20-based explosives containing 25% Al far under-performed those containing 15% Al. Based on the proposed quasi-isentropic hypothesis, relevant isentropy theories, and the functional relationship between detonation parameters and entropy as well as Al reaction degree, the characteristic lines of aluminized explosives in accelerating flyer plates were theoretically studied, a quasi-isentropic theoretical model for the aluminized explosive driving the flyer plate was built and the calculation methods for the variations of flyer plate velocity, Al reaction degree, and detonation product parameters with time and axial positions were developed. The theoretical model built is verified by the experimental results of the CL-20-based aluminized explosive driving flyer plate. It was found that the model built could accurately calculate the variations of flyer plate velocity and Al reaction degree over time. In addition, how physical parameters including detonation product pressure and temperature varied with time and axial positions was identified.
