| 1 | Major advances in studies of the physical geography and living environment of China during the past 70 years and future prospects显示文摘The natural environment provides material essentials for human survival and development. The characteristics,processes, regional differentiation and forcing mechanisms of the elements of the natural environment(e.g. geomorphology,climate, hydrology, soil, etc.) are the main objects of research in physical geography. China has a complex natural environment and huge regional differentiation and therefore it provides outstanding reserach opportunities in physical geography. This review summarizes the most important developments and the main contributions of research in the physical geography and human living environment in China during the past 70 years. The major topics addressed are the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau and the evolution of its cryosphere, the development of fluvial systems, the acidification of the vast arid region of the Asian interior, variations in the monsoon and westerly climate systems on multiple timescales, the development of lakes and wetlands, the watershed system model, soil erosion, past human-environment interactions, biogeography, and physical geographic zonality. After briefly introducing international research developments, we review the history of research in physical geography in China, focusing on the major achievements and major academic debates, and finally we summarize the status of current research and the future prospects. | 2 | Wheat breeding history reveals synergistic selection of pleiotropic genomic sites for plant architecture and grain yield显示文摘Diversity surveys of crop germplasm are important for gaining insights into the genomic basis for plant architecture and grain yield improvement,which is still poorly understood in wheat.In this study,we exome sequenced 287 wheat accessions that were collected in the past 100 years.Population genetics analysis identified that 6.7%of the wheat genome falls within the selective sweeps between landraces and cultivars,which harbors the genes known for yield improvement.These regions were asymmetrically distributed on the A and B subgenomes with regulatory genes being favorably selected.Genome-wide association study(GWAS)identified genomic loci associated with traits for yield potential,and two underlying genes,TaARF12 encoding an auxin response factor and TaDEP1 encoding the G-proteinγ-subunit,were located and characterized to pleiotropically regulate both plant height and grain weight.Elite single-nucleotide haplotypes with increased allele frequency in cultivars relative to the landraces were identified and found to have accumulated over the course of breeding.Interestingly,we found that TaARF12 and TaDEP1 function in epistasis with the classical plant height Rht-1 locus,leading to propose a“Green Revolution”-based working model for historical wheat breeding.Collectively,our study identifies selection signatures that fine-tune the gibberellin pathway during modern wheat breeding and provides a wealth of genomic diversity resources for the wheat research community. | Aili Li Chenyang Hao Zhenyu Wang Shuaifeng Geng Meiling Jia Fang Wang Xiang Han Xingchen Kong Lingjie Yin Shu Tao Zhongyin Deng Ruyi Liao Guoliang Sun Ke Wang Xingguo Ye Chengzhi Jiao Hongfeng Lu Yun Zhou Dengcai Liu Xiangdong Fu Xueyong Zhang Long Mao | 2022 | Molecular Plant2022,15,3: | 4 |
| 3 | Characteristics of S/L Interface Evolution during High Rate Directional Solidification显示文摘The present paper aims to the characterization of high rate direction solidification on Al-Mn and Al-Cu alloys. It is indicated that the relevant cooling rate of high rate directional solidification is defined within 100~103 K/s that is located in the region between near-equilibrium slow growth rate and rapid solidification rate beyond equilibrium condition, and at the meantime there occurred a series of turning effect of interface stability and morphologies.With the increase of growth velocity the interface with planar front evolved to cells and dendrites at the stage of near-equilibrium and with further increase of growth rate they transformed reversely from dendrites to cell structure and then to absolute stability of planar interface. | 10 | Pan-location mapping and localization for the in-situ science exploration of Zhurong Mars rover显示文摘On May 15, 2021, Tianwen-1 successfully landed in the Utopia Planitia of Mars, and its rover Zhurong began to carry out an in-situ science exploration of the Mars surface. To determine the location,driving direction, and exploration targets of the rover, it is necessary to provide decision support for the in-situ science exploration of the rover and ensure the achievement of the scientific objectives, which pose significant challenges to the ground science team. Based on the classical research on Lunar and planetary localization, navigation and exploration target selection, and the recent study of pan-location cartographic theory, a pan-location mapping method for an in-situ rover exploration is proposed. In addition, a panlocation reference system, mapping data model, and mapping method are designed to realize the localization and visualization of the landing platform, rover, and exploration targets. The mapping method has been successfully applied to the localization, navigation, and science exploration of the target selection involved in the in-situ exploration of the Zhurong rover. | 11 | The role of TRPP2 in agonist-induced gallbladder smooth muscle contraction显示文摘TRPP2 channel protein belongs to the superfamily of transient receptor potential(TRP) channels and is widely expressed in various tissues, including smooth muscle in digestive gut. Accumulating evidence has demonstrated that TRPP2 can mediate Ca^(2+) release from Ca^(2+) stores. However, the functional role of TRPP2 in gallbladder smooth muscle contraction still remains unclear. In this study, we used Ca^(2+) imaging and tension measurements to test agonist-induced intracellular Ca^(2+) concentration increase and smooth muscle contraction of guinea pig gallbladder, respectively. When TRPP2 protein was knocked down in gallbladder muscle strips from guinea pig, carbachol(CCh)-evoked Ca^(2+) release and extracellular Ca^(2+) influx were reduced significantly, and gallbladder contractions induced by endothelin 1 and cholecystokinin were suppressed markedly as well. CCh-induced gallbladder contraction was markedly suppressed by pretreatment with U73122, which inhibits phospholipase C to terminate inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor(IP3) production, and 2-aminoethoxydiphenyl borate(2APB), which inhibits IP3 recepor(IP3R) to abolish IP3R-mediated Ca^(2+) release. To confirm the role of Ca^(2+) release in CCh-induced gallbladder contraction, we used thapsigargin(TG)-to deplete Ca^(2+) stores via inhibiting sarco/endoplasmic reticulum Ca^(2+)-ATPase and eliminate the role of store-operated Ca^(2+) entry on the CCh-induced gallbladder contraction. Preincubation with 2 μmol L^(-1) TG significantly decreased the CCh-induced gallbladder contraction. In addition, pretreatments with U73122, 2APB or TG abolished the difference of the CCh-induced gallbladder contraction between TRPP2 knockdown and control groups. | 15 | Observations and interpretations of geomorphologic features in the Tianwen-1 landing area on Mars by using orbital imagery data显示文摘China’s first Mars exploration mission,Tianwen-1,successfully landed in southern Utopia Planitia on Mars on May 15,2021.This work presents a detailed investigation of the geologic context of the landing area surface for this mission based on orbital remotesensing data.We constructed a geomorphologic map for the Tianwen-1 landing area.Results of our detailed geomorphologic map show several major landforms within the landing area,including rampart craters,mesas,troughs,cones,and ridges.Analysis of materials on the landing area surface indicates that most of the landing area is covered by Martian dust.Transverse aeolian ridges are widely distributed within the landing area,indicating the surface contexts were(and still are)modified by regional winds.In addition,a crater counting analysis indicates the landing area has an absolute model age of~3.3 Ga and that a later resurfacing event occurred at~1.6 Ga.Finally,we outline four formational scenarios to test the formation mechanisms for the geomorphologic features on the landing area surface.The most likely interpretation to explain the existence of the observed surface features can be summarized as follows:A thermal influence may have played an important role in the formation of the surface geomorphologic features;thus,igneous-related processes may have occurred in the landing area.Water ice may also have been involved in the construction of the primordial surface configuration.Subsequent resurfacing events and aeolian processes buried and modified the primordial surface. | Hai Huang Xing Wang Yuan Chen Qing Zhang FeiYue Zhao Xin Ren XingGuo Zeng Wei Yan WangLi Chen Bin Liu DaWei Liu LianBo Fu JianJun Liu | 2023 | Earth and Planetary Physics2023,7,3: | 0 |

| 17 | Ta-doped modified Gd2O3 film for a novel high k gate dielectric显示文摘Gadolinium oxide(Gd2O3) film has potential as a candidate gate dielectric to replace Hf O2. In this work,we provide a simple method by trace Ta(~1%) doping to significantly improve the dielectric properties of Gd2O3 film. And effects of annealing temperatures of Ta-doped Gd2O3(GTO) films are investigated in detail. Results show that GTO film annealed at 500℃ exhibits excellent performance as a novel gate dielectric material for integrated circuit, showing a small surface roughness of 0.199 nm, a large band gap of 5.45 e V, a high dielectric constant(k) of 21.2 and a low leakage current density(Jg) of 2.10 × 10^-3A/cm^2.All properties of GTO films are superior to pure Gd2O3 films and these GTO films meet the requirements for next-generation gate dielectrics. | 18 | Experimental investigation and thermodynamic assessment of the yttrium-hydrogen binary system显示文摘A coupled experimental investigation and thermodynamic study of the yttrium-hydrogen(Y-H) binary system were carried out to provide more comprehensive and quantitative insights into the key thermodynamic properties of this system. Y-H system in the full range of H/Y = 0–3.0 was investigated by accurate pressure composition isotherm(PCI) measurement to provide credible phase equilibria information and thermodynamic data.The phase boundaries obtained were in agreement with previous experimental data but with improved accuracy.With the guide of the crystal structures, all the solid phases were modelled using the three sublattice model. The Y-H phase diagram and thermodynamic parameters were calculated and assessed with the CALPHAD technique.The obtained results are in very good agreement with our experimental data and the published data reported in literature.
