| 2 | Preparation and application of iron oxide/persimmon tannin/graphene oxide nanocomposites for efficient adsorption of erbium from aqueous solution显示文摘Rare earth elements(REEs)are used for the developme nt of new energy materials owing to their intrinsic physicochemical property.However,excess REEs in water threaten the safety of animals,plants and humans.An efficient way to separate REEs from the water is therefore needed.In this study,a biosorbent consisting of iron oxide(Fe3 O4),persimmon tannin(PT),and graphene oxide(GO)as Fe3 O4/PT/GO was prepared,and the adsorption of trivalent erbium(Er3+)ions from aqueous solution was investigated.The adsorption process for Er3+ions conforms to pseudo-second order kinetic and the Langmuir isotherm model behavior.Thermodynamic studies indicate that the adsorption process is spontaneous and endothermic.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),X-ray diffraction(XRD),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA).Fourier-transform infrared(FT-IR)spectroscopy;Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)analysis,and vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM)were used to assess the adsorption mechanism of Er3+ions onto the Fe3 O4/PT/GO biosorbent.A combination of electrostatic interactions,redox reactivity and chelation are responsible for adsorption of Er3+ions on the Fe3 O4/PT/GO biosorbent,The magnetic Fe3 O4/PT/GO biosorbent can be easily separated under the magnetic field for effective recycle of Er3+ions from aqueous solution.Therefore,this new biomass composite holds great promise for wastewater treatment. | Lin Gao Zhongmin Wang Chaoke Qin Zhenming Chen Mingmin Gao Na He Xi Qian Zhide Zhou Guiyin Li | 2020 | Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,12: | 3 |

| 5 | Therapeutic silencing miR-146b-5p improves cardiac remodeling in a porcine model of myocardial infarction by modulating the wound reparative phenotype显示文摘Fibrotic remodeling is an adverse consequence of immune response-driven phenotypic modulation of cardiac cells following myocardial infarction(Ml).MicroRNA-146b(miR-146b)is an active regulator of immunomodulation,but its function in the cardiac inflammatory cascade and its clinical implication in fibrotic remodeling following Ml remain largely unknown.Herein,miR-146b-5p was found to be upregulated in the infarcted myocardium of mice and the serum of myocardial ischemia patients.Gain-and loss-of-function experiments demonstrated that miR-146b-5p was a hypoxia-induced regulator that governed the pro-fibrotic phenotype transition of cardiac cells.Overexpression of miR-146b-5p activated fibroblast proliferation,migration,and fibroblast-to-myofibroblast transition,impaired endothelial cell function and stress survival,and disturbed macrophage paracrine signaling.Interestingly,the opposite effects were observed when miR-146b-5p expression was inhibited.Luciferase assays and rescue studies demonstrated that the miR-146b-5p target genes mediating the above phenotypic modulations included interleukin 1 receptor associated kinase 1(IRAKI)and carcinoembryonic antigen related cell adhesion molecule 1(CEACAM1).Local delivery of a miR-146b-5p antagomir significantly reduced fibrosis and cell death,and upregulated capillary and reparative macrophages in the infarcted myocardium to restore cardiac remodeling and function in both mouse and porcine Ml models.Local inhibition of miR-146b-5p may represent a novel therapeutic approach to treat cardiac fibrotic remodeling and dysfunction following Ml. | Yiteng Liao Hao Li Hao Cao Yun Dong Lei Gao Zhongmin Liu Junbo Ge Hongming Zhu | 2021 | Protein & Cell2021,12,3: | 1 |

| 13 | Effect of early correction of anemia with erythropoietin on left ventricular mass in predialysis patients:a multi-center trial显示文摘Objective To assess the effects of early correction of anemia with recombinant human erythropoietin (rHuEPO) on the development and progression of left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) in patients with mild-to-moderate chronic renal insufficiency (CRI) who are not on hemodialysis. Methods A total of 158 patients with serum creatinine from 147μmol/L to 400μmol/L were nrolled in this prospective, multicenter study. Eighty-six patients with hemoglobin (Hb)<110g/L received rHuEPO treatment with a target Hb of ≥110g/L (Group A). Forty patients with comparable Hb concentration (<110g/L) but did not receive rHuEPO (Group B) and 32 patients with Hb≥110g/L and without rHuEPO treatment (Group C) were served as controls. Left ventricular mass index (LVMI) was evaluated by echocardiography at baseline and every 3 months for 2 years. Results There was no difference in age, gender, etiology of renal failure, blood pressure and cardiovascular risk factors among the 3 groups. At baseline, the prevalence of LVH was 72.1% in group A,72.5% in group B and 59.4% in group C. LVMI was inversely correlated with Hb levels (r=0.70, P<0.01). During the 2-year period, the mean LVMI decreased from 142.6±25.7g/m2 to 132.4±18.5 g/m2 in group A, while increased significantly in both group B and group C. The mean Hb concentration increased from 93.8±14.6g/L to 111.2±10.3g/L (P<0.05) in group A, but tended to decrease in group B and group C. There was no significant change of the mean blood pressure, number of anti-hypertensive drugs and serum creatinine concentrations in all 3 groups. However, patients' serum creatinine doubled more often in group B and group C than in group A.Conclusions LVH was common in predialysis CRI patients and was associated with the severity of anemia. In this work, we elaborately designed and synthesized a pair of mononuclear iridium(Ⅲ) complexes with similar structures but different degrees of cationization. [Ir2-f][2PF_(6)] with two counterions is obtained by simple Nmethylation of the ancillary ligand of [Ir1-f][PF_(6)] which is a classic cationic iridium(Ⅲ) complex. Such a tiny modification results in tremendously different optical properties in dilute solutions and powders.[Ir1-f][PF_(6)] exhibits weak light in solution but enhanced emission in solid-state as well as poly(methyl methacrylate) matrix, indicative of its aggregation-induced emission(AIE) activity. On the sharp contrary, [Ir2-f][2PF_(6)] is an aggregation-caused quenching(ACQ) emitter showing strong emission in the isolated state but nearly nonemissive in aggregation states. Benefiting from the appealing characteristics of mechanochromic luminescence and AIE behavior, [Ir1-f][PF_(6)] has been successfully applied in reversible re-writable data recording and cell imaging. By using thes technique, the surface alloying layer similar to superalloy Inconel 625 has been obtained on the surface of three kinds of melallic materials (low carbon steel, industrial pure iron, stainless steel Cr18Ni9). The results of the composition and microstructure analyzed by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and X-Ray Uffrachon (XRD) show that the alloying layer consistS of y matrix and several precipitates (Laves intermetallic phase and carbide etc.). The electrochemical corrosion results show that the surface alloying layer formed on the surface of stainless steel and industrial pure iron have better corrosion resistance than that of nickel base alloy inconel 625 and stainless steel Cr18Ni9 in 3.5%NaCl solution.
