2In vitro comparison of the hemocompatibility of diamond-like carbon and carbon nitride coatings with different atomic percentages of N显示文摘Carbon nitride (CNx) and diamond-like carbon (DLC) coatings were prepared by dc magnetron sputtering at room temperature. Different partial pressures of N2 were used to synthesize CNx to evaluate the relationship between the atomic percentage of nitrogen and hemocompatibility. Auger electron spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy indicated atomic percentages of N of 0.12 and 0.22 and that the CNx coatings were smooth. An in vitro study of the hemocompatibility of the coatings revealed that both CNx coatings had better anticoagulant properties and lower platelet adhesion than DLC. Compared with CN0.12, the CN0.22 coating showed longer dynamic clotting time (about 42 min), static clotting time (23.6 min) and recalcification time (45.6 s), as well as lower platelet adhesion (102 cells μm 2), aggregation, and activation. 3THE PREPARATION OF CROSSLINKED N,O-CARBOXYMETHYL CHITOSAN RESINSAND THEIR ADSORPTION PROPERTIESFOR TRIGLYCERIDE IN SERUM显示文摘Crosslinked N, O-carboxymethyl chitosan resins which can selectively adsorb triglyceride, were prepared by the reaction of N, O- carboxymethyl chitosan with glutaraldehyde solution. Adsorption experiments were performed by adding the resins to the serum. 4Effect of bombarding energy on ion beam assisted deposited DLC film on UHMWPE显示文摘Diamond-like carbon (DLC) films on ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene substrates were prepared at CHn+ ion bombarding energies of 200-1000eV at room temperature using ion beam assisted deposition technique. The wear tests exhibited a high wear resistance for all DLC films. 6An active bacterial anti-adhesion strategy based on directional transportation of bacterial droplets driven by triboelectric nanogenerators显示文摘An active bacterial anti-adhesion strategy based on directional transportation of bacterial droplets driven by a triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG)has not been reported to date,although passive defense approaches can prevent bacterial adhesion by regulating superwetting surfaces combined with incorporated antibacterial substances.Here a triboelectric nanogenerator driving droplet system(TNDDS)was built to drive directional transportation of bacterial droplets to be eliminated,which comprises TENG with periodical frictional Kapton film and aluminum foils and a superhydrophobic driving platform(SDP)with paralleled driving electrodes.The current generated by the TENG triboelectricity is transmitted to the paralleled driving electrodes to form an electric field driving the directional transportation of charged droplets.The critical value of the driven droplet volume on SDP is closely related to the distributed electrodes’distance and width,and the driving distance of droplets is related to the number of electrodes.More crucially,TNDDS can actively drive the charged droplets of prepared triangular silver nanoprisms(Ag NPs)forward and back to mix with and remove a tiny bacterial droplet on an open SDP or in a tiny semi-enclosed channel.Bacteria could be killed by releasing Ag+and effectively removed by TNDDS by regulating the motion direction.Generally,this approach offers a promising application for removing bacteria from material surfaces driven by TENG and opens a new avenue for bacterial anti-adhesion.Jing Lin Jialin Li Shichang Feng Caiqin Gu Huajian Li Hanqing Lu Fei Hu Duo Pan Ben Bin Xu Zhanhu Guo 2023Nano Research2023,16,1:0
7Enhanced Mechanical Properties of AA5083 Matrix Composite via Introducing Al_(0.5)CoCrFeNi Particles and Cryorolling显示文摘High-entropy alloy particles(HEAPs)can markedly enhance the mechanical properties of metal matrix composites(MMCs).In this study,AA5083/Al_(0.5) CoCrFeNi HEAPs MMCs with diff erent HEAPs contents(0,1,and 3 wt%)were prepared via a stir-casting,and then these MMCs sheets were hot rolled(573 K)and cryorolled(77 K),respectively.The mechanical properties of the MMCs sheets were measured by tensile testing and microhardness test.Additionally,their microstructures were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy.Results revealed that the ultimate tensile strength(UTS)of the as-cast AA5083/Al_(0.5) CoC rF eN i HEAPs MMCs were improved from 203 to 257 MPa by adding 3 wt%HEAPs.And the mechanical properties of the MMCs sheets were improved after cryorolling.After cryorolling with 50%rolling reduction ratio,the MMCs with 1 wt%HEAPs had an UTS of 382 MPa,which was 1.9 times that of the MMCs before rolling.Finally,the strengthening mechanisms of HEAPs and cryorolling on the AA5083/HEAPs MMCs were discussed.Hao Gu Zhide Li Kaiguang Luo Laxman Bhatta Hanqing Xiong Yun Zhang Charlie Kong Hailiang Yu 2022Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2022,35,6:0

9A 5′tRNA-Ala-derived small RNA regulates anti-fungal defense in plants显示文摘Apart from their primordial role in protein synthesis,t RNAs can be cleaved to produce t RNA-derived small RNAs(ts RNAs).The biological functions of ts RNAs in plants remain largely unknown.In this study,we developed Rtc B ligation-based small RNA(s RNA)sequencing,a method that captures and distinguishes between 3′-2′,3′-cyclic-phosphate(c P)/phosphate(P)-terminated s RNAs and 3′-OH-terminated s RNAs,and profiled 5′ts RNAs and 5′t RNA halves in Arabidopsis thaliana.We found that Arabidopsis 5′ts RNAs and 5′t RNA halves predominantly contain a c P at the 3′end and require S-like RNase 1(RNS1)and RNS3 for their production.One of the most abundant 5′ts RNAs,5′ts R-Ala,by associating with AGO1,negatively regulates Cytochrome P45071 A13(CYP71 A13)expression and camalexin biosynthesis to repress anti-fungal defense.Interestingly,5′ts R-Ala is downregulated upon fungal infection.Our study provides a global view of 5′ts RNAs and 5′t RNA halves in Arabidopsis and unravels an important role of a 5′ts RNA in regulating anti-fungal defense.Hanqing Gu Bi Lian Yuxiang Yuan Ci Kong Yan Li Chang Liu Yijun Qi 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,1:0
10In vivo Implantation of Hydrophobic Acrylic Intraocular Lenses with Surface Modification显示文摘Purpose:To assess the surface properties of modified hydrophobic acrylic intraocular lenses (IOL) implanted in rabbits.Methods:.The hydrophobic acrylic IOLs were modified with monomer vinyl pyrrolidone by surface modification technique.Phacoemulsification combined with IOL implantation was conducted in 9 rabbits (18 eyes).Postoperative responses were observed by slit-lamp microscope at 3,.7,.15,.30,.90 days after surgery.Results:.During the early stage after IOL implantation,corneal edema and anterior chamber fibrin exudation were observed.The exudate fluid was almost absorbed at the 15th day postoperatively.At 7th day,the anterior chamber exudation in the modification group was significantly less severe than that in non-modification group(P<0.05).Posterior capsular opacification occurred at 30th day after surgery and was aggravated90 days later.IOL dislocation was seen in 5 eyes and occlusion of pupil in 3 eyes.Conclusion:The hydrophobic acrylic IOLs with surface modification have improved surface properties and higher uveal biocompatibility.Guiqin Wang Liqun Cao Na Li Xiujun Peng Huiqin Tang Rongxin Wan Hanqing Gu 2013Eye Science2013,28,4:0
11RESEARCH AND CLINICAL APPLICATION OF A NEW SURFACE MODIFICATION LARGE DIAMETER FOLEY CATHETER显示文摘-The surface of the large diameter three-way foley catheter we design and produce has been modified with the hydrophilic polyurethane,which makes the inner &.outer cavity very smooth.Observed from the canning electron microscope,the cracks of the catheter are closed up,and its surface is much smoother than that of the natural latex catheter. 13Surface Modification of Medical Polyurethane by Plasma Treatment显示文摘The wettability and surface structure of plasma treatment on medical polyurethane were studied.Two kinds of gas,N_(2),Ar,were used to create the dow-temperature plasma under low pressure.The wettability was investigated by means of the sessile drop method using water,the results show that the contact angle of water decreases from 78.8°to 61.9°as the treatment time increases.The results of electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis indicate that original chemical bonds were broken up after plasma,treatment,which was the main reason for the surface modificatioii.At same time,the results of electron spinning resonance show that the amounts of radicals did not increase significantly after treatment,which is advantageous to clinical practice of polyurethane.LI Dejun ZHAO Jie GU Hanqing LU Mozhu DING Fuqing HU Jianfang 1992Chinese Physics Letters1992,9,2:0
14PREPARATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF MEDICAL HYDROSCOPIC POLYURETHANE显示文摘A series of uncharged, anionic, cationic, and heparinized polyetherurethanes(PEUs) was synthesized. The soft segments of these PEUs were respectively obtained by polyte-tramethylene oxide of molecular weight 1000 (PTMO-1000), polythylene glycol of molecularweight 1000 (PEG-1000), PEG-4000, and the mixture of PEG-4000 with PTMO-1000 orPEG-1000. The hard segments consisted of 4,4’ -methylene diphenylene diisocyanate (MDI)which was extended with ethylenediamie (ED), 1,4Mbutanediol (BD), N-methyldiethanolamine(MDEA), or L-Sodium α,ε-diaminocaproate (SDAC), respectively. The chemical structure of different PEUs was confirmed by nuclear magnetic resonance. Waterabsorptions were measured. The results showed that the ionic, heparinized PEUs, and the PEUscontained PEG-4000 as soft segments have higher water absorptions than ordinary PEUs.
