4Kaiso mainly locates in the nucleus in vivo and binds to methylated, but not hydroxymethylated DNA显示文摘Objective:Kaiso is upregulated in many cancers and proposed to bind with both methylated- and unmethylated-DNA in the nucleus as a transcriptional repressor. The objective is to define its subcellular localization in vivo and exact binding DNA sequences in cells. Methods:Compartmentalization of exogenous Kaiso in cells was tracked with enhanced green fluorescence protein(EGFP) tag.The endogenous Kaiso expression in gastric carcinoma tissue was examined with immunohistochemical staining.Kaiso-DNA binding was tested using electrophoretic mobility shift assay(EMSA) and chromatin immunoprecipitation assay(ChIP).Results:Kaiso mainly localized in the nucleus of cancer and stromal cells in vivo, but remained in the cytoplasm of cultured cells. Most importantly, nuclear Kaiso can bind with the methylated-CGCGcontaining sequence in the CDKN2 A promoter, but not with the hydroxymethylated-CGCG sequence in HCT116 cells. Conclusions:Kaiso locates mainly in the nucleus in vivo where it binds with the methylated-CGCG sequences, but does not bind with the hydroxymethylated-CGCG sequences.Sisi Qin Baozhen Zhang Wei Tian Liankun Gu Zheming Lu Dajun Deng 2015Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2015,27,2:1

6An Electromagnetic Perspective of Artificial Intelligence Neuromorphic Chips显示文摘The emergence of artificial intelligence has represented great potential in solving a wide range of complex problems. However, traditional general-purpose chips based on von Neumann architectures face the“memory wall”problem when applied in artificial intelligence applications.Based on the efficiency of the human brain, many intelligent neuromorphic chips have been proposed to emulate its working mechanism and neuron-synapse structure. With the emergence of spiking-based neuromorphic chips, the computation and energy efficiency of such devices could be enhanced by integrating a variety of features inspired by the biological brain.Aligning with the rapid development of neuromorphic chips,it is of great importance to quickly initiate the investigation of the electromagnetic interference and signal integrity issues related to neuromorphic chips for both CMOS-based and memristor-based artificial intelligence integrated circuits. Here, this paper provides a review of neuromorphic circuit design and algorithms in terms of electromagnetic issues and opportunities with a focus on signal integrity issues, modeling, and optimization. Moreover, the heterogeneous structures of neuromorphic circuits and other circuits, such as memory arrays and sensors using different integration technologies, are also reviewed, and locations where signal integrity might be compromised are discussed. Finally,we provide future trends in electromagnetic interference and signal integrity and outline prospects for upcoming neuromorphic devices.Er-Ping Li Hanzhi Ma Manareldeen Ahmed Tuomin Tao Zheming Gu Mufeng Chen Quankun Chen Da Li Wenchao Chen 2023Electromagnetic Science2023,1,3:0
