1Clinical characteristics of 24 asymptomatic infections with COVID-19 screened among close contacts in Nanjing,China显示文摘Previous studies have showed clinical characteristics of patients with the 2019 novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19)and the evidence of person-to-person transmission.Limited data are available for asymptomatic infections.This study aims to present the clinical characteristics of 24 cases with asymptomatic infection screened from close contacts and to show the transmission potential of asymptomatic COVID-19 virus carriers.Epidemiological investigations were conducted among all close contacts of COVID-19 patients(or suspected patients)in Nanjing,Jiangsu Province,China,from Jan 28 to Feb 9,2020,both in clinic and in community.Asymptomatic carriers were laboratory-confirmed positive for the COVID-19 virus by testing the nucleic acid of the pharyngeal swab samples.Their clinical records,laboratory assessments,and chest CT scans were reviewed.As a result,none of the 24 asymptomatic cases presented any obvious symptoms while nucleic acid screening.Five cases(20.8%)developed symptoms(fever,cough,fatigue,etc.)during hospitalization.Twelve(50.0%)cases showed typical CT images of ground-glass chest and 5(20.8%)presented stripe shadowing in the lungs.The remaining 7(29.2%)cases showed normal CT image and had no symptoms during hospitalization.These 7 cases were younger(median age:14.0 years;P=0.012)than the rest.None of the 24 cases developed severe COVID-19 pneumonia or died.The median communicable period,defined as the interval from the first day of positive nucleic acid tests to the first day of continuous negative tests,was 9.5 days(up to 21 days among the 24 asymptomatic cases).Through epidemiological investigation,we observed a typical asymptomatic transmission to the cohabiting family members,which even caused severe COVID-19 pneumonia.Overall,the asymptomatic carriers identified from close contacts were prone to be mildly ill during hospitalization.However,the communicable period could be up to three weeks and the communicated patients could develop severe illness.These results highlighted the importance of close contact tracing and longitudinally surveillance via virus nucleic acid tests.Further isolation recommendation and continuous nucleic acid tests may also be recommended to the patients discharged.Zhiliang Hu Ci Song Chuanjun Xu Guangfu Jin Yaling Chen Xin Xu Hongxia Ma Wei Chen Yuan Lin Yishan Zheng Jianming Wang Zhibin Hu Yongxiang Yi Hongbing Shen 2020Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,5:77
2A DC Current Flow Controller for Meshed Modular Multilevel Converter Multiterminal HVDC Grids显示文摘This paper proposes the design of a novel DC current flow controller(CFC)and evaluates the control performance of balancing and regulating the DC branch currents using the DC CFC in a meshed multi-terminal HVDC(MTDC)grid.The DC CFC consists of two identical full bridge DC-DC converters with the capacitors of the two converters being connected in parallel.The scalability of the DC CFC is easily achievable due to the identical bridge converter topology;the cost of this DC CFC is also relatively low due to its simple physical structure and low voltage ratings.The control performance of the DC CFC is tested on a meshed 3-terminal(3-T)HVDC grid,which is based on modular multilevel converters(MMC).The DC branch current control in the meshed MTDC grid is achieved using the proposed control strategy of the DC CFC,and is verified through case studies on the real-time digital simulator(RTDS).Na Deng Puyu Wang Xiao-Ping Zhang Guangfu Tang Junzheng Cao 2015CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2015,1,1:41
3Effects of Floating Ring Bearing Manufacturing Tolerance Clearances on the Dynamic Characteristics for Turbocharger显示文摘The inner and outer oil film dynamic characteristic coefficients of floating ring bearings(FRBs) change due to the manufacturing tolerance of the floating ring, journal and intermediate, which leads to high-speed turbocharger's vibration too large and even causes nonlinear vibration accident. However, the investigation of floating ring bearing manufacturing tolerance clearance on the rotordynamic characteristics is less at present. In order to study the influence law of inner and outer clearance on turbocharger vibration, the rotor dynamic motion equations of turbocharger supported in FRBs are derived by analyzing the size relations between floating ring, journal and intermediate for the inner and outer oil film clearances, the time transient response analysis for combination of FRBs clearance are developed. A realistic turbocharger is taken as a research object, the FE model of the turbocharger with FRBs is modeled. Under the conditions of four kinds of limit state bearing clearances for inner and outer oil film, the nonlinear transient analyses are performed based on the established FE dynamic models of the nonlinear rotor-FRBs system applied incentive combinations of gravity and unbalance force, respectively. From the waterfall, the simulation results show that the speed for the appearance of fractional frequency is not identical and the amplitude magnitude is different under the four kinds of bearing manufacturing tolerance limit clearances, and fractional frequency does not appear in the turbocharger and the amplitude is minimum under the ODMin/IDMax bearing manufacturing tolerance clearances. 5Effects of Unbalance Location on Dynamic Characteristics of High-speed Gasoline Engine Turbocharger with Floating Ring Bearings显示文摘For the high-speed gasoline engine turbocharger rotor, due to the heterogeneity of multiple parts material, manufacturing and assembly errors, running wear in impeller and uneven carbon of turbine, the random unbalance usually can be developed which will induce excessive rotor vibration, and even lead to nonlinear vibration accidents. However, the investigation of unbalance location on the nonlinear high-speed turbocharger rotordynamic characteristics is less. In order to discuss the rotor unbalance location effects of turbocharger with nonlinear floating ring bearings(FRBs), the realistic turbocharger of gasoline engine is taken as a research object. The rotordynamic equations of motion under the condition of unbalance are derived by applied unbalance force and nonlinear oil film force of FRBs. The FE model of turbocharger rotor-bearing system is modeled which includes the unbalance excitation and nonlinear FRBs. Under the conditions of four different applied locations of unbalance, the nonlinear transient analyses are performed based on the rotor FEM. The differences of dynamic behavior are obvious to the turbocharger rotor systems for four conditions, and the bifurcation phenomena are different. From the results of waterfall and transient response analysis, the speed for the appearance of fractional frequency is not identical and the amplitude magnitude is different from the different unbalance locations, and the non-synchronous vibration does not occur in the turbocharger and the amplitude is relative stable and minimum under the condition 4. 8Prognostic assessment of apoptotic gene polymorphisms in non-small cell lung cancer in Chinese显示文摘Apoptosis plays a key role in inhibiting tumor growth, progression and resistance to anti-tumor therapy. We hypothesized that genetic variants in apoptotic genes may affect the prognosis of lung cancer. To test this hypothesis, we selected 38 potentially functional single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) from 12 genes (BAX, BCL2, BID, CASP3, CASP6, CASP7, CASP8, CASP9, CASP10, FAS, FASLG and MCL1) involved in apoptosis to assess their prognostic significance in lung cancer in a Chinese case cohort with 568 non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. Thirty-five SNPs passing quality control underwent association analyses, 11 of which were shown to be significantly associated with NSCLC survival (P<0.05). After Cox stepwise regression analyses, 3 SNPs were independently associated with the outcome of NSCLC (BID rs8190315: P=0.003; CASP9 rs4645981: P=0.007 and FAS rs1800682: P=0.016). A favorable survival of NSCLC was significantly associated with the genotypes of BID rs8190315 AG/GG (adjusted HR=0.65, 95% CI: 0.49-0.88), CASP9 rs4645981 AA (HR=0.22, 95% CI: 0.07-0.69) and FAS rs1800682 GG (adjusted HR=0.67, 95% CI: 0.46-0.97). Time-dependent receptor operation curve (ROC) analysis revealed that the area under curve (AUC) at year 5 was significantly increased from 0.762 to 0.819 after adding the risk score of these 3 SNPs to the clinical risk score. The remaining 32 SNPs were not significantly associated with NSCLC prognosis after adjustment for these 3 SNPs. 9Lasing on pyroclastic rocks:A case study of ^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar dating on Moshishan Group,eastern Zhejiang Province显示文摘It is difficult to date pyroclastic rocks,for almost all the dating methods,due to the multiple sources during their formation.40Ar/39Ar incremental heating results on groundmass selected from the samples show that the age spectra are meaningless geologically.However,singe crystal total fusions of CO2 lasing on the sanidine separates could yield rational 40Ar/39Ar results and distinguish their sources in this study.Timing on three formations of the Moshishan Group,after avoiding the exotic and altered grains by lasing on the single sanidine separate,was reported in this paper.The lowermost portion of the Chawan Formation gives an age of 113.7±0.3 Ma;the lower part of the Xishantou Formation was formed 116.4±0.4 Ma ago and the bottom of the Gaowu Formation took its shape at 118.4±0.4 Ma.These new ages are much younger than the previous ones,suggesting that these thick volcanic formations had been formed in very short durations.YANG LieKun WANG Fei SHEN JiaLin CHEN Rong XING GuangFu 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,24:6
10Impacts of aerosol chemical compositions on optical properties in urban Beijing,China显示文摘The optical properties of aerosols and their chemical composition,including water-soluble ions,organic carbon(OC),and elemental carbon(EC) in PM_(2.5) and PM_(10),were measured from 26 May to 30 June of 2012 at an urban site in Beijing.The daily average concentrations of PM_(2.5) and PM_(10) were 103.2 and 159.6 μg/m^3,respectively.On average,the OC and EC contributed 20.1% and 4.3% ,respectively,to PM_(2.5) and 16.3% and3.9% ,respectively,to PM_(10).Secondary ions(SO_4^(2-),NO_3^-,and NH_4^+) dominated the water-soluble ions and accounted for 57.9% and 62.6% of PM_(2.5) and PM_(10),respectively.The wind dependence of PM_(2.5),OC,SO_4^(2-),and NO_3^- implied that the pollution sources mainly came from south and southeast of Beijing during the summer.The monthly mean values of the scattering coefficient(σ_(sc)) and absorption coefficient(σ_(ab)) at525 nm were 312.9 and 28.7 Mm^(-1),respectively,and the mean single-scattering albedo(ω) was 0.85.The wind dependence of σ_(sc) revealed that this value was mainly influenced by regional transport during the summer,and the relationship between σ_(ab) and wind indicated that a high σ_(ab) resulted from the joint effects of local emissions and regional transport.The reconstructed σ_(sc) that was derived from the revised IMPROVE equation agreed well with the observations.The contribution of different chemical species toσ_(sc) was investigated under different pollution levels,and it was found that secondary inorganic aerosols accounted for a large part of σ_(sc) during pollution episodes(35.7% ),while organic matter was the main contributor to σ_(sc) under clean conditions(33.6% ).Ping Tian Guangfu Wang Renjian Zhang Yunfei Wu Peng Yan 2015Particuology2015,13,1:5

12Key stress extraction and equivalent test method for hybrid DC circuit breaker显示文摘Firstly, relevant stress properties of millisecond level breaking process and microsecond level commutation process of hybrid HVDC circuit breaker are studied in detail on the basis of the analysis for the application environment and topological structure and operating principles of hybrid circuit breakers, and key stress parameters in transient state process of two time dimensions are extracted. The established digital simulation circuit for PSCAD/EMTDC device-level operation of the circuit breaker has verified the stress properties of millisecond level breaking process and microsecond level commutation process. Then, equivalent test method, circuits and parameters based on LC power supply are proposed on the basis of stress extraction. Finally, the results of implemented breaking tests for complete 200 kV circuit breaker, 100 kV and 50 kV circuit breaker units, as well as single power electronic module have verified the accuracy of the simulation circuit and mathematical analysis. 13Backstepping-based distributed coordinated tracking formultiple uncertain Euler-Lagrange systems显示文摘Based on the idea of backstepping design, distributed coordinated tracking problems under directed topology are discussed for multiple Euler-Lagrange(EL) systems. The dynamic leader case is considered. First, with the parameter-linearity property, a distributed coordinated adaptive control scheme is proposed for EL systems in the presence of parametric uncertainties.Then, subject to nonlinear uncertainties and external disturbances,an improved adaptive control algorithm is developed by using neural-network(NN) approximation of nonlinear functions. Both proposed algorithms can make tracking errors for each follower ultimately bounded. The closed-loop systems are investigated by using the combination of graph theory, Lyapunov theory, and Barbalat Lemma. 15First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. 16Research and application on multi-terminal and DC grids based on VSC-HVDC technology in China显示文摘Voltage source converter(VSC)-based high-voltage direct current(HVDC)and multi-terminal(MT)/DC grid technologies are the new HVDC transmission technologies after ultra-high voltage alternative current(UHVAC)and UHVDC transmission technologies which have been widely used in China.The application of the new technologies has resulted in a rapid increase in the number of schemes in construction and planning worldwide.This has been stimulated by the greater level of functionality available from the VSC technology,which makes it suitable for a wide variety of applications.These include the integration of off-shore wind farms,embedded links within AC networks and interconnectors,especially where the AC networks are relatively‘weak’.VSC technology has renewed interest in MT DC systems,which may ultimately lead to wide area DC grids.This study outlines the research and application on MT and DC grids in China with respect to VSC-HVDC key technologies and DC grid key technologies based on the presentation given in the International Workshop on Next Generation Power Equipment held on 23 September 2016 in Xian,China.The briefing details of the VSC-HVDC projects constructed and to be constructed in China are summarised in this study.Ting An Guangfu Tang Weinan Wang 2017High Voltage2017,2,1:3
17Magnetism in Carbon Nanoscrolls: Quasi-Half-Metals and Half-Metals in Pristine Hydrocarbons显示文摘A magnetic ground state is revealed for the first time in zigzag-edged carbon nanoscrolls(ZCNSs)from spin-unrestricted density functional theory calculations.Unlike their flat counterpart-zigzag-edged carbon nanoribbons,which are semiconductors with spin-degenerate electronic structure-ZCNSs show a variety of magnetic configurations,namely spin-selective semiconductors,metals,semimetals,quasi-half-metals,and half-metals.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first discovery of quasi-half-metals and half-metals in a pure hydrocarbon without resort to an external electric field.In addition,we calculated the spin-dependent transportation of the semiconducting ZCNSs with 12 and 20 zigzag chains,and found that they are 13% and 17% at the Fermi level,respectively,suggesting that ZCNS can be an effective spin filter.Lin Lai Jing Lu Lu Wang Guangfu Luo Jing Zhou Rui Qin Yu Chen Hong Li Zhengxiang Gao Guangping Li Wai Ning Mei Yutaka Maeda Takeshi Akasaka and Stefano Sanvito 2009Nano Research2009,2,11:3
18Modeling and Control of an Isolated Module Multilevel DC/DC Converter for DC Grid显示文摘This paper presents an isolated DC/AC/DC converter using a middle frequency transformer coupling two modular multilevel converters(MMC),suitable for interconnecting DC transmission lines of different voltage levels in high voltage direct current(HVDC)system.The basic operational principle of the isolated module multilevel DC/DC converter(IMMDCC)is analyzed.The dynamic model of IMMDCC is studied in detail and the transient relationship between DC side and AC side of IMMDCC is revealed,which is physically straightforward for understanding the power transfer in IMMDCC.The control strategy in D-Q coordinate system is put forward,and the fault characteristic and corresponding protection method is analyzed.Finally,computer simulation using Matlab/Simulink is performed to verify the dynamic model and the proposed control strategy.The simulation results show good performances and the quick response ability of the proposed control strategy.Xinying Wang Guangfu Tang Zhiyuan He Xiaoguang Wei Hui Pang Xiangning Xiao 2017CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2017,3,2:3

20Calculation of angular glint in near field utilizing graphical electromagnetic computing显示文摘The angular glint in the near field plays an important role on radar tracking errors.To predict it more efficiently for electrically large targets,a new method based on graphical electromagnetic computing (GRECO) is proposed.With the benefit of the graphic card,the GRECO prediction method is faster and more accurate than other methods.The proposed method at the first time considers the special case that the targets cannot be completely covered by radar beams,which makes the prediction of radar tracking errors more self-contained in practical circumstances.On the other hand,the process of the scattering center extraction is omitted,resulting in possible angular glint prediction in real time.Comparisons between the simulation results and the theoretical ones validate its correctness and value to academic research and engineering applications.Guangfu Zhang Chao Wang Liguo Liu Yunqi Fu Naichang Yuan 2013Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2013,24,6:2
