1Marine Geohazards: Review and Future Perspective显示文摘With offshore resource exploration moving to the deep water, marine geohazards have been attracting attention from the academic and industry. Research achievements of marine geohazards were reviewed in this paper. We analyzed and discussed typical issues among marine geohazards, including coastal erosion, submarine slope failure, turbidity current and special hazards induced by gas hydrate dissociation, in terms of their definition, distribution, characteristics and case studies. Major international projects on marine geohazards headed by the United States, Europe, Japan and other international organizations are introduced as well. Three marine geohazard survey methods, including geophysical survey, geotechnical exploration and in-situ observation, were summarized with a brief description of each approach, respectively. Especially, the history of marine geohazard researches in China is briefly reviewed, showing the disparity between China and developed countries in the study of marine geohazards narrows gradually. 2Progress in Global Gas Hydrate Development and Production as a New Energy Resource显示文摘Natural gas hydrates have been hailed as a new and promising unconventional alternative energy,especially as fossil fuels approach depletion,energy consumption soars,and fossil fuel prices rise,owing to their extensive distribution,abundance,and high fuel efficiency.Gas hydrate reservoirs are similar to a storage cupboard in the global carbon cycle,containing most of the world's methane and accounting for a third of Earth's mobile organic carbon.We investigated gas hydrate stability zone burial depths from the viewpoint of conditions associated with stable existence of gas hydrates,such as temperature,pressure,and heat flow,based on related data collected by the global drilling programs.Hydrate-related areas are estimated using various biological,geochemical and geophysical tools.Based on a series of previous investigations,we cover the history and status of gas hydrate exploration in the USA,Japan,South Korea,India,Germany,the polar areas,and China.Then,we review the current techniques for hydrate exploration in a global scale.Additionally,we briefly review existing techniques for recovering methane from gas hydrates,including thermal stimulation,depressurization,chemical injection,and CH4-CO2 exchange,as well as corresponding global field trials in Russia,Japan,United States,Canada and China.In particular,unlike diagenetic gas hydrates in coarse sandy sediments in Japan and gravel sediments in the United States and Canada,most gas hydrates in the northem South China Sea are non-diagenetic and exist in fine-grained sediments with a vein-like morphology.Therefore,especially in terms of the offshore production test in gas hydrate reservoirs in the Shenhu area in the north slope of the South China Sea,Chinese scientists have proposed two unprecedented techniques that have been verified during the field trials:solid fluidization and formation fluid extraction.Herein,we introduce the two production techniques,as well as the so-called'fbur-in-one'environmental monitoring system employed during the Shenhu production test.Methane is not currently commercially produced from gas hydrates anywhere in the world;therefore,the objective of field trials is to prove whether existing techniques could be applied as feasible and economic production methods for gas hydrates in deep-water sediments and permafrost zones.Before achieving commercial methane recovery from gas hydrates,it should be necessary to measure the geologic properties of gas hydrate reservoirs to optimize and improve existing production techniques.Herein,we propose horizontal wells,multilateral wells,and cluster wells improved by the vertical and in dividual wells applied during existing field trials.It is noteworthy that relatively pure gas hydrates occur in seafloor mounds,within near-surface sediments,and in gas migration conduits.Their extensive distribution,high saturation,and easy access mean that these types of gas hydrate may attract considerable attention from academia and industry in the future.Herein,we also review the occurrence and development of concentrated shallow hydrate accumulations and briefly introduce exploration and production techniques.In the closing section,we discuss future research needs,key issues,and major challenges related to gas hydrate exploration and production.We believe this review article provides insight on past,present,and future gas hydrate exploration and production to provide guidelines and stimulate new work into the field of gas hydrates.LIU Liping SUN Zhilei ZHANG Lei WU Nengyou Yichao Qin JIANG Zuzhou GENG Wei CAO Hong ZHANG Xilin ZHAI Bin XU Cuiling SHEN Zhicong JIA Yonggang 2019Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2019,93,3:13
3Hepatoprotective and antioxidant effects of dietary Glycyrrhiza polysaccharide against TCDD-induced hepatic injury and RT-PCR quantification of AHR2,ARNT2,CYPIA mRNA in Jian Carp(Cyprinus carpio var.Jian)显示文摘To evaluate the protective effects of Glycyrrhiza polysaccharide(GPS) against 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin(TCDD)-induced hepatotoxicity in Jian carp,the fish were fed diets containing GPS at doses of 0.1,0.5 and 1.0 g/kg for 60 days before an intraperitoneal injection of 0.6 μg/kg TCDD at a volume of 0.05 mL/10 g body weight.At 72 hr post-injection,blood and liver samples were taken for biochemical analysis and the fish liver samples were used for the preparation of pathological slices.The results showed that increases in alanine aminotransferase(GPT),aspartate aminotransferase(GOT),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),and alkaline phosphatase(AKP) in serum induced by TCDD were significantly inhibited by pre-treatment with 1.0 g/kg GPS.Following the 1.0 g/kg GPS pre-treatment,total protein(TP),albumin(Alb),catalase(CAT),glutathione peroxidase(GPx),total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC) and superoxide dismutase(SOD) activities in liver tissue increased significantly,malondialdehyde(MDA) formation(P < 0.05 or P < 0.01) was significantly inhibited,and the expression of cytochrome P4501A(CYP1A),aryl hydrocarbon receptor 2(AHR2) and aryl hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator 2(ARNT2) mRNA(P < 0.05) was significantly enhanced.Histological observations on fish liver were obtained by preparing paraffin tissue sections via HE staining,and the results showed that histological changes were obviously reduced by 0.5 and 1.0 g/kg GPS.GPS significantly reduced liver tissue damage caused by TCDD.Overall,these results proved the hepatoprotective effect of GPS in protecting against fish liver injury induced by TCDD,and supported the use of GPS(1.0 g/kg) as a hepatoprotective and antioxidant agent in fish.Jinliang Du Liping Cao Rui Jia Guojun Yin 2017Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,1:7
4Study on cosmogenic activation in germanium detectors for future tonne-scale CDEX experiment显示文摘A study on cosmogenic activation in germanium was carried out to evaluate the cosmogenic background level of natural and ^(70)Ge depleted germanium detectors. The production rates of long-lived radionuclides were calculated with Geant4 and CRY.Results were validated by comparing the simulated and experimental spectra of CDEX-1B detector. Based on the validated codes, the cosmogenic background level was predicted for further tonne-scale CDEX experiment. The suppression of cosmogenic background level could be achieved by underground germanium crystal growth and high-purity germanium detector fabrication to reach the sensitivity requirement for direct detection of dark matter. 6Downregulation of KCTD12 contributes to melanoma stemness by modulating CD271显示文摘Objective: Cancer metastasis remains the primary cause of cancer-related death worldwide.In a previous study, we found that levels of BTB/POZ domain-containing protein KCTD12 are lower in metastatic melanoma cells than in parental melanoma cells.The purpose of this study was to identify the roles of KCTD12 in cancer metastasis.Methods: The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA) datasets were used to evaluate the relationship between KCTD12 and skin cutaneous melanoma(SKCM) prognosis.The effects of endogenous KCTD12 on biological behaviors were examined using the MTT assay.The impacts of KCTD12 on melanoma stemness were explored using spheroid formation assay.KCTD12 knockout A375 cells were generated to confirm the inhibitory effect of KCTD12 on CD271, and a mouse metastatic model was used to determine the impact of KCTD12 on melanoma metastasis in vivo.Results: KCTD12 levels were lower in lung metastatic cells than in paired parental melanoma cells, and low KCTD12 expression indicated a poor prognosis in SKCM.Cancer metastasis-related capacities were higher in lung metastatic cells than in parental melanoma cells.Moreover, KCTD12 knockdown enhanced tumor growth and metastasis both in vitro and in vivo.Mechanistically, the interaction between KCTD12 and CD271 might be responsible for the stemness transformation after KCTD12 knockdown.Conclusions: This study identifies for the first time the role of the interaction between KCTD12 and CD271 in inducing melanoma cell stemness transformation.Moreover, KCTD12 repression enhances melanoma cell growth, adhesion, migration and invasion.Weiyu Shen Yumei Li Bifei Li Liping Zheng Xiaodong Xie Jingqing Le Yusheng Lu Tao Li Fan Chen Lee Jia 2019Cancer Biology & Medicine2019,16,3:4
7Effects of Shuyusan on monoamine neurotransmitters expression in a rat model of chronic stress-induced depression显示文摘Shuyusan, a traditional Chinese medicine, was shown to improve depression symptoms and behavioral scores, as well as increase 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid, and 5-hydroxytryptophan levels, in a rat model of chronic stress-induced depression. However, dopamine, noradrenalin, and 3-methoxy-4-hydroxyphenylglycol expressions remained unchanged following Shuyusan treatment. Compared with the model group, the number of 5-HT-positive neurons in layers 4-5 of the frontal cortex, as well as hippocampal CA1 and CA3 regions, significantly increased following Shuyusan treatment. 8First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. 9Identification of Nonstructural Protein 8 as the N-Terminus of the RNA-Dependent RNA Polymerase of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus显示文摘Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) is a member within the family Arteriviridae of the order Nidovirales. Replication of this positive-stranded RNA virus within the host cell involves expression of viral replicase proteins encoded by two ORFs, namely ORF1 a and ORF1 b. In particular, translation of ORF1 b depends on a-1-ribosomal frameshift strategy. Thus, nonstructural protein 9 (nsp9), the first protein within ORF1 b that specifies the function of the viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, is expressed as the C-terminal extension of nsp8, a small nsp that is encoded by ORF1 a. However, it has remained unclear whether the mature form of nsp9 in virus-infected cells still retains nsp8,addressing which is clearly critical to understand the biological function of nsp9. By taking advantage of specific antibodies to both nsp8 and nsp9, we report the following findings. (1) In infected cells, PRRSV nsp9 was identified as a major product with a size between 72 and 95 k Da (72–95 KDa form), which exhibited the similar mobility on the gel to the in vitro expressed nsp8–9 ORF1 b, but not the ORF1 b-coded portion (nsp9 ORF1 b). (2) The antibodies to nsp8, but not to nsp7 or nsp10, could detect a major product that had the similar mobility to the 72–95 KDa form of nsp9. Moreover, nsp9 could be co-immunoprecipitated by antibodies to nsp8, and vice versa. (3) Neither nsp4 nor nsp2 PLP2 was able to cleave nsp8–nsp9 in vitro. 10First results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from CDEX-1 experiment显示文摘We report the first results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from stage one of the China dark-matter experiment(CDEX).A p-type point-contact high-purity germanium detector with a mass of 994 g has been installed to detect neutrinoless double beta decay events, as well as to directly detect dark matter particles. An exposure of 304 kg d has been analyzed over a wide spectral band from 500 keV to 3 MeV. The average event rate obtained was about 0.012 counts per keV per kg per day over the 2.039 MeV energy range. The half-life of ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay derived based on this result is T^(0ν)1/2>6.4×10^(22) yr(90% C.L.). 11Sustained co-delivery of gemcitabine and cis-platinum via biodegradable thermo-sensitive hydrogel for synergistic combination therapy of pancreatic cancer显示文摘Pancreatic cancer is one of the most devastating cancers with poor prognosis and no significant change in the survival rate over the past decades.Localized targeted drug delivery through interventional endoscopic ultrasonography-guided fine-needle injection (EUS-FNI) is an attractive and minimally invasive strategy for inoperable pancreatic cancer.An injectable in-situ formed long-lasting drug delivery system is a promising alternative for the localized treatment of pancreatic cancer via EUS-FNI.Here,a biodegradable thermo-sensitive copolymer hydrogel for the co-delivery of anticancer agents gemcitabine (GEM) and cis-platinum (DDP) was developed.This hydrogel is a free flowable liquid at room temperature that changes into a semi-solid hydrogel following injection in response to the physiological temperature.Both in vitro and in vivo drug release behaviors indicate sustained drug release of this delivery system.Synergistic cellular proliferation inhibition and desirable apoptosis promotion have been found when pancreatic cancer Bxpc-3 cells were co-cultured with this GEM-DDP/hydrogel system.After a single intratumoral injection,the dual-drug loaded hydrogel formulation exhibited superior anti-tumor efficacy and minimized systemic side effect on pancreatic cancer xenograft mouse model in comparison to the intravenously injected free GEM and DDP combination.In addition,a strong synergistic therapeutic effect of the GEM-DDP/hydrogel system against pancreatic cancer has been found in vitro and in vivo compared to the single-drug loaded hydrogel composites.The obtained findings suggest this developed thermo-sensitive copolymer hydrogel system as a potential universal carrier for the localized targeted delivery of multi-drugs,for use in a variety of inoperable solid tumors.Kun Shi Bingxin Xue Yanpeng Jia Liping Yuan Ruxia Han Fan Yang Jinrong Peng Zhiyong Qian 2019Nano Research2019,12,6:3

14Cyclophosphamide loaded thermo-responsive hydrogel system synergize with a hydrogel cancer vaccine to amplify cancer immunotherapy in a prime-boost manner显示文摘Although neoantigen-based cancer vaccines show great potential in cancer immunotherapy due to their ability to induce effective and long-lasting anti-tumor immunity,their development is hindered by the limitations of neoantigens identification,low immunogenicity,and weak immune response.Cyclophosphamide(CTX)not only directly kills tumors but also causes immunogenic cell death,providing a promising source of antigens for cancer vaccines.Herein,a combined immunotherapy strategy based on temperature-sensitive PLEL hydrogel is designed.First,CTX-loaded hydrogel is injected intratumorally into CT26 bearing mice to prime anti-tumor immunity,and then 3 days later,PLEL hydrogels loaded with CpG and tumor lysates are subcutaneously injected into both groins to further promote anti-tumor immune responses.The results confirm that this combined strategy reduces the toxicity of CTX,and produces the cytotoxic T lymphocyte response to effectively inhibit tumor growth,prolong survival,and significantly improve the tumor cure rate.Moreover,a long-lasting immune memory response is observed in the mice.About 90%of the cured mice survive for at least 60 days after being re-inoculated with tumors,and the distant tumor growth is also well inhibited.Hence,this PLEL-based combination therapy may provide a promising reference for the clinical promotion of chemotherapy combined with cancer vaccines.Fan Yang Kun Shi Ying Hao Yanpeng Jia Qingya Liu Yu Chen Meng Pan Liping Yuan Yongyang Yu Zhiyong Qian 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,10:2
15Fluorouracil-based preoperative chemoradiotherapy with or without oxaliplatin for stage Ⅱ/Ⅲ rectal cancer:a 3-year follow-up study显示文摘Background:Fluorouracil-based preoperative chemoradiotherapy has become the standard treatment for stage II/III rectal cancer.In order to improve the overall survival(OS) and disease-free survival(DFS),we added oxaliplatin to the standard treatment,and compared the effectiveness of these two treatment patterns.Methods:A total of 206 patients enrolled in the prospective study had histologically confirmed rectal cancer of clinical stage II/III during July 2007 to July 2010.They were randomized into the experimental group received oxaliplatin and capecitabine in combination with radiotherapy,and the control group received capecitabine in combination with radiotherapy.All patients received surgery in 6-10 weeks after chemoradiotherapy and adjuvant chemotherapy with m FOLFOX6.The primary endpoints were DFS and OS,and the secondary endpoints included toxicity,compliance,and histopathological response.Results:The 3-year OS in the experimental group and the control group was 90.29% vs.86.41%(P>0.05),and the 3-year DFS was 80.58% vs.69.90%(P>0.05).The pathological complete remission(p CR) rates were 23.30% and 19.42%,respectively(P=0.497).The 3-year local recurrence rates were 4.85% vs.5.83%(P=0.694),and the 3-year distant metastasis rates were 16.50% and 28.16%,respectively(P=0.045).There were no significant differences in most grade 3-4 toxicities between two groups,however,grade 3-4 diarrhea occurred in 16.50%(17/103) of the experimental group,compared with 6.80%(7/103) of the control group(P=0.030).Also,the total grade 3-4 acute toxicity showed a significant difference(10.68% vs.21.36%,P=0.037).Conclusions:The experimental treatment did not lead significantly improved OS and DFS,and thus longer follow-up is warranted for our patient cohort.Adding oxaliplatin to capecitabine-based preoperative chemoradiotherapy can significantly reduce metastasis,but has only minimal impact on local recurrence.Although grade 3-4 toxicity rate increased(primarily gastrointestinal toxicity),patients can stand to be followed up with allopathic treatment.Dexin Jiao Rui Zhang Zhiqiang Gong Fang Liu Yue Chen Qinrui Yu Liping Sun Hongyan Duan Shendong Zhu Fei Liu Jian Wang Jianhui Jia 2015Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2015,27,6:2

18Surface defect-rich ceria quantum dots anchored on sulfur-doped carbon nitride nanotubes with enhanced charge separation for solar hydrogen production显示文摘Designing defect-engineered semiconductor heterojunctions can effectively promote the charge carrier separation.Herein,novel ceria(CeO2) quantum dots(QDs) decorated sulfur-doped carbon nitride nanotubes(SCN NTs) were synthesized via a thermal polycondensation coupled in situ depositionprecipitation method without use of template or surfactant.The structure and morphology studies indicate that ultrafine CeO2 QDs are well distributed inside and outside of SCN NTs offering highly dispersed active sites and a large contact interface between two components.This leads to the promoted formation of rich Ce^(3+) ion and oxygen vacancies as confirmed by XPS.The photocatalytic performance can be facilely modulated by the content of CeO2 QDs introduced in SCN matrix while bare CeO2 does not show activity of hydrogen production.The optimal catalyst with 10% of CeO2 loading yields a hydrogen evolution rate of 2923.8 μmol h-1 g-1 under visible light,remarkably higher than that of bare SCN and their physical mixtures.Further studies reveal that the abundant surface defects and the created 0 D/1 D junctions play a critical role in improving the separation and transfer of charge carriers,leading to superior solar hydrogen production and good stability.Mengru Li Changfeng Chen Liping Xu Yushuai Jia Yan Liu Xin Liu 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,1:1

20Plasmonic Refractive Index Sensors Based on One-and Two-Dimensional Gold Grating on a Gold Film显示文摘In this paper,we propose two kinds of composite structures based on the one-and two-dimensional(1D&2D)gold grating on a gold film for plasmonic refractive index sensing.The resonance modes and sensing characteristics of the composite structures are numerically simulated by the finite-difference time-domain method.The composite structure of the 1D gold semi-cylinder grating and gold film is analyzed first,and the optimized parameters of the grating period are obtained.The sensitivity and figure of merit(FOM)can reach 660 RIU/nm and 169 RIU-1,respectively.Then,we replace the 1D grating with the 2D gold semi-sphere particles array and find that the 2D grating composite structure can excite strong surface plasmon resonance intensity in a wider period range.The sensitivity and FOM of the improved composite structure can reach 985 RIU/nm and 298 RIU-1,respectively.At last,the comparison results of the sensing performance of the two structures are discussed.The proposed structures can be used for bio-chemical refractive index sensing.Jiankai ZHU Xiangxian WANG Yuan WU Yingwen SU Tianxu JIA Hua YANG Liping ZHANG Yunping QI Xiaolei WEN 2020Photonic Sensors2020,10,4:1
