| 1 | Predictors of healthcare-seeking behavior among Chinese patients with irritable bowel syndrome显示文摘AIM To analyze predictors of healthcare-seeking behavior among Chinese patients with irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) and their satisfaction with medical care.METHODS Participating patients met IBS Rome Ⅲ criteria(excluding those with organic diseases) and were enrolled in an IBS database in a tertiary university hospital. Participants completed IBS questionnaires in face-to-face interviews. The questionnaires covered intestinal and extra-intestinal symptoms, medical consultations, colonoscopy,medications, and self-reported response to medications during the whole disease course and in the past year. Univariate associations and multivariate logistic regression were used to identify predictors for frequent healthcareseeking behavior(≥ 3 times/year), frequent colonoscopies(≥ 2 times/year), long-term medications, and poor satisfaction with medical care.RESULTS In total, 516 patients(293 males, 223 females) were included. Participants' average age was 43.2 ± 11.8 years. Before study enrollment, 55.2% had received medical consultations for IBS symptoms. Ordinary abdominal pain/discomfort(non-defecation) was an independent predictor for healthcare-seeking behavior(OR = 2.07, 95%CI: 1.31-3.27). Frequent colonoscopies were reported by 14.7% of patients(3.1 ± 1.4 times per year). Sensation of incomplete evacuation was an independent predictor for frequent colonoscopies(OR = 2.76, 95%CI: 1.35-5.67). During the whole disease course, 89% of patients took medications for IBS symptoms, and 14.7% reported they were satisfied with medical care. Patients with anxiety were more likely to report dissatisfaction with medical care(OR = 2.08, 95%CI: 1.20-3.59). In the past year, patients with severe(OR = 1.74, 95%CI: 1.06-2.82) and persistent(OR = 1.66, 95%CI: 1.01-2.72) IBS symptoms sought medical care more frequently.CONCLUSION Chinese patients with IBS present high rates of frequent healthcare-seeking behavior, colonoscopies, and medications, and low satisfaction with medical care. | 3 | Evaluation of the China Ocean Reanalysis (CORA) in the South China Sea显示文摘The daily regional reanalysis product of the China Ocean Reanalysis(CORA)product was released in website in 2018.Using in situ observational data including Argo profiling floats,drifters,and cruise data,the performance of CORA in the South China Sea in terms of temperature,salinity,current and mixed layer depths is evaluated based on timescale(seasonal and interannual)and spatial distribution characteristics.The CORA temperature,salinity,and mixed layer depth show certain seasonal and interannual variations.In 50-400 m depth in the SCS,the CORA temperature is colder in winter and warmer in summer and autumn.In 0-150 m in the SCS,the CORA salinity is higher in most time of the year.However,in the second half of the year,the salinity is slightly weaker in 100-150 m depth.In most years,the CORA mixed layer depths tend to be shallower,and in season,shallower in winter and deeper in summer.In spatial distribution,the closer the area is to the coast,the greater the CORA errors would be.The CORA temperature is colder in the western side and warmer in the eastern side,resulting in a weaker SCS western boundary current(SCSwbc).In most areas,the CORA mixed layer depths are shallower.In the area close to the coast,the CORA mixed layer depths change rapidly,and the deviations in the mixed layer depths are larger.In the central SCS,the CORA mixed layer depths change slowly,and the deviations in the mixed layer depths are also small. | FAN Maoting WANG Huizan ZHANG Weimin HAN Guijun WANG Pinqiang | 2020 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,6: | 2 |

| 6 | Highly efficient ozone elimination by metal doped ultra-fine Cu_(2)O nanoparticles显示文摘Nowadays,ozone contamination becomes dominant in air and thus challenges the research and development of cost-effective catalyst.In this study,metal doped Cu_(2)O catalysts are synthesized via reduction of Cu^(2+)by ascorbic acid in base solutions containing doping metal ions.The results show that compared with pure Cu_(2)O,the Mg^(2+)and Fe^(2+)dopants enhance the O_(3)removal efficiency while Ni2+depresses the activity.In specific,Mg-Cu_(2)O shows high O3removal efficiency of 88.4%in harsh environment of 600,000 mL/(g·hr) space velocity and 1500 ppmV O_(3),which is one of the highest in the literature.Photoluminescence and electron paramagnetic spectroscopy characterization shows higher concentration of crystal defects induced by the Mg^(2+)dopants,favoring the O3degradation.The in-situ diffuse reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy shows the intermediate species in the O_(3)degradation process change from O_(2)^(2-)dominant of pure Cu_(2)O to O_(2)^(-)dominant of Mg-Cu2O,which would contribute to the high activity.All these results show the promising prospect of the Mg-Cu_(2)O for highly efficiency O_(3)removal. | Anqi Wang Le Zhang Jian Guan Xiaoze Wang Guojun Ma Guijun Fan Hang Wang Ning Han Yunfa Chen | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,12: | 0 |
