| 1 | Enhanced mechanical properties and degradation rate of Mg-Ni-Y alloy by introducing LPSO phase for degradable fracturing ball applications显示文摘In this work,as-cast Mg-Ni-Y alloys were proposed to develop a feasible material for fracturing balls,and their mechanical performance and corrosion behavior were systematically investigated.Long period stacking order(LPSO)phase was firstly introduced to improve both the mechanical properties and degradation rate of magnesium alloys.With the increase of LPSO phase,the compressive strength was improved significantly,while the elongation of the alloys decreased owing to the relatively brittle nature of LPSO phase.Due to the higher corrosion potential of LPSO phase,the LPSO phase can accelerate the corrosion process by providing more micro-couples.However,the LPSO phase would serve as the corrosion barrier between the corrosion medium and the matrix when the contents of LPSO phase are too high in Mg92.5Ni3Y4.5 and Mg87.5Ni5Y7.5 alloys.As-cast Mg97.5Ni1Y1.5 alloy with satisfactory mechanical properties and rapid degradation rate was successfully developed,exhibiting a high degradation rate of 6675 mm/a(93℃)in 3 wt.%KCl solution and a favorable ultimate compressive strength of 410 MPa.The degradation rate of Mg97.5Ni1Y1.5 alloy is 2-5 times of the current commercial magnesium alloy fracturing materials. | Jingfeng Wang Shiqing Gao Xiuying Liu Xing Peng Kui Wang Shijie Liu Weiyan Jiang Shengfeng Guo Fusheng Pan | 2020 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2020,8,1: | 13 |

| 3 | Development of a machine learning model to predict early recurrence for hepatocellular carcinoma after curative resection显示文摘Background:Early recurrence is common for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)after surgical resection,being the leading cause of death.Traditionally,the COX proportional hazard(CPH)models based on linearity assumption have been used to predict early recurrence,but predictive performance is limited.Machine learning models offer a novel methodology and have several advantages over CPH models.Hence,the purpose of this study was to compare random survival forests(RSF)model with CPH models in prediction of early recurrence for HCC patients after curative resection.Methods:A total of 4,758 patients undergoing curative resection from two medical centers were included.Fifteen features including age,gender,etiology,platelet count,albumin,total bilirubin,AFP,tumor size,tumor number,microvascular invasion,macrovascular invasion,Edmondson-Steiner grade,tumor capsular,satellite nodules and liver cirrhosis were used to construct the RSF model in training cohort.Discrimination,calibration,clinical usefulness and overall performance were assessed and compared with other models.Results:Five hundred survival trees were used to generate the RFS model.The five highest Variable Importance(VIMP)were tumor size,macrovascular invasion,microvascular invasion,tumor number and AFP.In training,internal and external validation cohort,the C-index of RSF model were 0.725[standard errors(SE)=0.005],0.762(SE=0.011)and 0.747(SE=0.016),respectively;the Gönen&Heller’s K of RSF model were 0.684(SE=0.005),0.711(SE=0.008)and 0.697(SE=0.014),respectively;the time-dependent AUC(2 years)of RSF model were 0.818(SE=0.008),0.823(SE=0.014)and 0.785(SE=0.025),respectively.The RSF model outperformed early recurrence after surgery for liver tumor(ERASL)model,Korean model,American Joint Committee on Cancer tumor-node-metastasis(AJCC TNM)stage,Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer(BCLC)stage and Chinese stage.The RSF model is capable of stratifying patients into three different risk groups(low-risk,intermediate-risk,high-risk groups)in the training and two validation cohorts(all P<0.0001).A web-based prediction tool was built to facilitate clinical application(http://gffzz8caf4f582aa3478es5pk59puu0ufn65qp.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/surgery_predict/).Conclusions:The RSF model is a reliable tool to predict early recurrence for patients with HCC after curative resection because it exhibited superior performance compared with other models.This novel model will be helpful to guide postoperative follow-up and adjuvant therapy. | Jianxing Zeng Jinhua Zeng Kongying Lin Haitao Lin Qionglan Wu Pengfei Guo Weiping Zhou Jingfeng Liu | 2022 | Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2022,11,2: | 6 |

| 5 | Influence of Ni interlayer on interfacial microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti-6Al-4V/AZ91D bimetals fabricated by a solid–liquid compound casting process显示文摘The solid–liquid compound casting of Mg-AZ91D and Ti-TC4 alloys was developed by using pure Ni electro-deposited coating.The pouring temperatures of 660℃,690℃,720℃and 750℃were chosen to investigated the effects of casting temperatures on microstructural evolution,properties,and fracture behaviors of Ni-coated TC4/AZ91D bimetals by the solid–liquid compound casting(SLCC).The scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and the energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS)results showed that the interfacial zone mainly composed of nickel,Mg_(2)Ni and Mg-Al-Ni in the bimetals cast at 660℃.As the pouring temperature was increased to 750℃,the width of the interface zone,which mainly composed ofδ(Mg),Mg_(2)Ni,Mg-Al-Ni,Mg_(3)TiNi_(2) and Al_(3)Ni,gradually increased.The microhardness tests showed that the micro-hardness of the interface zone was smaller than that of TC4 substrate but larger than that of the cast AZ91D matrix.At the pouring temperature of 720℃,the Ni-coated TC4/AZ91D bimetals had the most typical homogeneous interface,which had granular Mg-Al-Ni ternary phase but no ribbon-like Al3Ni binary phase,and achieved the highest shear strength of 97.35MPa.Meanwhile,further fracture behavior analysis showed that most fracture failure of Ni-coated TC4/AZ91D bimetals occurred at the Mg_(2)Ni+δ(Mg)eutectic structure and Al_(3)Ni hard intermetallic. | Fulin Wen Jianhua Zhao Miaowang Yuan Jingfeng Wang Dengzhi Zheng Jinyong Zhang Ke He Jingjing Shangguan Yu Guo | 2021 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2021,9,4: | 3 |

| 8 | EB病毒膜潜伏蛋白LMP-1筛选鼻咽癌的初步结果(英文)显示文摘Objective: Early diagnosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is an important method to improve the survival rate.However,the sensitivity and specificity of the screening protocols which was widely used in clinic now are considered to be unsatisfactory.Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-encoded latent membrane protein-1 (LMP-1) is one of the proteins that have been suggested to be a classic oncogene with transformation properties.The current study set out to discuss the clinical significance of LMP-1 on the screening of NPC.Methods: Three hundred patients who visited our institution (Department of Radiation Oncology,Fujian Provincial Cancer Hospital,Fuzhou,China) with ENT symptoms between 2007 and 2008 were involved in this study,and all of them were agreed to be involved in this investigation.Not only did they undergo nasopharyngeal swab to obtain cells for the LMP-1 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) analysis,but also nasopharyngeal biopsy were taken to identify the diagnosis.Results: An amount of DNA that was sufficient for PCR was extracted from 243 (81%) swab samples,the positive rate of LMP-1 of those with non-nasopharyngeal carcinoma was 3.85% (4/108),which was much lower than those with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (P < 0.05).By detecting LMP-1 in nasopharyngeal swabs,NPC was diagnosed with a sensitivity of 88.15% (119 of 135 patients),specificity of 96.30% (104 of 108 patients),a positive predictive value of 95.2% (119 of 123 patients),a negative predictive value of 86.67% (104 of 120 patients),accuracy of 91.77%,and Youden index of 84.45%.Conclusion: The nasopharyngeal swab coupled with PCR-based EBV LMP-1 detection have high sensitivity and specificity,and also good repeatability,it could serve as part of the screening program for high-risk populations. | Shaojun Lin Qiaojuan Guo Jin Lin Jingfeng Zong Lu Han Jianji Pan | 2011 | The Chinese-German Journal of Clinical Oncology2011,10,1: | 2 |

| 14 | Study on the effects of the different polar group of EPA-enriched phospholipids on the proliferation and apoptosis in 95D cells显示文摘EPA-enriched phosphatidylcholine(EPA-PC)and EPA-enriched phosphatidylethanolamine(EPA-PE)are newly identified marine phospholipids.The polar group of phospholipids is known to influence EPA-phospholipid activity.However,the differences in anti-tumor effects between EPA-PC and EPA-PE have not been reported.In this study,we evaluated the effects of two forms of EPA on the proliferation and apoptosis in the lung-cancer cell line 95D as well as possible molecular mechanisms.Our results showed that EPA-PC effectively inhibited proliferative activity and promoted apoptosis of 95D cells in a dose-dependent manner,while EPA-PE had no effect on cell proliferation,although it slightly promoted apoptosis.Western blot results showed that EPA-PC and EPA-PE upregulated the expression of PPARy,RXRoc,and PTEN,and downregulated the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway.Furthermore,EPA-PC and EPA-PE induced the expression of the pro-apoptotic gene,Bax,and reduced the expression of the anti-apoptotic gene,Bcl-xl.Additionally,EPA-PC and EPA-PE promoted the release of cytochrome c and activated the apoptotic enzyme-cleaved caspase-3.These data suggest that the anti-tumor effect of EPA-phospholipids may be exerted via a PPARy-related mechanism.EPA-PC was more efficacious as compared to EPA-PE,which might be due to the different polar groups of phospholipids. | Yao Guo Qin Zhao Yingying Tian Yuanyuan Liu Ziyi Yan Changhu Xue Jingfeng Wang | 2021 | Marine Life Science & Technology2021,3,4: | 1 |
